The Roadhouse Bar & Grill

I had worked in the South Bay for about 5 years and drove by this place many times, not knowing it was an actual bar and grill. Some friends that were in town from Arizona knew about this place, and decided to make a night of it and invite me. The drinks were amazing, the food was phenomenal. What's not to like about a cool dive bar. And I use work dive bar with the utmost respect. I'll definitely be back.

I've been friends with Lisa the bartender on Thursday a.m. flyover 10yrs. Even if I didn't know her she is one of the best people I've ever met since I moved here. She is also one of the best bartenders I've ever seen and I've been to a lot of bars in a few states. Besides her service the breakfast we had was very good. I should have tipped the chef should have tipped the chef . Kudos to the owners for having Lisa and her coworkers make the customers happy.Thank you.

Cool bar, the food was good we had chili (beans) cheese fries, quesadilla, steak and eggs and steak and tater tots. The Roadhouse Margarita that the bartender Montana made was well made and definitely deserves a trip back. Oh and they serve breakfast all day

Come for the drinks stay for the food. Working across the street and getting out early in the morning. That stake and eggs just hits different.

I'm here on a project and this place was nearby. I popped in after work and I'm glad I did. The food is great, great drinks, and the best part is the staff and patrons. I've met some very nice people and they make me feel at home. The only thing I wish was better was the A/C ..I'm a spoiled Texan that needs his A/C.

Food I've been coming to this place for years and one thing I can guarantee is you will not be disappointed with there food I love everything I have tried there never disappoints. The pool tables initially brought me in, as they were recommended by some staff from another local bar. While the 50-cent games caught my attention, it's the great prices and excellent customer service that keep me coming back. Johnny (the bartender) is really cool and welcoming, the food and drinks are fantastic, and the local vibe is always on point. It's always a great time at The Roadhouse.

Pool tables ,darts, good food, good service , and it's kid friendly till 9pm We got the Irish nachos. They were good. We got buffalo beans. They were good fried zucchini was good. The hamburger was good. The hot sandwiches are amazing. Can't wait to go back.

Don't be discouraged by the outside. This is about the most relaxed, family-friendly bar you will ever come across. Quiet during the daytime and a bit boisterous in the evening, but always welcoming. Good vibes - and very good food as well!

Our service was very good. Waitress was friendly, upbeat and attentive. I ordered the ribeye steak, which I split with my wife. We both felt like it was tough, not tender. Baked potato was very good

I love this place. They have the best food! My coworkers and I go here for lunch on a regular basis. We love just about everything we have ever ordered. The people are friendly and the service is fast and efficient.

Do not come here. Treated us like pigs for being people of color (Hispanic, Black, Asian). Called beforehand and confirmed that we were able to come but kicked us out immediately.

We showed up and the lady came by to take our 2 beer orders almost immediately, and never came back after 15 min. I probably would have been prepared to wait for our food but didn't make it that far.

You can get country gravy on any breakfast burrito. Need you know more? Well ok, one of them comes with salsa inside. I didn't get that one. Can you get salsa, Spanish sauce and gravy on top? Does that break the takeout box it comes in? I'll have to go back to find out because this one was satisfying and filling. Vegetable scramble, biscuit and grits were all delicious too. Could've used some butter or cheese on the grits but I was so pleasantly surprised how not greasy everything was that this was not a big issue. Bonus for a great breakfast or brunch spot where there aren't lines. Door was a little confusing, maybe put a sign up to say call or knock to get your order? Great for staying outside and COVID safe!

Foods a hit or miss, most of the time miss and they are obviously racist. Wouldn't let me and my friends in for one of their 21st birthday for some made up excuse. We all had our IDs. Staff are rude and don't deserve business. Super small and cramped inside.

The food is bad and the service is exaggeratedly bad; they are racist I was the last person to be taken care of even if I arrived almost first, I felt horrible, I would never return.

This is not your regular hole-in-the wall establishment. This bar will have you wanting to come back every weekend! The service is pretty good overall but the highlight of my experience was the food and the drinks!! The drinks are hard, made strong and not for the faint at heart. I had the Stubborn Mule which is a vodka and ginger beer infused drink and it was bomb!! To eat I had the Fab Five which was also delicious. The highlight of the meal for me were the mozzarella sticks, they were sooo good!! If you're looking for a nice place to socialize with great drinks and a nice vibe, The Roadhouse is your place!

Nothing fancy, but wonderful food. We've picked up food many times and have always had a good meal. Sara usually rings us up; she is friendly and welcoming and makes sure our bag is packed just right, including any special requests. Love the home style and delicious food. The atmosphere is what you'd expect for a bar & grill, but the food is much better than you'd expect. Servers have been kind and efficient. Definitely recommend. We've been for breakfast, which is excellent and quiet. And dinner, which is crowded and noisy, which can be fun. But if you want it quieter, go early before the crowds.

"The Bartender Makes All The Difference" I was recently at The Roadhouse celebrating the promotion of one of my Aircraft Mechanics getting the Lead position. Just a few of the guys out having some drinks! The place doesn't look like much from outside, but when you get in there it looks like a nice little hangout. A few pool tables, darts, TV, a music box and plenty of seating, and it looked clean. It was early so it was pretty empty. There was this bartender by the name of Sara, very friendly and up beat, smiled and joked around plenty, just a great attitude. She kept conversation amongst the group, poured well and always made sure we had a full drink in front of us. The cost for food and drinks was very reasonable, I think I spent $100. I had a country breakfast which was pretty damn good and had something called "breakfast shot", few of those and a pickle back with a few 805's, all very good. I picked up the bill for some of the other guys as well so price was good. It's always nice to head out to somewhere you have great company in a nice spot and never hurts when the service is great on drinks and the foods pretty damn good! Thank you Sara for the kind hospitality and great service! Well be back soon!

Montana was amazing, the other bartender last night! This place is great, the crowd is super friendly, there's a covered outside area for smoking and all the bar games you could want. Will definitely be back, maybe even on a nightly basis. This is my fave new local spot

I've been twice to Roadhouse after work with some friends and had a bad experience both times. The first time I figured maybe the bartender Danielle was having a bad night because she was acting very rude and like being there was an inconvenience. I paid over $100 and left a big tip and made sure to tell her thank you to see if maybe it was just her having a bad night. The second time we ordered over $200 and the experience was actually worse. I'm pretty shocked at how rude the bartender and owner were. Not only did I get rolled eyes every time I ordered a drink but she closed out my tab without any communication whatsoever. I definitely won't be coming back.

Great food and a very fair pour on the drinks. Reasonably priced all around. Looking forward to our next visit.

Torrance Food Crawl #349 Roadhouse has an exterior that is emblematic of a dive bar, very plain (http://bit.ly/2M5G23h). It's been here for decades and has had only minor design improvements over the years. The food menu has a lot of choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, though the prices are little higher than I expected, definitely not "loss leaders" for the drinks. The Philly Cheese Steak sandwich (http://bit.ly/2li9CqZ) was served hot. The meat was a thicker slab than I've had in most Philly cheese sandwiches which usually have thinner sliced steak. The meat was good, but different, mainly because of the size. The melted cheese and onions were good, though the onions got lost in the cheese. A very thin pickle was on the side (1/8th of a pickle?) and a large mild jalapeño which was better received. French Fries are the standard side but you can substitute Onion Rings, which were slightly greasy but okay. (3/5) The service was good and for those looking for a drink the selection is typical of most bars.

Let's just say I come here fairly often. It's a great dive bar/restaurant with 2 pool tables and a jukebox. Love you Tim, Sara, John, and the crew.

The Roadhouse was amazing. My family of 6 ended up here after our car broke down and we waited for it to get fixed by Hermosa Automotive II (5-stars for them too). Not only was the food delicious, best Caesar salad my daughter has had, but the service was outstanding. The waitress was so understanding to our circumstance and went out of her way to make us feel relaxed. We were there for a few hours (waiting for the car to be fixed) and employees were so kind, even helping the kids with the pool and dart games. It made a stressful situation fun and relaxed and we did not mind the slight delay on our way to Santa Barbara. Would definitely come back again!

Love the atmosphere here! Plenty of space for large parties and the food is great! Service can be slow on Sunday football days, but that's pretty much everywhere you go!

My experience with the staff, that I keep reading about in the 1-star reviews, was no different than anyone's else's experience...TERRIBLE!! I was planning on trying this place out for lunch, as I had some errands to do in the area and figured I'd give this place a shot. I didn't even make it into the building, before having a horribly rude run-in with some frizzy-haired blonde woman who works there. I needed to pull my car down the alley that Roadhouse is backed up to (for one of my errands in the area) and one of the companies that the Roadhouse owners buy food/restock items from was parked in the middle of the alley. He should have parked to the left-side of the alley (closest to the Roadhouse back door where they were hauling items in through) so that other cars could pass by him on the right side of the alley. I advised him that I needed to pass by his car and asked if he could move it. He didn't speak english so he called the frizzy-haired witch outside. I advised her that I needed to get by and asked if she could please have him move his car over, so people could pass by (there are absolutely no reasons that he needed to block the entire alley.) She looks at me with the most obvious attitude look on her face and replied, "No, we're unloading right now, you can go around..." "Going around" means driving down the block and around the corner and then around another block again, it was not a convenient "go around" kinda setup. So, it's safe to say I did not eat at this trash establishment and will NEVER eat there. Don't be fooled by ANY of the 5-star reviews, those are regulars trying to make up for the REAL 1-star reviews on here. This place is a dump and, clearly, the employees that work here are the trash...

Terrible service in a dive that reminds one of a a sterile school cafeteria fronting as a bar. I'm a local and wanted to give this place a try after reading reviews. Lipstick on a pig. This dump vibes of an exclusive club where strangers are not welcome. It has about as much personality as the color beige. Don't waste your time and money. You'll have a better time in a bowling alley bar or an old folks home. This IS the worst bar in the South Bay.

Local spot with awesome food including breakfast and ice cold beer. Pretty tough to beat. Plus the staff is top notch

The name speaks for itself! A place off the side of the road that serves food and drinks. When I came here it was Halloween time and they had decorated the place. It was fun. The drinks get you there. Maybe next time I'll try some of the grub. Till then...Roadhouse!

Service is slow. Looks like they spend more time chatting with the locals than helping new customers. I mean yes have a chat with you usual customers but don't forget about the potential new returning customers. Also the kitchen is slow.

YEAH, this is THAT good a dive bar that it deserves all five stars from me. I need a pool table, reasonably priced drinks, a/c and decent food in a good hang out for me. I am visiting nearby and found it was only a five min walk. It looks small and dinky from the outside, but it's anything but that on the inside. TWO clean pool tables that are only $0. 50 to play. Right away I am happy. There are no bad spots to shoot the ball unlike a lot of other local Dives wear my cue stick is hitting a wall every other shot. They have darts, plenty of room for eating and then the bar area. The food is deLISH! They open early and serve breakfast, too. ( I recommend their breakfast burrito. ) And their drinks are TWICE the size you will get at any other bar for the same price! Seriously, I may have a new place to call home. I can't find one bad thing about this place. There is parking, super friendly staff, clean bathrooms... I could go on but my battery is about to die.

My favorite place to come for breakfast and a spicy bloody mary! The bartender is always really nice and quick with service. the breakfast (omelets and steak and eggs are usually what i get) and burgers are always amazing! their sweet potato fries and crispy onion rings are my favorite sides! would definitely recommend!

Not sure how so many good reviews are on here, but I didn't receive the best treatment as everyone on here. As I bought my beer I headed to the table with my friends I totally forgot the front door had swinging doors. Someone swing those doors opened and I dropped my beer. Yes I got all wet and get I dropped the glass on to my food which I cut my toe. The bard enter didn't give me napkins nor seemed concerned at all. As I got situated I went by the bar to inform them which they saw everything about my beer.... well they didn't want to give me another beer unless I paid for it. Wow! Never have I heard that. Also the person that dropped my beer also never heard that we were both mind blown with this and the service to someone getting hurt in your facility is poor. I wished things went differently.

A nice place to catch a game, play a little pool, and have some basic Americana food. I was there with a friend and we tried the Reuben and burger. Bother were OK, solid portions and reasonably priced, but not amazing. The cocktails were also fine, and reasonably priced. As a neighborhood dive bar, I would probably go back from time to time, especially if I wanted to get out of the house, have a drink and watch a game.

Concerned.... Heard from a paramedic about a place to get a lil' liquid courage in the AM lol so me and my co-worker headed her after a long night's work on a Friday morning. Definitely has a dive-bar feel. Its not a huge place at all but big enough. Pool table, jukebox, multiple TV's...I felt right at home. Sat at the bar and received a menu and a drink. The male bartender was really nice. Once my co-worker arrived we order a breakfast burrito, nachos and asian sesame wings. The nachos were ehh, he enjoyed his burrito but the wings...damn...they were nice lol. We ended running into two younger guys who kept playing old school 90's hip hop and another man who kept buying us rounds of pool ($0.50 per game). Between all that & March Madness, we spent several hours having a blast. So...why the concern... Well, when it came time to pay. The bartender walked over and said he needed our pin number.....HUH????!!!!!!!!!!!!! (mind you, I gave him my card to hold after the 2nd round figuring I would be there for awhile). When I asked him why, he stated "the machine doesn't reach around far enough".....HUH????!!!!! I eat out enough to know it should be a simple swipe and transaction for any machine. Immediately my buzz went away and I felt concerned. He said "we have an ATM if you'd like". I said hell yea. No way I give out my pin number I told him. Used the ATM, paid and left feeling a lil' weary. Now I look up and I have fraudulent charges on my account and that is the only place I used my card. Plus when I looked at my card after I found out I had money missing, it looked as if it almost was ran through a skimmer..... Im not blaming the place directly but that just seemed to odd for me...My best advice is to go here cash in hand ONLY!

As a long standing (normally sitting) customer, this bar has all you need! I have come in one morning at 6 am and stayed through all shifts, leaving at about 8 pm that day. Food is out of this world (in great way), drinks are awesome, staff is incredible and atmosphere/regulars are great people! This is my (along with many others') go-to establishment! Keep it up, RH Crew!!

Sooo this place is like a tailgate party with constant alcohol lol ... for as food goes you have to try the salmon burger yes the salmon burger.

I started work in the area a bit ago and was looking for a small place where I could relax on my lunch break. The Roadhouse was closest and I love a dive bar so I gave it a shot. I have not even tried another place since. The saloon doors are a happy surprise. The fish tacos on tuesdays are amazing, the prices are reasonable, parking isn't difficult and it isn't brightly lit like a chain. It has a super regular feel which is comfortable and I like hearing the familiar banter. I wouldn't call myself a regular by any means but it's really incredible when a gal who took care of me on my first visit, a week later - my second time seeing her in my life - remembered my exact order. I've never had an issue with service in the short amount of time I've spent there, and they always are very kind about packing my food to go so I can leave as soon as I need to even if I don't finish. Maybe it's best for those who don't have a bratty attitude, and I hope it stays that way.

I actually don't have anything bad to say about this spot ( well I did have a few so who knows) Last stop on our bar crawl the night before Halloween. So we came in and didn't feel out of place since half the crowd didn't have costumes on. I thought it was cute that they put our drinks in these kiddie Halloween cups. Still strong made :D I honestly didn't know what to expect with the crowd here, I assumed it would be uber whitey but I was wrong. This place (well for that particular evening,) it was a very diverse crowd. The DJ was good and the most important thing to me next to how my drinks are made, is the bathrooms. Super clean and I felt comfortable. I will be back !

Atmosphere is good. The new owners are doing a great job in trying to upgrade the best they can. New tables, painted the outside. It's a great lil spot to grab a bite and a good drink.

Great service! Awesome people! Best onion rings I've had since I made my own!!! The crinkle fries were delicious too! I had the Turkey Burger and enjoyed it thoroughly. It was a generous size and a perfect amount of mayo, lettuce, onion, and tomatoes. My husband had the regular cheeseburger and loved it! It was a perfectly cooked medium rare and loaded with onion, lettuce and tomato. Our son had the Western Bacon Cheeseburger and thought it was the best he'd had in years! This place is not close to us but it was so good I think we're going to have to come back! I especially want to try out some of their bar drinks and appetizers.

My coworkers and I frequent here often on Sunday. A great place for a quick drink or a full bender. Have always had a consistent good time. Shout out to Laura for always taking good care of us. Drinks are always good never watered down. Bartenders are attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is chill and never overbearingly loud even during big sporting events. The food is damn good. This ain't no typical bar food. Chef takes good care to make sure everything tastes bomb coming out that kitchen. The place is always clean.

I see this place all the time driving by and decided to come here for a night out to have drinks with my man. We come in, sit down, and after we didn't receive any type of greeting we figured we must have to go to the bar to get serviced. My date goes up to order drinks but is told that the bartender was in the "office". One would think that he would go and pull the bartender, but NOPE! We literally sat there for about 10 minutes with no acknowledgement and no drinks. We looked around and yet EVERYONE else had drink. I personally feel as though we were discriminated against. So guess what we did... of course we left. Sorry a** service and I will keep driving by and pay an establishment that has a bartender actually behind the bar.

The $12 pitchers of domestic would be a good deal if the only option wasn't bud light... - Overall the food is really good & fairly priced. - Homemade chili is excellent! - Large House Salad was generous & well priced. - Very good homemade potato salad, though just a little too creamy. - Steak & sauteed mushroom sandwich was delicious, but too small portioned. I would gladly pay more for a much larger version. Very easily this really good bar & grill could be a 5 Star classic old school place! I'll be back!
