TEMPURA HANAGATAMI

"Boxed sea urchins, foods from both land and sea, and tempura to start. The tempura, fried in blended oil, is light and airy. The secret is in the batter: to reduce gluten, wheat flour is chilled to below freezing before frying. One inventive dish is tempura of sea urchin and nori seaweed. Combinations are delightful, including eel grilled without seasoning then brushed with wasabi, and Orient clams dressed with pepper flowers." - Michelin Inspector

The Ritz-Carlton Osaka (Osaka, Osaka Prefecture) 3 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"One might expect a Japanese Ritz-Carlton to set aside the company style book and make some concessions to the local traditions. But one would be wrong. The only thing distinctly Japanese about the Ritz-Carlton, Osaka is the fact that it occupies the upper floors of a mixed-use high-rise building — aside from that it’s as resolutely Old Europe as any Ritz-Carlton anywhere." - Tablet Hotels

After a 10 day jam packed trip around central Japan we spent our final night in Japan at the ritz. The hotel was convenient, a short walk to a shopping center where we had lunch. We had a corner room with amazing views. It was absolutely massive room that was extremely comfortable so we ended up doing room service for dinner because we didn’t want to leave! Due to the expo we unfortunately couldn’t get late check out but we spent several hours in the cafe and weren’t pressured by the staff to move on while we waited for our taxi to the airport. Would definitely stay here again

Just check out few days ago from this amazing hotel. || + |- Attentive staff, very friendly from front desk, concierge, housekeeping & staffs from spa/pool|- Complimentary touch up room service in the evening 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼. If you put don’t disturb signage, housekeeping will leave a piece of paper below the room to ask call 9 for assistance if needed 👍🏼 they won’t knock your door 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼|- Complete amenities |- Indoor pool , although the size not that big, but it was nice. They also provide kids board that we can borrow. Wish they extend the time for kids to enjoy the pool to more than 7pm! |- Few doors to enter the hotel (not necessarily go throught main gate)|- Supermarket 5 mins walking distance|- There’s bus going to Kansai airport around 5 mins walking distance (the bus company not related with Ritz though).||- |- Location wise is not that near train station. Still need to walk 7-10 mins. You can walk through underpass also but don’t know how, it looks like walk outdoor is faster than use underpass. After a tiring day in Osaka, you just wish to get hotel that located near train station (especially if you don’t use taxi). |- Their disposable tooth brush not that comfortable to use. |- Wish they provide a shower area also inside toilet (not just bath tub). ||Other than that, totally no complaint with Ritz. One of the best hotel I ever stay 👍🏼👍🏼

This hotel offers best level of hospitality. Every staff member, from the doorman to the front desk to the club lounge, offers professional and friendly service. The antique interiors and luxurious atmosphere of this hotel are enough to overwhelm customers. At the club lounge, customers can enjoy a relaxing atmosphere with great food all day long - from breakfast to light snack, afternoon tea, pre-dinner and cocktail houre - . Club lounge is the highlight of this hotel. I could make comfortable and happy memories during my stay at this hotel. I would like to express my special thanks to Mr. Finch, Director of Loyalty and Ms./ Mrs. Yoshida, Club Level Manager.

I made a quick solo trip to Japan - it was my first time to Japan so I wanted to see as much as possible in a short amount of time. I went to Osaka first, with a day trip to Kyoto. The hotel is in a beautiful and perfectly manicured part of Osaka, located in a larger high rise building filled with luxury shops and I'm not sure what else - maybe offices above it. The hotel and staff were great. The breakfast was also great - a large buffet of pastries, "western style food" such as eggs, omelets, hashbrowns and sausage. They also had a variety of yogurts, fruit, vegetables and a salad. Then they had the Japanese breakfast which included a variety of items such as Miso soup (with various choice of toppings), Japanese porridge, Japanese omelet, and other sides such as Natto (fermented soybeans - did not care for this), a variety of pickled vegetables and other things. I had fun trying a little bit of everything. To get to the Ritz from Tokyo, I took a train from Tokyo Station to Shin-Osaka station. If you want to stop there, it's a 15 min taxi ride to the hotel. I recommend this. Otherwise, it is a train change to the Osaka station and a 10 minute walk to the Ritz. I opted for the second option and found changing trains to be a little difficult. The walk was fine - totally safe - but just not worth the trouble with luggage. That's my only word of caution - if you plan to use the train to get around (like a day trip to Kyoto), just know it's a little bit of a walk to the train station. I was upgraded to a larger room, Room 2510. It was a corner King bedroom with a great view. The room was quite large - larger than the average US hotel room, with a large bathroom.

One of the most amazing hotel experiences I’ve ever had ✨ The Ritz-Carlton Osaka truly made me feel like I was living in another era, thanks to their incredible attention to detail and world-class 5-star service. The whole stay made me feel like a princess 👑💖. Thank you to the hotel management for such outstanding care and attention to every little detail. They are my first choice for future bookings around the world.

Google
I am forever spoiled for other hotels after staying here! The service, amenities and atmosphere are absolutely amazing. In the rooms, your every need and desire is already anticipated - from the Nespresso machine, the drawer with champagne glasses, the bath salts, loofahs, toothbrushes, etc in the bathroom to the control panel next to the bed that controls the lights and drapes. Traditional turn down service with chocolates, ice, water bottles and slippers next to the bed nightly. The hotel itself is beautiful and pristine but not stuffy which I was concerned about. The staff is always available to ensure everything is perfect. The pool area is a dream- the pool is giant and the windows around it open to a lovely garden area. There are two jacuzzi, one indoor and one outdoor. They also have a large workout room with lots of equipment and a full service spa. From the hotel you can access an underground system that connects you to the subway and rail stations so you can spend your day sightseeing and then come back and collapse in luxury!

We are having an absolute fantastic time at The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka. We had a very special bike tour with Simon around the city. This is something that the hotel offers for guests. It was such an amazing way to explore Osaka. So nice to hear more about the city from someone who lives here! Furthermore, the hotel and its facilities are amazing as well. Beautiful hotel and amazing service. We will be back!

This is our first time in Osaka on a 10-day stay at Ritz Carlton Osaka. Hands down Osaka is a much approachable city than the metropolis of Tokyo. The friendliness of Osaka people is contagious, not only from all the staff at Ritz from housekeepers to hostesses to concierge to the Director of Loyalty, Mr. Simon Finch, even the cashiers at 7-Eleven or Family Mart are equally collegial and extremely helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Ritz in Osaka and we would definitely consider staying at Ritz over Park Hyatt in the future. Until then, travel well.

Yelp
The Ritz Osaka delivered exactly what we expected: Outstanding customer service on top of the impeccable politeness of the Japanese culture. Our room was so comfortable and actually may have been the most comfortable and clean hotel room that I've ever experienced in my life. The bathroom was spa-like (bath salt buffet! Fluffy robes!), the bed was so soft, and the city view from our window was breathtaking. Returning home to our hotel room was such a lovely experience after long days of sightseeing. I wish that we had set more time aside during our trip to enjoy this property more. (we were too busy with day trips to Nara, Hiroshima, and exploring all that Osaka has to offer) Bonus: this hotel is located steps away from Osaka-Umeda, a major public transportation station. The Ritz Oska is 100% worth the price.

Yelp
Nestled amidst the vibrant energy of Osaka, The Ritz-Carlton offers a sanctuary of luxury and elegance. From the moment you step into the grand lobby, you're greeted with breathtaking views of the city and impeccable service that sets the tone for an unforgettable stay. We arrived in Osaka travelling in the Shinkasen from Kyoto and took a cab ride from the Shin-Osaka station to the hotel (approx 10-12 minutes). Upon arrival we were welcomed by some very warm and amazing hosts that got us to the checkin station where the hospitality just kept overflowing. Got our room and checkin information and the luggage was delivered to our room. Absolutely amazing rooms where the hotel ensures every stay is a truly indulgent experience. Every detail, from the plush bedding and marble bathrooms to the breathtaking city or bay views, reflects the hotel's unwavering commitment to providing guests with unparalleled comfort and relaxation. Top notch room service and Aesop serving their top line as toiletries/shower/bath/soap etc really makes the experience absolutely worthwhile. The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka goes above and beyond to ensure a truly unforgettable stay. Whether you're looking to stay active in the state-of-the-art fitness center, take a refreshing dip in the indoor swimming pool, or stay connected at the business center, the hotel caters to your every need. And for those seeking to explore the city, the hotel's dedicated team of concierges are happy to assist with recommendations and reservations. Amazing restaurants serving Italian (breakfast is served here), French , Japanese and Chinese cuisines definitely add gold to glory and they happened to be booked in advance. So if you plan to have dinner/meals over there please do book in advance. Stunning views, luxurious accommodations, impeccable service, world-class restaurants, and rejuvenating spa. Amazing experience, and a touch of everything extra for those who appreciate the finer things in life. Absolute absolute recommendation and an experience that should be given a try at the least!!

Yelp
In typical Ritz-Carlton style, the service here is fantastic- you get what you pay for. We stayed for a week, and got to know several staff members, including the GM, all of whom had great suggestions for their favorite things to do. They are in the process of renovating; we were on the top floor in one of the newly done rooms and it was absolutely lovely. Do spring for the breakfast included option: the variety and quality of the food is spectacular. I think I made up for the cost by eating multiple ikura don and duck udon every day. One cautionary note: if you have tattoos, you aren't supposed to use the sauna or spa unless you can cover them. I can't cover all of mine, and was really in need of the spa after a six-hour hike in Nara, so they snuck me in when there were no other guests present, but I had to cover up with a robe once I got out.

Yelp
We booked the Ritz Carlton in Osaka through American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts program and I would recommend you do the same. For the price, including free breakfast, $100 in hotel credit, being a Marriott Gold Elite member (another American Express Platinum Card perm) and getting an additional $20/day this hotel was a steal. The service is top-notch. Over the top, actually. The room was great, although the shower/tub was a little lackluster, and we really felt like the vibe that this hotel chain has historically gone for. Home away from home. Etc. But I am knocking this otherwise excellent stay down a notch because of the unbelievably bad room service food. Normally we don't order room service. It's always way over-priced and just not worth the spend. But with $100 to spend we figured why not. Use it or lose it. We ordered a burger with fries, a rice dish, sashimi (I think?), and a tiramisu desert and all of the dishes were laughably bad! It was disappointing and surprising that for all of the otherwise excellent features of this hotel: the service, the room, the proximity to Osaka station, that the room service was nearly inedible. Breakfast on the other hand was as expected, which makes the poor quality of the in-room service so bizarre and confusing.

Yelp
Love this hotel!!! Amazing service! Very friendly and helpful staff! Everyone, I mean EVERY single staff we came across was so nice! You would really appreciate that if you travel with 2 young kids, like me. The decor of the hotel is classic Victorian style. I felt very old fashioned at first but then I started appreciating the ambiance more and more because it gave you a feeling of home which is very unique when traveling abroad. They have fresh flowers and live plants throughout the place, which I adored the most. They prepared 2 sets of kid slippers, 2 sets of kid pajamas and even 2 sets of vanity kits for my 2 little ones, they were so happy to see that when we just settled in the room. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food was good, I liked the beef tongue appetizer the most, but the squid ink pasta was a little too salty for me to finish it. My son loved their sausages from the kid's plate, and he wanted to have more of that only, we were afraid they wouldn't honor it, but they actually did, my son was very happy. The swimming pool is ok, not very big compared to other hotels I have stayed. I guess that is because the entire hotel is pretty old so the size and design is not up to date. But I am fine with that, as long as the kids can enjoy swimming here. Would definitely stay here again when we visit Osaka next time.

Yelp
We only stayed one night here. When we arrived they recognized my Platinum status and gave me an upgraded room. However no breakfast for us which was disappointing. All of the hotels provided breakfast and I have stayed at 4 different hotels. So this hotel is very clean and for how old it is very different. You can tell all the layout and the look of it is old school. The designs are worn and outdated. When I looked at the back of my bed the tons of wiring and extension cords seemed almost fire starting. One thing nice was that this was the only toilet that opened when you went near it. All of my other hotels here in Japan didn't do that. The place is old and you can see the wear . It really needs an overhaul and remodel to get it updated. My wife said if we are in Osaka again not to book this hotel. Don't get me wrong it was an ok hotel but something about it was just off and not our style.

Yelp
Stayed over New Years with family as part of routine for the last few years. We spent lot of time at the Club Lounge where five different meals are served throughout a day. The location is perfect, service is great, rooms are well-maintained and comfortable (plus big bathroom). Certain staff members including the GM are extremely hospitable and they treat us with warm welcome every time.

Norma F.

Yelp
Best service ! Everyone was so friendly and helpful . The location of the hotel was great . Can't wait to visit again!

Eric L.

Yelp
Five stars for location, three stars for hotel. Hotel is old, beds are quite uncomfortable. The hotel needs a massive upgrade to be a modern Ritz, but it is reflected on the fairly low price of the rooms.

Yelp
We stayed here recently on our vacation to Japan using my husband's Marriott points. It was incredible 5 star service, accommodations and food the entire time! From the moment we stepped in the gorgeous room, with a super fancy Japanese toilet and an amazing view of Osaka, I knew saving Osaka at the Ritz until the end of the trip was the right idea. Service couldn't have been more on point. Everyone there was so kind and courteous. (Also spoke amazing English). Walking by anyone who worked there, they stopped to say "Good Morning," "Good Afternoon" or "How is your day going?" House keeping comes by twice a day, once for a normal cleaning (they do above and beyond what they should!) and then for turn down service. The food was delicious. Room service is pretty quick and the food we ordered was really good. The restaurant downstairs that serves breakfast has so many great hot options (both western and Japanese). I couldn't stay away from the fish (Japanese food area), fruit, pastries, fresh squeezed juice and the serve yourself sparkling wine.

Yelp
We arrived here by Taxi and were greeted by Angels. I mean it. All my bags were taken by a staff that made me feel like I was a king. All smiles yet more professional, courteous and sincere than I've ever seen at a hotel. About four people or so greeted us and had our luggage, umbrellas, shopping bags and nick nacks all neatly packed away on a luggage cart in what seemed like 5 seconds. The front counter person greeted us with warmth and gave us our room key in a quick and efficient manner. But there were two other people, porters for the day, one whose name was Otawa led us to our room and showed us all the perks. Her professionalism put us both at ease. The vibe inside the Ritz Carlton is of dim smoked wood. An old school kind of elegance that leaves your spirit calm, cool and at ease. There are paintings that all have simple scenes of people, items or places. Most were impressionist in artistic style and there were interesting cabinets with unique China and collectibles like a mini statue of a man riding a horsey and an old fashioned telephone that actually worked. Our room was elegant and cozy with a huge 60" Flat screened television and lots of space and a view of JR Osaka Station. The bathroom was spacious and had two sinks and a toilet seat that was motion sensitive. It even flushed automatically and of course was the modern Japanese toilet with bidet. At bed side, there were buttons you could press to open or close the drapes, leave a do not disturb light at your door, and to function the lights. The turn-down service here is first class pampering. You'll find your bedsheets unfolded open so you could tuck in Italian sheets and pillowing that are the most comfortable I've ever felt. At your bed side is a bottle of water with a unique round glass and two chocolates. The bathroom countertop is also in relaxing gray Italian marble. Prior to checking in on our first night, my gf and I went out into Jr Osaka Station and got lost trying to find the Lucua Building where we wanted to have a taste of Okonomoyaki. The place was a 15 minute walk from our hotel and we got lost trying to find it amid the busy Jr Osaka crowd of locals. Jr Osaka Station is a lot like Grand Central Station and can be confusing because of the many different directions and the rush of pedestrians. We were completely disoriented and had no idea that we were walking in circles. After being totally lost, we'd just about given up trying to find our destination when out of the blue in a sea of 1,000 people, our Porter, Otawa, in plain clothes off duty found us with smiles and like an angel guided us right to the Lucua Building as if by magic in what took maybe 2 minutes. Like I said, the people who work here were angels. The breakfast buffet was very good though I did have a few issues here: no scallions, no Tabasco sauce and no hot mustard. The vibe was excellent though. For the breakfast buffet, other than my gripes above, you'll find just about anything: 1. Omelette or eggs fried to your liking 2. Congee 3. Soba 4. Lots of papaya and dragon fruit 5. Cereals 6. Bacon, braised pork (soooo good!!!) 7. Bagels and lox 8. Pancakes (too dry), waffle, green tea bread pudding and French Toast 9. Natto 10. Yogurt and cereals 11. Lots of Toast 12. Smoothies and juices 13. All the coffee you'd like (including double espressos and cappuccinos) The staff running this place were all 5 Star people. Aside from stores, there was a very relaxing lobby lounge for tea time. If you go there late at night, you'll hear very suave mellow live jazz that is as good as jazz gets. I heard some of the most hypnotic, romantic jazz sung in minimalism with just a piano. It was dreamy 5 Star jazz at its best. My entire experience was so fun here that I found myself not even wanting to leave my room which seemed like my own little world of everything I needed to be happy for the rest of my life. The juxtaposition of arriving in my room here to the outside rush of the Osaka/Umeda Stations left me in a state where sleeping for 10 hours was a cinch. The room service was prompt, reliable and perfect. After all these years and numerous hotel stays, I thought I knew what 5 Stars meant. I didn't know until my stay here. Thanks Ritz Carlton Osaka for a perfect 4 night experience that I will never forget. Can not wait to come here again.

Yelp
I spent a very short amount of time at this hotel - I wish I'd had longer - but this was a stop-off basically for me to get from the other locations in Japan I had spent two weeks seeing - back to the USA. I arrived via train at the Osaka station on Thursday, walked the 10 minutes with my small rolling bag and backpack to the hotel - and checked in around 6pm. I stayed the night, had room service for dinner and the breakfast buffet, and was checked out and dropped off by 11:30 the next morning at the Herbis bus shuttle for KIX international airport for my flight home. I did have minimal time to see the surrounding area during my walk in. It's very close, as already mentioned, to Osaka station and because of that is within walking distance to tons of food and shopping that are in the underground subway/train pathways leading to and from the station. It's also located in a posh shopping mall area where you can walk a few steps outside the hotel and be shopping in some high-end stores like Prada, Gucci, Hermes, etc. Be warned - they all close early at like 8pm. The Ritz hotel itself is very classically decorated, as usual, with lots of ornate wood, elegant fireplaces, and classic old-world elegance. Check-in was great - they had the room ready, had upgraded me, and had my bags I had sent ahead via service waiting for me. My room was on the 37th floor (the highest) with a gorgeous city view and was very quiet for a nice night's sleep. It had complementary water and tea, a welcome snack and note from the hotel staff, and PJs for me to wear to sleep. Room service was great - and the breakfast buffet was divine. I most enjoyed the fresh croissant and egg bar where they had a croissant of the day (for me was like a chantilly orange vanilla) where it was toasted, sliced and filled with a delicious fresh custard. So delicious. I took one star off because I went down to tour the spa and was shown around and was told I'd have to pay $10 to use the hold/cold spa space offered - it wasn't included with my $350 a night room. I'm not a fan of uncharges at fancy hotels - either charge the money up front so I get to use the amenities - or don't offer them. I dislike feeling like I'm being nickeled and dimed over small stupid amenities... huge pet peeve.

Yelp
TL;DR: Treat yo self! Stay here Service: A+++ The staff was very helpful, polite, and I'm amazed that I was able to stay here. I'm already dreaming of going back. This place is like Cheers after you meet someone then everyone knows your name, lol. Service is impeccable, and the majority of the staff I meet knew English. Travel Tips: *Located conveniently it's a small underground/covered walk to local transit. *If you're checking in that day you can drop your luggage off early and enjoy the city.

Yelp
First, the service here was spectacular, as per typical RC. They helped us set up a number of reservations what we simple would not have been able to being that we do not have Japanese language skills. Also, to make our stay even more convenient, we were able to exchange USD for YEN on premise. I'd love to give 5 stars but, as a non-smoker, I cannot. Our room smelled of cigarettes as well as the bar and dinning area. I understand this is a cultural difference however, I've seen this managed better in other countries where smoking is still prevalent (most of Europe). The rooms are very nice, classic modern, if that makes any sense. Point being, very stylish with all the latest amenities you would expect. Also, not to far from Osaka Station, which makes getting around easier, including to and fro Kyto. Btw, there is an underground passage to the station accessible from an elevator in the Ritz!

Yelp
The most incredible hotel I have stayed in the whole world. The Ritz Carlton is always impressive but this one takes it to another level with the Japanese hospitality and service. If they still do the chocolate brunch, I'd recommend it! The hot tub at night was lovely as well.
google avatar

C S.

Yelp
The RC Group rarely fails to be impressive and this property is no different. Their club level is perched on the 34th floor with sweeping views of the city. The snacks and meals are good and they have a daily afternoon tea on the club level. The rest of the hotel is immaculately clean and everyone from the valet to management provides first class service.
google avatar

Marc K.

Yelp
Higher end hotels in japan are always spectacular and the RC in Osaka is as good as it gets. The room was nice, quite spacious and clean. The concierge staff was fantastic, so helpful and strived to find us whatever we asked for and the hotel restaurant is superior. I guess that you can tell that I had a good visit

Yelp
Disappointed. We arrived from the St.Regis Osaka from a wonderful stay so, my opinion is skewed. Location is good, convenient to endless high end shopping and the subway station. Check in was quick and efficient. Our non smoking room smells very strongly of cigarette smoke. The woman who showed us to our room was very nice but, could not communicate the hours of the Club Lounge very well. She kept telling us not to go until 2pm when all we wanted was to sit and have some water. Ritz Carlton is world renowned for its service standard and creating a "wow" experience for the guest. I don't feel it here at all. Looking back, I'd like to go back to the St. Regis.

Paul T.

Yelp
My expectations are always high when it comes to places like this. For the most part my expectations were met as far as the hotel goes, however I was a bit underwhelmed by their Japanese food restaurant. I found the dishes way too simple, something you could get anywhere. There was no wow factor in both presentation and ingredients. Considering the charge was 25000 yen a person (not including drinks) I think I have legitimate reason not to return.

Yelp
Exceptional hotel. Outstanding customer service, great rooms, excellent location. Loved my recent stay (early March 2017) here, yet another terrific stay at a hotel I've been to numerous times due to its product. Love the rooms, Marriott Platinum Rewards really pays off. Excellent customer service, English spoken by most staff. Phenomenal Club Level Lounge with great views, cannot say thank you enough to Mei Okazui for her extraordinary efforts to simplify my stay & her happy disposition. What a wonderful person! Also appreciated Chef Nakanishi's efforts throughout. Location is ideal, proximity to multiple train stations. Absolutely will return.
google avatar

Gwendolyn G.

Yelp
Over the years, I have experienced many wonderful places, but this particular hotel and their five-star customer service goes way beyond anyones expectations. For instance, if you ask someone for anything- even directions they will not pass the buck for someone else to solve. For example, we needed directions to an ATM.. they personally walked us out of the hotel and into the underground mall to the machine. Another time, we needed a pharmacy for cough drops.. not only did they walk again, but they also had someone bring a tea tray and a room humidifier to our room without us asking for those items. The flight from LAX to get to Osaka was very long, but I would make the trip again just for the hotel and the wonderful staff.

Yelp
Once I had almost lived in this hotel. My room category was mainly Club floor.Served meals and desert 3 times a day . Prepared for full bar service. Especially air conditioning was nice. Most hotels are too dry to stay comfortable. Once you enter the entrance of this hotel, it's comfortable to come back to life. Yelp
Great property. Service is exceptional and the rooms were great. All of the rooms we have stayed in on our trip were very small. These rooms weren't as small as the other places but smaller that what you would see in the US. Very nice rooms, clean, well taken care of. Can't say enough about the quality of the room. AC worked magnificently, kept the room cold, actually had to turn it up. Turn down service at night. We had pizza delivered on Monday June 8th and we waited at the entry to the hotel. The young men there in top hats were very helpful. I wish I knew their names. They were on duty on the 8th around 3pm. The delivery driver forgot to leave the drinks. One of the young men didn't pause, he took off running to find the driver (I had already walked in the hotel Before realizing I didn't have drinks). He came back several minutes later, drinks in hand. Not sure how far he had to go but that was a wow moment. Great job and I hope these guys get recognized for the extra service.

Yelp
Great hotel! The staff is very friendly, the rooms very luxuoruois, and the Halls are nice and quiet. We had a lovely stay for our honeymoon. We also enjoyed the Nespresso in the room!

Yelp
This is the highest class of hotels in Japan. I cannot stay at because I am poor but I can just visit for free. I came here on 11th night of November with my friends. Do you know why? My friends and I am big fans of Paul McCartney! And he had live concerts in Osaka on 11th and 12th in 2013. There was a strong rumor that he was going to stay here. So we went to the front of this hotel right after the concert. There were a few other fans at that time but sadly we could not see him in real. I think he came to the other secret gate by car. We had been waiting for about 1 hour to believe he would appear sooner or later. It was a pity that we had to give up. Even we could not see him other friends could take pictures with the members of his band on 11th morning at the balcony of this hotel. I saw those pictures and they are real. For that reason this hotel is not only a good hotel but special one where Paul stayed at. So in the future when I could earn enough to stay this hotel, it would be awesome. I also heard that many foreign artists like this hotel and use during their tour. If you are rich enough, I definitely recommend you. It might be very cozy and the stuffs are kind and considerable.

Yelp
Worst hotel during our stay in Japan. Room smelled of cigar/cigarettes, they tried to get rid of it but to no avail. beautiful on the outside, old and stale on the inside. No real place to just relax and have a drink. Manager could have cared less....

Yelp
This is why I'm a true believer in "you get what you pay for!" I sprained my right ankle sometime during our second day in Osaka and by the time we got back to the hotel today, two days later, I could barely put any weight on it. I called the front desk to see if they have any ointment/balm to give me some relief but, apparently, under their laws they can not stock nor dispense medications. However, if I tell them specifically what I need, they can run to the pharmacy and fetch them for me. So I asked them for 3 things and by the time we got back after dinner, those exact 3 things have already been delivered to our room along with a very thoughtful, personal note. I'm just completely blown away by the level of service we have experienced since we got here. And this is just one of many examples of world-class service the staff here has rendered that made us feel as if we're the only guests at the hotel. I can't think of anywhere else we'd rather stay at the next time we visit Osaka! What a gem!

Yelp
I came here to take part in the graduation party of Nihon Waso. I reviewed Nihon Waso before. The students who learned how to wear kimono in Osaka branch flocked here in kimono. Hundreds of kimono-wearing women and men (mainly women) were overwhelming!!! But a slight accident happened. On that day of the party a typhoon was approaching in Osaka. So I was scheduled to wear kimono at home, but I brought it in the suitcase and change clothes at the hotel. The changing room was crowded with a lot of students. Thankfully my classmate helped me wear kimono. Thanks to her I wore kimono neatly. I asked the hotel staff to take pictures of us (me and my friends). The other day I looked at the pictures, which were not good in terms of angle and balance. The male staff was a bad photographer. A hotel staff should have taken good pictures, as they are often asked to take a picture by guests. The hotel employees should be trained how to take good photographs. We were taken photographs in a corridor, which was also gorgeous! By the way the party was held in a large banquet room. French dishes were splendid! I was deeply satisfied that the graduation party was held in this hotel. Others, a friend of mine held a wedding party in this hotel. I wasn't invited but was shown the pictures of the wedding ceremony. Outdoor chapel was so elegant! I wanted to have attended her wedding party.

Yelp
Ok stayed here in September. Used American Express platinum desk to book after the stupid way the Hilton dealt with me, the corner deluxe room here was so nice but alas twin beds, we made due since the view was amazing, we had some issues and the manager sent us as his guests for afternoon tea. We ate lunch at the tempura restaurant, it was delicious but too expensive for what we had the fruit basket that was sent to room was a nice touch, it was close to everything and for the extra two blocks from the train station than the Hilton it was a No brainier, stay here. Luxurious and fun. The pictures though of people from 1800s a little scary and dated. This is not a Japanese style hotel very European in decor, if you aren't into that then don't. It is very nice and staff were wonderful.
