The Best Chicken Wings in Los Angeles

"One of West Hollywood’s classiest and most unsung places for a lunch meeting, the Roof at Edition features unfettered views of the Hollywood Hills and the flats of LA below. Most of the food will be typical hotel restaurant fare with a modern Mexican and Californian edge, like hamachi tiradito and crab nachos. The sweet, sticky chicken wings come covered in a honey Tapatio sauce and served with a side of cilantro crema Mexicana sauce. The wings are dainty enough to share with the kind of see-and-be-seen types likely to frequent the Roof at Edition on a weekday." - Eater Staff

Fantastic brunch spot with breathtaking views. The Roof is perfect for a weekend brunch with family and friends. While you'll partly pay for the stunning view, unlike most rooftop venues, the food here is truly good. Our family enjoyed everything from the tofu tacos to classic eggs and steak, and everyone was pleased with their meals. The view is undoubtedly the highlight of the restaurant, offering a magnificent 270-degree panorama of Los Angeles, stretching from Santa Monica to downtown and beyond. Even the restroom boasts a view, completing the full 360-degree experience with vistas of the Sunset area and the Hollywood Hills. The service was friendly, efficient, and perfectly paced, allowing us to savor our meal and the spectacular scenery. Overall, it was a wonderful experience that I highly recommend.

Google
This was my third visit, and the experience was consistent with past visits. The real standout here is the absolutely spectacular view—easily one of the best in the area. Whether you’re inside or out, the scenery adds so much to the experience and makes it a great spot to soak in the surroundings. The food and drinks are good, though on the pricier side, so it really depends on what you’re looking for. Service can be hit or miss, but the host on Monday was super welcoming and made a great first impression. If you’re after a meal with an epic view, it’s definitely worth checking out!

This was one of the best experiences that I have been able to attend. My boyfriend kept saying “compliments to the chef” because everything that came out, for the Valentine’s Day, couples special was none less than delicious! A lot of the food we have never had before, like the octopus, which I said I would never eat. But the chef made it so edible and delicious! Derek was our server, which he did absolutely amazing! Thank you Derek for being so welcoming! But also, there was an Adam, who first greeted my boyfriend and I off the elevator, ( by the way Adam, we have about 4 steps to out handshake perfected so far 🤭) he had excellent customer service! Lastly, there was a Jeffrey who went above and beyond to make sure my bf and I could go home and reminisce by offering to help us out with our pictures, and he could be a photographer btw cause our pictures were perfect! Ty Jeffrey! And thank you Ryan for stepping in and helping out with serving for a brief time. My favorite was the steak! We will be back for the steak, and the experience! Even the Hotel, was beautiful! Have to come back and stay.

A night to remember at the rooftop bar of The Edition Hotel—sipping an Espresso Martini with the city lights sparkling below. The dessert? A moist sponge cake soaked in flavor and topped with cream and pistachio—absolutely divine. Chic vibes, stunning views, and a touch of elegance in every detail.

Google
This is a hidden gem and my absolute favorite place in Hollywood. The view, the staff, drinks and food collectively will leave you wanting to come back. The sweet potato taquitos are so yummy! Watermelon Sugar drink make it hard to say no to another round of drinks. The staff is also super accommodating and professional. The hotel itself is stunning, but even if you aren’t a guest, I highly recommend coming for drinks!

Google
My first impression when I arrived at the hotel lobby: was the stunning, classy, and elegant decorations and settings. To enter the rooftop, head to the front desk and let them know you are visiting the rooftop, and they will assist in letting you go up. I remember that customer service was excellent here, or maybe our server was great (Steve). The rooftop views are stunning, but maybe you can see it better during the day with less cold and dine outside to enjoy the view in the West Hollywood/LA area. We only ordered the oysters and ceviche, and It was okay, but most people were here for drinks and the views. Visiting the rooftop during the day and night when it's less cold is highly recommended. Reservation is needed.

Google
This was our favorite place to eat while in West Hollywood. Emily the manager always made us feel like VIPs every time we were there. And the Cesar Salad with steak was the best I've ever had. Also enjoyed the ambience and views of LA, Beverly Hills, and the Hollywood Hills. I highly recommend this place. Best place to chill while in West Hollywood.

Google
Amazing city views from The Roof bar and restaurant inside the EDITION Hotel. Drinks, food, and service were all very nice, and everything was spot on immaculate. Loved the sweat potato stuffed taquitos; it's a great option for a light lunch. Elevator up to for some of the most breathtaking views of the city in Los Angeles.

Yelp
Finding a spot like this is what makes trying new places so worth it. we put in a last minute reservation not knowing what we wanted but the opportunity for a stunning view is always at the top of the list. walking in we could tell it was busy but it didn't feel that way. it was calm and such a vibe it really felt like the perfect way to spend a night whether just starting it off or ending it. i'm not exaggerating when i say it was some of the best food we've had. the tofu tacos are literally the best tofu i've ever had and the quesadilla was nothing short of delicious. the tuna tostada honestly caught us off guard and alone is an amazing dish, i would come back just for this. perfect portions, left feeling like a king. shoutout to Derrick for making our time great and we can't wait to come back soon

Yelp
Views + Drinks! Casual vibes. I have visited a few times over the last few years. The Roof is a fun, casual, scenic vibe over LA. Great place for drinks and small bites to catch up with your girl friends or a new date. The crowd here can feel a bit "stuffy" but certainly worth a visit with your date if you can put on blinders. Food is good for snacking only. I would recommend drinks mostly. The few times I've gone, I've had the bartender craft an off-menu lychee martini which was STRONG all the times I've had it. I did enjoy the sea bass ceviche which is light and fresh and the Caesar salad as well. Crab nachos were good, too. But again, come for the views and the drinks. The bathroom is even a fun photo "opp".

Yelp
Walked in without a reservation and was able to get a seat with an amazing view! big thanks, the hostess for being amazing! We ordered a few appetizers to share (the quesadilla, and the yucca fries). Both for very yummy but definitely small for the price. We both got drinks; I got a glass of rosé (which was a very healthy pour), my friend got the learners permit, which was delicious (a mocktail). We got the Cinco leches for dessert. This was okay, it definitely could've been more moist, but the flavors were good. Phil our server was fantastic. You are able to get parking validated but it isn't a big portion of the parking cost. All in all, would come back for the view alone.
google avatar

Yelp
I always have an amazing time at Edition rooftop spot! The view of the city is absolutely stunning. The service is always great, and the staff are super friendly. Plus, the food is delicious! Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
The Roof at the EDITION was a great experience. I do recommend making reservations. We had to wait about 35 for a table. It was well worth it the views were awesome. One thing they didn't have any tvs had to catch a playoff game on my phone. We went with the honey tapatío wings and the tuna lettuce wraps. The wings were perfectly cooked. Super crispy but still juicy. The honey tapatío sauce was also really good. Drinks were all refreshing. Definitely recommend The Roof
google avatar

Meena N.

Yelp
View is fabulous from the outdoor patio tables. There is some free street parking. The guacamole was very tasty. the wings were pretty good. I had high hopes for the squash blossoms but didn't care for the filling. Duck tacos were pretty good...not my favorite mole though. Crab nachos were just okay. Service was pretty attentive.
google avatar

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was surprisingly not busy at all. I didn't need a reservation. The place has amazing views of the city. The service isn't so great because the gratuity is automatically included (18.5%). It's a nice place to grab a drink and enjoy the LA views on a sunny day.

Yelp
The food and atmosphere was to die for. A staple in West Hollywood. The service was spot on. Great date night or to come hear for lunch. Valet: Parking Cost: $$
google avatar

Steve K.

Yelp
The valet parking was $22 for the rooftop and the drinks were pricey, but the service and ambiance was as good as it gets. Very accommodating servers. The appetizer tacos were tasty and we got good "pours" on the glasses of wine ordered. The panoramic views from west to east of L.A. basin were outstanding and worth the high prices. The inside decor was very tastefully done. A class place, one of L.A.'s finest. My guest from Perth, Australia was highly impressed.
google avatar

Mustang M.

Yelp
The view is what I came for and it did not disappoint. The drink was not so good and a little on the expensive side, but the Crab Nachos was fresh and really good. Our waiter was amazing, I like his name was Ryan. But all the staff at the check in desk at the roof top was friendly and welcoming.
google avatar

Peter P.

Yelp
The food was and drinks were pretty good. A bit pricey, but that's expected from these kind of views. Service was good overall. You basically come here for the views. Cute date spot for anybody looking for a cozy spot.

Aby C.

Yelp
Service was terrible. No one came to check on us to see if we wanted to order anything additional . Came to celebrate my birthday here to make it special but there was nothing special about it .
google avatar

Lea L.

Yelp
Very nice hotel. Valet is available or street parking. Once you enter the ground floor you will go to the elevators on the left to go to The Roof. I came in to to meet my party. They were seated in the center initially. The birthday girl reserved a seat with a view. However, there was none available so we ended up waiting over an hour for a better seat. Food was good. We had some orders of shrimp and short rib tacos and the ceviche. Service was ok. Our first waiter was great and once we moved service changed dramactically. I know we were in someone's else section but we weren't done ordering. Our friend had to get up and get the guy. Overall, was a very nice dining experience. A good date night spot as well.
google avatar

Sue S.

Yelp
The customer service representatives at the lobby desk are extremely rude and judgmental once I got past the prejudice behavior and made it to the roof. I was greeted by loads of sunshine music and a comfortable bed to tan. I ordered shrimp and a Caesar salad. They were phenomenal. Also ordered a tray of watermelon. Perfect for a day of tanning. The vibes are unmatched.
google avatar

Debbie B.

Yelp
We went to the Roof for a healthy snack and were blown away by our choices. The chamoy sauce for the fruit was unlike anything we've ever tasted and the fruit was so fresh! Crab wraps were light and delicious. I just love the way they dice the fruit so tiny! And the jumbo shrimp was meaty and tasty, the malden salt flakes on the avocado was a very special touch. Service was outstanding. Top shelf spot.

Yelp
Love this place! Great customer service. Beautiful ambience and good food! Def my new go to spot.

Yelp
What an amazing experience my family and I had at The Roof. The food was so delicious, and the view was priceless. Thanks so much to my cousin, Chef Patrick, and his team for giving us an unforgettable VIP, incredibly delicious experience. Everything was a 10/10.
google avatar

Ross U.

Yelp
The drinks on the menu were all very sweet. Stick to ordering a classic cocktail or wine or beer, unless you're looking for a bad hangover. However, the view makes it worthwhile.
google avatar

Wendy S.

Yelp
Wonderful atmosphere terrific view , nice snacks, and drinks. We were lucky enough to catch the northern lights.. Hostess asked to take a picture of us with the northern lights. It was so kind of her because it's the best picture we took on our whole trip. She also reserved us a table inside so we would have one when we were finished outside. Extremely kind. Beautiful place and view.
google avatar

Derek L.

Yelp
Love the vibes here. One of my favorite rooftops. Walked in on a Friday night. Was nervous that they would be at capacity but luckily we were able to get seats at the bar. Ordered the fame game and daydream d'lite. Both great drinks. Love the interior of this space. Daydream d'lite: $23 Fame game: $23

Yelp
If you're ever in the west, the edition is a nice place with a pretty cool view! A great place for some nice influencer pictures. You might get lucky and see some famous people while you're at it food is okay but you are there for the view not the food. The cockatiels are good! We got queen bee and I'd give it a 8/10.
google avatar

Dan D.

Yelp
Friendly service, great food & beverages, plus a great view of Hollywood/LA! Would highly recommend if in Hollywood!

Yelp
This place is great! Went here for a birthday brunch and really enjoyed it. Ambience is 10/10. Our server, Derek was fantastic. He was sweet and accommodating. Let us know it was family style food, reiterated our order. Espresso martini and tofu tacos are Amazing. Def recommend!
google avatar

Shanelle S.

Yelp
Came here for some drinks on a Friday night since a couple of friends were staying at the hotel as guests. We didn't have a reservation but we were able to get a table for 4 within 5 minutes. We sat inside and there was outdoor seating, but since it was raining, no one was outdoors. That being said, the rooftop was a cool spot to take photos and you could see the downtown LA skyline. Bar seating is also available. We came after dinner for some churros and a drink. The churros come with chocolate and are a little doughy, but they're a good size to split for a light dessert. Nonalcoholic options including mocktails and teas (I got the masala chai myself) are available. They do have food like tacos for a more substantial meal.
google avatar

Zoe S.

Yelp
Love the ambiance Pool table with bar and seating in lobby. On the rooftop they have food and drinks as well as an amazing view of the sunset loved the variety of seasonal fruit
google avatar

Yelp
Steven, our server, made the night really special. He's very personable and makes you feel like you're the only one he's serving. Soft spoken, polite and very knowledgeable about the menu. His smile will make anyone's day. This was our first time there and I felt like it was sooo Hollywood, but all the workers there made everyone feel so welcomed and comfortable. The food is top-notch! We had the steak torte sandwich with cheese-- DELICIOUS, filling and light, it didn't weigh me down. Dessert I had the leche cake, it was ok. Downstairs in the lobby they have a pool table, bar and lounge, so much FUN!! Just come here to chill out and shoot the shit with friends, it's FUN, even though the atmosphere is pretty Hollywood. We ran into a few friends and went to the club around the corner. Thank you Steven for giving us the best experience for our first time there, we're already planning on bringing our friends back.
google avatar

Yelp
First time coming the WeHo EDITION and wow, what a stunner. The view from the Roof restaurant and lounge is incredible, looking down across the LA basin. On a clear day you'll see everything from Downtown to the Pacific. There are great lounge areas inside for snacks, heavy bites, and drinks. Outside you'll find some tables set up for two people lining the glass retaining screen with picture perfect views. Back on the inside, near the bar is regular table seating. I came early one weekday afternoon after wrapping up a meeting. A few people were gathering for drinks, but by the time I left it was filling up more with post-work revelers and hotel guests. BTW, only hotel guests are able to access the pool area next to the restaurant. The menu is incredibly appetizing. Everything is Tex Mex with a modern take. I opted for the Crab Nachos by recommendation from my friend - they did not disappoint. I was so pleased with the food that I will be back to host an event here. Really really great space, and best of all for anyone wanting to host an event, the minimum spend is very reasonable - way cheaper than other places.

Yelp
Assistant birthday. She has 2 kids so I wanted to be classy and really give her a moment to appreciate life and thank her for everything and let loose. Let's get drunk. Awesome views Erik was a great host and very swift FOOD A
google avatar

Ereny H.

Yelp
The exterior, interior and even the elevator smell so good. Food was very delish beyond belief, I wish I could have ordered more but everyone I was with decided to be skinny that day so I obliged so I wouldn't look like the only heifer I really am. I got extremely lucky with close by street parking, otherwise you have to valet. The service wasn't the greatest, we felt abandoned the majority of the stay but the views are breathtaking and the vibes are so feel good it didn't even matter.
google avatar

Clarissa H.

Yelp
This place is great in the daytime and night. The views are amazing, the drinks are so good. I loved the tequila watermelon drink. The wings are so good, the crab nachos are good, the short rib tacos are so good, and the ceviche is so good! I want to come back and try everything else on the menu lol service is really good from the valet guys to the front desk and everyone at the rooftop
google avatar

Yelp
Normally, The Roof is my favorite rooftop in LA. However, this last visit, the service was sorely lacking and completely off. This was especially awful, because of all days, it was my birthday. Initially, I had a male server greet me as I was seated, then he completely disappeared. So I had to flag down a woman named Brittany, and ask her to take my order. She was in civilian clothing, so it doesn't appear that she was a waiter. Then when my food came out, a completely different man delivered it to me. My initial waiter was no where to be found, again! 10 minutes later, I had to flag ANOTHER waiter down. There were about 4 different people that I was dealing with, none of which were my initial waiter. Then maybe 20 minutes later, the initial waiter reappeared. There was no explanation as to why this was happening, why he disappeared for the entirety of my meal, and why it felt like a circus of musical chairs dealing with a million different people and having to flag people down for service. Finally, after getting a to go box, AGAIN, a completely different woman brings it to me. The entire experience felt unorganized, unprofessional and lacking. It honestly left a bad taste in my mouth (pun intended), given that it was supposed to be such a special occasion, this entire experience ruined it for me. I don't think I'll be returning to The Roof anytime soon, and it's a shame because I used to rave about this place to people, and recommended it any chance that I could, but no more.

Kylie S.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in LA! Ambience and crowd is great, both downstairs & the rooftop! However the concierge girls at the desk downstairs by the elevator can be unprofessional but as long as you know where you're going and have reservations you're good to go. Their menu is okay but not a lot to choose from. This is more of a bar/chill hangout spot than a restaurant.
google avatar

Ashima K.

Yelp
Very pretty views - one of my favorite LA rooftops! We got some seafood apps and were pleasantly surprised - views, drinks and food quality are often a choose 2 of 3 situation, and all 3 things were perfect here. Great place to bring visitors, or to catch up with locals who need a little reason to love LA views again.
google avatar

Grace A.

Yelp
Had a good time here. The views were amazing at the roof top. Definitely a great idea for that lil day date or night date you were planning on bringing your Boo to. Remember to make reservations unless you wanna try and snag a seat at the bar. But reservations are always the best. We got a few drinks of the Casita de Campo and Fame Game. 100% Recommend, those drinks were on point. And the bartenders were super friendly as well. Overall we had a good time here for sure.
google avatar

Mr G.

Yelp
Great view, nice chill vibe. In fact the view looking north from the bathrooms is probably nicer, bathrooms really nice and clean. Servers friendly and give good cocktail advice.
google avatar

Catharine N.

Yelp
Wowwww, came here on a whim and it's such a nice rooftop restaurant with great views of LA! We had a 7-year old with us but wanted to join the rooftop in the area so they were accommodating. Called other rooftops in the area and no one allowed kids to enter but the Roof did. Had cocktails here and it was delicious! Had such a vibe for both a younger and an older crowd! Food here was asian fusion which I did not mind at all. I definitely cared more about the ambiance. Stop by if you can!
google avatar

Jasmine S.

Yelp
Pricey but worth the views and vibes. I know this spot also was hosting some Grammy weekend events so that just speaks to its atmosphere. A hotel rooftop worth visiting. Excellent service. We just ordered drinks, no food which I think is the way to go.
google avatar

Yelp
Happy Mother Fer Day! You can't make this stuff up. So we booked our reservation a few weeks ago with great anticipation of a perfect Mother's Day. We can overlook the overpriced menu; as it is to be expected in this zip code. So our drinks were fantastic and the appetizers came out without a hitch. However, when the quesadilla was delivered by the food runner, it missed the table and was placed ever so eloquently into both of our daughter's laps. Ofcourse, a sincere apology followed by the food runner as she went to grab two disgusting bar towels to assist in the cleanup. She was only out done by the Mensa manager that also apologized and offered to comp the dish. However, they did not make a new one, but rather put the chaos back into the plate and on to the table. To truly demonstrate the level of ignorance, they offered to have both pairs of pants dry cleaned, we simply would have to drive home, change clothes, bring them back and again after the dry cleaning; again drive back to the restaurant and pick them up... because we all love Hollywood traffic and embrace any opportunity to sit in said traffic. The balance of our time was nice, as the view was pleasant and they did not allow the food runner to come back to the table. The icing on the cake was that we got to pay $50.00 for a mandatory tip and our entire meal. This is a grand example of the lack of common sense and customer service that had become rampant in our fine city. If you're looking for ignorance this is the meet up spot.

Lisa S.

Yelp
Food is excellent.. I can eat here every day. Best skinny spicy margarita . Staff is very friendly and attentive Great for a group of friends or date night We love it here so much we did New Year's Eve here and had a blast
google avatar

Mary B.

Yelp
The Edition was poppin on a Friday night! My friend and I were greeted downstairs by Edward. He was spectacular, and very accommodating. We sat at the bar to have drinks before having dinner at another location. We quickly changed our plans after having appetizers and drinks here, and decided to stay at the Edition for dinner downstairs at Ardor. The service was top-notch, the staff very lively, lovely, and all were adorable. I ordered the Hamachi Aguachile, and kir royale, and my friend had espresso martinis with tequila. We both enjoyed our time here. P.S. You'll need proof of vaccination to be here.
google avatar

Victoria K.

Yelp
LA has a high bar for rooftops, pun intended, and this is one of the greats imo. Walking through the hotel to get to the elevator, you pass a beautiful bar and smell the Edition's signature scent. I find the lobby there stunning. On the rooftop level, the ladies room has absolutely spectacular views - I love a surprise and delight moment like that. Great bartenders. I'm basic with my vodka sodas, but I appreciated the service and people there.
google avatar

Jackie C.

Yelp
Beautiful views but outdoor side view seats are pretty limited. The taquitos and yuka fries were really good!
google avatar

Erica A.

Yelp
Nice hotel for sure. The rooftop has great views but our service was not very good. We had a reservation for my friends birthday and wanted a table with a view and had to wait almost an hour to get our table. Either we came on a busy night or they were under staffed because we waited for everything from the time we sat down with no updates. The carne asada tacos were good.
google avatar

Daniella W.

Yelp
Ambiance is great!! views are amazing! Food was subpar but hey- I really just came for the view anyways
google avatar

Marc R.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. Crab nachos were amazing and they didn't skimp on the crab. Not pictured here but wait until you try the Tapatío honey wings, a true masterclass.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a cool rooftop experience!! The views were great, drinks were good as well. Went for sunset and didn't disappoint. Drinks are super expensive- but it is Hollywood
google avatar

Saundra A.

Yelp
This is such a beautiful hotel in the heart of west Hollywood. The staff is very accommodating and we found cheaper parking next door at 9026 sunset Blvd

Yelp
The bar is perfect and the service and all the staff are perfect and the bar food and drinks and service are best. Friendly environment enjoyed a lot

Yelp
This place is a must. I love rooftop venturing and this is one of my recommended spots. Drinks are good and food is is great.
