The service was impeccable. Our server, Thomas was incredibly knowledgeable about the food menu and the alcoholic beverages, offering thoughtful recommendations without being intrusive. He was attentive and genuinely warm, adding to the overall experience. He was so wonderful that we went for breakfast and returned in the evening for dinner. It was perfect because they're open later, on the weekends. They play wonderful music inside and outside the restaurant. The River Bistro is more than just a place to eat; it's a true culinary experience. Every dish is a work of art, and the attention to detail is evident in every bite. We're already planning our next visit and can't wait to see what other delights await us. If you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, look no further.

Absolutely gross food and poor service! Probably one of the worst breakfast places I've ever visited in Rhode Island. My waffle had rotting salad leaves (see pictures) that I had to pick out one by one. The toast and home fries came burnt. Wife's shrimp omelet was dry and overcooked and had a very strong fish smell. She asked for Sriracha to mask the taste and smell, that was never brought to the table. When we pointed all this out we were promised new salad greens that never came out and replacement home fries just as burnt as the first batch. The attitude was indefferent, but full disclosure we were given 20% off our check when we pointed everything out but with no real apology. The decor is super tacky. The severs seemed overworked and under paid. I did not scrimp on the tip even though we had a very poor dining experience. The only saving grace is the view of the river and the location but that is nowhere enough to make up for the unappetizong and frankly unsafe food with rotting salad leaves.

Unfortunately, our recent visit to The River Bistro was deeply disappointing from start to finish. Despite arriving just an hour after opening, the kitchen had already run out of several key ingredients, including home fries, tomatoes, prosciutto, and smoked salmon. This set the tone for what became a frustrating and poorly managed dining experience. We waited over 30 minutes for our drinks—even though we were seated just a few feet from the bar—and nearly two hours for our meals to arrive. When the food did come out, the quality was unacceptable. The avocado toast was missing its namesake ingredient and came instead with dry shrimp and olives on top of stale, rock-hard bread. The Garden Benedict’s hollandaise sauce was dry, and the Italian omelette was burned and oddly composed. My own dish, the Farm Benedict, was never put into the system at all. Instead, I was brought French toast and a bowl of cold tater tots. To make matters worse, the staff showed little concern or apology for the issues. After waiting nearly three hours with barely edible food and substandard service, we were still charged for the one drink we did receive. The manager made no effort to rectify the situation or offer any form of apology. This was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I’ve had in Providence. I will not be returning, and I will be advising friends and family to avoid this establishment as well

I walked into this restaurant with high hopes—the atmosphere gave off good energy and the vibe seemed promising. Unfortunately, that was the peak of the experience. Things started going downhill the moment I saw that their specialty cocktail was a Red Bull vodka. That should’ve been my first clue. Wanting to share some plates with our large group, I ordered the sliders and pizza. Apparently, they were out of everything required to make them—not exactly a great look for a place during peak hours. We settled for a Caesar salad, which was anything but. There was barely anything Caesar-like about it—bland, limp, and clearly not fresh. I also ordered the avocado toast, which the menu described as coming with arugula, sesame, and a variety of toppings. What I got was a sad single slice of white bread with plain mashed avocado. No seasoning, no extras, no effort. When I brought this up to our waiter, he simply said, “I’m just filling in today.” Not exactly reassuring. To make matters worse, when the manager saw we were having a bad experience he came over and said “you won’t need these anymore right” and attempted to take out menus away. All in all, this was a major letdown.

Wanting to avoid the food truck options we made reservations for the water fire event. We were even able to add guests to our reservation at last minute, certainly we were very appreciative. We were also told there was a limited menu which was understandable due to the number of people in attendance of the event. The more people you get in and out the more money you make, simple economics. There were signs requesting a 90 minute timeframe which we felt would be adequate to enjoy a sit down meal. This is where our meal became disappointing. The limited menu had enough variety for our party of 6 to select from, 4 of us selected the chicken Madeira, 1 hot honey chicken sandwich and 1 burger. Within 10 minutes our meals appeared, which led us to believe all of the food was sitting in steam ovens waiting to be assembled. There was no offer of a salad/soup or bread, just a plated dish. We all felt like we were being served leftovers. All of the Madeira plates went back to be warmed up, the other items should have gone back but didn’t. We all felt that it was overpriced for the quality and quantity. The waitress tried to make it right, by reheating everything. Unfortunately we left , in less than an hour, disappointed and probably should have stayed with the food truck option.

I did like this place a lot. Although it tends to be on the pricey side, you simply cannot beat the view of the waterfront. We took Irish coffee and it was good, but not the best I've had. The meat lovers' pizza was very tasty, though. The service was very warm.

We decided to brave the cold and give the River Bistro a visit for dinner. We were pleasantly greeted into their warm,cozy restaurant. Our dinner did not disappoint. I had the chicken Parmesan which was cooked just the way I like it. Nice and crispy on the edges and tender in the center. It was delicious. The portion was huge. Two breasts and plenty of pasta which gave me a nice take home dinner for today too. My husband seafood special which was a large piece of pan seared salmon, shrimp, and scallops on a bed of saffron rice. He loved it. The portion was large also. What was especially nice was that the chef came out to our table to make sure that we were pleased with our entrees. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant. Good food, large portions, nice atmosphere. We certainly will be back!

I don’t usually leave reviews but this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. I came in expecting a simple, decent meal—what I got was rotten avocado toast, raw chicken on my Caesar salad, and a front-row seat to utter chaos. The avocado on the toast was brown, sour, and clearly way past its prime. The chicken in my salad? Raw in the center. Not rare. Raw. That alone should’ve been enough for me to walk out, but I gave the place a chance to make it right. Instead, when I brought this up to the manager, Thomas, he was dismissive, condescending, and downright rude. No apology, no concern—just attitude, like I was bothering him by not wanting to eat spoiled food. He deflected and blamed the issues on former staff that no longer work there, im sorry but the people who aren’t employed anymore didn’t prepare my food. To top it off, a waitress spent half the time recording herself twerking and dancing around in the dining area. I’m all for good vibes, but when your food is unsafe and your staff is more focused on TikTok than the customers, there’s a serious problem with priorities. Save your money and your stomach. This place is a mess—both in the kitchen and in management.

This was our first time here. The place is cute. I liked that it is by the water. I wish it was nicer out that day because I would have like to sat outside. The bartender was great. We had bottomless mimosas! The food itself was OK. I feel that the pancakes were overcooked, they were hard on the outside. I got the steak tip Benedict. It was good. My husband got the seafood omelette. He was disappointed with it. We thought it was going to be chunks of seafood, but it just seemed like it was minced into a seafood breading type of thing. Our cousin got the chicken and waffles and he liked it. He devoured it. Even though I wasn't impressed with the food, I would come back at night and try dinner and the ambience.

We went on a Wednesday for dinner and the experience was lackluster. First of all they told us they did not have any steaks, no short rib empanadas. The culprit, the meat delivery person.... We sat outside overlooking the river and the setting was nice and relaxing. We ordered some wine and a flatbread pizza....the pizza tasted like Stouffer's...the crust was not fully cooked and the sausage topping tasted like breakfast sausage...a big disappointement. We saw a lady eating a pasta dish and she left half of the plate un-eaten. Nice setting, nice ambiance, but the food and the availability of items was not great..

Love the new place! What a change, i like the New Orleans theme. Can't beat the view. Our waitress was attentive and the service was great. Wings and burgers were a hit. Ask the bartender for a Ranch Water, don't blame me if you stay for two!

Our party of 3 were shocked at being brought our $25 dinners in paper baskets, with luke warm noodles, microwave chicken and cheap frozen burger. We thought that because they were overlooking Waterfire that they would have had really great food because the spot was so perfect. The food was absolutely terrible. We paid $25 per plate for what looked to be yesterday's food that they were serving microwaved today. I can't say enough how bad this experience was and how disappointing. And also questionable was the fact that the menu had four items on it. We all agreed we should have walked out and said no way this is not okay.

Beautiful spot along the river with high windows sunlight streaming in. A rather eclectic interior with a slight European flare. Four of us for brunch. Typically brunch is a bit leisurely. But in this case, they are extremely slow. Our server was pleasant, but we had to ask her multiple times for most things before we actually received them. The lemon, blueberry French toast was average.Two points for real maple syrup though. The crab Benedict was the stand out. Although it needed citrus. My chicken and waffles were both overdone, dry waffles and overly fried chicken breast. It was so dark. But it took forever to get our food so I wasn't going to send it back. The cappuccino was OK. The bloody Mary's were pretty good but the celery ends were old as where the olives. Celery should be trimmed and soaked in water to keep it fresh and crisp. IMO they need to pay attention to detail.

The food was okay. I got the burger and it was basic. The views were beautiful and the servers were high energy, kind, and accommodating.

I ordered on Christmas Day a dinner from you and two Uber drivers told me your restaurant is closed. Next time I suggest you updated your mobile ordering system.

Wow, where to start? Mainly, the food did not come out as described on the menu , although it certainly took long enough that there was time to make it properly . There seemed to be a problem in the kitchen and the server didn't quite know what was going on. This is a must skip.​

Asked to sit outside but told we didn't have a reservation. There were 3 empty tables open outside when we arrived and 8 empty when we left. Instead we were seated by the kitchen/bathroom when all but one table was open. They have mamosa and Bellini on brunch menu. I asked for a Bellini but they said they didn't have. My boyfriend's pancakes were good. My Avacado toast was horrid. Typically a resteraunt offers fresh sliced Avacado or fresh mashed. This was old (color) and it was speared soooo thin (like you do butter). So my toast was DRY. It has tasteless tomato slice, canned olives and sesame seeds. It was so bland and dry. The waitress asked how I liked because I barely ate any. I was honest. She said she'd tell the manager but manager never came to check on us. Waiter broke a mug that went flying and hit my bf leg. No one seemed to care. It was just a bad experience. We live within walking distance but will not go back.

I have to say please give this place a try. The new owners are wonderful people and are making positive changes to make this a happening place in Providence. Their brunch has been spectacular from day one they took over. Personally I loved the French toast. My wife, son, and his girlfriend all had something different and each said it was great the few times we went. We have gone to dinner there a couple of other times. The burgers are huge, tasty, and done right. Get one with the tots you won't be disappointed. Haven't tried many of the other dinner items as summer got away from us. Now with the cooler weather though we will be going back and giving more options a try. As I said the owners are very accommodating and will go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Chef Steph and his son Aaron will give you a great experience

Don't go here. We went for Waterfire and the only good things were the view and our kind waitress. The menu was very limited due to Waterfire, so you'd assume it would be good, but that wasn't the case. There was only one cocktail option, and when we asked for a Moscow Mule, we heard the bartender yelling at the staff that if they accommodate one person's request, they have to accommodate them all. Chill. It's vodka, ginger, and lime. Limited Menu included roughly 5-6 entrees, no appetizers, no desserts (overheard staff suggesting that a party get Cheesecake Factory for dessert). Food was just plain bad. The jambalaya was mushy and gross and the ceviche was served in a clear plastic cup -- which apparently was worth $25. I tend to read Google Reviews but the 4.2 stars on Google have to be fakes or something. Cause that shit was nasty

We have eaten here during WaterFire- perfect place to sit outside and watch the hustle and bustle. However, we have not been here in this new incarnation since it changed its name from River Social. There were seven of us celebrating a birthday meal early before a performance and sat inside. A pleasant interior. The waitstaff, young and cheerful, were pleasant but not efficient. After settling upon drinks (various cocktails and a beer which was'light' instead of the normal ordered), we shared some appetizers: stuffed mushrooms, truffle fries and empanadas. For the main dishes there were two scallops (overcooked), a burger which arrived with fries instead of the onion rings that were ordered), a somewhat tasteless chicken parm, a salad (OK but not tasty), and two orders of the 'special' the grilled swordfish (dry and tasteless). The food came out in drabs even though the place was not at all busy at the time. It was a disappointing meal. A pity, which has made me think that I may not return. (The only thing that would tempt me is the location during WaterFire.) I hope they will get their act together.

Booked this place online 4 months in advance for waterfire night. Wanted to make sure we were sitting along the water by waterfire. We were a party of 6 from out of town and wanted so badly to like this place. Perfect location, nice bar, and only a few tables inside and outside. They had a small temporary bar set up outside for drinks. That's where it ends. The menu online was extensive and there was something for everyone. We were not told that they had a limited menu during waterfire even though we booked months in advance!! The limited menu was 5 items that weren't even appetizing. And not one appetizer on the menu either. See photo of menu. The only side available was tater tots!! Not even fries!! Guess they had tater tots left over from brunch. 4 of use ordered the pasta bolognese and the other 2 the burger and chicken sandwich. Not one fish item on the menus. Not even fish tacos or a vegetarian option. When the pasta arrived IT WAS NOT BOLOGNESE! it was vodka sauce with chunks what looked like burger meat. When we asked the waitress agreed that the sauce was a cream sauce which we had to return because one person in our party cannot have anything creamy. We returned one pasta for another burger which came in 5 minutes. The pasta was simply awful. One person actually had a stomach ache after. It tasted like jar sauce with overdone pasta. Very mushy. Small portion too! And it was $25!!! The manager came over and we expressed our disappointment on the limited menu. We told him we traveled for waterfire and good food. He said it was on his website. When we looked on the site, you had to scroll endlessly to the end where they mention limited menu for waterfire but the menu is NOT posted. He also said his kitchen was very small and couldn't accommodate a large crowd during waterfire. To finish things off, the final bill was wrong. They had charged us the pasta anyway which was more than a burger. And they charged an extra dollar for ordering a bourbon neat with no ice. Good bye. We will never be back. Such a shame cause of the great location.

Father's Day Brunch experience - they didn't know we were coming even though we made a reservation on Open Table. We ordered blueberry lemon pancakes - they were out of blueberries. Salmon? Out of salmon? Tater tots - out! Then they tell us they are out of pancake mix and they tried to door dash some. Then our food just doesn't show up. Come to find out the chef had left and the "floor manager" was preparing our food. A random server had told us that our food was plated but it never was. To be fair - we tried to order at 2:15. The kitchen closed at 2:30, and they never returned to take the rest of our order until 2:45. In the end, all I wanted was two scrambled eggs, and they couldn't do that either. This place needs help.

What a great place! Great atmosphere with beautiful decor and open concept. The view of the river is just beautiful. They have the most amazing drinks and a wide selection of food from appetizers to main dishes. The service was great, the staff was attentive and friendly. I will definitely be back!

The aesthetic of this restaurant is modern yet warm. It's a small restaurant, with seating for maybe 30-50 people(?) with a nice bar. Very tasteful decor and a great location as well, right along the river in downtown Providence. However, it did take us a second to find the restaurant as it is on the lower level of the waterfront park. Two of us had a reservation so we were seated immediately at 11AM on a Sunday. Our server provided water and came to take our drink orders promptly. We both ordered mocha almond milk lattes which we enjoyed. I ordered a second and my friend wanted to order a second latte as well but we didn't get the chance to put the order in. The server provided a few suggestions but she said that since the menu is new she hasn't gotten the chance to try everything yet. She recommended the seafood Benedict and the steak and cheese burrito. I decided to order the seafood Benedict and my friend ordered the Portuguese burger with an over hard egg and the burger medium well, but closer to the well side. The burger came out a little overcooked but my friend didn't fault them since she did ask for "medium well-well." The chorizo in the burger was SO good. But there was just a bit too much chorizo in the burger for my friend's preference. We both really liked the seafood Benedict. I think it had great flavor and good chunks of crab, shrimp and scallops. The hollandaise sauce was a little thin for my preference but the flavor was great. We had two different servers help us which was a little different and I think that might have contributed to not being able to order the second latte. The owner also came by to check in on us which was nice. Towards the end I noticed that they were waiting for us to leave to seat another party. While they didn't directly or obviously rush us, both my friend and I felt the pressure. But overall, we enjoyed our visit and plan to visit again to try the dinner menu and drinks. Fair pricing too! The bill came out to $54 before tip for all of the food.

Our waitress, Diana, was fantastic. ....and that's where it ended. Cons: -Made the egg breakfast burrito with no eggs. Sent back...no eggs again. -Asked for Prosciutto on avocado toast. No Prosciutto. Still charged $6. -There was a strange man hovering. Like a lot. To the point I almost stood up to ask if there was an issue but then he cleared a dish. Ok? -Then at the end, while waiting for our check, a little man ran over to the hovering man and awkwardly told him we were there too long and he needed to get us to go because people were waiting. Cool. I'm still waiting for the check but go off, small sir. -Food quality was meh Pros: -Diana -Bottomless mimosas. -Thats it. That's the list. Definitely won't be back. Other spots have bottomless mimosas but sadly no, Diana. We'll live.

Brunch on Sunday - they were out of milk at 11:30 am Orders were brought out wrong (burrito instead of omelet)and avocado toast was missing the arugula salad it was supposed to be topped with. Water requested was not brought til after several reminders. Location on water is great but kitchen needs to step up

Jesus.... This was one of the worst experiences I've had dining out. First of all, the website said they were closed. I had a feeling that was inaccurate due to its location and the fact that it was Waterfire. I made a reservation on OpenTable. We were running late so I called to let them know. To my surprise, they don't take reservations on a Waterfire night, which isn't indicated A N Y W H E R E on their website. We decided to go anyway. We get there and it's a bunch of people running around like chickens with their heads cut off for a minimally busy restaurant. It made no sense. We were seated. Ordered drinks and rudely barked at by the insufferably rude lady behind the bar that they were out of mint and she wouldn't make mojitos because "a good one takes 11 minutes to make," and that would essentially be a waste of her time. We got cups the equivalent of those cups you have in the bathroom to rinse your mouth out after brushing your teeth, which we were charged $12+ for and most of it was ice. The food was a disgrace. FOUR options, not indicated on the website that it was an "event night". $20+ for food that would've been tastier out of a dumpster. Then they had the audacity to charge us a gratuity of almost $30 because it was an event night. On our bill it said there were 6 guests, there were four of us. Nowhere on their website or the receipt did it indicate that that was their policy. This place is a scam run by shady individuals who cheat people out of money and a bartender who had the personality of a moldy cactus. Absolutely horrible. Will not be back and I will be sure to tell others.

I'm so disappointed. The expectation was so much higher than the reality. Firstly, the great location is superseded by the poor and ineffective service, food quality and leadership. The good: Aaron (manager). He worked hard even though being yelled at repeatedly by the owners in the midst of dinner service. Embarrassing for him and the patrons who could overhear. Aaron was handcuffed by lack of staffing on a busy Waterfire night, horrible food quality coming out of the kitchen and guests that became more and more impatient when reservations were not honored and table service was non-existing. We saw no less than two tables get up and walk out and Arron having to comp meals because of poor quality. The owners really have no clue how to properly run an effective restaurant operation. Here's a few examples: We got seated (outside patio) and had to get a towel to wipe off our seats b/c they were covered in water. Then our waitress came over about 15 min later later (no exaggeration) and offered drinks. My girlfriend wanted an IPA. The waitress didn't know any IPA's they had (not even one) so she left and said she'd be back. She ended up going AWOL. I bumped into Arron 10 min later who told us the list of IPA's (Mind you we had now been at the restaurant for more than 20 min). At this point we also asked for waters. Finally we ordered. It had now been over a half hour before we could even place our order or get waters or get drinks. The food took another 45 min to arrive and it was absolutely horrible. I mean borderline inedible. We didn't want to send it back because of the wait we had experienced so nibbled. We figured maybe it was us that we were just having an off night but no, table after table (literally) had one issue or another. Some not paying, some canceling orders, others getting up and walking out when they had been waiting for 20 minutes without being approached. It's too bad too. The location is terrific. Even so, not worth the time wasted or the poor experience. Oh, and to top it all off my girlfriend ended up all night in the bathroom because of what we suspect was food poisoning from the chicken parm she nibbled at the night before. I don't write reviews very often and to write a negative one is really not in my usual makeup but this review is warranted if it could help another patron avoid this establishment.

I went to the bistro for brunch on a Sunday with friends and the food was so good. We sat outside by the water and enjoyed watching the ducks floating around. I got the blueberry lemon French toast, which melts in your mouth. They were so good. And my friend got the steak tips with the eggs Benedict. I tried a bite of the steak and it was as delicious.

Came for brunch on a Sunday morning. Very fast & friendly service! Super cute inside and a great view outside. I would definitely come back again!

Oh how I wanted to like this place! Cute little bistro on the riverfront. My coworker and I were visiting from out of town so we chose to sit outside to enjoy the great summer evening and ambiance of the waterfront. Server was super sweet and friendly. We ordered an iced tea, soda and two of the Flatbread pizzas. I so wish I had taken a picture of my 'iced tea". It was literally a glass of water with ice and a Lipton teabag. And the teabag was not even a cold brew teabag! I almost laughed out loud when it was placed in front of me. And... they charged me $3.95 I believe for that. The soda was $3.50 (??!!) The flatbread... my Co worker said the chicken on hers didn't taste right so she picked it off. Nobody wants to risk food poisoning on a business trip! Mine was just OK. Nothing to write home about. The portions were large but that's about all I can say about it. This experience has still left me wondering.. do they just not drink iced tea in Rhode Island? I will forever remember the time I was served a glass of ice water with a tea bag and charged $3.95 for it.

Don't go here. Period. Don't. So many great restaurants that are always consistent in Providence and this one is Russian roulette with your meal. First, the only positive that earns them one star. The wait staff was very nice, attentive and were doing their best. They were put in an awkward position and I hope they find a job at a much better restaurant. Somebody working in the back needs to move onto a different career. I agree with many of the other reviews. It's the only restaurant that can't seem to keep their inventory in. When we arrived two hours before closing, they told us they were already out of steak and home fries. Fine. A few of us ordered burgers. They came back and asked what temperature. Then they came back and said totally out of burgers as well. So we quickly ordered scrambled eggs, and an omelette. Hard to believe they came out of the same kitchen. The scrambled eggs were little rubber balls that you might find at a really greasy hole in the wall, where some kid is cooking. Conversely, the omelette wasn't even cooked and when you cut it open, runny egg spilled out all over the plate. Our salad never came. And beware, the bill already has a 20% tip built-in. So we basically paid $84 to sit in their chairs near the river. Hopefully, someone gets fired, they revamp this place because it's got an amazing view of the river.

Went with a few friends during water fire. They have outdoor dining right on the water whaich was were we sat. The waiter was extremely nice, my husband and I each had the sausage, meatball and Pasta dish and it was delicious. We all stayed for awhile and had drinks and got to meet the owners who were extremely friendly. We had a great time and will definitely be going back.

Amazing service, friendly and attentive staff. Wonderful place for drinks and appetizers, with a wide selection of food and drink. The restaurant is clean, with an open concept and modern decor, augmented by the beautiful view of the river. I plan to come back soon!

The food is amazing, especially the chicken Parm and the stuffed mushrooms. Service Is better than prior ownership and attentive. Great view of the river was a great night.

We made an early reservation by phone for last Saturday night. We were not told that the menu was limited to about 6 items, none of which worked for us. Had we known that the menu was not what was shown online and was so limited, we would have gone elsewhere.

Delicious Brunch. The martinis were sooo good and the wait staff were awesome and friendly. Would def come back.

Very disappointing. Waited 30 min for a drink order. Pancake was undercooked and raw. Everything was just chaotic and they seemed very understaffed. Management is very poor. Would not recommend. ​

Nice night at the River Bistro. Beautiful location with a charming atmosphere. Food selection was great and so were the drinks. The staff was warm and welcoming.

Their reservation link on their website is "no longer in use" according to one of their employees yet it is still the only method other than calling. Horrible service when calling to confirm this reservation. They have yet to change an error that will ruin many people's plans especially Mother's Day. I highly advise against going here.

Took our reservation. Did not save a table for us. Stood outside in the cold, waiting for a table, then they sat another party whose reservation was after ours. Told us we would still have to wait for a table.

Made a reservation and had it confirmed. Showed the hostess the confirmation and she told me that they weren't taking reservations anymore. Even though I showed the confirmation to her. Stupidity at its finest. We had to be seated at the bar when there were 6 open tables the entire time we were there.

Very small, if the are busy and you can not find you code for your reservation you will be told to leave just like that. They will open the door for you. Do not expect them to look it up by name which they can do but just choose not to. Not handicapped accessible as you have a lot of stairs to get down. The person next to me had lettuce with dressing as a salad. You are sitting on top of people and if someone gets up from the bar there goes the table. I do not need to be smothered. I like a little elbow room when I eat, the staff is frazzled and can not handle the heat. There are plenty of good restaurants in providence. Unfortunately this is not worth it. The owners do not care how people are treated and make no apology's for it.

Me and my wife stopped in for her birthday, from the moment we walked in the door i knew it was going to be a great experience. The staff was beyond friendly and attentive, the food was AMAZING along with the service and drinks. We were seated at a table with a beautiful view and the atmosphere was so nice , we couldn't have asked for a better night. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a total package of a night.

I retracted my review earlier because I felt guilty but honestly I'm so upset and angry that I am back. The service here is absolutely FOUL!!!!! FOUL FOUL FOUL!!!!! Are you able to give a place O stars? Me and my family came here for Mother's Day as we had a reservation. When we showed up to our reservation the man told me where our table was and had me seat my family. We sat down and didn't have menus for quite some time. Our waitress was incompetent and made me question whether or not you should have a degree in waitressing to do the job (I am a waitress). We waited an hour and a half for our food before we decided to just leave because our food was nowhere near ready. When we got up and left, the manager looked happy. This was clearly because our food was nowhere near ready even though they told us it was coming up. This place is foul. We were not the only ones in there with the same shit experience. People were getting up and leaving, complaining, recieving the wrong meal, waiting hours for food, cramming into a small little table in the corner when they made a reservation for a large amount of people. If you can't handle a full restaurant (there are about 10 tables in there) then don't take reservations. Or honestly just close down. We had Mother's Day brunch at Panera which is just so disappointing and I'm so sad for my mom. That is why I am writing this review. Please please please don't make a reservation w them for any important occasion or you will be very disappointed.

I went for brunch and the food was pretty good. I felt like the big guy at the front was watching me the whole time which wasn't the greatest but overall the staff were fine. The bartender whose name I didn't catch was very nice and made me one of the best espresso martinis I've had. I'd definitely recommend trying it out if you're in the area.

10/10 across the board - great to meet the owners and experience a wonderful brunch catching up with friends

went to Providence for a midweek concert and wanted to eat somewhere other than a chain. We gave this place a try and are glad we did. The food was exceptional and the service was outstanding. While no restaurants are cheap anymore, I found this place to be more reasonably priced than most. I would highly recommend giving The River bistro a shot if you are in town.

worst service I have ever experinced. extremely rude staff and the food takes over an hour to come out. terrible . dont go here, if I could give this place negative stars , I would .
