Google
This farmer's market is "just right" in size - not too big, but big enough to have all the offerings you would want. We had beautiful weather and wound up grazing our way from one end to the other and back. The products were excellent and flavorful. The vendors were friendly and talkative about their products. Definitely a great way to spend a relaxing morning.

Google
Love farmers market, lots of varieties of vendors selling different produces, beverages, kettle corns, beef jerseys, nut and etc. Although prices are more expensive than the stores but support mom and pop shops. Saturday, meter parking is free!

Google
Could you please post on your website stating you do not allow dogs? As of 2015 CA state law changed to permit pets in open air food markets. If you are departing from state law, a statement on your website is a reasonable expectation. Also it's a little excessive having someone in a yellow vest patrol for dogs. This person instigated a vendor to run almost into me to cause my 8lb Chion to bark. Then this individual (hired by riverside i presume) said the market did not allow dogs. The entire experience has a left a bitter taste in my mouth, particularly since I looked on your website to check that pets (aka my 8lb Chion) would be allowed. I'm unlikely to attend this event in the future and will share my experience. Update: this is an example from a different farmers market that clearly stated their pet policy.

I visited this market last Saturday. I bought all my veggies at one place. They had varieties & everything at $ 2. I was so happy. Last year i went but things were too expensive. I had senior vouchers. I only got a handful for $ 50. Saturday for $30 i had so much that i did not use all my vouchers. And everything was so fresh.

Google
Only place to get my sushi grade salmon and tuna in downtown Riverside. Also meat bones, fresh beef for my pho and sushi. It's a small fair but a wide variety of foods....stop at Lou's spice booth for some awesome premixed spices by Lou himself. A different day I got sand dabs, beautiful carrots for roasting, and fingerling potatoes

Fantastic to visit on a Saturday. A lot of vendors with great products

Yelp
Every Saturday, rain or shine the Riverside farmers market takes over the downtown area on Main Street between fifth & sixth ave. Bright and early ready to share their fresh baked breads, fresh fruits and vegetable, whole chicken, eggs (with the fresh orange yolks) flowers, honey, tamales, hummus dips and cheeses. As the years have gone by additional vendors have joined this town staple. Great to see it expanding down to the convention center. Parking is limited to surrounding sidewalks. Theres a parking structure off market next to the food lab if you find yourself circling one too many times. All the vendors are wonderful people I love supporting all of their hard work throughout the year to supply the freshest ingredients and products. A local spot to enjoy your Saturday morning stroll.

Yelp
The Riverside Farmers Market is what makes my Saturday mornings, when I feel like being up early Parking: it's a little tricky sometimes to find parking, depending on the amount of visitors. I have had to park a little further away before and it's honestly not my favorite, especially in downtown. Selection: Gorgeous produce and unique products! All coming from local vendors, so kudos for community inclusion! These heirloom tomatoes were soo rich and tasty. I'm

Yelp
Had a pleasant stay in Downtown Riverside and it was topped off with a cute little farmers market right out side of our hotel! We walked about and grab lots of fresh baked breads, some honeycomb to snack on for an energy boost, coffee to go and some nuts for the ride. While we would have loved the fresh fruits and veggies along with flowers the travel home would have spoiled them. Make a stop if you're in the area and support the vendors.
google avatar

Liz S.

Yelp
Be warned no dogs are allowed unless they're service animals. We were told as soon as we arrived with our little pup (on a leash). We could only walk on the sidewalk which means completely behind the stands defeating the purpose and ruining our Saturday morning plan to explore this market.

Yelp
I go for the fresh eggs, they are reasonably priced and I'm never disappointed shopping for fresh produce.
google avatar

Mary P.

Yelp
It good but need more vendors though! Will return soon! Fresh flowers lasted a long time! Tamale guy was good! Fruit vegetables were great!
google avatar

Alicia G.

Yelp
This has been one of the biggest Farmers Markets I've been to and we definitely enjoyed it! A great selection of produce. Great ambiance and delicious food.

Thandy S.

Yelp
Always great to go support our local farmers and businesses! Can find good quality and it's nice when they have live music as well. People are always very friendly.
google avatar

Kim B.

Yelp
One city block long. The garments market has several vendors offering fruit and a few vegetables. The flower stand has bright bouquets. There is a plant vendor with a good selection of reasonably priced succulents. There are a few food vendors; desserts and breads. No farmers market would be complete without kettle corn, so you should find everything you need here.

Yelp
My husband and I were looking forward to revisiting this farmers market after not going for a couple years due to Covid and such. We enjoyed the ambiance and beautiful sunshine, however, there were not too many vendors, as we had hoped. The prices of fresh fruit and vegetables were very high. I bought some sprouts that were tasty. Only enough for a couple of sandwiches. The cost was $6 for a andful of sprouts! Maybe 1 cup! Ridiculous. All the prices at each vendor were ridiculous. Then we bought some other things at another vendor, (onions and fennil) and had sticker shock again. Went to a fresh herb place and couldn't find anything I wanted. I needed pepper and garlic but they didn't have pepper. The prices again were very high. We finally just shook our heads and left. We were disappointed and hope there may be a resurgence of more vendors, more variety, and also much better prices and more buys. I do not have any desire to go again, except for the nice outdoor music and blue sky days. P.S. the fresh flowers and tamales looked great and deserve a shout out.

Yelp
Actually, there is a second Farmers Market next to or you might all it behind the county building on Lemon every Wednesday also. Its smaller but they have the same great stuff.
google avatar

Hamilton G.

Yelp
Clean, natural, no hormones, no MSG, no GMO, certified organic farmer's market...what else can I say!? Great place to get yourself some good products when in the area. I came here on Wednesday, there are about 15 or so vendors, kettle corn, nuts, fruit, breads, desserts, veggies, tamales, pupusas, and more! At noon, all the workers are here getting their lunch, lines can be a little long at the food vendors. Everyone is nice, come out and enjoy yourself! I normally come here for lunch when I'm in the area, I get the veggie burrito from Deliziosa's Pupusas, really great burrito, and their platanos fritos and beans are excellent too. I do recommend this place!
google avatar

Dyanna C.

Yelp
Adorable little spot! Customer service was great and talked us through getting there since they moved locations about a street down. I got there a little late so some of the vendors may have already packed up for the day, but I was still able to get some emerald plums, some greens, blueberry lemonade, a couple wonderful indulgent pastries, and a pretty flower bouquet. Definitely recommend going early in the morning to beat the Riverside heat.
google avatar

Paul S.

Yelp
Generally speaking, the sellers here have been coming for quite some time. I enjoy comparison shopping before committing. At times I think haggling might be wise as at least one produce vendor is noticeably more than the others. I have bought herbs, honey, spices, flowers, meat and eggs, bread and pita, hummus, and of course fruit and vegetables. I recommend going early in warm months, your produce will look better and survive the drive home. Carry at least $40 cash as only a few sellers accept credit cards.

Ray D.

Yelp
There are not enough vendors to make it worth a half hour trip down. Although the produced looked fresh they were all showing the same produce.
google avatar

Amy J.

Yelp
First time to this farmer's market this morning, and I loved it! I wish it was bigger, but still a great time with a wide selection of goods. Highly recommend buying a tamale from the Tamale Guy! It's $5 for 2, $14 for a half dozen. After I ate them (Carnitas and chicken), I wish I had bought more! I also picked up some guacamole, Riverside wild flower honey, and Cranberry Orange sweet bread from a variety of other vendors. I will definitely be returning soon. Also, everyone was wearing masks and socially distanced, so I felt completely safe there.
google avatar

Esther D.

Yelp
Open on Saturday mornings, it's not very big but has some nice offerings. Fruit, vegetables , nuts, eggs, flowers, plants, breads...it's worth a visit. I wish it was bigger, & the prices are a bit high, but I still like it.

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Really over priced fruit but cute and safe environment. You'll find varies of food stands of local produce. Fruit was delicious I bought plums, cucumbers, and some micro greens. Wanted some fresh flowers but ended up getting some fresh eucalyptus that's currently hanging in my shower 8 buck for a good bunch.
google avatar

Emily S.

Yelp
I love this market! While it's not the biggest or most diverse farmer's market I've ever been to, I love that Riverside has this market on Saturdays. I used to live in Seattle, which is like the Mecca of farmer's markets so being in Riverside now, I'll take what I can get! Don't let the size fool you however, there are great people here selling delicious stuff! You MUST check out Mom's Specialty Foods for the hummus. Seriously, the best I've ever had. Lately the strawberries have also been quite good. The only downside to some of the produce is if you're there late in the day and it's been sitting in the sun for a while it starts to look a little sad. Go early to get the good stuff!
google avatar

Yelp
Pros: Great location to get fresh fruits and vegetables. Unlike any other farmers market, you can really enjoy the scenery from the classic downtown and Mission Inn Hotel while buying your produce. Cons: Wish it was a bigger farmers market. Suggestion: If the city of Riverside is trying to make a modern, innovative downtown...why not have a fabulous night farmers market. -Examples: Palms Springs has a fabulous night farmers market on Thursdays. My husband and I have been going for years. At first it was small but over time it has grown tremendously. With live music, local art, small businesses and farmers with fresh produce plus restaurants all around...my husband and I find ourselves driving down very frequently. Concussion: Riverside can have an outstanding farmers market that would not only draw the attention of locals but people from all over. Just look at how many people come for the Festival of Lights! At least one day out of the month would be fantastic. Come On Riverside You can do this!!! :)

Yelp
Very small and lacking in character. It seemed a bit sterile for a Farmer's Market. It was very modern and modular in setup, which is something that I am not looking for in a Farmer's Market. Just two rows of facing identical booths. The produce that was there was great. There was no cheese when I went, which was unfortunate as I was looking forward to that after reading the other review. There were very few people in attendance while I was there. They have two sections: Certified Organic and Non-certified Organic. The bulk of the booths are Certified Organic. I bought some turnips, asparagus, quail eggs, carrots, and some red lettuce. Be sure to shop around between the vendors as the prices do vary between them. I will surely be back to the Riverside Farmer's Market for the fresh produce, but the Redland's Market Night has a much more lively feel and a little bit of the character that I partly go to a farmers market to enjoy.

Yelp
I have been going to the Riverside Farmer's Market for years, and they never disappoint. They have a good variety of fruits and vegetables, and have artisan bread, mediterranean (baklava, hummus, pita bread, tzatziki, tabbouleh), olive oil, cheese, beef, chicken, egg, flower, soap, and plant vendors. They have everything! I took off one star just because I've been to other markets, and wish that Riverside had more vendors with more exotic fruits and vegetables. I love this market because it's all about the food, and not about craft vendors. Overall I love them, and do get cranky if I can't make it for a week.
google avatar

Leeanna C.

Yelp
It's a pretty small farmers market but it is nice to go to. The honey stick guy and the spice guy here are the main reason I go. It's nice to get down here on a Saturday. Other than that, the other vendors sell organic products that are in season, so they all kind of have the same produce.
google avatar

Oulie T.

Yelp
4stars because it's so small. But u can still do plenty of damage to ur wallets with the vendors here. I LOVE picking up local orange blossom honey here. It's scrumptious and good for my allergies. Today I picked up some purple potatoes, Yukon gold potatoes, weird but delicious Korean melon the vendor let us sample and some Chinese broccoli and water spinach. Exotic Fruits and Veggies in Riverside.
google avatar

Rin C.

Yelp
The location is good, parking is easy. Fresh vegetables/eggs/fruits but little pricey I felt. The ambience is not bad, can be more lively with music or something?
google avatar

Sandy E.

Yelp
I am a total farmers market fanatic. I think it's so much fun to sample and buy hot, fresh meals to eat while perusing more great eats (hummus, fruit, breads, oysters, anyone?). This did not impress me so much because it was fairly small and they didn't have ready to eat meals for sale. They weren't too generous with the sampling either. You gotta give some to get some in the food world! (read: Costco) They could up the ante with a tamale stand, pulled pork sandwich booth, and sliced stone fruit. My favorite part was the floral booth. This place had so many happy, colorful flowers! Will definitely be back to buy a bouquet.
google avatar

Monica S.

Yelp
FYI Dogs are only allowed on the sidewalks even if they are well behaved and just walking in the middle away from the shops. You can't really shop from the sidewalk.
google avatar

Suzie C.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite farmer's markets it has a fairy large variety of vendors to choose from. Great produce, local honey, bee pollen, eggs and fresh cut flowers. A few of our favorite must buys are tamales for breakfast from the Tamale Guy, breads from Old Town Baking and tabouleh, serrano feta hummus and mutabbal from Mom's Specialty Foods. I left with a pretty good haul of honey and bee pollen, yummy fresh breads and tasty dips for this weeks meals.
google avatar

Priscilla V.

Yelp
It is quite small compared to other farmer markets. They have a range of organic fruits and vegetables. It is pretty good considering that its in Riverside.
google avatar

Arena R.

Yelp
lots of good food. Korean, Indian, Mexican, American, Ethiopian & more. Its like an explosion of flavor in the non-diverse city of Redlands :) The fruit & veggies are always fresh and the music talent is nice.
google avatar

Sharon G.

Yelp
Yaaaaaaaas! Farmer's Markets are my heaven. I love local and handmade products, and that is all that they have at the Downtown Riverside Farmers Market. This is one of the best ones in Riverside, it's not crazy huge but it's got all the basics: ultra fresh produce grown near by, baked goods, hand-made soaps, fresh produce, aaand fresh produce. It is in a fantastic area, right next door to the Mission Inn. So, if you're feeling like a pastry and coffee, or if you want to walk off that breakfast you just had, this is a great place to do it. I'm a little sad that it's only on Saturday mornings (and shuts down ~noon) but the quality is top notch and the vendors are so incredibly friendly! So if you're wanting to walk around on a Saturday morning, definitely check this place out!!
google avatar

Amanda L.

Yelp
This place is great for new mothers venturing out with their babies for the first time! It is small, but has very attentive vendors, who take the time to figure out exactly what you are looking for. I left feeling confident with my purchases and made a five star dinner with the fresh veggies I brought.
google avatar

Robin B.

Yelp
Beautiful veggies, flowers, nuts, fruits, and baked goods. Not too crowded and vendors were kind and sociable!
google avatar

Jael S.

Yelp
I saw the market really quick because it is rather small but it does have really cute vendors items.

Yelp
If it's a Saturday morning and you have nothing to do, make your way down to this farmer's market. I go nearly every weekend, particularly in spring and summer, and buy a great deal of items from this place. My favorite is the "Sage Farms" organic stand, where they have some of the best strawberries and chocolate tomatoes I've ever had the privilege of tasting. In addition, their beef jerky is grass fed and also really good. For meat, I'd suggest the fish stand for fresh and flavorful seafood. I've had their John Dory filets (perfect in tacos or breaded), their wild caught salmon, the black sea bass, and the smoked salmon. All of these were fantastic. The oysters are apparently pretty good too, but I don't tend to be an oyster fan. It's hard to find better seafood than this in Riverside. Trying to stay cage free and organic in relation to your chicken? This place also has farm fresh eggs and chicken breasts for really decent prices. I pay a little more than I'd pay at the grocery store for something non-organic, but the taste, the color, and the consistency of the chicken is far superior to that you can pick up at the grocery store. I only buy my chicken breasts here, and will continue to do so for as long as they will stay open. The honey stand, the apple stand (when in season), the array of greek food, and the bakery are also worth trying. This place really is a food-lovers dream! PS- When done head to Simple Simons Bakery down the street. They have the best sandwiches!

Yelp
Since this farmers market has started I have been a loyal and frequent shopper. I have enjoyed seeing it change and evolve over the years. I prefer this farmers market for a few reasons. One, its downtown which offers charming surroundings, a clean environment, and its less than 2 miles from my house. I also like the long hours, 8am to 1pm gives you plenty of time to get out of bed and get down there to shop. I have also always had good and friendly experiences with the vendors. There is always a good selection of fruits and veggies, fresh baked breads, farm fresh eggs and chicken, and local honey. I also always pick up a bunch of flowers and fresh potted herbs. Now for the negatives: Due to the overly strict health department, dogs are not allowed. Now this isn't the markets fault, except I was practically verbally harassed by a vendor the one time I accidentally brought my dog. He was so rude, loud and aggressive and since then, I have always held it against the market. Also, you can not really be sure what produce is "locally grown" versus what produce is purchased from the LA produce market earlier that morning. I have seen one too many "Sunkist" boxes being unpacked for me to believe that all the produce is locally grown. So, I look for the signs that indicate to me that the food is organic, locally grown or sustainable. I wish the city would only allow "real" farmers to sell. I really hope the market continues to grow and expand over the years. Don't forget your reusable bags!
google avatar

Chrissy P.

Yelp
I just moved into town and I LOVED this Farmers market!! I got delicious berries, fresh local wildflower honey, sunflowers, and spices! Vendors were very friendly. Can't wait to go back next week!

Yelp
One of the best things to do on a Wednesday afternoon is browsing through the Farmer's Market. From food to clothing and arts and crafts, you'll find plenty of jewels here. Also enjoy some live entertainment near the food stations on the south end. Good eats: Tri-tip sandwich Pineapple smoothie BBQ chicken
google avatar

Danny C.

Yelp
Not a bad way to spend an hour in downtown Riverside on Saturday afternoon. Prices are definitely on the higher side, and variety is low, but if you want to stroll around for a bit, sample and buy some produce, get some fish/meat/eggs/hummus, go ahead. On a day that's not overly hot, the farmer's market and surrounding little stores are a great way to get lost for a couple of hours. You're not going to find stand after stand of $1/bunch lettuce heads; in fact, you probably won't even find one, but it's a fun way to spend some time.
google avatar

Nyeland N.

Yelp
One of the best in Southern California. Amazing produce from really helpful farmers, not produce brokers (for example, you will not find bananas or other things not grown in Cali) No face painting, Kettle corn, or country crafts, which for me is a big plus.
google avatar

Summers T.

Yelp
Love hitting this market up on Saturdays. Its next to the Mission Inn so it's in a nice area to walk around and grab a bite for lunch as well. Parking is always fairly simple as the dinner crowds that show up at this part of town at night aren't out yet. Plus all the metered parking is free on weekends yay! As you walk up your almost always greeted with some sort off live music. Folk and jam bands type of stuff. Vendors seem to be the same every week for the most part. Lots of them selling local produce. A local fresh goat cheese stand, yum. Local honey, the couple that run this stand are very kind and helpful! A special shout out to them because they are always willing to answer my beekeeping questions, being a new beekeeper myself that rocks! Moms food co. That sells hummus....OMG I can't even describe how much I LOVE their products. 3 items for 10$ you can't go wrong. Best hummus ever, period. Chicken/egg guy. Before we started keeping chickens we bought eggs from him every week. They are large and tasty. The fresh NEVER FROZEN whole chickens are a great deal. Free range no hormones, much cheaper than you will pay at Sprouts for that type of meat. My final favourite is probably the fresh flowers stand. Buckets full of beautiful nice smelling fresh cut flowers all for 5$ a bunch. My hubs is wonderful and always buys me one so I cam have fresh flowers on my table. Love it! Definitely worth checking out once if you have never been!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm a locavore!! There I said it! Well, I try to be at least. I love the concept of the farmer's market, buying food locally and organically grown and supporting local agriculture. And this one is nice and clean, with a decent selection of veggies and a few unique items. The prices are very reasonable, and I can get a week's worth of produce, some fresh flowers and organic chicken and eggs for about forty bucks. Not bad in my opinion. It does lack a bit in personality, but the setting is beautiful. I only wish there was a larger variety of unique organic products, particularly cheeses, oils, etc. It could use some improvement, but its well worth the trip.
google avatar

Lady B.

Yelp
I was in the area for something else, so I walked the 20 or so tents lining the small street. I DO want to support local businesses. I really really do... Buuuuuuut............ My overall impression? Mehhhh...... At least this one had a little fruit unlike the one in the Sears parking lot. Citrus and strawberries. They also had dates (the fruit, not the love stuff lmao), small potted plants (maybe herbs? Not sure), veggies, brown eggs, cheese, soap and that's about all. But IS it sweet, tree/vine ripened fruit ........ OR picked-too-early, looks great but tastes like crap, overflow fruit they got from ConAgra like you get at Vons??? Help me here Yelpers, I'm not sure, I did not taste it. A bunch of flowers for $5 looked to be the most interesting thing. But meh.... One other Yelper said hers died instantly. Yikes! Pass. I dunno, I'm sure these folks work hard to set this stuff up, but I wasn't that impressed and didn't buy a thing. I did watch several people walking their dogs, and the dogs peed on the bushes a lot, and some bleach blonde who I think thought she was at the Mall or something???? She was wearing pants SO tight, you literally could hear the threads screaming for mercy (it was not a pretty sight my friends) so yah, that was about the highlight. lol...

Yelp
This is my favorite farmers market in the area because they stay true to the name, whereas others in the area are more of craft fairs. When I was a student at UCR, I would come here every Saturday to do my grocery shopping for fresh produce. All the vendors here are very nice and are willing to answer all your questions that you have. I never feel pressured to buy anything. Props to the vendors for finally having more samples. The prices here are decent and you can never go wrong when deciding to go to the chain grocery store or here. I do wish they had a bit more vendors though that sold prepped good so you can have something to eat after buying all that you need.
google avatar

Holly C.

Yelp
I'm not a farmer's market expert, but I really loved this location. We came at noon, and I was expecting everything to be packing up or gone and it wasn't. There was still pretty much full stock on everything except on some of the more popular veggie stands. First of all the location is awesome. Right next to the Mission Inn, free parking in Downtown on weekends, there's an awesome antiques store nearby if you wanted to go there before or after. The vendors were all extremely friendly to us as well. All in all I purchased baklava, hummus, Riverside raw honey, macaroons, a basket of cherry tomatoes, organic soap and a little succulent plant. I didn't any fruits and veggies other than the tomatoes. But there were many stands and the vendors were all offering samples. There is a large variety of plants and flowers. Potted and cut flowers. And there's little things like soaps, natural body products and stuff. I really enjoyed being there, but it's definitely personal preference depending on what you're looking for.

Yelp
Farmer's markets are always fun to walk through. Decent Saturday farmer's market, but definitely wouldn't claim that it's one of the best in so-cal! That's quite a statement to make of this tiny market with barely any vendors. I did notice the selection was limited and price kind of high. The produce did not seem as fresh as I'm used to either. If you want to experience a great farmer's market, make a trip to Santa Monica on a Wednesday morning at the 3rd street Promenade area. They have it on Saturdays too but on a smaller scale and slightly different vendors. Wednesday is way better, but only convenient for the locals.
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
This market is the best small market that I have been to for it's variety of fresh produce and food. Note that it is small, but you can get a large portion of your grocery shopping in here if you like to cook with local fresh produce (instead of processed, boxed, frozen, canned goods). Lettuce, avocados, red peppers, hummus, bread, cucumbers, onions, shallots, pears, tomatoes, potatoes, green onions, radishes, figs, strawberries, flowers, etc. are all products you should expect to find there this fall. Ride your bike, enjoy the weather, and support your local farmer!
google avatar

Jules H.

Yelp
I like the Riverside Farmer's Market because it's close to my house....but it doesn't really have anything spectacular. The market only takes up one block and has the usually fresh produce, olive oil, dates, bread, eggs, etc. Nothing really stands out about this farmer's market....but it's still a fun place to visit if you're looking for fresh produce. They always have the bread company from Rancho Cucamonga, but these guys are at every farmer's market in SoCal, so you don't need to go just for them. I'm part of a band that plays at this farmer's market every now and then. The guy who runs the farmer's market is really nice, but the businesses are extremely rude to us. :(
google avatar

Alana R.

Yelp
Although this farmers market is on the smaller side they have a great variety. The flower stand has fresh bunches of flowers for $5. The orange sunflowers I purchased from them lasted 2 weeks - which is rare. The tamale guy at the end has fresh delicious tamales. And there is always some type of band or musician playing. A great place to start your Saturday.
