"Roger Room is one of the best bars in the city, located on prime Weho real estate, and somehow people still don’t really know about it. Which is good news for you and your low-key after-work drink plans. The tiny bar has an old Hollywood feel, and the crowd inside is mostly industry people waiting to see a show next door at The Largo. The atmosphere is relaxed, you can always find a seat if you’re there early, and the cocktails are fantastic. Just know you’ll have to find somewhere to eat afterwards." - brant cox
"The Roger Room is hidden off to the side of the Largo in Weho, but it’s not really a secret. This retro-themed cocktail spot gets packed after 9pm, and it’s rowdy in the best way possible. Comedians and their entourage squeeze into red leather booths as vested bartenders make elaborate drinks with stenciled designs and stylish garnishes. There’s an entire absinthe menu if you care to partake, but we can’t help but find that gimmicky (no one here is hallucinating green fairies). The Flim Flam is our drink of choice, with dry gin, a bitter punch from Cynar, and a sweet Luxardo cherry." - brant cox, sylvio martins
"Across the street from Fumi is Roger Room. It’s a speakeasy-style (but not annoying) spot inside the Largo, where you’ll find a date-night-appropriate (but not boring) atmosphere and some of the best cocktails in West Hollywood. This is one of our favorite bars in LA." - jess basser sanders, amy clark, brant cox
"If you’ve ever seen a show at The Largo on La Cienega, you’ve probably wandered around and found a somewhat hidden bar off to the side and immediately decided you loved it. That’s Roger Room and the good news is you don’t have to have a ticket to the Largo to drink there. The space is small and dark, and on weeknights, it's filled with a crowd of mostly comedians who just want to be left alone like you. On weeknights, things start getting rowdy at around 9pm. Whether that has to do with the fact that there’s an entire absinthe section on the menu, we will never know. " - brant cox
"Perhaps because it’s hidden under a tiny neon sign next to The Largo theater on La Cienega, The Roger Room tends to get lost in the mix. The place isn’t big, but the big crowd inside is mostly comprised of people who know how to drink and comedians waiting to go on at The Largo (read: also people who know how to drink). Get the Spiced Mule or the absinthe-infused Green Fairy, sit and talk to bartenders who actually know how to engage in conversation, and realize you’ll probably never drink anywhere else again." - brant cox, brett keating
