"While this is mostly a craft beer bar, you can still eat things like wings, tacos, flatbreads, and nachos along with your double IPA on the outdoor patio. The Rochard is open from 2pm to 10pm Tuesday through Sunday, so if you’re looking to spend a weekday afternoon outside of the sauna you once called your apartment, this is a great spot to know about." - Hannah Albertine, Nikko Duren

"Think of The Rochard as an exceptional neighborhood bar that happens to have a giant leather booth, a big beer selection, and some food that’s less sad than what you typically find at a casual drinking establishment. If you recently moved to the UES and are still adjusting to life uptown, stop by for a burger and beer, and pretend that you’re within walking distance of Tompkins Square Park." - Bryan Kim, Matt Tervooren

"The Rochard is a craft beer bar that’s very close to Earl’s and has all of their taps attached to an old (non-functional) bathtub. They do Happy Hour on Sundays starting at 4pm and there are plenty of booths where your friends can get in fights over a who gets to be Colonel Mustard in your game of Clue." - Hannah Albertine

Today was my first time visiting Rochard and it was great. The food and cocktails were delicious. I also like that it is spacious and their happy hour begins at 11 a.m. I will definitely return to try the other selection of food on the menu including their drinks. They also cater to the employees at the nearby hospital (Mt. SINAI) on Thursday's..check it out!

We've been here a few times. Usually just for a quick drink. We really like the server/bartendress. She's very friendly & charming. It's a warm inviting environment; feels like home. They offer a pretty good happy hour special. I ordered an Aperol-Spritz & the hubby had the three Flights. For lunch we tried the Ruben with a side of fries and some tocos. The tocos were good, but I loved the Ruben, I would definitely recommend it. The fries were really tasty too. Happy Eating 🍴

Nice selection of taps in a quirky space. It's best if you go in the early afternoon when the place isn't packed, as there's not that many people serving you and service could be slow if it there's a full house.

Part of the Beerly Legal group. It's a pretty small venue with mostly bar seats and a couple of booths. Big windows facing the street, exposed brick walls, and some random items for decoration makes it a really nice space. 22 rotating beers on tap, plus a red and a white wine. Additional cans and bottles are also available, and of course a full bar. Happy hour every day, except Saturdays, from 11am to 7pm, and again from 11pm to 1am.

We just came for beers. Sat at the bar and had a few drafts. The place was super busy, on the loud side and the service took for-EVER. It was one of the worst services at a bar that I’ve had in a long time. They do have a nice selection of drafts, 24 I believe. And happy hour, From 12-8!! I would give them another try earlier in the day for their happy hour 😉

Stumbled upon this place and I think it’s our new go to spot. Their food is delicious and they have such a great selection of beers. Their cocktail drinks are also great. The vibe is so warm and inviting. They are short on staff it seems but that never once affected the service. It’s a small place but doesn’t feel cramped. Even on the weekdays there are people here. They have weekly events such as trivia night, taco Tuesday, etc. It’s a fun great place. Definitely recommend.

Went for Sunday brunch, loved it and will return for an evening time to try wine and beer selection. Fun decor.
