"The Ritz is by far the largest—and definitely the fanciest—place to stay in Palm Springs. The truth is, unless you’re looking to explore the town or take a drive to Joshua Tree, there’s really no need to leave the hotel grounds. There are three kickass pools and inviting little nooks to take in the surroundings, you can find a really good steak and insane views of the desert at the Edge Steakhouse, and you’d be hard-pressed to find a better Sunday brunch spread than the one at State Fare Kitchen. And of course, there’s the Ritz Kids club to keep the littles occupied so you can clock in some blissful spa time."

From the moment you arrive at the Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage, you away by the breathtaking views, immaculate grounds, and impeccable service—but what truly made our experience exceptional was the warm welcome we received from Joni at the front desk.||Joni embodies everything you’d hope for in hospitality: gracious, thoughtful, and incredibly genuine. She made us feel like valued guests from the moment we stepped on property. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless and any thing we needed was taken care of. |The property itself is stunning—perched above the valley with sweeping desert views, luxurious rooms, and world-class amenities.||But it’s people like Joni who elevate a beautiful resort into a truly memorable experience. Her hospitality was the heart of our stay, and we are already looking forward to returning. Another one of my favorite people at the resort is Rey at the lobby bar. Rey is a master mixologist with a fun, witty personality. Always love seeing him on our visits. ||Highly recommended for anyone looking for relaxation, luxury, and outstanding service with a personal touch.

Our girls weekend at The Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, the resort went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. We made it a mission to try every pool—and we did! Each one offered a unique vibe and gorgeous views, making it easy to unwind and soak up the beauty of the desert. Our suite was stunning, complete with its own private fire pit. To top it off, Joan from the team surprised us with a s’mores kit—we had the best time roasting marshmallows under the stars. Another highlight was starting the day with a complimentary yoga class in their beautiful gym—such a peaceful and refreshing way to ease into the morning. Make sure to grab a vanilla latte at State Fare—it’s the perfect morning treat before heading out for the day. And a huge shoutout to Rubin, who curated the activity calendar and led the excursion we joined. He was an absolute breath of fresh air—fun, welcoming, and clearly passionate about creating memorable experiences for guests. We loved every moment and truly didn’t want to leave. Already planning our return!

We recently stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage and, as always, were incredibly impressed by the service. Though we don’t visit as often as we’d like, every time we return we’re reminded why this resort remains one of our top destinations.||Our check-in experience was handled by Andrew, who was professional, gracious, and helpful—even during a particularly busy time. He walked us through multiple room options to ensure we found one that suited our preferences.||Unfortunately, the following morning we encountered a disruptive situation while enjoying breakfast on our balcony—a neighboring guest directly below was coughing persistently and loudly for nearly an hour. While we have full sympathy for anyone experiencing health issues, the nature of the cough made it difficult to relax or enjoy our meal.||We brought this to the attention of the front desk, and Irene responded with true hospitality. She was kind, empathetic, and immediately arranged for a new room in a different area of the property that was perfect for us. Her understanding and professionalism turned our experience around.||The bellhop who assisted with the move was also outstanding—engaged, personable, and informative. Unfortunately, we didn’t catch his name, but his service was memorable.||Later that evening, Andre arrived at our door with a complimentary plate of chocolate-covered strawberries and a handwritten note from Irene expressing hope that we were happier in our new room. It was a warm, thoughtful touch that truly resonated.||This is what makes the Ritz-Carlton experience so special. The beauty of the location is undeniable, but it’s the personalized care and exceptional service that sets it apart. We will absolutely return again—and recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.

Everything was amazing. The suit was beautiful and the amenities are great, the lounge on the third floor being the biggest highlight. Some negatives is that the pool area was littered with empty cups and broken glass, it was cleaned well after an hour by the employees, also the room key took 3 hours to fix.

Google
The Reds in Palm Springs was one of my favorite hotels, the overall property is so well maintained and the rooms on the main floor with the fireplace as well as the patio portion are so worth it. I would definitely recommend hitting the spa if you have a chance, the facial and scalp renewal was amazing and the amenities within the spa like the sauna and steam room were absolutely incredible, one of my favorite hotel spa’s by far!

My husband and I spent a long weekend at the Ritz Rancho Mirage. It was our first trip to Palm Desert and we were eager to check into our hotel room. Avery greeted me at the front desk and acknowledged my Bonvoy status. I had booked through a preferred partner, and Avery was able to upgrade my room (thank you, Avery!). My husband and I had breakfast at the hotel each day which was delicious. Ruben at the front desk made some fantastic recommendations for trails to walk by the property, speakeasies to check out in the evening, etc. Dennis at the concierge recommended a great restaurant, Mitch’s. He also told us about Pioneertown which was fun to check out for a morning. Overall, the staff at this Ritz were upbeat and approachable. They were always saying hello, holding doors open, offering you water- these are the small touches you expect from a five star hotel. I would absolutely book here again!

The people and staff at Ritz Carlton are the difference makers here. Our interactions from the minute we checked in were stellar. Starting with Cristian at check in. He helped me get a room after I showed up without my reservation confirmed. It's Coachella weekend folks and he gave us a beautiful room. Also, want to call out Cecilia at the Edge restaurant. She made our dining experience truly special. Staff and food at club room is excellent. Great job to all. This is the way a hotel should be run!

Google
Stunning property with beautifully maintained grounds and 2 pool areas that truly stands out - spacious, scenic, and perfect for relaxing. The morning coffee station and water service was a thoughtful touch and added to the overall comfort of the stay. The spa is well-appointed and serene, though it’s worth noting that access is limited to just the gym and whirlpool unless you book a treatment. Would’ve appreciated more amenities included at this price point. Valet service was consistently efficient and professional, setting a strong first and last impression. However, one staff member at the pool stood out for the wrong reasons.. borderline rude and inattentive, which was disappointing given the level of service expected at Ritz. Overall, it’s a refined and relaxing property with standout features, only slightly held back by isolated lapses in service.

Yelp
I recently spent a relaxing couple of days at this Ritz Carlton, which is probably my new favorite place to stay in the Palm Springs area. The property itself is quite nice, with several pools, a spa, and large fitness center. I especially liked the telescope that was set up during the day for sungazing and in the evening for stargazing - it was a very unique amenity. The bar and restaurant "State Fare" was pretty good, but I will review it separately. The only thing I would tweak would be the hot tub area, which is somewhat small. The room itself was well appointed if a little dated - the view from our balcony was excellent. Service level was extremely attentive - all of our requests were actioned very quickly.

Yelp
Not all Ritz-Carlton hotels are ritzy. Location is awesomely hidden in the hills of beautiful Rancho Mirage and gorgeous palm trees. Decor and design are outdated. The desert light brown color furniture and bathroom colors were not as luxurious as other Ritz or 5 stars hotels. There are wears and tears in the furniture. Ceilings are low. Comfort of bed is average. Internet and TV didn't work but that was in the setting of Palm Desert flooding. Asked for a desert view. They upgraded me to an executive suite. Overall it's a pleasant stay but it's one of the least ritzy Ritz. Staff score: 5/5 Facility score: 3.5/5 Bouji score: 3/5 Views and location score: 5/5 Value for money score: 2.5/5 Comfort score: 4/5

Yelp
Cliff Notes Price Range: $$$ Parking: Valet Perk: Views Non-Perk: Paying Ambiance: Plush hotel Dress: Nice Noise: Low Temperature: A little cold Recommend: 100% Date: 07/04/2024 Dissertation: This hotel is a stunning escape where the desert views are so mesmerizing, they might just convince you to retire early, I wish anyway! The hotel itself is pure luxury, from the beautifully designed rooms to the peaceful ambiance that makes relaxation feel like a full-time job. And let me tell you, the room service is absolutely phenomenal, you'll be tempted to order three meals a day just to stay in the plush comfort of your room. If you want a vacation where you're spoiled to the point of laziness while surrounded by a stunning view, this is your spot. Warning: you may never want to check out--physically or mentally! This is where indulgence meets serenity.

Yelp
This review is for the dining room where I went recently for Christmas day dinner buffet. Since our party of 4 arrived early, we had time to browse the spacious grounds and gardens, which were wonderfully decorated for Christmas. The dinner was amazing! We sat on the patio with a nice fireplace and a gorgeous afternoon and awesome vistas.Service was impeccable and everything food wise was superb. I especially liked the seafood tower, which was an ice sculpture filled with crab legs, crab claws, shrimp, and assorted seafood. The lobster bisque was amazing! They also had prime rib, turkey, and various other meats and a complete breakfast station as well. The bacon and the Belgian waffle was the best I have ever had! Not cheap at $115.00 PP plus 20% tip, but well worth it for a special occasion...which it was.

Yelp
Beautiful grounds and friendly staff. We were on the way to the spa, and one the employees walked us to where it was located. Valet staff was nice too.

Yelp
If this was a Doubletree or Courtyard i'd probably give it 4 stars but since it's a Ritz the standards should be much higher. Upon arrival we called the front desk for several amenities. After a couple of hours we called again... and then again. We didn't get our items until after dinner and we had checked in around noon. We were looking for wine glasses. We found 2 wine glasses in one of the drawers but they were USED... as in there were still some wine in the glasses left from the prior occupants. Unless the previous occupants decided to put their used glasses back into the specific spot in the drawer where they found them (which would be quite odd) the hotel staff didn't clean and replace the items correctly. The overall room amenities were ok but more in line with a Doubletree/Courtyard than a Ritz We got a 2pm late checkout but when we went to the pool and tried to get back into our room around noon both our key cards were disabled and we had to go to the front desk to get it sorted. All small issues but issues i don't expect to have at a Ritz

Yelp
A bad start. The concierge assured my host that a wheelchair would be waiting at the valet. It took half an hour, so our 1:30 reservation started at two. I ordered a Hendrick's gin over the Ritz's famous $8 ice sphere, amazingly clear and I've found my new go-to gin. My lobster roll was packed and I took half home. For dessert we split green tea ice cream, outsourced and OK. Our waiter was excellent and with two disabled guests all went well. It's a one-of-a-kind restaurant atop Rancho Mirage with a desert view that makes up for a lack of ambiance.

Yelp
By far worth all of it. From Vallet to check in to room to cocktails to breakfast and damn....LORENZO TOPPED THE WEEKEND OFF.....his pool side choices to best service! Managers please commence This young lad. Anyway a but over what I spend when here but was worth every single penny! Staff you deserve a metal.

Yelp
First time with this brand, and first time at this location. Stayed for two nights. While the amenities and/or facilities are a bit outdated, what I find different from its similar tiered competitors is the level of service and attention. Very personalized, staff across are courteous in their greetings, we get follow ups for something that has been missed, and fair remediation of expectations missed (offered voluntarily). I am a fan of the brand and the location.

Yelp
We came here for brunch and stopped in the gift shop before returning home. In addition to snacks & essentials, the store also carries clothing, accessories, whimsical gifts, apothecary, and quality costume jewelry. The jewelry was pretty, and I was tempted to pick up a few pieces. We met a lovely lady who asked for our fashion advice. The hotel lobby is beautiful, and valet was complimentary.

Yelp
Drawing upon the original Italian 1000 Miglia open road race from Brescia to Rome (of which Chopard has also been partner since 1988), the California Mille is a 1,000 mile, four-day excursion through California's best scenic driving roads. The Ritz Carlton in Rancho Mirage is one of those locations , where all these drivers stop, for a bit, for the California 1000 Miglia.

Yelp
We came here to celebrate my 40th birthday weekend. Just wanted a nice relaxing weekend here to chill and destress. Once we got in around 11am of course our room wasn't ready but the sweet guest offer us the lounge access early so we can just hang out or roam around in the meantime. Once we got to the lounge we were greeted by the folks working there. They were very welcoming. Food at the lounge was great. They have a nice large family pool here and also a adult pool as well. There have some nice restaurants here so you really don't need to leave the property

Yelp
This was our second time staying at the resort and it measures up perfectly to our first experience. We were greeted in a friendly manner from all staff. The front desk went above and beyond to ensure our room was ready earlier than check in. We arranged our stay with Melissa who was patient and knowledgeable. Kayla and JR at the Adults only pool constantly adjusted our umbrellas to keep the triple degree heat off of us. Madison, Lao and Mu were also knowledgeable and accommodating during our stay. We enjoyed the Edge Steakhouse. It's a must try since you're on the property already. Such a nice view of the valley. The rooms are modern and incredible, especially the deep bath tubs. Tip: Bring sandals for the pool, it gets extremely hot on the ground in summer. Take advantage of the empty refrigerator in your room.

Yelp
Wanted a special place for a side trip getaway from our trip to LA. We requested a balcony room, and got a very remote ground level room. No apology, no explanation. The place overall is dated, but it is in a beautiful location, great views, pools are nice. but there is zero attention to details that you would expect from a 5-star resort. Zero. Our room had an old bottle of vodka and 1/2 full glass under the bedside table. The nicest person in the place was the bartender, Ron, at the Edge Steakhouse. The hostess at the State Fair seemed bothered by our presence. I mean, come on, did it hurt to seat us? Overall? Meh, a big MEH.

Yelp
We just returned from our stay at the Ranch Mirage Ritz, it's a beautiful and relaxing resort. The vistas are amazing and the grounds are well kept as expected from a Ritz property. Every staff member was professional and helpful, especially MJ (one of the hosts in the Club Lounge). MJ was extremely customer service driven, anticipating the needs of each patron in the lounge with grace and kindness...he should be recognized for his high level of service that made the Club Level worthy of the price paid. There were only two things that disappointed during our stay... 1- The room was so full of furniture that you could hardly move around the bed, and there was no room to store suitcases in the closet. We had an excellent, central view of the mountains and valley on the top floor - but the congested room space was not good. The room needs an update along with the bathroom, it's just time for some modernization. 2- We arrived Memorial Day and the best restaurant on the property "Edge Steakhouse" was closed every day (except one) during our stay. It is only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We really wanted to dine here but had other plans on the one day it was open while we were visiting. I feel it should only be closed one or two days during a week so most visitors can have a chance to experience the space which looks incredible when looking from the outside through the massive glass windows. Overall, we loved this place and will be back. I'll ask for a room with more clearance to move around next time!

Yelp
I am loving my stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage! Upon arrival we were greeted with toys for the kids, bubble wands, Kanye style glasses and bouncy balls! Ordered milk for our one year old and was already there as soon as we reached our room. Our room was located right in front of the pool and had a nice outdoor patio. We came with our 3 under 3 kiddos and was totally kid friendly they have separate pools for adults and a separate pool for all ages! We ordered the Kids some mango smoothies and they loved it! Food is really good here as well, ordered room service and had the lobster ravioli, Cesar salad and chocolate cake and all were soo delicious! I highly highly recommend!

Yelp
I was recently at the Ritz Thanksgiving dinner buffet The buffet was in the ballroom which was crowded and like a corporate event Although a very large buffet much of the food was not fresh. The bill for 2 persons was $498 with no drinks or extras Are you kidding me? The tip was mandatory 27% for clearing our dirty plates Don't go to the Ritz for special events What a rip off!

Garret Z.

Yelp
Talk about top notch service. The concierge staff were amazing. They were so friendly and accommodating and even sent a baby gift to our room for my wife who is 8 months pregnant. The property is beautiful but the staff is what really set this place apart. We will be coming back!

Yelp
The food and atmosphere at The State Fair restaurant at the Ritz Carlton Rancho Mirage is extraordinary. The manager Christopher Morrissey made our party of 10's birthday/anniversary dinner a memorable affair. He thought of things we didn't ask for but made our night super special, like 3 different and equally amazing desserts. He put us in an amazing room with views of of Rancho Mirage. The food was so delicious and beautiful to look at. Thomas, our waiter and his team were, attentive and exceptional at doing their jobs we even had the sous chef come out unexpectedly to see if everything was to our satisfaction. If You want to have a top notch wonderful Meal go to The State Fare, at the Ritz Carlton in Rancho Mirage.

Yelp
So, With Chauncey dying and my gallery being burglarized, taking my computer and.......my VINTAGE CHAMPAGNE COLLECTION (story just gets sadder) I needed a break to desert. I ALWAYS have a fabulous time here btw as per my last emails. I arrived via Uber and noticed my battery was low- but I had my charger cord. I figured, "its the Ritz" of course theyll help me. NOPE. After my fantastic Salmon dinner, NO ONE apparently had an ANDROID charger and my phone died. How will I get back I said? Valet said they would call taxi. I waited ALMOST TWO HOURS like a HOBO sitting on the bench outside. I almost thought "Oh well. I wilil just start a new life on this bench and live off the grid at the Ritz" Seriously shame on you guys. Im a female, alone, do not have any karate' skills and you guys let me just sit outside for hours ??? FINALLY guess what? an EMPLOYEE Took me to the Paloma Hotel. Why couldnt they do that in the BEGINNING??? Did I not look RITZY enough? I thought I did. Does my Amex not weigh enough? It sure does in my opinion. What made me so different than any other of your guests that your team waited 2 hours to drive me 3 miles to my resort as COMMON COURTESY. I have many affluent clients in the desert that love me- I will let them know of my experience and obviously not coming back.

Yelp
The Ritz-Carlton in Rancho Mirage offers a fantastic experience overall. The brunch is superb, with a variety of delicious options that cater to all tastes. The valet service is smooth and efficient, making arrivals and departures hassle-free. The grounds are impeccably maintained, providing a serene and clean environment. The only downside was the abundance of little ones running around, which might be a bit overwhelming if you're seeking a quieter atmosphere. Nonetheless, it's a wonderful place for a luxurious getaway.

Yelp
Was given a map and told to view the property on my own while other guests were shown the property. Also, had to ask for someone to light my fireplace while others were lit hours ago. They got my order wrong however a meal credit was provided to makeup for the issues. I expected the best but received subpar service as a GOLD ELITE member. (11/17/23) Nice views. Not sure I'd recommend. The hot air balloon festival was certainly fun.

Yelp
One great experience and then this week the State Fare dinner was not acceptable. So disappointed as we took friends there and wanted it to be special and definitely was not ! Well below the Ritz standards.

Yelp
This is one of the the most stunning resorts I've ever stayed at. From the rooms, to the food, to the grounds, to the service, everything was stellar and 5-star. I stayed here for one night and cannot wait to come back. Every single employee was beyond friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is in immaculate condition, and the property is absolutely stunning. I had breakfast at State Fare, and for $40, the buffet was well-worth it. This was a magical stay and I'm sure I'll be back for another sooner or later. A+!

Yelp
Part 2 - The second day I asked another person at the front desk who was much friendlier to tour the lounge and he immediately arranged for me to go up and the lounge attendants were waiting for us and welcomed us in and they were extremely friendly and even offered us something to drink. We declined but it was the first time we felt welcomed. On a separate occasion, we decided to upgrade to get access to the club lounge and we were asked to visit the front desk. Right before us was a couple having a nice conversation with the front desk at their check in and they were offered welcome drinks and received amazing service. When it was my turn, the front desk agent ignored me and didn't make eye contact the whole time and hence we were just standing in line waiting for the agent to call us. Jim from the bell desk must have seen this and came up to assist. He called into the radio informing them of our intentions and came back out within 2 minutes with new keys. Jim called me up and there was still nobody behind us. I was standing at the front desk with Jim right next to the front desk agent who's still ignoring us. Jim even asks him for help with a menu for the lounge and he fumbles around for 30 seconds before Jim gives up. Jim apologizes and informs us that they'll have a menu at the lounge. We also visited the concierge who we were in contact with before our visit. The concierge wasn't too friendly either but at least they acknowledge that I was standing there. I just wanted to thank them and follow up on my thank you email I had sent which got no reply. They acknowledged that they received my message and after speaking to them I can understand why I received no reply - the reply I got was "What did I do?," when I thanked one of the concierges. Joseph was much nicer, though, when I got a chance to speak with him and thank him separately. In the evening we walked by the front desk and I was hoping to ask for a s'mores kit. The agents who were available look away as I'm approaching and doesn't acknowledge me. At this point, after how ever many negative experiences, I ended up too reluctant to approach as it wasn't comfortable. The pool service was extremely better and Erick was very personable. We wish him the best. Kayla was also excellent and extremely welcoming as well. I didn't get to know her as well since she wasn't our server but she was also excellent. Overall I felt like we didn't belong based on our attire or we were too young and didn't look affluent enough to afford any of the services so they didn't want to bother and waste time talking with us. This is the overall feeling I got. Maybe if I was handsome, taller and Caucasian I would have had a better experience? Maybe next time. :) Madison and Lao at the club lounge though are the best examples of what I've experienced at other 5 star properties, but overall this property falls extremely short. Bethany at the front desk and Leo at the bell desk were also very helpful during checkout and I wish I had encountered them early at check in. Overall, it was a mediocre stay - saved by the service at the club lounge and a minority of employees who did care about all their guests - could have been much worse.

Yelp
Amazing staff! Location is very beautiful with a pretty view. The breakfast buffet is very delicious. The pool is heated and the hot tub is perfect! Would definitely come back.

Yelp
The Ritz-Carlton was sublime. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. I loved the arugula salad and mussels. Since it was our birthday, we ordered the meringue cake. Wow, what a treat. My friend and I live in the area. We enjoy going to local restaurants. We decided to come here to celebrate our birthday and had a perfect dining experience. If you come, eat outside in order to fully enjoy the views. Thank you to all the staff who treated us so well. You are valued.

Yelp
I have stayed at the Ritz Carlton Rancho Mirage for over a decade but this stay in August of 2024 was absolutely incredible because of the front desk staff member named non-other than Joni. She helped us enjoy our stay and allowed us to rest and enjoy all the facets of this property. My husband and I booked spa appointments and enjoyed the private jacuzzi, cold plunge, dry sauna, steamed spaces and aromatherapy showers that each had different infused sents ; Eucalyptus, Lemon and even Mango. The spa is open until 6pm each day so it would be smart to plan for a solid 4 hour time frame with time on most sides of the treatment you book. The entire property has also been refreshed in such a great way - the decor has now a natural mid century flow with the lobby bar still remaining that bold gold and orange. We love it! The gym attendant Miguel was also quite wonderful and always happy to see us. The spa gift shop sells the candles you want - as each property has its very own smell and this is truly one you should own, as well

Yelp
I came here back in 2019 and I had a great time on a work trip. There was one worker here that made our experience here so memorable that we talk about it until this day. Coming back here today and seeing that one person had made my day and my entire trip. We mentioned this last time to the front desk people and also our CEO. Her name is Chevelle and she is literally the most sweetest human being ever. You can definitely tell that she cares about her work and the people who comes on to the resort. You can definitely tell that she takes initiative whether acknowledging that someone has a question, needs menus adjustments due to an allergy or just making sure that everyone is happy with everything. I never experience customer service from somewhere where everytime I come to the area, I talk about it. I'm just glad she's still around! And she definitely deserves to be recognized! It really takes a lot for someone to make an imprint on your core memory of your trips. She truly delivered that type of service that everyone needs. It makes a difference even if it's just a little gesture. Overall again, my experience here back today is great! Definitely will be back!! PS - the food and drinks here is AMAZING

Yelp

The spa the rooms pool everything The only bad part was the man at the front desk at check in distinctly avoided checking me in abandoned me (I was next in line) to go get toys for the kids checking in He refused to acknowledge me and I had to go to another line to check in I loved the place thou Caution abt the resort fees and valet fees

Yelp
The people that work at this hotel are constantly very friendly and acknowledge you as you walk by, the helpers at the check-in desk were efficient and quick, the servers at our meetings brought in good hot food, we rented a cabana by the pool I would advise to go to the adult pool as the air pool Was heavily attended by children, including screaming babies, but again the help was friendly, quick efficient and on a hot day the pool was very nice

Yelp
The level of service at this, and all Ritz Carltons, is wonderful. The grounds are very nice. What I found disappointing was our room. It was not inexpensive. We had the room with the outside fire-pit. The fire-pit was very nice in the evenings. But the room was the smallest room I've stayed in for a very long time. I think Motel 6 has larger rooms. The other item that bothered me was the room was a bit shabby. A Ritz room should be NICE. This one was ready to be refurbished, and was not super clean. Stains on a bit of fabric items, and the chairs and the cushions outside were not super clean. Granted, none of this was bad, but not what I expect when I stay at a Ritz Carlton. I just came back from a trip to Switzerland, where everything was uber-clean, so perhaps I'm a bit jaded from that trip. I also have to give a shout out to the steakhouse. The view was fantastic, the service was excellent, as was the food. All first rate. So if you do stay there, be sure to enjoy the very nice steakhouse. And the room service food was also very good. But the tiny room, really?

Yelp
Not a great check in experience; didn't offer any water, didn't tel me where to go, I was looking around for my room which he said would be on the 2nd floor yet the elevator labeled second floor with an "L". I booked a room with a Mountain View and they gave me one overlooking the courtyard, no privacy at all.. no special treatment as a Titanium Elite member. The room had dirt over the bed (see pic), the bathroom light was broken and hanging (I told one of the hotel staff, 5 hrs later still not fixed), not what I would expect from The Ritz Carlton. I can get better service from lower priced hotels.

Yelp
TYLER IS A SAINT. Beautiful hotel, fantastic service. Another hotel ruined our vacation but Tyler and the staff at ritz carlton made up for it and more.

Yelp
I wish I could give more stars! This location absolutely killed it in there hospitality ! We arrived April 20th for a friends birthday. Mind you she saved up all her savings for this trip. We were greeted by Milbert and he was extremely welcoming. We were upgraded to a fireplace suite and for us this just made us almost cry. We don't get to stay in nicer places often and we got the royal treatment from the start! Jim took our luggage for us and told us all about the exciting things the hotel had to offer! Which we almost did them all!! Kenya and Selena killed it at the restaurant along with the other waitstaff! Very fast and great drinks. Food could have been a little better but we didn't care as the people made the weekend. The pool was awesome and relaxing ! Oddly enough the larger pool was better then the adult pool! Erick was absolutely amazing and attentive! We had great conservations about Coachella and stagecoach! Erick make sure you go to stagecoach next year!!! Spencer was also very helpful! We didn't get to eat at the steakhouse but maybe next year! We will definitely be saving up again and staying at the Ritz next year! Thank you team for such a great stay for such a special event for us! We were absolutely flooded with happiness and many memories thanks to you all !!!!!

Yelp
We have stayed here on many occasions and most recently stayed over Memorial Day weekend. The hotel was busy, but didn't feel overly crowded which is always really nice. Spend lots of time at the spa, which was much nicer than I remembered it having been. Steam sauna hot tub. I remember it being very small but this time it was much bigger. I guess I forgot lol! Jim is my favorite. It's big lots of machines and various different rooms to do different types of exercise if you want some privacy. We had dinner at Ed, which was wonderful. I never realized how small that restaurant was an exceptional culinary experience. Main restaurant is fabulous as well we have had a few New Year's Eve dinners there. We had a room with a fire pit on the backside of the hotel and it was really nice actually to be on the backside where it was really quiet. I definitely recommend splurging for the patio fire pit it's totally worth it.

Yelp
I was originally supposed to stay here for Coachella in 2020, but...well, a pandemic kinda crushed that idea. Then I thought about it more and it just didn't seem like the greatest idea from a logistical perspective to stay here for Coachella. But I figured for a one-day birthday trip? Probably worth giving it a shot. First things first, the thing that stood out to me the most was the top-notch service that I received here. Perhaps it is a function of being a Ritz-Carlton and an elevated service experience. But the minute I stepped onsite all the way up to when I left, they treated me like I was the most important person in the world. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. I'm talking EVERYONE...the bellmen, front desk, housekeeping. It felt like I had been there before, even though it was my first time. Nothing but great things to say about the staff here. Not just that, but they left a nice welcome dessert for my birthday, which was absolutely fantastic. Anyways, I got upgraded to a terrace firepit, which meant I had to be on the ground floor. But it also meant I had a very large area to lounge outside, as it opened to the entire resort property. Very nice for stretching out and relaxing! Aside from that, the room was pretty nice. This definitely ain't the Courtyard! Not the greatest room in the world, but certainly had the feel of luxury. Everything was well-kept and in order. Location is isolated, obviously on purpose. If you walk the grounds and get to the edge of the property, you'll have an amazing view of the Coachella Valley. I never knew the valley sparkled like this! Aside from that, the Ritz is designed to be self-contained. If you want to get anywhere, you're gonna have to drive. I wish I had more time to appreciate some of the amenities onsite, But when you're only here for a day, all you can do is just enjoy some of the property before you gotta leave. Thankfully at least with my Ambassador Elite status, I coulda at least enjoy it up to 4 pm. Parking is also $32/night and there is NO self-parking. Part of why I opted out of staying here for Coachella, even if I was using my points for the stay. Overall, I have nothing but great things to say about this resort. It is truly top-class and I can see why the Ritz is the top-tier resort for Marriott. Just wish I could've enjoyed it a bit longer.

Yelp
Both pool areas need new lounge chairs. Many pads are ripped from wear, so they flip them around to the other side, which means they are not fastened at all to the lounge frame, and can slide you right off the chair. In other outdoor areas, the chair pads show much wear and overall staining from age. In both pool areas, some lounges are broken but not removed out of service.

Yelp
My oh my. Yes. another Ritz-Carlton. Wonderful place. Incredible service. The hotel may be a bit dated, but it does not matter. It is super clean, well accommodated, and the staff is beyond amazing.

Yelp
I really hate to say this...but this was one the worst spa experiences I've ever had. I was really looking forward to my first prenatal massage. Firstly I was there with my husband we didn't book a couples massage, but they still put us in a room together (really downgrades the experience when you have to hear your partner while you're trying to relax). Secondly I asked for medium pressure but it just felt like they were gently rubbing lotion on my body the whole time. They never touched my shoulders or my upper back. I had high expectations for such a high caliber hotel. I left this experience extremely let down and disappointed. Only saving grace was the women's locker attendant surprised me with a gift for baby.

Yelp
We relocated here after a prematurely checking out from very disappointing stay at a local "Romantic" B&B. Upon our early entry, we were greeted by Joe, who is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, I mean, what a breath of fresh air! We expressed our distain about the beginning of our vacation and what we were looking for, and he pulled a hat trick. We got a beautiful room over by the adult pool. Once we got settled in and headed over to the pool we were taken care of by Erick, and who was also and angel. The Pina Colada had the whole pool lounging experience feeling like I was somewhere tropical. After heading back up to the room to take a pre dinner nap in what I could only compare to cuddling in a cumulus cloud, we made our way to dinner at The Edge. My boyfriend and I both had great cocktails, the SHE Crab soup, a Caesar salad, followed by the Colorado lamb and NY Strip. All of the sides were delicious, as well as the complementary dessert that was brought out. Cecilia took care of us at dinner, and if I could give her six stars, I would. My only complaint about this stay is that I don't have time to stay longer and even out the tan lines I gave myself. I can not wait to return.

Yelp
What an S show. This Ritz-Carlton location should be ashamed of themselves. Terrible service terrible terrible customer service I can go on on unless all of the awful things. But here's a tip watch out for the cactus near all the kids games. OK one more tip. Avoid the restaurant if you actually want service, or a drink at the bar and your meal within an hour and a half. Awful Ritz.

Yelp
We took out of town guests for lunch and hoping to have A wonderful ritz experience. Prices high. 65$ margaritas, no white anchovies in my Caesar salad, server dressed like a garage attendant, manager never checked on us even though only five tables occupied and the worst part was they auctioned off our lunches to a table of four in a relatively empty room. Three hundred and fifty dollars for four people was an abomination. Bathrooms were nice. Save your money and don't go. Property beautiful but there restaurant and food were not.

Yelp
We had heard that the witch Carlton had a fabulous breakfast with a fabulous view of the whole valley unfortunately on the day we went there it was cold outside and we had to do the brunch inside the prices $45 per person which wasn't worth the price the orange juice was fresh they made a homemade omelet and the bacon was gonna typical buffet style and that was about it

Yelp
My stay was fantastic! All of the exceptional service you would expect from a Ritz property, combined with a beautiful location. Mathias at check in was extremely friendly and helped me with a great room for a sunrise view. After check in the resort manager sent a bottle of wine to the room as a welcome gift for my Bonvoy status. I always appreciate that kind of thoughtfulness and attention to detail. I also appreciated Deborah, the concierge who assisted me with dinner reservations on property. That turned out to be a perfect choice. The Edge steakhouse was outstanding. Chef and team has curated an exceptional menu with drink pairings, which was prepared and executed to perfection. Rafael, my server was attentive and offered great recommendations. The Thymeless Mirage cocktail is wonderful if you enjoy Mezcal, and I certainly recommend the Prime, Moyer Farms, 9 ounce Rib Cap. Outstanding! The restaurant manager Daniel also stopped by to greet me, check on my needs, and offer additional recommendations for cigar and wine bars in town. Without question I will return to this property and enjoy a n extended stay. I tip my hat to the entire team for exceeding my expectations. Well done.

Yelp
Really outstanding staff. Warm and friendly luxury vibe. But an old dated building that eagerly needs refurbishing. All of the human elements of this property are great. It's that high-touch service that makes you feel truly special and valued. It's top notch service from the moment you enter. But the physical building is not up to par. Particularly not at this price point. There are plumbing issues. The furniture is very dated. The pool gate doesn't stay closed. There aren't even enough bedside outlets to plug your phone in. This is a very good hotel, but updating the building itself would be the missing piece that turns it into a great hotel.
