The Roc Club is a peaceful, stylish hotel located just 30 minutes from central Athens in the beautiful seaside town of Vouliagmeni. We stayed in a spacious suite with a sea view and loved waking up to the calming sights and sounds of the town. The hotel’s design is modern yet cozy, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. One of the biggest perks is the location, you can easily walk to great restaurants, shops, and the beach. Compared to staying in the heart of Athens, we found this area to be far more relaxing and enjoyable. Plus, the included breakfast was fantastic, with a generous spread that changed daily. If you're looking for a more serene home base with easy access to the city, this is an excellent choice.

I absolutely love this hotel! The staff is incredibly friendly, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The decor is soothing and elegant, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Upon check-in, you’re greeted with a refreshing drink and delicious marzipan—a thoughtful and charming touch. My room was spacious, impeccably clean, and boasted a breathtaking sea view. While I didn’t dine at the hotel, I did enjoy some cocktails at the bar and pool area. The signature cocktail was absolutely outstanding—definitely a must-try! Overall, I had a fantastic stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Not a 5-Star Experience – Poor Communication and Service We had a very disappointing experience during our stay at ROC Hotel. First, we booked a sailing trip through the hotel. Despite a weather warning, we were not informed about any risks. The trip went ahead, and the very next day, Lake Vouliagmeni was closed due to the weather conditions, proving that the risks were serious. The fact that the hotel failed to communicate this to us was extremely irresponsible. Even worse, no one from management approached us afterward to discuss or apologize, which left us feeling that guest safety and well-being are not a true priority at this hotel. When the hotel finally proposed an alternative activity, it was poorly considered, offering a long afternoon trip to sites 2–3 hours away, which was simply not practical or thoughtful. We also found the breakfast experience well below 5-star standards, both for the quality and variety of the food and the service. I will spare some of the details 2nd day was better though than the first day. It also felt that the hotel prioritized commercial activities over guest comfort allowing modeling photo shoots to take place during the day without concern for guest privacy or disruption. On the morning of our departure, the hotel manager finally approached us to apologize for some of the experiences. However, given everything that had happened, it felt too little and too late. That said, we want to highlight that we had a very positive experience at Cape Sounio, which also belongs to Grecotel. This shows that the group can do much better when managed properly. As for finding a boutique hotel in Athens, we are sure there are better places offering more professional service, better breakfasts, greater attention to detail, and a true 5-star experience. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend ROC Hotel based on our experience.

We decided to stay here for easy access to the local beaches. We had a great check-in experience where the staff handled all of the paperwork while we enjoyed complementary drinks and snacks. We didn't need to lift a finger. The rooms were above expectations, and the staff was super accommodating. They handled any questions or concerns we had while constantly checking in to make sure there was nothing else they could do to make our stay better. The on-site pool and gym were excellent. The view from the pool and room was great as well. Cannot speak highly enough about the experience.

The hotel is beautifully designed, the rooms are spacious, the gym is well equipped and everywhere is well lit with natural light. The pool is gorgeous, too bad the weather didn’t allow us to go in but we enjoyed a day of sun. There are several restaurants within walking distance and a bus stop just near the hotel that can take you to Athens center ( with a connecting subway). Very close to Vouliagmeni lake and the beach. The breakfast is rich and delicious, exceptional service. I travelled with my 20 year old daughter and we both had a blast.

We had an amazing few days here. Clean , cool and a young happy vibe . Great service all around and on point . The bar/ restaurant on the roof top has beautiful views all around looking onto the sea ,It’s like being on a Greek Island . We loved it and hope to return soon .

Wonderful stay in Vougliameni. Firstly, the staff is super nice and friendly. I really appreciated the room upgrade with a sea view. It is true that rooms are decorated in a minimalist style but I loved it! Everything is brand new, plenty of space, clean. A bliss. Breakfast buffet was ok, with pretty good choices from à la carte menu (although we didn’t find the taste extraordinary). The restaurant is decorated with taste. The pool area is nice and quiet, with no loud music blasting so you can really relax. Overall, a very nice choice to stay near the sea with exceptional service and brand new amenities.

This was not a 5 star hotel. It was newly renovated and newly staffed. It’s still very much working out the service element and severely underperforming. - The service was not good or timely on anything ordered - They also had construction starting at 7am next door which woke the whole hotel up. Constant and incessant drilling into the rock. (You’re paying to sleep there and can’t) - The TV in the room was not programmed and didn’t work. - The shower door was very small and the entire bathroom gets sprayed with water. It’s a HUGE safety hazard as someone will slip, fall and crack their head. - Took forever to order breakfast and get a simple coffee in the morning - Tried to eat at Matsuhisa the night before and they couldn’t accommodate a ride, other than a very expensive private car - $100 euro car pick up from Ferry to the hotel seemed a little excessive
