The Ritz Carlton Hotel Guangzhou

We stayed for 7 nights on this trip. We were here on vacation. We were placed on the 30th floor, not much of a view except offices but we did not ask for upgrade or pay for any upgrade.||This is our 2nd stay and 2nd visit to GZ. There are many great hotels in this area and competition can be brutal. ||Excellent customer service by everyone including housekeeping. My first time experiencing the ‘tooth paste’ story of Ritz Carlton. Highly impressive.||We were given a bottle of wine by the manager of rooms and the housekeeper PING left us little notes each day. ||Highly recommended hotel and you feel that there is no such thing as a ‘No’ at the Ritz. We did not have breakfast at the hotel. The only meal we had was at the Chinese restaurant. It was good but still below our expectations compared to others like Lingnan and Chef Fei.||Overall, kudos to everyone at Ritz. We planning our return trip.

The Ritz-Carlton Guangzhou continues to be my only choice whenever I visit Guangzhou, and each stay reaffirms why this property stands out so distinctly.||||From the moment I arrive, there is a consistent sense of care and excellence throughout the hotel. The rooms are always impeccably clean—spotless, well maintained, and thoughtfully prepared. This level of attention creates a sense of comfort and trust, allowing me to feel completely at ease during every stay.||||The concierge team, led by Madix, deserves special recognition. Madix and his team are consistently attentive, professional, and proactive, always ready to assist with genuine warmth. Their ability to anticipate needs and offer seamless support reflects true hospitality at its finest.||||I would also like to commend Lucky from the Marriott Bonvoy in-app messaging team. Lucky’s prompt, clear, and thoughtful communication consistently enhances the overall experience even before face-to-face interactions take place. It is reassuring to know that assistance is always just a message away, handled with efficiency and care.||||Dining at Lai Heen was another highlight of my stay. Vanessa’s attentiveness and deep knowledge of the menu elevated the entire dining experience. Her recommendations were consistently excellent, delivered with confidence and a genuine desire to ensure guests enjoy the very best the restaurant has to offer.||||The Club Lounge remains a place I truly enjoy, thanks to Noah. His professionalism, calm presence, and attentiveness create an atmosphere that is both refined and welcoming, making each visit a pleasure.||||Evenings at Churchill Bar were equally memorable. Vicky and Shauna consistently provided warm, engaging, and polished service. Their attention to detail and sincere hospitality transform a casual drink into a meaningful and enjoyable experience.||||What truly sets The Ritz-Carlton Guangzhou apart is not just the elegance of the property, but the people behind it—the pride, consistency, and sincerity they bring to their roles every day. These thoughtful interactions are what keep me returning, time and time again.||||To the General Manager and leadership team: thank you for cultivating a culture where excellence feels natural, service feels sincere, and guests feel genuinely cared for. This hotel sets a benchmark for true luxury hospitality, and I look forward to returning again very soon.

Absolutely Fabulous Deluxe one bedroom suite with the River & Canton Tower view facing. (Located right in the centre of the CBD District so convenient for both seeing the sights as well as nearby shopping & entertainment centres). ||The size of the suite was exceedingly generous. In the best tradition of the Ritz Carlton’s the world over; the theme & style is very English Regency with of course the adaptation & bending of modernity; even the Astors would feel at home. ||The treatment granted was simply splendid where we were addressed by name by all front line staff members. From the front desk, concierge & dining establishments. ||We were truly warmly welcomed. ||The bed was perfectly cushioned with a Matress topper; so comfortable that one would plunge into deep uninterrupted sleep for 7 hours. Not a regular pattern for me. An experience not taken for granted. ||The views from the suite was spectacular & panoramic especially at night. ||Was entertained at the Churchill Bar with champagne with lingering aromas of exclusive Cuban cigars ; with a singer in the background to elevate the already high mood. ||The buffet breakfast was extensive but I only|nibbled a little; as there were extensive Gastro lunches & dinners planed. ||I had a massage in the spa where I again fell into a deep sleep. Not even knowing that hot stones were applied to my back. Again a luxury for me as I don’t sleep seamlessly. ||We stayed a total of 4 nights; the ambiance & experience will be most memorable. Excellent stay at the RC Guangzhou, very thorough housekeeping (sometimes felt like they came twice a day?) all amenities refilled meticulously, the night cookies were a great touch! Amazing treatment by GM Herman, he took great care of us as Titanium members, very easy to reach via WeChat and kept me updated on potential upgrades during our stay here. Concierge was great at assisting with coordinating my many packages as well! Great location as well, walking distance to K11 which has plenty of shopping and coffee, snacks, milk tea. Would stay again for my next trip to Guangzhou! Big Thank you to Herman & team!

Growing up in Guangzhou, The White Swan hotel has long been the default choice for me when visiting my hometown. This time, I decided to give Ritz Carlton a try, and I do not regret it. Since I booked 2 rooms for my family members, you can even consider this review a double 5-star.||Upon arrival, Niki at the front desk greeted us with warmth, making sure my check-in process and baggage delivery was seamless. After learning that I have been to many different Ritz-Carltons worldwide, she offered to make me a customized room key as souvenir, which I think it's a very sweet touch. My room was spacious, and the housekeeper provided daily fresh fruits and paid extraordinary attention to my requests. Josie and Aris from guest service team were very patient and attentive helping me arrange spa appointments, museum visits, and even bubble bath.||The food at this hotel is definitely a highlight, especially the breakfast, it offers truly impressive and abundant food selections. From 豆浆、油条 to 牛腩煲, you can find almost all the classic Chinese food there. Additionally, this is the only hotel I have stayed in Mainland China that lets you use the actual internet without needing a VPN. I look forward to staying at here again the next time I visit my hometown!||A tip for those who booked via AMEX FHR, credit does not apply to in-room dining and hotel merchandise, so plan that accordingly.

Had a fantastic stay at the Ritz Carlton Guangzhou! The location is top-notch, with a short walk to the beautiful riverfront where you can enjoy a scenic run with breathtaking views of the Canton Tower. The breakfast spread was impressive, with plenty of options to start your day. We also appreciated the helpful concierge team, who happily stored our bags since our flight was in the evening. To pass the time, we indulged in a delightful afternoon tea in the lounge - a perfect way to unwind. Highly recommend this hotel!

Centrally located in Guangzhou CBD area. Excellent service from door man, concierge, front desk, room service to house keeping team. Despite there are (english) language barrier but the team genuinely friendly and professional. Room is spacious, bed was very comfortable. Evening room set up by the housekeeper was excellent!!! Bravo!! Walking wardrobe is quite small so unable to put large size suitcases there. I asked for a room facing the river and the front desk assigned me on. Nice view day and night. Less than 5 mins walk to K11 mall, less than 10 mins walk to international mall, 10 mins walk towards the pearl river and i love that i can easily do morning run around the area The only downside of the hotel was the breakfast buffet. The asian food range surprisingly tasted quite bland and very disappointing despite wide range of international buffet and the price. Probably the management can look into this for future improvements.

The staff is amazing! The hotel itself is conveniently located right next to K11 Mall and the subway. The room, however, felt dated, especially when you take a closer look and wasn’t as soundproof as you would expect in a luxury hotel. When I checked in, the front desk assigned me a room on the 37th floor and presented it as something special. I expected an epic view, as I had seen photos beforehand. Unfortunately, the view was blocked by taller buildings, which was a bit disappointing. Aside from the gym—which is very nice—I didn’t try any of the other facilities. Overall, I had a pleasant stay, but for this price point, I would probably choose the Rosewood next door next time.
