"The Rind is all about cheese: Cheese plates, mac ‘n’ cheese, grilled cheese, cheesy desserts — it’s all here, and it’s all prepared well. Consider it the ideal stop to experience California’s delicious bounty of dairy, with a thoughtful wine and beer list for pairing." - Janelle Bitker

Everything we got was amazing, if a little expensive. I got the lobster mac and a rosé, and split creme brulee with my wife. Everything was to die for! The servers were friendly and informative. The restaurant had great vibes and the service was pretty fast!

The Rind is a cheese lover’s dream! I tried the T-Brie D, and it’s hands-down the BEST grilled cheese I’ve ever had. 🧀The cheesy potatoes? Incredible—creamy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. ✨ The hospitality was top-notch; the team made me feel right at home. ❤️ I can’t wait to come back and explore more of the menu. If you love cheese and wine, The Rind is a must-visit!

This place is a dream from the ambiance to the service. Everything was of the utmost enjoyment to our charcuterie board. It was fantastic. The way all the flavors danced across our palette, the wine and beer pairing were flawless. It actually made me want to order more just to see what else blended with our drinks. It was a culinary adventure that i would wish to take again. If you truly into charcuterie or just a relaxing evening out. Please give this place a try you cannot go wrong i promise you that.

Good food and great options for beer etc, expensive though, 20$ for a grilled cheese and a little bit of Prosciutto. Sandwich was very salty but good, ask for the side dressings for the greens, I got vinaigrette and it was really good. The cider beer was strong and something to get used to for sure and for 12$ seemed over priced. My meal came out to about 33$ for one beer and a grilled cheese. Was a good experience with friendly staff though. I really liked the like history of beer poster in the bathroom, that was pretty cool Also they don't split your bill so keep that in mind.

First time in Sacramento and stumbled upon this place. We went for some drinks, but wish we hadn't eaten beforehand because they boast an amazing food menu. They offer curated cheese boards with artisan cheeses from around the country and world with flavor descriptions. They also offer other cheese related dishes like fondue, Raclette on certain knights, and grilled cheese sandwiches, Mac n cheese, etc. They offer a lot of gluten free options. The wine list was interesting and well priced. The staff was super cool, it was fun getting to chat with them, it was just a great overall atmosphere and cozy vibe. Can't wait to go back next time I'm in town.

Google
Meh services. I asked some questions because I had never been there. I stated that in the beginning. The bartender seemed annoyed and unable to explain how it all worked. Ultimately, what was put on our charcuterie board did taste very good but my single glass of wine was $20.

I come here on Mondays when my gluten free friend comes to Sac & most of the fav gf restaurants are closed. Some of the gf macaroni & cheese dishes are great & served hot in a cast iron dish. Some macs are not great & served in a regular dish that arrived cold, back to oven for 5 mins, came back cold & in a fresh, cold dish. Nice salads. Seems like seasonal dishes? Really expensive for what is served. Nice staff. Clean, cool place.

A must visit when in Midtown! The T-Brie-D sandwich is amazing. Do not share! You will want your own. We paired it with a Greek salad which was delicious. Just the right amount of veggies and feta and the peppers added some lovely zing. Jimmy was incredibly helpful and delightful in supporting our decisions and making suggestions. I had a glass of the Albariño which was tasty. My husband had the non alcoholic beer which was good and not one of his usuals which he liked. I am looking forward to traveling back through Sacramento to stop at The Rind to check out more of their menu but if I am going to be completely honest, I’m having the T-Brie-D sandwich again because it was perfect!

Yelp
The Rind - Sacramento If you're craving comfort food done right, The Rind is a must-visit. Their mac and cheese is creamy and perfectly cheesy, and their grilled cheese sandwiches are golden and melty--especially the T-Brie, which is an absolute favorite of mine. Paired with a fresh arugula salad, it's the perfect balance of rich and peppery flavors. Their great selection of white wines also pairs beautifully with the menu, making the experience even better. Add in friendly, attentive service, and The Rind consistently delivers a fantastic meal.

Yelp
If your a Wine enthusiast or just enjoy wine and atmosphere this is a place for you. We had the pleasure of being served by the best!! Gibson, Jamie, and Jodi are such Wonderful people. They love their customers and it shows. If you're undecided on what you want just ask and they assist you accordingly. We wanted to order the charcuterie board but There were so many meat and cheese selections we asked Jamie to make it her way. It was an awesome plate. They also have relaxing music and i personally love the Cranberries!! We will be back soon!

Yelp
This place is tiny but it's packed with personality! This is such a wonderful spot to try yummy wines and explore new cheeses. While the food is expensive, it was worth it because WOW. That's some of the best Mac and Cheese I've ever had! I have a gluten intolerance and I love that they can make just about everything GF upon request! They have a lovely patio to enjoy views of Midtown while you sip your wine and enjoy your nibbles. It's a must-try spot and I'm excited to go back!

Yelp
This place has a very nice ambiance. A lot of people came for a Friday night date night and the vibes are perfect for a romantic night out. The pesto pasta was AMAZING and so was the pear salad. I loved how the pasta was not heavy in the stomach like most pastas. We actually went out and danced after eating the pasta and had a wonderful night out. My boyfriend really enjoyed the wine he ordered and they allowed him to sample some brands he was curious about. The staff was on top of things and very friendly. They were on top of things without being overbearing which I loved. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we would definitely come back to The Rind. Come here for a romantic date night in midtown Sacramento.

Yelp
We traversed here for a birthday celebration. I wasn't super impressed. $18 for a grilled cheese sandwich that came with a non appetizing 3 pieces of lettuce (salad)? Yea not super happy. Plus, the cheese itself was too sharp. To fancy. Sometimes simplicity works! Then they served room temp water... without ice.... Huh? I know in some countries ice isn't the norm... but in Sacramento??? Also the parking sucks and the parking lots are expensive. Only thing I can say went well was the ambiance. I probably won't return. It wasn't necessarily a bad place it just wasn't for me.

Yelp
I passed by this cute cheese and wine bar on my way back from the farmers market and thought it's so cute. So the next day I stopped by. The place is cheese focused and you can see the wall of cheese selections (nice!!). I sat at the bar where I can see the cheese action. The cheese expert Tammy curates cheeses based on the wine you order which is so cool to watch. For my drink, the staff recommend a Pinot Grigio cuz it's a hot day and I wanted something refreshing. His recommendation is spot on. Based on my white wine. Cheese expert curated for me a cheese plate with three cheeses, crostinis, fruit, nuts and fruit puree. The three cheese are: Bermuda Triangle: soft cheese with a little good funk Pecorino: hard cheese with intense savory and goes well with sweet accompaniment Coco Gouda: semi soft cheese (I think?) that very interestingly really got coconut flavor so cool. Service is fantastic. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly and incredibly patient. I'm still very much new to cheese so cheese expert Tammy went into great detail to introduce the cheeses and their characteristics. I definitely wanna come back and try more things!

Yelp
Great selection of beer and wine. We sat on the patio to have a drink with the doggo. Can't wait to go back and try the food! Cheers!

Yelp
Wow! Love this place! Love this concept! Who doesn't love gourmet cheese! Really great ambiance. The cheese assortment is off the chart! We asked our server (who was so nice, knowledgeable and attentive!) and she gave us great cheese recommendations. The cheese can be purchased separately as well which is great to know you can just stop in a grab some! They serve wine and beer only...great wine! Looking around at the other tables to spy on other orders...every cheese tray looked delicious! I look forward to going back!

Yelp
Do you love cheese? Do you love wine? Do you love good vibes? Then the Rind is the place for you! My friend and I had a girls day here recently after another friend consistently bragged about how great this place was so we needed to find out. We had an amazing experience that was both delicious and fun. We ordered the T-Brie-D and Not Your Dad's Mac to share and both dishes were absolutely drool worthy! The T-Brie-D was warm, gooey and, savory. The. Mac and cheese was rich and also savory with my favorite Point Reyes blue cheese. It was easily one of the best mac & cheeses I've ever had. We each had wine to go with the cheesy goodness. I dont recall what I had but I do recall that my friend said the at the Moscato was easily the best moscato she's ever had. The atmosphere was great. The woman behind the bar was helpful and kind. We didn't even ask but when she brought us our sandwich that we planned to share she had it on two plates with two separate side salads. I definitely appreciated that. I was surprised by the music but in a good way. I wasn't expecting reggae and I was here for it. I enjoyed singing along. It was a fun and relaxing vibe. We had unexpected entertainment from someone dancing to the music out front. It was a quirky moment that gave us a good laugh. If you're looking for a cozy spot to enjoy great cheesy food, yummy wine, and a cool vibe then The Rind is the place for you. Cannot wait to come back and enjoy more cheesy goodness! My mouth is drooling just writing this review.

Yelp
DELICIOUS. I came here during a lunch break and it did not disappoint. The food is amazing - I did not get any drinks from the bar but was impressed with the variety. My favorite things was the roasted tomato soup (comes with a cheese crisp for a nice crunch), and the Triple-Brie-D sandwich. These are must try's. The lobster Mac and cheese is garlicky (I love garlic) and the lobster was delicious. These service was great and the store front is really nice. Although the storefront is small, I was able to get seated right away. I will be back the next time I want a grilled cheese or tomato soup. It's that amazing.

Yelp
If you are a cheese lover and looking for a cute restaurant then check out The Rind! Went with a friend on a Monday afternoon around 12:30pm and it was not too crowded. We found parking in a garage nearby. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant! It was nicely decorated with plants and flowers, and there was nice background music. There is limited indoor seating. We ordered two glasses of the sparkling Rose, one cheese board, one French Onion grilled cheese with a cup of soup (roasted tomato is the only option), and one Twisted Classic grilled cheese with a cup of soup. Cheese Board (3/5): First time trying a cheese board! Beautiful presentation. Cheeses are already pre-selected so we were glad we didn't have to make another tough decision. We liked the fruit and jam but otherwise, the cheeses were good but nothing particularly unique. For $24, it was a bit expensive. Twisted Classic Grilled Cheese (3.5/5): My friend liked this one over the French Onion but I thought it was a little oily/salty. Would recommend getting the soup with it French Onion Grilled Cheese (4.5/5): I liked this one the best. The mustard and onion provided a different flavor and texture that I appreciated. A little oily but delicious sandwich. Also recommend getting the soup with it Roasted Tomato Soup (3.5/5): Paired well with the grilled cheeses. I thought it was a little light on its own and it could be a little more creamy/flavorful Overall, the food was a little pricey (total was $133 with tip) but it is a unique restaurant and I enjoyed the vibe. Service was good. I would come back to get the French onion grilled cheese again and try the Mac and cheese!

Yelp
This review is horribly overdue. First I have to say that I admire Sara Arbabian as a female entrepreneur and wonderful contributing member to community. She is part of what makes Sacramento a great place to live! We spent a most wonderful afternoon here. I hadn't been in a while and am kicking myself for letting it go so long. My guest was celebrating her birthday and still gushes about what a wonderful experience it was. The food was just incredible, the service (sorry I didn't get his name) was outstanding, and the whole patio vibe was intoxicating. Seriously, there is something on the menu for everyone. Please support your local community and those who give back to it. It's part of what makes Sacramento amazing.

Yelp
The Rind has been on my list of places to dine at and it did not disappoint. The roasted tomato soup was very creamy and delicious. By far, one of the best tomato soup in the Sacramento area. The Brie LT was just okay. What I really enjoyed was the lobster Mac. It was extremely cheesy and creamy with loads of flavor in every bite. I love that this dish comes with cherry tomato's. Also, one of the best Mac and cheese in the Sacramento area.

Yelp
This place is cute bougie . I loved the vibe with the old movie playing and photos. Kinda seemed like a female ambience we ordered the calamari and the pounded. Chicken special was a little bit dripping with too much sauce, but everything was tasty and the little side salad was delicious some sort of awesome balsamic salad dressing. Everyone was friendly and I would definitely go back.
google avatar

Malikah H.

Yelp
Let's start with the highs. The service was great. While the location itself is tiny the day my friend and I came they were pretty empty so we were able to getting seated at a high top inside that gave us plenty of elbow space. We selected the happy hour house red wine and a charcuterie board. Both were okay but boy was it a not so happy hour price lol. Clearly we were just living off vibes and really didn't think to ask for prices but the board we got with the addition of the cheese came out to $24 and $7 to add the 3 meats or cheese and the house wine on happy hour was $11. The price seemed pretty steep for what we actually got but cest la vie. I would defiantly recommend taking a few steps in either direction as there are an abundant amount of places around that area that you could enjoy more bang for your buck and have some tasty small bites. However if you want to splurge and enjoy the vibes this place is a solid choice
google avatar

Nia H.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to frequent when I feel like having a glass out of the house. I always enjoy the space-- inside & out. This time, I spent time here celebrating something of a milestone... and I enjoyed our selection. Surprisingly! The charcuterie board was sooooo good; the server who put it together we could tell she put some thought into it-- since every board is made to order. It was fantastic! Additionally, the wine we chose from the Crisp & Bright section of the menu paired really well. I look forward to circling back the next time I find myself celebrating.

Yelp
Stopped for a quick bite to eat before heading to the snow! We shared the twisted classic grilled cheese and secret soup. It was very delicious and warming on this rainy day! Great service and cute spot
google avatar

Sylvia A.

Yelp
The not your dads Mac & Truffle croque Monsieur (grilled cheese) The grilled cheese was yummy and the Mac was okay. The service however was not good. It took them 20 minutes to take our order, 40min to get our food after people who ordered after us and they weren't even packed. They weren't rude and neither were we but definitely a let down.
google avatar

Tash M.

Yelp
Mmmm....cheese is one of my major food groups, and this place was a major hit! Very cozy spot with some tasty comfort food! The manchego Montoya gave me a perfect cheese fix! I could have used a bit more zing, but the romesco and balsamic made it palatally quite interesting. Great beer selection to cut through all that cheesy bliss. They have cheese to purchase as well. Service was helpful and prompt.
google avatar

April S.

Yelp
The flamenco grilled cheese sandwich was fantastic. Served with a tasty side salad. Love the cheese board with delicious accompaniments. I appreciate all the various cheese choices! I love that the staff is knowledgeable about the cheeses! The Oreo cheesecake is unexpectedly delicious! The inside decor is cute and modern, wine and cheese themed. Seating available outside as well. Service is always wonderful. I can't wait to visit here again!
google avatar

Breanna S.

Yelp
We got to check out this place while visiting some friends in the Sac area. I ordered the T-Brie-D and a side salad, in addition, I had a Riesling to pair with it. It was delicious! My husband also got the Not Your Mom's Mac (not pictured) and it was delicious from the bite I had. The service was pretty good, we didn't get any refills on water which was a bummer, but it was welcoming enough. The ambiance is nice and cozy, with a comfy seating area. This restaurant isn't the largest, and the outside dining area was open but it was cold when we went, but luckily we scored a spot inside. Overall, wonderful food, and will be back again soon!

Yelp
I have gone to the Rind soooo many times and I've never been disappointed. The food and drinks are equally delicious. The service is always quick and informative. I really like that this is a spot you can get a little dressed up for a night out or a semi causal spot with some friends.
google avatar

Yelp
Great selection of cheese & wine! The persimmon jam, oh my! Terrific people and great wine and service! Cute spot for date night or girls night out! Go here!!

Yelp
Four of us came here from the airport. Street parking only. A small place with only a few tables, only one could hold more than 4 people. The menu for food is small...cheese sandwiches and Mac and cheese. There are variations on both, but after not eating for 10 hours, I was really hungry and needed more choices. I was surprised at the prices but not knowing anything about Sacramento, maybe it was the norm. One of us got a Mediterranean platter and was shocked that it was so small. The rest of us got Mac and cheese but different variations. I got the one with shrimp and it had a few small half pieces of bacon on top. It was good....some bread would have helped it go down better. Service was good and we all had water to drink. Had a 2 1/2 hour drive ahead of us. We ate when we got home and I felt better.

Eileen G.

Yelp
Lovely afternoon snacking outside with some wine. The service was great. We were greeted quickly and checked in on often. I liked the caviar dip but liked the Brie fondue even better.
google avatar

Sam L.

Yelp
On top of the wide, and ever changing variety of still and sparkling wines that this place holds, Tammy & Jaime are the reasons i keep coming back. Great wine + good food + even better service = an overall amazing time. Never any complaints.
google avatar

Katie B.

Yelp
I wholeheartedly recommend trying this spot at least once to get a personalized cheese board. It's a small shop with a few tables outside and inside and bar style seating inside as well. This has became our weekly spot as we've gotten more interested in trying a variety of cheeses. The options are wonderful and it's great to get the opportunity to sample new ones each visit while also choosing some of our favorites. Being able to create your own each time is what's really the best. I would like to see more wine and beer options but usually we are able to pick one we like. I also wish they had a high chair but we make it work without one. We've had at least 7 different cheese/bar tenders help us and Devin is our favorite. He is such a delight and always gives us great explanations and recommendations. Very knowledgeable. We got a chance to briefly meet and chat with the owner and she was very sweet and attentive. Check it out!
google avatar

Sarah D.

Yelp
First off, the ambience of this restaurant is amazing! It's so cozy and the service here is great. We got the lobster Mac and cheese and the grilled cheese with apple in it (sorry forgot the name). Honestly the food was good but I don't think it's worth the price point. The grilled cheese was a little bit too sweet for my liking and the lobster Mac and cheese was just okay.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try out The Rind for some time now and boy are we glad we did. My husband and I typically order two entrees and share them in order to experience more of the menu. We decided to go with a couple grilled cheese sandwiches - Manchego Montoya and the T-Brie-D. Both were a marriage of well thought out top quality ingredients that tasted like a recipe from heaven. Look up their menu and read the ingredients. Amazeballs. Our friendly and attentive server was knowledgeable and helped us choose the perfect bottle of wine to pair with our meal. I must admit that I was envious of the amazing looking Mac and Cheese dish at the table next to ours. Next time we will do the Mac. Classy but casual, you can sit at their small bar or choose table seating. This is not a large restaurant. It is more intimate and cozy. Overall our experience was a great one that will keep us coming back.

A C.

Yelp
We started coming here when we were first checking out the Sacramento area. We have always had a friendly experience. Very sweet knowledgeable staff. I can alway count on them to help me set up a yummy cheese board, sparkling wine, and beer for the husband. Cute little set up. It's a little on the cozy side but I love that for this setting.
google avatar

Blanche M.

Yelp
Recently came here with some friends, and we loved their intimate setting. Immediately our waitress helped us, and helped us figure out our options for that night. Service was on point, and quick. A friend ordered our items, and we all shared. We told them our taste in cheese, and they were able to match it to the tee. Also found a good bottle of wine for us to share. We ordered their charcuterie board and their grilled cheese. All were so filling, of course along with the wine. We were not disappointed at all. We ended up staying up until close, and the staff was very courteous of our time. Never once did they push us out, and we were grateful. We will definitely be back!

Arlet O.

Yelp
This place is absolutely amazing! If you love cheese wine and fresh food, this is the place! So delicious! Can't wait to come back. I hope they expand to SoCal. We loved this place!

Yelp
I had looked at this restaurant a few times in the past, but not gone - don't make my mistake....GO EAT HERE. I went in for meal before a concert at the B Street Theater....it was perfect. I had a grilled cheese with salad and an amazing dessert. The wine choices were great - and as I was a woman eating alone....the great service stood out. Folks chatted (I sat at the bar) and the ambiance was friendly and knowledgeable. I'll go back to eat the amazing cheese choices (when I have time to savor, and maybe share). Don't make the same mistake I made last year....get in the car and go there!
google avatar

Gabe R.

Yelp
Not my first time here but similar experience to my previous one. Good vibes and attentive staff. The environmentally friendly menu you have to scan with your phone is a lost opportunity as not everyone wants to come to a restaurant and immediately get on their phone (at least this old fart doesn't). As I am in front of a screen all day I found it annoying but once food was ordered I was able to relax a bit. I like gazing at the cheese wall and the noise level was appropriate for the amount of people in the restaurant. Went with a classic grilled cheese and shared a cheeseboard. Really enjoyed everything but found one of the cheeses (can't recall the name but believe it was from the Netherlands) to be a bit on the bland side. Overall, had a great time and look forward to returning.

Yelp
The Rind is typically our go to place. Good food, decent service. They don't take reservations ever as listed on their website, even on holidays as we've visited on Valentine's Day in the past. This year when visiting the restaurant at 5pm on Valentine's Day, we were told that they were only going based on reservations. When we explained that the website says otherwise, the waitress/hostess said the information was written on their instagram about needing reservations. This type of updates should be written on your website, not social media only. Especially when other years you've done otherwise. Because of this we had to find a backup on one of the busiest nights of the year.

Daralynn M.

Yelp
The Rind has the best lobster Mac and cheese! I have had lobster Mac and cheese from several other places, and I can say without a doubt their lobster Mac and Cheese is THE BEST! 10/10
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
My friend and I met up at the Rind on a rainy day and the experience was so cozy and yummy! The staff offered delicious cheese and wine pairings and the grilled cheese and tomato soup was perfect on a cold day. I would definitely recommend if you enjoy good wine and a wide variety of cheese pairing in a quaint setting!
google avatar

Husam A.

Yelp
To be honest this is one of the best spots that I can say I love going to! The entire staff is amazing and nice! Their cheese list is mouthwatering! Everything is so beautiful and classy!
google avatar

Yelp
Do you love a gourmet grilled cheese? If so, this is your spot. There's a QR code on the table with the menu, so click on that to check what they have. Great wines. Chill but refined atmosphere. Good service.
google avatar

Annalee M.

Yelp
Overall, a decent place. The wine list was nice -- good variety to choose from. The cheese plate was average: not bad, but nothing memorable. The atmosphere was pleasant, though a bit noisy at times. Service was okay. I might give it another try.
google avatar

KC C.

Yelp
We stopped by the Rind, although it wasn't packed the service was very slow. I completely understand there was only two servers but it took us some time to order. After 20m of waiting at the table did someone take our order. We decided on a glass of wine and something light. It took another 30m before the charcuterie board finally arrived. I had already finished my glass of Pinot by then. I also wasn't too excited about the board. The server was munching on something as she delivered the board. Hopefully she wasn't munching from the same board she just delivered. If you're looking for more of a low-key, chill vibe, and looking for wine and cheese then this is your spot.

Yelp
Great service, i had a 12 year old that was picky. They made her a salad and put the ingredients on the side . That was kind of them . The food was amazing, the charcuterie board , rhetorical grilled cheese and the Mac and cheese. Ill be going back .
google avatar

Kristina G.

Yelp
I would really recommend this place very clean and cute inside plus great food I give 5 stars I suggest to order the lobster Mac and cheese and the truffle grilled cheese bomb

Yelp
I wanted to try their Mac & Cheese, so my husband & I stopped by on a weekday night. I had the Shroom Mac 2.0 with a cup of tomato soup. I also ordered the side of Pickled Veggies and the Orange Creamsicle Cheesecake (Seasonal Cheesecake) for dessert. My husband tried the Pesto Masquerader 2.0 (Mac & Cheese). They have both outdoor and indoor seating. I opted for outside, of course the downside to this that I didn't think about is that service seemed to take a while since you're not in their immediate eyesight. However, all staff were very pleasant and provided good service. I really enjoyed their house-made Pickled Veggies. Although the portion is quite small for the price you pay, which I'd say applies to all their menu items, I love pickled items! It had cauliflower, jalapeño, a small slice of cucumber, and garlic. It had a bit of a kick to it - probably from the jalapeños. The Shroom Mac was so-so. I was expecting it to have a bigger flavor profile, but I couldn't really taste anything behind the cheesiness/oiliness/greasiness (so there might have well not been any mushrooms topping the dish). It was interesting because it was reaaally cheesy - a bit too much cheese for my preference. I couldn't finish the entire dish since it felt really heavy. Then I tried a bite of my husband's Pesto and discovered his Mac & Cheese was incredibly dry. I don't know how their Pesto usually is served, but i felt like my dish had received his portion of cheese too....it would've been nice if my dish had less cheese and his had more. Flavor-wise, I enjoyed the Pesto Mac much more. The Tomato Soup wasn't served warm/hot, but I still enjoyed the flavor alongside my Mac & Cheese. It's served with a cheese (Parmigiano-Reggiano) crisp, and that was delicious! The Orange Creamsicle Cheesecake, which is seasonal, was pretty good. I don't typically like citrus-based desserts, but I still enjoyed the cheesecake despite this. It was very light and the whipped cream & graham cracker crust was delicious! When weighing the price to the portion/taste, it seems likely that I won't stop by again for a little while, but it was a nice dining experience!

Yelp
3.5 stars. I really wanted to love this place because I love grilled cheese and I love Mac n cheese, but it fell short of 4 star quality for me. This place isn't great for kids- we went with a baby, and kids aged 3, 4, and 6. My kids didn't really like the food- they basically ate bread and stole the prosciutto from my Mac n cheese. I got the T-Brie-D grilled chesde sandwich because it was voted best grilled cheese in the nation. I don't like sourdough though so I asked them to sub in non-sourdough bread. They used a thicker bun type bread which didn't really fit the grilled cheese type- it didn't get all grilled and crispy. J's Manchego Montoya grilled cheese was good. The sourdough wasn't too sour tasting, so maybe I should have just kept the sourdough on my T-Brie-D. bro-in-law got the Parmigiano King Mac which was pretty good. Don't get the green Mac n cheese unless you reeeeeeeeeally like the idea of Mac n cheese that tastes very heavily of peas. I thought it would be good but it tasted like someone's mom was trying to sneak veggies into her kid's meal. It was not good. They're small, only a handful of tables and bar seating indoors, and a handful of tables outside. Would recommend trying to make a reservation if you have a group that's bigger than 4.

Yelp
Food? Ordered the burrata plate and... yum! The pea purée was a great pairing with the cheese itself and toasted bread drizzled with olive oil. Perfectly refreshing after walking through the farmers market going on nearby Service? Great. Everyone was friendly and quick to get me food/drinks. Ambiance? Lovely. I sat at the bar to relax and watch my shows on phone. Wasn't too noisy and occasionally eves dropped on the groups juicy drama next to me. Highly recommend a visit to unwind without being rushed.

Yelp
I have been here a handful of times! I love the food, the service is incredible, and the vibe is so chill. We are big fans of the cheeseboard! We come in all the time for wine and cheese! I highly recommend The Rind! It never fails! Keep up the good work!!!

Yelp
The Shroom Mac was delicious and served with pea sprouts on top. The tomato soup was served with a cheese brittle-like cracker. The soup wasn't served hot so it probably wasn't fresh. The pickled vegetables were delicious and accompanied the food well. The Pesto Masquerader didn't have much cheese so not sure if it should be considered "mac and cheese". The Seasonal Cheesecake was delicious and not too heavy. Service was adequate, although the server was forgetful. The food is definitely on the expensive side. Most customers order wine so the price and smaller portions of food is probably worth it if you're inhibited. There was a "Handle District" surcharge of $0.95. CA Sale's Tax was also applied to the surcharge, however a surcharge is not an item that is subject to CA Sale's Tax.

Yelp
I've had this bookmarked in Yelp for a while now and finally got to try it with my sister! Service: 10/10 My sister and I sat down at a random 2 person table and the server got us waters. He noticed that the table was wobbly, so he went to get some half cut corks to keep the table stable! To be honest, I didn't even notice and other restaurants wouldn't have given it a second thought unless I brought it up. My sister and I ordered the manchego grilled cheese, lobster mac & cheese, and a tomato soup. After we placed our order, the server told us the Brie T is actually their most popular and was voted the best!! It was obvious we wanted to change our order, so he helped us get it all sorted with the kitchen. It was super fast and easy :) Food: The Brie T was the BEST grilled cheese we've ever had. We are both fans of something sweet in our meals and this hit the spot. I would describe it as a charcuterie board enveloped in a grilled cheese! The fuji apple and salted caramel sauce provided a wonderful contrast to the prosciutto and brie! We also dipped the grilled cheese in the tomato soup, surprisingly it just made it better!!! Onto the lobster mac, this was tasty! It had spices in it that a normal mac & cheese doesn't have! The Lobster isn't throughout the mac though, only laid on top I would definitely come back!! Next time I'll have someone else drive so I can sip wine with the vast varieties of cheeses :)
