The Hottest New Brunches to Try in D.C.

"Dreamy, pink-filled River Club rolled out brunch in October, with a diverse menu of dishes combining Lebanese, Italian, and Spanish flavors. In March, the bar up front added walk-in service and a three-course brunch menu for $35 (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.) that includes a trio of mini cocktails for an extra $20, like a seasonal apricot Bellini. Other brunch standouts offered around the dining room include rosewater and za’atar croissants, papas bravas topped with eggs and shaved jamón ibérico, and big shared platters like the Lebanese breakfast that comes with everything to build your own ground lamb, falafel, and egg-filled pitas." - Tierney Plumb, Emily Venezky

This place went through a total transformation in the past couple years with new ownership and tons of improvements. Reviews more than 2 years old are not applicable. My wife and I switched to this club from another and are so glad we did. The adult pool, pickle ball courts, everything, are new and fun. The staff are doing a great job with programming for everyone, not just people with little kids. I'm not a golfer and we did not get a golf membership, so the dues are very reasonable. That said, people who golf here say they enjoy it and it looks like the golf course is well loved. There's nothing like River Club in Boise. I'm very glad they went through the transition over the past couple years.

The upgrades they did recently inside are spectacular!

Incredible golf course. Just became a member last week and so very impressed with the staff and members. Everyone is super friendly! New owner is putting some hard work back into the place. Very excited to be a part of this club! 😁

Honestly, it’s the best club in town. We paid major bucks to belong to Spurwing and every time found ourselves back at TRC. The food is superior. The people are not stuck up. The management is awesome, and the ownership is committed to making it the best club in town. Without question the highlight of my time in Boise.

I golfed with a club member on 10/23/13 and it was fabulous! The greens were in perfect condition and the fairways were unbelievably green and carpet-like. Great experience. Of course the 70 degree fall day couldn't have been any better.

Very good service in all aspects and a great value when compared to other country clubs. Every employee I have dealt with has been exceptional. They go out of their way to make sure the members enjoy the time they spend there.

Great golf. Great pace of play. It's been about 10 years since last time and the course is in great shape. Cant wait to play in the Laurel Richter first annual golf tourney on Monday, July 24th.

Yelp
At a Christmas party and for a double drink they charged $32.00. That was shocking and ridiculously expensive. Food was so underwhelming. Chicken extremely dry, steak was ok, beans cold. Would not go back on purpose. It's beautiful and inviting. They've done a great job with remodel. Wish the kitchen food matched the look.

Yelp
The new owners are doing an excellent job at redecorating. The pool is fun for the whole family. There are activities for everyone it's not just a golf course or a clubhouse. The food is excellent and the staff is friendly and professional. The cleanliness is impeccable. The atmosphere is elegant and casual. It's not just a good time it's a great experience each visit.

Yelp
Very excited to be a member of this club. My wife and I recently moved to Boise within the last year and were looking for a place to golf... We're blessed with much more than that with PCC. Incredible golf course, friendly staff, and amazing members! This course is great if you love to golf, sit by the pool, or enjoy a drink at the bar. New owners are making this place look AMAZING. Plus a new workout room?!? I am super excited to be apart of this club.

Yelp
Service to the members can be suspect at best sometimes. I will be cancelling my membership over the treatment received while paying thousands of dollars over the year

Yelp
A fitness membership gives you access to the pool and tennis courts. Golf memberships are more $. You need to spend $30/month on food or you lose it. Food service starts at 2pm. So swim a few laps and then enjoy a delicious homemade Jalapeno Fennel Meatloaf. And after re-hydrating with huge Styrofoam cups of water (or bring your own re-usable cup or water bottle to spare the planet) and ice-tea, check out cans of brew like Ranger.

Yelp
The food tastes very bland and pre-prepared. Straight from the freezer or can. The staff is pleasant and friendly, but slow. The Alfredo sauce contains large uncooked chunks of garlic, about one third of a garlic clove each. The burgers are tasteless and the steaks are among the worst I have eaten.
