National Parks Are Reopened. Here’s Where to Go to Avoid the Crowds - Eater

"It doesn’t get more quintessential Minnesota Northwoods than the Rocky Ledge, a cabin-like restaurant on the tree-lined shores of Kabetogama Lake, with a penchant for Minnesota specialties like wild rice casserole." - Matt Kirouac

Yelp
Fun little local dive, within walking distance of several resorts in Kabetogama. Servers are friendly, and we especially enjoyed chatting with local diners. Draft beer selection is small but good, and the food is super fresh and tasty. The deep-fried green beans are a must-try! They're flash fried and still green inside, and totally addictive. The fried shrimp is also awesome. The fry bread tacos are unique and definitely worth trying. We took our leftover tacos home, and they reheated well.

Yelp
Walk, drive, bike or boat to Rocky Ledge! We've Been going there for 20 plus years and stop in three times a week. Who wants to cook on Vacation! The locals hang out there, and it never disappoints. Try the walleye, the Garbage Pizza, the cheese curds, or even a salad! Love "The Ledge"!!!

Yelp
This is our go to place on the lake! Always great service and the food is constantly delicious. I highly recommend the fry bread taco. Huge portion! Great local flavor!

Yelp
TLDR: Known for their pizzas and burgers. Ate here with my family while we were visiting on vacation. We voted on our favorite things and the order was: fish tacos, walleye fingers, and the garbage pizza. I thought the fish tacos were exceptional compared to everything else. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We stopped here after a day on Lake Kabetogama. Four of us split the walleye fingers, fish tacos, and a large garbage pizza. The fish tacos were my favorite. The fry bread and sauce were wonderful. The walleye fingers were also very good. The pizza is what they're known for, but I thought it was just ok. The service was good and friendly. If you're looking for a place to eat in the area, this is your spot.

Yelp
My friend and I were staying close to the Northern Lights Resort, and this is located super close to Voyageurs National Park/Kabetogama Lake. Because of this, I've come here for both dinner and for breakfast--service was somewhat on the slower side for dinner, but I think it's dependent on the server. (It was quicker in the morning, and either way, they were very friendly.) There aren't too many places to eat around this area, and this place would definitely be worth a stop! The food here was super good--I believe their pizza is what they're supposed to be known for, but the fry bread fish tacos caught my eye. Your order comes with two of em' and they're super tasty! Portion sizes are pretty substantial for the price. The fry bread is like fried naan(?), and the sauce/filling was really good!

Yelp
The BEST place for hot, amazing food near Kab lake and Ash River . We found this place on Yelp and we're excited to see they had vegetarian options. The "small" pizza is definitely enough for 2 -3 people. They have a good selection of beers . Strongly recommended if you are looking to fuel up after doing some of the god trails nearby. Service is fast and the interior is very clean.

Yelp
Worst food out by the Boundary Waters. $20 for an incredibly small portion of walleye that tasted like it traveled across the world to get to you. Ain't worth it.

Yelp
I had a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. I enjoyed it. Only criticism is the crust was soggy and the mushrooms were canned instead of fresh. My friend had the pepperoni pizza and he didn't like it at all. So mixed reviews.

Yelp
Amanda was one of the best servers, ever. She was polite, attentive, and very helpful. Unfortunately they were out of fry bread when we visited, but the fried chicken was good, the salad was fresh and the veggie pizza was good.

Yelp
We highly recommend this local watering hole and look forward to returning again. They offer scrumptious homemade food, pizza and delicious dipping sauces. Great access to Lake Kabetogama by car or boat as you explore Voyageurs National Park.

Yelp
Still reccomend. . Pizzas and Bourbon Burger with. Onion rings, great. A few beers were also consumed.

Yelp
Just what we needed! Houseboating meal plans found us without one meal so we headed over for some food. Wish there was better information about how to find the Resort off the water but we figured it out. Super friendly staff who took great care of our party of 6. The owner made me corn based chips (fresh!) so I could enjoy GF nachos. Big portions and delicious meals.

Yelp
Had a Rocky Ledge pizza. It was awesome. All fresh ingredients. Staff friendly and accommodating. Always clean and definitely northwoodsy!

Yelp
Came up to Northern Lights Resort to work kamp until October. Heard that this place has great all u can eat Walleye on Sundays but a repeat guest also mentioned it had the best pizza she ever had. We went there for lunch today and ordered the large garbage pizza with regular bacon, not Canadian bacon. It was awesome. The crust was thin and slightly charred from the pizza oven. The ingredients were fresh except for the canned mushrooms they used. But for being out in the middle of nowhere I wasn't complaining. It really was one of the better pizzas I have had and will definitely be coming back. They have specials every night and the prime rib might be our next meal of choice.

Yelp
Visited here in late September to get a jump on some early fall fishing. While we were too early for a clear lake, we were right on time to make the Rocky Ledge our night time haunt. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious. Over the course of the week we had ample time to sample most of the menu. I would recommend the pizza, the walleye tacos were phenomenal and served on freshly prepared fry bread instead of the traditional tortilla. Portions were by no means meager and prices were right on point. Next time I head up to the land of the sky blue waters I'll be found feeling at home at the Ledge!

Yelp
Went there on a weekday afternoon. No cars in lot-bad sign. Not much else around so took the plunge. Nothing fancy decor wise-old gosh were up north memorabilia-not important but pretty cliche. Asked for Fry bread tacos-all out. Sandwich and burgers etc could be anywhere in the USA. Had a Coke, patty melt, burger and bloody mary-$32. Squeakiest voiced waitress in America topped off the whole deal. I'd pack my own sandwich and pass.
