Beaver Creek holds a special place in my heart. I lived & worked here, and met my husband Smoke here over 20 years ago! We come through for a few days when we can. The Ritz Carlton in Bachelor’s Gulch is a wonderful summertime escape. The property is peaceful, the staff is friendly and attentive and the vibe is relaxed and dog friendly. Delicious food at Wyld too. A special shout out to the manager Chase, who went out of his way to take care of a special request for us. We’ll be back for sure and I absolutely recommend staying here.

We came here for a meal and to enjoy pool time for the evening. Anna at Fireside bar and grill made my 5 year old son and I feel so welcome and special. Her service was unmatched! We will remember our experience there for years to come. Also, Mark at the front entry was incredibly kind and helpful as well! We sincerely enjoyed our evening at The Ritz!

We came to celebrate our engagement and had a phenomenal time! The staff were pleasant and helpful throughout the resort and we felt welcomed and pampered from the moment we pulled into the inviting courtyard driveway. Thanks to my Marriott status and a particularly gracious team member at the check-in counter, we were treated to a wonderful suite with a view that made our stay feel extra special. Our furry friend was accommodated beyond our expectations when we ran out of dog food and our waiter at WYLD offered us "puppy chow" from the kitchen. As a result, our dog dined with us for breakfast on the patio with a great looking bowl full of unseasoned beef, rice, and eggs. We can't wait to come back and visit this special resort supported by truly wonderful people. Thank you all again!

We recently stayed at the resort. Throughout our stay, the public spaces—from the lounge to the restaurant—were crowded with guests primarily focused on a lively social scene rather than relaxation. While there is certainly a place for that atmosphere, it was not balanced with spaces designed for tranquility or a more curated experience.||The staff were courteous in a perfunctory way but lacked the attentiveness and anticipation of needs that distinguish exceptional hospitality. For instance, when I inquired about spa services at 6:00 p.m. on a Monday, no one was available to assist, and the front desk offered little more than an invitation to return the next day. At a resort positioning itself as a property comparbale to the Four Seasons, one expects a knowledgeable team empowered to provide clear information and proactive solutions without delay.||Service across the board felt reactive rather than genuinely guest-focused. The front desk, which sets the tone for the entire stay, did not demonstrate the warmth or efficiency that typically defines luxury accommodations.||Those seeking a serene retreat should also be aware that there is no dedicated adult pool, and the main pool area is consistently active with families and children. Housekeeping was similarly inconsistent, and the guest rooms did not convey the meticulous attention to detail or sense of calm that are hallmarks of the world’s best hotels.||While the property has potential, it lacks the thoughtful touches and refined service culture that create a truly memorable experience beyond naming dropping that you stayed at the Ritz Carlton. Ultimately, guests should feel genuinely welcomed and cared for, not simply processed.

We’ve stayed here twice and had a lovely experience both times. We stayed at a different property over July 4th weekend but made it a point to drive to RC on July 4th for lunch and drinks outside. Ugh. Terrible mistake and *almost* let it put a damper on our trip because I feel so taken advantage of. The service was TERRIBLE. My husband would rather eat sand than ever complain, but he was absolutely over it. I’m not interested in getting the person that provided the service in trouble but the last 2 experiences we’ve had at a RC have been super disappointing so this will be our last. I’m sad that a place that we loved so much has left us with such a bad taste. The good news is that we’ve found Hyatt to be wonderful so all is not lost.

My wife and I have really enjoyed our vacation at the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch! The property is beautiful and the staff very friendly! We had Chris Beeson with Signature Photographers take our photos on the property and it was a great experience. Can’t wait to come back!

It doesn't get any better! Ritz-Carlton bachelor gulch knocked it out of the park in every aspect. Lodging, rooms, pool, workout facility spotlessly clean, updated and easy. Convenient shuttle service to take you anywhere you want to go. Dining, any meal you order from any of the restaurants will be the best meal you've ever had. Made to order, cooked to perfection by their expert chefs, promptly served hot and tasty by their incredible servers. Ski/Snow board experience second to none. Miles of expertly groomed runs, warming houses, restaurants, and convenient bathrooms throughout. All staff members we encountered were knowledgeable, polite and paid exceptional attention to detail.

We had a good experience overall at the RC Bachelor Gulch. The service was good. Our room was luxurious and comfortable. The prices are to be expected for a RC in the Beaver Creek area during high season. A huge plus was access to the spa amenities (heated outdoor pool, sauna, hot tub and cold plunge) and convenience to the slopes. The only thing travelers may wish to be mindful of is Bachelor Gulch is separated from the town of Avon and Beaver Creek Village. The hotel, however, has a shuttle; there's public transport and you can ski to the Village easily. We hope to be back.

Yelp
This is probably one of the best Ritz branches in the US. It is a resort nested far away in the mountains. 80 degrees water at three swimming pool all year. 5 stars for quiet clean and spacious rooms and for the staff here. Nespresso coffee machines here are great. I visit this Ritz almost every year in the fall. From an ex-Mainer, fall in Colorado mountains is marvelous. Waking up here smelling the fire places ejecting nice fragrance from burning Colorado wood and the smell of pine trees is something priceless. Coming back.

Yelp
Where do I begin! I NEVER LEAVE BAD REVIEWS! Check my profile!! But this needs to be known. So, let me tell you- I'll begin about 90 days prior (maybe more) when some girlfriends and I reached out to this property because it was the main and one and only thing that the bride to be wanted to do in Vail for her Bachelorette party. She wanted to go to this beautiful property and enjoy a day in the mountain with music food and cocktails. After numerous emails with what we thought was a decent manager, since he did reply to the emails with the information we needed after having to remind him a few times. He finally got around to sending us the menus for alcohol and food the night before our reservation. The day of the reservation we show up promptly at 2 PM and due to mediocre snowfall the couches that we reserved for $800 were closed. None of the employees had any information on our reservation and we were told that the outside patio was closing. Nobody called us. Nobody emailed us. Nobody gave us any courtesy to let us know. We were there for a Bachelorette Party awaiting this day for many months.. the general manager ARUN LINGAN, Food & Beverage Operation Manager The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch, was absolutely nowhere to be found nor would he come out of his office when we asked for him. I even emailed him and no response. His other staff had no clue what our reservation entailed or who we were. Luckily the bar manager, Nathan, was nice enough to attend to us and make room for us at his bar. We did not want to make the bride feel bad or let her believe once that this wasn't under control, so we quickly conformed from our PRIVATE section that we reserved that could have easily had umbrellas and been kept dry before we got there to the bar!!! - Some employees tried to shove 2 umbrellas over us. Our reservation inclusion was not quite relayed to any of the staff so we were told we had different minimums at different times of our day. The food menu only offered 1/4 (or less) of the items on the menu so we were ordering food that we didn't even want just to meet the minimum that we thought we were required. Halfway into our stay, which was only 2 PM to 5 PM. We were ordering liquor that we didn't want and food that we didn't want to meet the minimum that exceeded what it should have actually been. Although we proceeded to enjoy ourselves because what Bachelorette Party wouldn't? Under any circumstances, we were going to have fun for the bride to be , however, the staff, the manager and this property could have done their very best to make sure what we had in our contract was met. We feel overcharged underappreciated and under acknowledged, especially by the beverage manager, who did not even come out to shake our hand, say sorry or acknowledge us one bit. UNPROFESSIONAL AND SO DISAPPOINTING. The DJ was the only one that knew what he was doing. Oh and the chef that made the cake!!! Thanks for the cake he was the only one that knew we were there! Even the bartender gave us the wrong prices for our bottles. No one else at that bar had to pay a minimum to sit there. It was absolutely ridiculous. Our private section did not exist, but our LARGE Fee sure did. WE WILL NOT BE BACK. ARUN DO BETTER! Ritz Carlton is a prestigious property and ALL OF YOUR GUESTS deserve to be treated with RESPECT. Especially those who have a THREE MONTH plus reservation. AND - at least we looked cute - come on who wouldn't want these ladies to have a good time ???

Yelp
**WE WERE ROBBED WHILE STAYING AT THE RITZ CARLTON BACHELOR GULCH** My wife and I checked in the The Ritz Carlton around 4PM on 9/15, two days after our wedding, to celebrate our honeymoon. We went to our room, dropped off our luggage, called our parents, and then headed down to the bar to grab a quick bite to eat around 4:30. When we returned an hour later, I noticed that the blinds which we left opened were closed, and a large sum of cash was missing from the desk. I decided to leave the cash on the desk rather than put it in my pocket because I did not want it to fall out. I also did not expect anyone to be in our room, especially in the short amount of time that we were gone. O ya and we were staying at THE RITZ CARLTON. I expected a safer environment. I reported the incident to loss prevention and the front desk. When we went to check out on 9/17, I spoke to Julio Tapia, the front desk manager, explaining the scenario. I told him that we wanted our cash back and also that we wanted to get our entire stay comped because the theft was all we could think about the entire time and it ruined our trip. We also had to leave the "Do Not Disturb" sign on for the remainder of our stay to avoid further criminal activity, so our room was never cleaned. He asked me if instead of comped rooms, would I be willing to accept Marriott Bonvoy points. Against my better judgement, I said yes, as long as it was the equivalent of a two night stay so we could come back and properly celebrate our honeymoon. Later that day, I got a call from him explaining that they could not offer the points, our stolen cash back, or any portion of our stay comped. I explained that we were not willing to accept this and we wanted to escalate the situation. Julio explained that he would talk with leadership to see what they could do and that he would call me back. He never did. I repeatedly called him back and left messages a few days later and was told he was "on a break" or "in a meeting." The final time I called I was told he had left for the day. I got a call from the security department that same day explaining that they conducted an investigation and determined through a lock interrogation that a maid was in our room for 12 minutes. They claim she had a right to be there because they do turndown service at 5pm. However, we had checked in less than an hour before, the room was spotless, and there was no need for anyone to be in our room. They interviewed the maid who claimed she did not notice any valuables and did not take our cash. Since we had no proof of stolen property (there are also no cameras in the hallways which feels like a huge security concern), the security team informed me that they would not be refunding any money or conducting any further investigation. I then sent an email to the General Manager, Dan Dickhart. He called me the next day and tried to charm me on the phone before telling me that there was nothing they could do about my stolen property or any compensation towards our stay because this would be an admission of guilt and he could not make an accusation against an employee without proof. That part I understood, which I explained to him. I asked him for a little show of good will, some very basic customer service, or at the very least to show some trust in his customers and to help us get our cash back. He kept saying his favorite phrase, "my hands are tied." After I pleaded with him for another few minutes, he said he would look further in to our claims, conduct another investigation, and call me back. I never heard from him. I sent another email to which he responded with a phone call (I get the sense he doesn't want anything he says in writing). He denies that he said he would ever call me back - a blatant lie. I have since reached out to Marriott who told me that a rep from the Ritz would be in touch with me within 5 business days. Have not heard anything. AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS.

Yelp
An enjoyable setting. While I've never stayed here, friends have and I've attended the campfire many times over. It's a joy to get away come have a drink and sit outside. Conversely, it's fun for après ski. The slopes are generally quieter than Beaver Creek but busier than Arrowhead, but you can village-to-village to either. Homes in the region, believe it or not, are by restriction, often only gas burning. The Ritz fire pit burns real wood and is an enjoyable setting - fairytale-ish when the flames meet falling snow. During the holidays, you can find roasted chestnuts. The restaurants are good and the gentlemen that make the porte cochere their domain are always agreeable in keeping the vehicle close for an easy departure once things wind down.

Yelp
It's good. It's just very, very expensive! We stayed 1 night on our last night in this trip, ~98k points booked with 85k free night certificate + top-off. We have Titanium status. Much better than the Park Hyatt in Beaver Creek. We got upgraded to a residential suite which was going for $2k/night. Shower pressure was good, and the suite had a full kitchen + 2 fireplaces. So much space! Their restaurant WYLD had better much better food, service, and ambiance for similar prices vs 8100 at the Park Hyatt, not surprised WYLD is Michelin guide. Breakfast was not included unfortunately since it's not a benefit at most RCs, but we had breakfast at WYLD and it was pretty good. Just... expensive all-around. Food/drinks in the Great Room were also nice, and the ambiance is so cozy and warm. There's a semi-exclusive ski lift in the back, since parking at the hotel was $500 if not staying there. Though, it seemed it was still accessible via lift or a shuttle from elsewhere, but the crowd felt much smaller than at Beaver Creek. We purchased a Ritz Carlton duck (it holds 2 skis) at the spa, and they also had a Ritz Carlton dog plushie. Love it! I was nervous about the cancellation policy of 60 days and a no-show charge of $1600 (the cash rate of our booking), even though it's on points. But things worked out. But heads up that this is a thing to be concerned about. A great experience overall but perhaps not optimal in value. But if you have the points or want to splurge a bit, stay here!

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for our ten year anniversary. We absolutely loved our experience. We generally stay at air bnb's when we travel, but I wanted to be catered to this trip. I didn't want to grocery shop or cook. The Ritz was above and beyond! You can tell they take customer service very seriously. Highly recommend Wyld restaurant for breakfast. Their chilequiles were out of this world! We also tried caviar for the first time at the bar. -Important things to know that were a surprise to us: -this hotel is a 20 minute drive to Vail. Vail is much more populated and touristy, but this location is nice and quiet! -They had a wedding the weekend we stayed. They set up the dance floor and tent right behind the pool, and sound check started around 4pm. It was very loud. It didn't bother us, but I can imagine it would bother some people. Ask for a room not facing the pool if music might annoy you. Also, the music they play most of the day by the pool was clearly audible in our hotel room. -the elevation is pretty brutal. We were planning on being much more active than we were able to be. We stayed 4 nights, and that wasn't long enough to acclimate well enough for a decent hike. To be REAL real... my sister works for Marriott, so we were able to stay here with a friends & family rate. Otherwise, this fine establishment would be out of our price range. I felt like a bit of an imposter, with zero desire to talk to the other guests with whom I couldn't possibly relate to, and I was more interested in getting to know the staff, and letting them know they're valued. I wanted to say "no, it's okay, you don't have to do all that! I'm like you!" Ya'll it's just NUTS how differently people with money are treated. Or, how different my husband and I were treated for the 4 days people thought we had lots of money

Yelp
First of all, let me say that this is one of the most beautiful resorts I have been to in Colorado. I was very impressed at the gorgeous fireplace crystal chandelier upon entrance. Valet is free if you are going to dine there. If you are going to park for skiing. It is $500 per day. You should definitely know that before you go. They have several restaurants, a coffee shop, a members lodge, and an owners members lodge. The pool is fantastic, and the skin looks even better. The outdoor menus are a little limited. Also, while we were outside dining, we couldn't enjoy it because they were smoking meat. When I say smoking, I mean literally billowing into the courtyard. A lot of guests got up and left. It was very unpleasant. Also, the DJ was great but the music was so loud I felt like I was in a circus. Not what I would expect at the Ritz, to be honest. I would definitely go back, mainly because the location is one of the best in Colorado. The four stars is because of the smoke and limited menu options.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for my birthday weekend and it was truly a magical experience. The entire resort, including our room, was incredibly clean and comfortable with gorgeous views. Everyone went out of their way to make the weekend special not only for us, but for our dog, Peanut, as well! They delivered a really nice surprise to our room on my birthday including delicious macarons and champagne. We enjoyed a couples massage and copper tub soak with CBD at the spa, which couldn't have been any better. We also dined at WYLD for breakfast and dinner on separate days and the food and service were top-notch. We are looking forward to coming back during winter!

Adrian A.

Yelp
A beautiful hotel at the top of the mountain! Excellent service and beautiful scenery. You can't go wrong staying here!

Huyen C.

Yelp
I mean expensive, but truly worth it. I booked a massage at their spa and when you do, you have access to their spa all day (Which is a perk when your husband snowboards all day). If you're not staying there, they will comp your parking which was nice, since my husband was able to walk out back and hop on a gondola to snowboard. The views are stunning. They have outdoor seating and food. Food is extremely expensive, but they don't allow you to bring your own food which kinda stinks. The massage is pricey, but honestly worth it. I haven't had a massage like that before, feeling renewed afterwards and being able to relax in the grotto, whirlpool, plunge pool, sauna and steam room. They have refreshments, (nuts, snacks, tea, water) if you want to just relax and you can also shower and blow dry your hair. Wonderful facility and kind workers too. At the end, they have hot chocolate and cookies if you want them!

Brittany P.

Yelp
Wow, I never thought I would leave a review like this. You always expect 5 service at the Ritz. Today just wasn't their day I guess? Our drinks took 30 minutes to arrive after 15 minutes at our table before we ordered. Our food ticket was messed up and it's made my stomach upset. But the atmosphere and stranger conversations carried the wait for our group. The valet was on point! Unfortunately, sometimes your experience doesn't match the anticipation and expectations.

Gary W.

Yelp
Great property, stayed 4 nights with the highlight being the Spa where you can visit and enjoy the sauna, steam, cold plunge and the coed Grotto. We had a couples massage one day and it was wonderful, great massage and then had glass of champagne and enjoyed the Grotto. Room was comfy and the bed had a soft pad and a duvet that was very comfortable. Was quiet and cleaning staff did a top notch job cleaning or preparing the room and the best times for us. Great deep tub although the shower seemed a bit on the small side. Definitely can't fit two people in either the shower or tub for our room. The valet, spa, consigner and bar staff are top notch and definitely trained to provide a great experience for guests. Most of the restaurant staff, not all were inexperienced although it could be that it was mid-summer and they were training. We're use to high prices, but items in WYLD didn't live up to what I would have expected and it might be best to check out other local options next time. We really enjoyed our stay at the Ritz-Carlton and thinking about coming back in the winter.

Abby G.

Yelp
What an amazing weekend at this hotel! Beautiful property with amazing amenities! The outdoor pool is beautiful and nestled with trees and mountains around. The gym and spa are great for a full day! The sushi restaurant is delicious and the live music during happy hour with some truffle fries is the way to go! Staff are all really helpful and each room has wonderful Mountain Views! Highly recommend!

Charles M.

Yelp
Ritz-Carlton has done it again with maybe one of my favorite properties in its chain that I've been to. Like many other RC locations, this one is tucked up into the mountains off of the main highway. Lodge vibes at a thousand with the log-style architecture just begging you to get cozy and enjoy a cocktail. Speaking of cocktails, make sure relax at the bar/lounge where you can get a view straight out the bay windows up to the mountain. A ski-in/ski-out resort makes this the perfect getaway for a winter activity weekend. Service was great and I would definitely return.

Babs L.

Yelp
I love me a Ritz, and this is no difference. I tried to convince the hubby years ago when we retired to just buy a hotel room in the Ritz and we could call it a day, then when he said no I said 'maybe I should just go!' and this has turned into our yearly Ritz adventures around the world ((perks of being members)). I spend all day on the mountain during season, lady has to keep her shape. But I don't just hang out in the room when I'm not. The spa is phenomenal, 'Grotto Circuit' was truly body changing. The facility itself is worth just checking out and booking a service, trust me - TREAT YOURSELF! Hubby and I take a drink and meet friends in the Great Room and tend to spend hours there, truly cozy and I die for the architecture (log style gone five star spectacular). When you in this altitude only one of their martinis sends you to the moon. Only complaint is everything shuts down at 10pm, and even this old gal needs a little more time to enjoy her amenities. Oh we'll be back. But first your St. Thomas residences for a season.

Taylor B.

Yelp
I've been stewing on what to say and put into this review. I've never felt so vulnerable and disgusted as I have since leaving this establishment. I checked in on Friday (9/6) and checked out (9/8). I was attending a veterinary conference that was hosted at this hotel. When I got home later Sunday, I was putting my things away and unpacking when I realized the extra spending cash I brought with me had been taken out of my wallet that was in my purse in what was supposed to be a safe and secure hotel room. I didn't think to double check ALL of my belongings before leaving because I was staying at a Ritz-Carlton, and to me I felt like I was in a safe environment. I called Sunday evening and spoke to the Lost Prevention there and I was told there wasn't anything they could do for me because I had already left and checked out, that I needed to file a police report. I was also told "If you do find the money please make sure to call us and let us know." I later then today called the Eagle Police Department to file a police report. The officer I spoke to didn't seem to think something like this could ever happen because "it's a Ritz-Carlton, and it's hard to get a job there and no one would risk there job that way." I was also told because there was "no suspects they would not be investigating the situation." I understand that I am most likely out this money. But my personal property was gone through and something that was mine was taken from me in a place that should be high quality. I am highly disappointed in how I was treated by both this hotel and the police department. I will definitely not recommend anyone I know to stay here. It makes me sad to think people who take advantage of others are the ones who get stuck up for.

Faith H.

Yelp
Most of the staff (especially the ski locker room, restaurant, and spa employees) are amazing. However, for how much this place costs, its not worth it. I asked cleaning service to come and replace the towels, and it took three times for them to come. When they did, they dropped off three towels that had coffee stains and were questionably clean, and never took the old ones. Some of the employees had stand-off ish demeanors, and were not very inviting. Others were amazing, but a few of them seemed miserable and therefore made the trip less enjoyable. For a "luxury" hotel, you need to spell everything out for them. Don't expect luxury service

Kelsey R.

Yelp
The Ritz has a nice outdoor area, especially for ski season, which is the last time I was here. It can be hard to find seating arrangements since it gets so busy, though. We were surprised to be greeted with complimentary aperol spritz upon entering! Bellhop and front desk were nice. Valet price is high. Food is decent, but not necessarily as great as you'd expect with the price tag, and it takes FOREVER. I've never stayed at another Ritz property so I can't say how it compares.

LeAnn A.

Yelp
We have stayed in many Ritz Carlton properties over the years but this one was the first to disappoint. Small dark rooms. Service was very limited. Necessity shops closed very early with no options except very expensive room service. We could have picked any Ritz anywhere as a priority member. Wish we had chosen differently. Three days left and never thought I would say this but I'm ready to go.

David Schmitt ..

Yelp
$64 for a Burger and fries...wow! Sign me up! $50 Nachos....what a great deal...NOT. I literally never do this (literally never). But this place is ridiculous. The Ritz can put whatever price point they want on any menu item because they know people have no other choice. Or so they think. Todays the day I stand up to this place and say NO MORE! I stood up on my table, began screaming and tried to start a revolt, but to no avail. I was tackled by 3 security guards and maced in my mouth. But I will not be silenced. The late great Martin Luther King once said, "Survive and advance". Or at least I think it was him. I'm no stranger to adversity and will find a way to infiltrate and take down the "big bad" Ritz Carlton. (By the way, if you know Mohammad Fayeds number please comment below).

Trish B.

Yelp
I'm writing this review in hopes someone at the hotel will see this and actually call me back. It's Ms. Botoff, if anyone is paying attention. Service has been horrible - half the time I call the phone rings out and no one answers - how is this possible when all other Marriott properties have automated systems? I have a reservation starting tomorrow on the 17th. I've been trying to call since last week to organize a shift as we had a family death and I have to go to a funeral. I'm not asking for a full refund (as the whole thing has already been charged), just some assistance with a small shift. No one will help, I keep being told it has to be the accounting department, and that someone will call me. Days of trying by both myself and my assistant and . . . crickets. Super unimpressed, would have appreciated a small bit of assistance during this sad and very stressful time. Making me re-think my loyalty to Marriott.

Rocco C.

Yelp
Great time and great service. I highly recommend adventuring the slopes and enjoying all of the 5 star amenities they have to offer.

J S.

Yelp
They have a lot of nerve charging $30 for a nasty undercooked dense "burger" I don't know what meat they are using but it was hard to chew and I couldn't bring myself to swallow it 0 out of ten NEVER AGAIN. DO BETTER RITZ CARLTON. YOUR FOOD IS TRASH.

Nick A.

Yelp
Great place but not easy to get to. Oh, yah, it's not far off I-70 but the last few miles are a series of roundabouts and gates where you need to stop to get permission to proceed. On top of that, once you jump through all of those hoops they have a well-hidden sign that says, Ritz Carlton. Seems so exclusive they want to even exclude their guest from finding it. Your GPS will get you close, but not directly to the property. Mine (Apple Maps) said, "You have arrived," when I was going up a steep hill with virtually nothing around. I was beginning to wonder if the Ritz even existed. I went back down the hill and finally saw the small, well camouflaged Ritz Carlton Sign on the opposite side of the road and about ten yards past the actual entrance. I mean, really? It does not make for a good first impression. Why would you look for a sign on the opposite side of the road...especially on a mountain road? I mean, duh!! There's plenty of room for a sign right where the actual entrance is. Such an easy fix. OK, now I'm done griping. Once you finally get there, the staff is awesome. All of them. You'll soon be relieved of your frustration by the excellent staff and service. The rooms are pretty simple, but certainly OK. Mine had a fireplace. Nice! The bed was not comfortable at all. Way too hard and very little padding. Good thing there were lots of pillows to soften the blow. The bed is pretty much why you need a hotel room so why not make it a really good one? Even hotels at a much lower price point have more comfortable beds. I was there for a conference. A HUGE thumbs up to the conference center staff and catering. The food was off the charts awesome and so was the service from their fantastic staff. There were some people in our group that were having trouble adjusting to the 8,500 ft. altitude. They actually have oxygen in the spa if you need it. Do keep the altitude in mind though. It was really a challenge for some of the people in our group. Personally, I didn't notice it at all. If you're a skier, the ski lift is literally right in back of the hotel. Pretty cool. 3 stars. One star off for it being so difficult to find, and one star off for the uncomfortable bed. Other than that, no complaints. Again, the staff is exceptional. My compliments to whoever trains them in customer service. They exemplify excellence. ...and to whoever is in charge of the entrance sign, you might do better in some other line of work...something that doesn't involve giving directions of any kind.

Yelp
Hotel itself is beautiful. Amazing views in both directions. Room service is impressively unreliable. 5 out of 5 people who ordered spoke of issues with their orders. Delivered to incorrect rooms. Incorrect items. Extreme delays.. At night it especially leaves much to be desired. 5 star hotel and they only offer chicken fingers, salad and hummus after 10pm. They claim to have flatbreads on menu but chef apparently decided that isn't an option anymore. When we did order, they brought to the wrong room. The whole place closes down after 10, no drinks after that. Sakaba Sushi place also charges $30 for one piece of sashimi! Nobu doesn't even do that. A bit ridiculous... service is good though. Cleaning service is great. Always replaced waters and have us chocolates. Toilet Paper is surprisingly thin for such an establishment. Wyld - breakfast underwhelming. Eggs seemed microwaved. Says "fresh" apple juice.. it is not. Server was nice though! Poolside food- ordered the double patty burger and a bison burger medium.. double patty was beyond well done and dry .. not one bit of pink. The bison burger was very raw.. I realize I'm complaining a lot but for the money being charged for all this, I expect so much better.

Yelp
The service is amazing. I recommend going to all the restaurants is a bit pricey. And I also recommend the buffalo bar. Go during the ski season because they have Opra

Yelp
This is a lovely property and the staff were wonderful. It is the perfect location for the skier/boarders in the family and also offer daily activities for those that prefer to stay off the slopes. When we were here they had recently opened up room service, which was impeccable, however, a couple of our meals were a bit less than expected and was not 24/7. This was problematic since very few of the dining options in the immediate area were available unless you had made reservations well in advance! Over all it is a lovely facility and a great location, the rooms can run a bit small and the entry felt congested. There seemed to be little energy directed to moving people along so as not to crowd the entry area which admittedly can be difficult given some guest are clueless saps who forget or don't realized the entire world does not revolve around their pretentious ass/es. Overall it is a solid 4 stars and perhaps 5 at times but alas during our visit it was a solid 4.

Yelp
Stayed for a few days and it's exactly what was needed... attentive service, great spot, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom. OK, the local "mountain" is more of a hill and service was a bit slow given what seems to be industry-wide staffing shortage, but overall five stars.

Yelp
One of the most fantastic Ritz Carlton properties. GM Dan Dickhart does a fantastic job and his team is amazing. Wonderful attention to detail, excellent service. Great skiing, delicious dining, bar/lounge is a blast. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Beautiful property with many amazing amenities. First class spa and relaxing gratto. Outdoor heated lap pool and 3 lovely Jacuzzis. They also offer several outstanding restaurants including their signature restaurant Wild. All of the staff here are outgoing, friendly, and extremely helpful. However, the room experience was poor. The bed was very uncomfortable, as were the pillows. I requested firmer pillows and they delivered more of the same. There was also a water pipe in the wall that made a racket all night long making it nearly impossible to sleep for more than an hour at a time. I mentioned this to the staff and they said they would have someone look into it but that was as far as it went. I also reached out to management after our stay and got a similar brush off. Unless you get some screaming deal I think you could find a comparable experience with much more comfort somewhere else in the valley.

Yelp
LET ME TELL YOU *Daniel (Valet) was amazing, I promise by the end of it all, it felt as though we knew him for years and he was tremendously helpful. GIVE HIM A RAISE *Courtney (WYLD) was very skilled and poised and did great as our waitress. GIVE HER A RAISE *Tyler taught us how to do the smores the right way! Tyler was so cool and knowledgeable. The group we were with all really enjoyed his presence. GIVE HIM A RAISE *Tripp (concierge) was exceptionally polite and SO helpful. Despite the circumstance he called around repeatedly for us to make sure any and all plans would run smoothly. GIVE HIM A RAISE *I don't have the names, but we spoke at length with four employees at the Sakaba. They were so nice and helpful with the menu, but also we connected talking about tons of other things, like anime lol. This truly elevated our night and this type of service can not be overstated! It was my birthday and the service and hospitality was unmatched. The spa area is great, my wife enjoyed her message and thank you so much for the Champaign! The front desk always kept very positive energy with smiles and helpful service. We were unable to ski there since the snow had not fallen yet, but wow the setup is amazing! The food was amazing also. For some it will be pricey, but just know that you do get exceptional quality. WYLD. Like I said, Courtney was great, and we tried the mac and cheese along with the chicken meal. Wow that chicken meal was definitely creative. The chicken was excellent and the accompanying veggies and potato's complimented it impeccably. The chef here is really talented...oh and that cheese cake birthday desert!!!!! bomb.com Sakaba. The crew here felt like a family. We spent so much time talking about the menu with our server and a couple of others. They broke everything down and informed us about the few items we weren't familiar with. They were patient and super friendly. One of the gentlemen even allowed us to try a drink they were considering for the menu. Although the food was excellent, my memories are warmed by the interaction pleasant times and interactions with the staff there. They made the experience. other tidbits. The room was nice and we had no problems with our stay. As you can see, the staff and service is what did it for us. I've stayed at other Ritz locations, but this one far exceeded those in terms of hospitality and care. And when I look back, the hospitality and care matter most. The workers enabled this to be the win it was.

Yelp
Wow wow wow. Thank you The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch for the top notch hospitality for our ski trip. From the moment we stepped inside, we felt the detailed care that the staff puts in for all guests. Everyone was very kind and went out of their way to accommodate our needs. We felt seen, which is not very common in most places, and everyone was eager to help us no matter how big or small the ask was. I highly recommend staying here for whatever occasion it may be. The outdoor seating area and restaurants inside were simply delicious. Love the live music both during the day and at night time. Suuuch a vibe! There are 3 outdoor hot tubs with impeccable views (see my pics!) and don't forget to visit the spa!! I hope to return during the white water rafting season and relive this dream vacation.

Yelp
Great happy hour. First round of drinks were exquisite. Second round were clearly made by another much less experienced bartender (waiter maybe?) Taste between the same drink ordered at different times was stark. First drink was worth the $24+ dollars. Second drink wasn't worth half that amount.

Bill J.

Yelp
The $26 cocktail didn't bother me. The valets were complete assholes. I've never had an issue with a valet before. Dropped $400 on lunch to be told it's $500 to use the main entrance to be picked up by my driver. I'll never go to this shit hole again

Yelp
The Men's Spa was dynamic. The experience and cleanliness of the facility was remarkable. The jacuzzi, steam room, cold plunge "Grotto Circuit" was rejuvenating & reinvigorating. Looking forward to visiting again for just for it in the future.

Yelp
It's a beautiful property. Open checking into our two bedroom suite, we found soiled food in the fold out sofa bed. There seemed to always be a communication difficulties when requesting service with housekeeping. It felt like the hotel price gauges you for every little thing. 18.00 for one scoop of ice cream, 65.00 for a stuffed animal they call "Bachelor". I could go on and on. For what they are charging their service is not equal. We will not return to this property.

Yelp
I expected more. The remodeled rooms were nice however shower was so small I could barely keep my elbows from hitting the walls when washing my hair. Evening showers were warm at best. We stayed on club level floor 8. The club amenities were very nice and the club staff was excellent. Valet staff was great especially given the challenges of the motor court. Pool service was horrible, slow to non existent wait staff. Lots of ppl attending to towels but no one serving drinks or food. Or maybe one, but would disappear for 40 minutes then bring one drink to one person then be gone for another 30. Extremely inefficient. Our dinner at Wyld was over priced and completely uninteresting. Could have been any basic hotel restaurant in a Hampton Inn. I expected so much more from a Ritz. Highlight was The Sakaba Sushi restaurant! It was amazing. From the food to the staff and the ambiance. That's the experience I expected at a Ritz property. We will not stay there again, it just doesn't act like a Ritz property sadly. Our experience fell short.

Yelp
I'm not sure where to even start with this wonderful place! I'm not sure what I enjoyed more, the beautiful setting or the wonderful staff. We were warmly welcomed by Johnny when we pulled up, he greeted us with a sweet smile and a helpful heart, which continued throughout our stay. Johnny was a wonderful resource, he gave us so many recommendations, none of which disappointed! I really enjoyed chatting with him and how eager he was to help us enjoy our time...by the time we left, Johnny felt like a good friend. He really went the extra mile, even brought us a glass of champagne while we were checking in! Next, we were met by Ana's lovely smile at the front desk, she was so accommodating! I thought I had booked a Mountain View room with a balcony, however I didn't, but Ana quickly and kindly made a change for us. She was so professional and accommodating, she also gave us drink coupons, and spa discount coupons for being a Loyal Marriott member. After we got settled in our beautiful room, we headed down to Wyld for a late lunch. Our Server Ashlee was sweet, and had a cute Georgian accent. She bought us a bottle of Prosecco to help my best friend and I celebrate our first Girl's Weekend trip...I mean who does that?? We were shocked, impressed, and truly humbled by her kindness. Ashlee's kindness continued throughout our stay each time we dined at Wyld.

Yelp
What happened? I'm extraordinarily disappointed by the change in scenery by the fire pit. The Ritz in Bachelors Gulch used to be a "must go location" for aprés ski. Sitting by the fire pit, roasting marshmallows, drinking a cold beer, and listen to Robert play music was the best way to wind down after a long day on the slopes. I've brought countless family members and friends from across the country for this special experience. Fortunately Robert is still here Mon-Thurs. I'm very disappointed that I can't come to see him play on a ski weekend. Now the fire pit had been totally changed to be a wanna be Miami Beach. The house music is so uncharacteristic of Colorado and the Log Cabin aesthetic that the ritz is built around. We have always put up with the sky high ritz prices for the one of a kind experience at the fire pit. Now, we're not rushing back to sit through this try hard experience on the weekends.

Yelp
Nestled atop the mountain of Beaver Creek sits the lovely Ritz Carlton, Bachelor Gulch! So you may ask yourself, what makes this Ritz so special? For starters, other than offering a plethora of year-round activities and Colorado beauty...winter is where it's at! This place has ski-in/ski-out access on Beaver Creek Mountain! Took a cool bluebird pic of Chairlift 16, Bachelor Gulch Express and I gotta say the snowboarding was awesome! Bottom line...it's the Ritz so you can expect all the awesome amenities and you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
How do I extol the virtues of one of the best ski-in luxury resorts in the United States? How do I explain near-perfection? Driving up the Ritz Carlton is like entering a winter wonderland. The hotel was gorgeously decorated, the entrance covered in yellow light Christmas lights. After pulling up, I handed my key over to the valet to take care of our bags and the car. Inside, check-in was quick and efficient. I asked about an upgrade due to my Platinum status with Ritz, but they only had a residential suite available (which is not as well furnished as the hotel rooms). Instead, I chose a club level room, which had a balcony and fireplace. The room was nicely furnished, with clean amenities and a large bathroom with soaking tub and separate shower. The fireplace was activated on a timer and definitely added to the romantic ambiance of the room. The club lounge was a highlight of the stay, with varied and flavorful bites out for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with two additional "meals" in between. The value of a club lounge at a Ritz property is always higher than most other club lounges due to the open bar, and the 5 meals per day...you could essentially have all your meals here (although we didn't). The inside of the hotel had a rustic lodge feel, and we enjoyed some bison chili and wings the first night we came in...these were sufficiently hearty, and a great way to start the holiday. We aren't great skiers, but this is a ski-in, ski-out hotel, which means there is a ski-lift right in the backyard. We did use this lift when we went up to do some snow shoeing and were impressed at the quality of the experience. Booking our tickets, getting our rental shoes and using the lift was super easy. Another highlight was the firepit in the backyard. Yes, it was super cold outside, but the fleece blankets on each rocking chair made us feel cozy and peaceful. S'mores are served every evening, and it's a large tray of items...a great idea, and a lovely experience, especially with a snow-covered mountain as the backdrop. Finally, check out the grotto and the outside hot tubs. The grotto was clean and co-ed, with warm, bubbly water. The only thing is, it may need more ventilation since the chlorine smell was a bit strong. The outside hot tub was the best part of the trip, hands-down. The water was hot, but the air was well below freezing, resulting in our hair looking quite ridiculous after it quick froze. If you ever get the chance to visit Beaver Creek/Bachelor Gulch, you'll see that there are numerous hotels in the area (including the Park Hyatt). That being said, this should be your grail location, the place that you just have to stay at.

Yelp
I first want to say that my experience at the Ritz last year was rough during the pandemic, but, trust me when I say this, I absolutely am impressed by the level of service from the staff at the location. The valet, the front desk, the restaurant, the bartenders, and even the housekeeping are well trained, friendly, and always go above and beyond in any situation despite how busy they are. While the location is showing it's age in terms of decor, the level of service is to die for. The location is extremely private, which makes the hotel feel like a private club. The atmosphere is lively and the food is delicious. Also, big big big shout out to Daniel for taking care of the Mike Ward group every night. He really impressed me and made my stay here unforgettable.

Yelp
Beautiful. The staff is on point with an exceptionally clean room. Stayed during September not much going on. I would suggest lining up you days with activities before arriving.

Yelp
If you want a luxurious hotel experience then DON'T come here. I've been to two other Ritz's in my life and they were amazing but this place is not. The front desk staff is actually sweet and amazing but if you want some quiet nap or reading time in your hotel room, dream on. Maid and engineer staff are constantly knocking on your door. We got a late checkout until 2pm and 3 different maid staff personnel knocked on our door asking us when we were leaving! The maids also yell to each other while cleaning in the next room and it's just so loud and disturbing that I felt like I was in a cheap motel from the movies. Just trashy and loud. Not worth the price. I suggest new management or a refresher course on what a Ritz-Carlton stands for. We will not be returning here.

Yelp
As I've been an SPG loyalist before the Marriott merger, I never stayed at a Ritz before. Perhaps it was the consideration that Ritz is a step down from St Regis, perhaps the desire to reap more Platinum benefits, Ritz just never had a particular appeal to me. On this venture to Colorado, decided to break the tradition, cement the Marriott SPG merger and try this place out. Part I: Arrival (4.5/5) The first odd thing about this resort is finding it. It's either the signs don't exist on the main road or they are difficult to find, but arriving for the first time was confusing. The valet parking at $30 a night is pretty reasonable and was very efficient. There was never a line to check in through all the visits to the front desk, so they seemed to have it well under control. The lobby design is awesome, leather furniture, wood all around, fireplace and animal heads. Part II: Marriott Platinum Premier Elite Status Recognition (3.5/5) We were given an upgrade to the residential suite during the stay, which was a good sized suite. However, breakfast is not included even for Platinum Premier elites at Ritz Carlton hotels, which is a huge downside and the reason I simply cannot give a higher rating on status recognition. It's almost a dealbreaker for future selections of Ritz vs St Regis and Park Hyatt. The only other benefit was a voucher for two drinks at the bar, which was a nice thing of the property to do. Judging by frustrations of other loyal guests of Marriott, they are clearly trying to improve at this property and make it more attractive. A few suggestions would be: include breakfast (as SPG, Hyatt and Hilton do), remove parking fees for Platinum (as Hyatt does), provide discounts on hotel dining for Platinum (as most SPG and Hyatt properties do). It might sound over the top, but I do feel that treatment of most loyal members should be over the top, especially at 5 star hotels. Part III: The Service (4.5/5) The lack of personal butler at Ritz hotels makes it a little difficult to pin point when a problem happens. For example, requested housekeeping on the app, nobody showed up for 3 hours. Perhaps it's still the system glitches, so I started calling. Restaurants and bars had phenomenal service during the stay. There is even a complimentary shuttle included in the resort fee, which is a nice add. Part IV: The SPA (4/5) The spa facilities are included in the resort fee, thus making this resort fee very much worth it. I am not a fan of resort fees, but this one was actually worth it. One downside is that sauna temperature was barely hot on both visits, which was disappointing. Other guests were complaining as well about it. All other aspects of the spa, from the Grotto, to Lounge and Steam Room were amazing and had wonderful feel of being in a stone cave. One of the best spas I've visited with the exception of the sauna. Part V: The Food (4/5) The best chili i've ever had was here at the property. The bison burger was delicious. Unfortunately, breakfast selections were very disappointing at the price point, did not even bother eating and stepped out. To sum up, this a good property. It has great trails, fresh mountain air, comfy bedding and the traditional experience of a Ritz. The design of the room was not my cup of tea due to its very traditional elements, but this is the Ritz after all and would not be fair to judge based on my taste. There are always improvement areas, but overall the folks here tried very hard and exceeded my expectations for a Ritz hotel. Thank you to the staff and the cooks that made it a memorable stay.

Yelp
We had a lovely time at the ritz. Private mountain for ritz and residence only. I couldn't believe the amount of people that weren't on the mountain. Ideal for any skier. We are always treated like royalty and the guest services team at BG is outstanding. We got a club level room with no club access- ridiculous price. But, we got access to a world class spa that we couldn't get enough of, so we didn't mind. Even if you don't have a treatment you can get access. This is a very family friendly resort. So while at the bar be prepared for children everywhere. There is a lounge down the hall and we loved the vibe but one night it was closed for private event and the other night it reeked of cigar smoke. So we passed. I would recommend always making a reservation if going to WYLD. They seem to be understaffed so wait can talk awhile. We only had breakfast on property. We will be back!

Yelp
I have nothing but incredible things to say about this hotel. First of, we had PERFECT SERVICE! Seriously, every single employee is kind, helpful and so happy to work there. I loved all of them..I want them all to be my friends haha! It was literally painful to leave - I would stay there forever! -The location is incredible. You are super secluded, have your own ski lift, and are surrounded by perfect nature. And if you want to go into town (which is tiny) there's a bus you order through an app (like Uber but free)! -The rooms are beautiful & spacious. The bathroom is a dream. We were upgraded to a suite - and honestly, it was my dream apartment. -The food at the hotel is soo good. Amazing breakfast and the pool food was surprising delicious. --I recommend the grain brown --the corn --and the BLT sandwich PSA for the food: you are charged 24% gratuity plus a ridiculous tax (but if you're staying at the Ritz, I hope you don't expect your stay to be cheap, because it won't). -The spa is open!! Our massage was great and we got to use the steam, sauna and whirlpool every day...man I missed it! -Parking is $60 per night, which is pretty ridiculous, but there is no where else to park and they know they can charge that. I have never had a trip where nothing went wrong, until now. The only complaint we had was about our air conditioning and they went to fix it that second. I honestly cannot say enough how incredible the service was. Yes, the hotel is perfect, the food is great, the rooms are perfect, etc, but the reason out trip was perfect was because of the people. I 1000% recommend this hotel!

Yelp
We stayed at ritz for 5 nights July 2020 Booked resort and prepaid As with most ritz more expensive but usually worth it. We have stayed at ritz in Hawaii , Chicago , Tucson , New York and love them. This sadly doesn't even come close to any of those. Service was awful throughout trip. Automatic 25% gratuity at overpriced bar w poor service. Room was small and 2 of or 5 nites the tv did not work. Salt in the wounds as we left what we thought was prepaid and without telling us they charged us 700$ for 5 nights for parking and hotel fee. On top of us tipping 10-20$ every time we parked. They never told us at checkin or anywhere that they were charging for parking or hotel fee. Again our hotel room was fully prepaid so after an already bad stay to get hit with 70@$ in non disclosed fees was terrible. Advise to satay at other ritz. , but not his one.

Yelp
An exceptional family skiing experience. In what feels like a secluded hideaway, from arrival being greeted by Daniel the always friendly and accommodating valet, to morning coffee and breakfast from Marcelo at the espresso spot, to the timely and always perfectly cooked room service food being delivered by Chito, the staff went above and beyond and was consistently friendly. It goes without saying that the way the ski valet is set up makes starting a family ski day effortless. Every minute detail is considered to create an experience that allows guests to concentrate on skiing rather than managing equipment. Ski rentals are easy at the shop next to the valet as is finding any ski accoutrement to keep everyone comfortable, warm, and well outfitted. Whether breaking for lunch or having dinner, the restaurants have enough of a variety to keep healthy adults and selective kids satisfied. The building is an historic construction that meshes with the idea of a ski lodge rather than an ultramodern Ritz that some expect. Plenty of photos of most of the hotel are available on the Marriott/Ritz website. Our son was interested in the game room and there seemed to be a dearth of info so my photos are limited to that.
