We had our sunset dinner here and loved the views, the seating, the food and the service! First of all, the view was amazing to overlook the coast along the arch & rocks. Then the seating was spacious enough that we could relax and enjoy the food and drinks with sunset views. They treated us well and even brought the blankets when it was getting cold outside after the sunset. Yes, the food and drink were pricey but we enjoyed and think it was worth the money paid for.

Google
A completely captivating experience. We arrived early evening to enjoy the sunset and dj beats. The views, the service, the drinks and food all exceed expectations. The architecture of the building topped it all off with unbelievable views at every single turn. This is a must go to our your trip to Cabo.

We had a lovely dinner at the Rooftop! The views were unbelievable. We saw the most magnificent sunset, whales breaching, and endless ocean views! Raul was an incredible server/bartender, offering unforgettable service. The food and drinks were delicious as well! I highly recommend this restaurant!

I can’t say enough about the incredible service we had on Thursday 1/30/2025 The gentleman at the front desk went above and beyond looking for my lost sunglasses. Our server at the rooftop bar was equally as pleasant and professional. This was our second time at The Cape and both times were fantastic. Also the DJ was AMAZING!

We went for a drink one night when we stayed within walking distance of the cape. The hotel looks beautiful. The service was great at the Rooftop, fun vibe and the singer that night was awesome.

Google
fun spot for sunset drinks. Definitely on the pricey side, but it’s Cabo! The food was good. Service was slow, but why are you in a rush? Pro tip: go here for drinks and then dinner at the Michelin Star restaurant below.

Beautiful Setting, But Service Missed the Mark (Review for Sat. 12th) I had been looking forward to visiting The Cape’s rooftop for some time, drawn by the promise of great views and a lively atmosphere. We made a reservation and arrived shortly after 10 PM, only to learn that the kitchen was only offering light bites at that time, something we would’ve appreciated knowing in advance. Still, we decided to stay and enjoy the ambiance, which truly is stunning. Upon being seated, I greeted a gentleman near our table who didn’t respond, I later realized he was actually our server Gilbert .The lack of a proper greeting set the tone. I ordered a lemonade-based mocktail while my family member tried the espresso martini, which was recommended by the server. Unfortunately, my drink lacked flavor and had a very bitter aftertaste. I expressed my dissatisfaction, and he replaced it with a passion fruit drink that was much better. I appreciated the effort to make it right. We ordered shrimp quesadillas, guacamole, and fish tacos. As expected at a luxury property, the prices were high, but unfortunately the quality didn’t match. The tacos, which came as a small portion of two, were bland and lacking seasoning. I wanted to request salsa, but our server was nowhere to be found and never checked in on us after delivering the food. What truly left a sour impression was a moment during service that felt blatantly disrespectful. A large group was seated at the table next to us, and without a word or even eye contact, our server reached over and took the menu off our table to give to them. We weren’t finished ordering, and he didn’t ask if we were done or needed anything else. It was dismissive and inconsiderate, it made us feel overlooked and undervalued simply because we weren’t part of a larger party. Eventually, I placed a to-go order. When the check came, the server pointed out that he didn’t charge me for the first mocktail I didn’t like. While I appreciated the gesture, the way it was mentioned felt unnecessary , especially since I hadn’t consumed it and had already expressed dissatisfaction respectfully. I still left a $15 tip out of courtesy. Our total came to $155 for one mocktail, one cocktail, guacamole, two taco orders, and one quesadilla. In the end, while the rooftop ambiance was exactly what we were looking for, the service — particularly the lack of professionalism and basic courtesy — left a lasting impression. For a venue of this caliber, that kind of experience was disappointing.

Google
Great spot for a sunset and great view. Easy to valet car. Lots of seating. Good craft cocktails at reasonable price. We didn't eat. Would definitely take guests staying there and go again.

Yelp
I researched so many hotels from Cabo to Todo Santos for months and months ... and while I was Looking at the Cape often... I just didn't commit -as the price, especially at NEW YEARS, was way high. We typically move around a lot on vacation to check out different hotels- we love to do that, but the Cape didn't end making the cut.... UNTIL the end of our vacation because every other place we stayed at fell short! At the last minute we left another property in El Pescadero to drive to the Hyatt Cape and were so glad we did!!! Feel free to read my other reviews of Paredero, Kimpton Los Mas Olas, and Hyatt Ziva.... Just know that our two nights at the Cape were absolutely extraordinary! You get what you pay for at the Cape! It actually is good value for the price now that I've experienced the competition. Other places you pay top $ and don't get the service that you should. The Cape is 100% 5 star!!! The location is phenomenal- it literally is the best best spot to view a Cabo sunset, and you don't even have to leave your room. It's like watching the most breathtaking painting that changes colors every minute in the sky! It's absolutely stunning. Note too the room service menu is excellent- so honestly you can just hunker down on your balcony, get room service and totally chill for the evening! Plus the design of the room is so classy and fun you want to take advantage of the room! Tho take one night to go to The Roof - the bar and food are stunning there too and the vibe is fantastic. It's small so make a reservation. They have yoga there in the mornings too. The gym was excellent- again with amazing view! The service is 5 Star, everyone is helpful and lovely. We came from places that were so obnoxiously loud party party atmosphere or dead quiet and service that no where met the price of the places (Paradero). There is only one reason not to stay at the Cape and that's if you really want a huge sprawling all inclusive resort, other than that I highly recommend The Cape - especially for couples. It's absolutely a beautiful very romantic place to stay! Thank you to all the amazing staff! Everyone was fantastic!

Yelp
Pros: The view was spectacular as well as some of the complimentary items. Some of the staff like Hugo & Fernanda (I hope I got their names right) really went above and beyond to make you feel great. The food I believe was fantastic and very fresh. The breakfast buffet had a chokehold on me. I really enjoyed my stay here but it all came with a price. Cons : The attention to detail was great. However the moment you stop tipping is when you kind of notice some peoples attitude change. Which is kind of a let down because there is a service charge for everything you get, don't need to tip. I really do encourage people to try this place out but just don't let someone's attitude discourage you from enjoying what you spent money on.

Yelp
Our stay at The Cape was nothing short of exceptional. We went for my boyfriend's birthday and it was the best decision we made. Every staff member was very attentive - EVERY SINGLE ONE. They all make you feel like your stay is very special. We stayed at The Cape for 4 days and didn't leave once. On one of the days we signed up for a cooking class and it was so worth it. We were with the chefs Isabella and Alfonso. They were very patient teaching us and we had a phenomenal time. It was very personal and the food was just amazing. I would definitely recommend taking a class here if you have time! We also had great service at the pool - Fernanda and Hugo were very attentive and provided amazing service for us to relax. Finally, our servers Francisco and Sandra were amazing as well! They kept checking in on us and made sure our drinks were never empty and that all our food was excellent. We would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
Had a great experience at the Cape! We were here for a wedding and asked for early check in, we got there at 2 pm for check in when regular check in is at 3 pm and our room was not ready until 3:20 pm. Once we were checked in our room had beautiful views with a nice daybed swing on the balcony. The hotel is located in a private cove with a private beach, the beach is not very swimmable and mostly for surfers. The pool was our favorite part as the views were to die for and it had a jacuzzi. The bed was very comfortable and housekeeping did a turn down service each night which was very convenient. We did room service one of the mornings for breakfast and also ate at the pool for lunch and the The Ledge for breakfast as well. Since we were there for a wedding, it was nice to have mostly everything located at the hotel itself. The staff was always very helpful and we are excited to come back again soon!

Yelp
Exceptional service, exceptional views, and breathtaking amenities. The entire stay was a memorable experience with all of the staff being 100% accommodating to any request that was made! I absolutely would stay at this amazing resort again the pool, the rooms the seating areas out by the multiple pools, everything was so well kept and maintained it was extremely enjoyable and the ocean side restaurants are just a unique experience!

Yelp
I'm settling on 4 stars for the Cape Hotel; TL/DR, fantastic luxury property that you can get on points, great location, love the Beach and pool, good food offerings, room may not be the one in the pictures due to the Residences building(s), and you are likely to experience a super loud wedding that will take over the evening of your weekend stay. We booked four nights at the Cape using Hyatt points and were very excited for our first trip to Cabo. The hotel was fairly easy to get to from the airport; we rented a car but they will provide a shuttle for a fee. Check in was overall great, small wait but the lobby is an incredible site to see that makes any delay go by quickly. They attempted to upgrade our room but couldn't due to the nature of our booking. We were in the 16/17 tower area, which had a limited ocean view and a style that was more mellow, not like the photos with the copper bathtubs that are all over the internet. I was debating whether to ask for a room change the whole trip, ultimately deciding that it was close enough (but it was a bit of a let down). They also gave us a welcome gift (Tequila) and even switched it out for fancy coconut water when they found out that we didn't drink much! The room itself was comfortable - big bathroom, big shower, toiletries, comfy bed, daybed on the balcony - we were quite happy with it, although it felt a little Spartan and manly in its décor. The property is pretty amazing - we loved the pool and the beach, service throughout was great. The hotel definitely leans "clubby" with loud music and a DJ at the rooftop restaurant on Thursdays, as well as most afternoons at the pool. We ate at most of the restaurants, many of which have secret vegan menus you can ask for. The rooftop was great on the first night, and we did the Sunday brunch, ultimately opting for ala carte as it was very expensive with mostly meat and seafood options (not good VFM as vegetarians). The view of El Arco is excellent, and though a little outside of town, it's between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo which we liked. Lots of food options ~10 minutes away too, like El Huerto and Metate. Biggest issue - on both Saturday and Sunday nights of our stay, they hosted huge weddings that spilled through the hotel's common spaces and dominated the main building rooftop during the evening. They BLASTED music until at least 1 AM both nights from the rooftop that must have disturbed every single room in the hotel. We had to sleep with our noise canceling headphones on. I feel extra sorry for folks who had rooms on high floors of the main building - must have been awful. When we complained at checkout they comp'ed us $200 total which did help, but still, it was tough! We'd go back but probably for a midweek stay versus a (holiday) weekend where there will probably be weddings. 5/5 if not for that element!

Yelp
We stayed here back in early Fall '22 as our first trip to Cabo (and Mexico!) and really enjoyed staying in the Thompson suite for a 3 nights. First off, the suite was very spacious as it's over 1K sqft and comes with a private balcony with an ocean view. We found this wonderful to watch the sunset from on our first night before heading out to dinner. The bathroom does open out to the bedroom, but there is a curtain that can be drawn across. There's also 2 separate wash closets, which we found useful when our friend stopped by to join us at the pool. Although I preferred using the shower stall, the soaking tub looked pretty stylish in the center of the bathroom. The room also comes with a Nespresso machine and pods that were refilled daily. As for amenities, the main pool itself wasn't huge, but we found it a good size and deep enough for us to swim around a bit. I may have also brought a floatie, because why not? We also used the cabanas in the late afternoon since they were empty after most of the people left. The lobby and lounge were huge and had a wonderful view as they opened out to the sea, however the evening DJ music was a bit loud. There were weddings every single night, so unfortunately the rooftop wasn't available until the late evening. Globalist benefits were recognized and the employees were very welcoming. They also remember your name, which we found a nice touch. Wonderful location away from solicitors so you'll get a nice private view of the ocean (not swimmable) or some adventurous surfers in the early morning!

Yelp
My wife and I stayed at the Cape hotel and had our wedding on the property, and it was the one of the best experiences of our lives! This hotel is perfectly situated in Los Cabos and has all of the amenities you could ever ask for. We had 1 bedroom villa which was spacious and beautiful. We had our welcome party by the pool area where they set up an open bar with DJ, our ceremony on the upper terrace, and our reception on the rooftop. The food, drinks, and music are all excellent here but the best part about this hotel is the world class SERVICE they provide you. All of the hotel employees (front desk, restaurants, pool area, bar) will greet you with a smiling face and make sure to take care of all of your needs. This hotel is the perfect place to have a wedding and we are so happy we came here for our destination wedding. We absolutely will be coming back here in the future!

Yelp
Wonderful resort complex in Cabo. Breathtaking views, great pool, and close to town. It's a pricey location but well worth it, due to the location.

Yelp
Amazing! Staff so friendly and the little cutie boutique! I bought so many cute pieces! I literally would gym it up in the AM and then lounge at pool. Gym always clean n ac pumping! The pool always had ppl cleaning and serving you but not in an annoying way. The food was great! No complaints here. I give this place 5 stars! Nights were so nice trying different types of food. No complaints! No matter where I ventured off too the customer service was exceptional! So hard to find that these days!

Yelp
Beautiful hotel and property that has a younger and more modern feel. While I enjoyed my time here, the grounds themselves aren't as expansive/large as some of the other resorts in the area. However, its location is good with enough distance from Cabo to have that exclusive feel while close enough to do other outside activities. It's also a great place to go to the rooftop bar to enjoy a sunset drink.

Yelp
Gorgeous hotel!!!! Also Manta 10/10!!! Such amazing and friendly staff. Get the ahi sashimi and the mochi corn ice cream (sounds weird but I swear it's so good)!!! Views were great. I ran into the hotel lobby store to get a candle really quick and when I got back from my trip and scratched off the price tag to give to a friend I realized the regular price tag was underneath and it was actually $23 cheaper from the actual seller. Good to know, and great reminder if you want to buy it at its normal price and not at an increased hotel price, check the actual seller's website!!!!

Yelp
AMAZING hotel. As soon as you walk into the lobby, you're in awe. Literally my jaw dropped. Such an amazing view from the lobby. The rooms are impeccable. You should plan to stay half a day just enjoying the room. I loved the swing in the balcony. The shower is super spacious. The food at this hotel is delicious!!! I will definitely stay here again!! This hotel is at the top of my list, and I've stayed at a lot of hotels.

Yelp
We made a huge mistake booking this resort for a romantic couple's trip to celebrate the holiday. We just wanted to recharge and relax after a busy couple of months. We've previously stayed at Las Ventanas and Esperanza and wanted to try something new. We were told by a friend that stayed at the Cape several years ago that it was comparable. Hardly. I will start with the positives. The view is stunning. The staff at the restaurants and especially the pool were very kind and hard working. Now for the horror. Upon check in, the floor was filthy and there were piles of hair near the door and next to the vanity in the restroom. There was what appeared to be circles of dirt and debris all over the floor. The staff came and spent about 3 minutes mopping. The circles still remained. When we tried to wipe the circles of dirt ourselves, we realized they were actually stains. They were everywhere (see pictures). So obviously, they did not seal the tile properly. Whatever. We were in Mexico, we could get past that. When I showered in the evening, I grabbed a towel to smell the most horrific smell I've ever smelled. I can only describe it as a strong chemical smell similar to paint thinner. I smelled every single towel and they all smelled disgusting. It was so strong that it made me nauseous. I texted the concierge and asked to bring fresh towels. They MOCKED me and asked if I needed medical assistance. The man who brought the "fresh" towels basically laughed in my face when I handed him the towels. The new batch smelled EXACTLY the same. We noticed this same odor off and on while walking around the resort and then again on some of our pool towels. Wherever they are storing some of the towels is infested with this smell and there is absolutely no way that we were the only ones to point this out. I could actually go on and on but I think the most disturbing part of our "luxury vacation" was the reaction we got when we asked if we could add another 1.5 hours for a late checkout since we had such a late flight home and they said "no". We had left our room at 10 AM on our 2nd to last day (the same day we requested and they denied late checkout for the following day) and at 1:00 PM our room was not clean. So my fiancé called from the room and was hung up on twice (quite intentionally). When they finally answered and he asked for our room to be cleaned, they said no and asked us to wait until after 3. This makes no sense. They denied us a late checkout of 1:30 for the following day but tried to convince us they couldn't clean our room until after 3. We knew at this point that the front desk was intentionally messing with us since we complained about the filthy room and the odor on the towels. Their behavior was highly unprofessional and clearly vindictive. It only got worse from here, the morning of checkout, we received a text from the concierge that came off as a threat. They said if we were not out of the room at exactly 12 PM, they would add a charge. (We never argued when they said no) 2 more brief points, the resort isn't safe. I didn't do my research. I found a review where a woman's room was robbed (her 50K ring stolen). Our room looked like it was broken into at some point too (see pic room 422). Lastly, the swim up bar is not accessible. It was used as a jungle gym by children the entire time we were there. Same with the hot tub. It was filled with diapered infants and toddlers. There is no adult pool here and no rules enforced.

Yelp
We come here for surf at the monument then have a lunch. They have an incredible view, I love the vibe, great sushi and the best French toast! I haven't checked out the sunset from the rooftop yet, soon I will, it's looked so beautiful on my friend who stayed here's video.. The best hotel in Cabo!

Yelp
Worth.every.penny.!!!!! Absolutely breath-taking boutique hotel that will NOT disappoint. Stayed here for 6 nights for a wedding; I would absolutely return on my own. The hotel has 5 restaurants/bars inside, a main bar downstairs near the lobby ("Sunken Bar"), a coffee shop, a gym, a spa, and 2 pools (salt water and chlorinated). You have the choice of a room, suite, or a villa, with every room over-looking the ocean. Even the most basic rooms have incredible views off the balcony, and you are welcomed with a bottle of tequila. The rooms are big, have a beautiful bathtub and shower, are clean, and are well-stocked with water (and goodies every night). You can watch whales off your balcony from your swing at all times of the day, and bask in the sun and smell of the ocean. The infinity pool is the most amazing part of the property- it includes a hot tub, a swim-up bar, and endless views of El Arco. Both room service and the concierge were beyond helpful during my stay. The hotel made scheduling a Covid test to fly home very easy, and will help you with hotel transportation or an Uber. There are 2 gift shops on sight- but both are very much over-priced (so hopefully you didn't forget sunglasses with me). My favorite parts about this hotel were the food and the spa. The spa was one of the most relaxing experiences I've ever had, and I ended up booking an extra spa day. As for the food, I've never stayed at a hotel before where I loved EVERY single restaurant. Seriously great food, 10/10. Drinks and food are very expensive, but what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. There is no reason to leave the property to eat elsewhere; I was really impressed with the wide selection. They also offer room service 24/7, that allows you to order a few items from each of the restaurants. Loveddddd my stay at The Cape, and cannot wait to come back!!!

Yelp
I mean, this place was absolutely amazing. The minute you walk in, you're greeted by that gorgeous view of the bay from their lofty lobby check in. The check in was super quick and easy, the bell hops grab the bags from the car and we're very pleasant and took them to that room. Unfortunately, we didn't have any cash and they really didn't make us feel like not being able to tip them at this time was a huge disappointment to them. Of course, we grabbed some cash and tried to find the bell man later in the day. They did offer us to upgrade our room and that was definitely worth it. We got an ocean view with the swinging day bed which is where we spent most of the time. We actually fell out sleep on the day bed and that was absolutely perfect. Each one of the restaurant that we went to was amazing. The only thing that was not quite amazing was the drinks. They were OK but nothing memorable. The tacos at the poolside were great, the ledges breakfast was amazing, the servers were super friendly and always available for any needs. The poolside service was also pretty friendly but it was sometimes difficult to get one of the servers to take an order because they were running around. They did however constantly move our umbrella for us whenever they saw that we were getting in the sun, service like this could not be beat at all. The beach is somewhat rough as I realized most of the beaches in Cabo are. The sand was really nice and clean and absolutely gorgeous views regardless. The rooftop bar was also really nice, great views, really friendly servers, they even brought us blankets when it was getting cold! Again however, the only big drawback is that the drinks were not very memorable. Will definitely be coming back here if we head back to Cabo. One annoyance that we had was the first night that we came in, the AC was making this weird jackhammer like noise. Of course at 4 AM, I wasn't going to try and change rooms but we did mention it to the front desk in the morning and they sent someone up to take a look. It never happened again, not sure exactly what that was but they were very quick to try and address it. This place is definitely a must if you do come to Cabo. The guy who checked us in, I believe it was Carlos, was also really friendly and offered us the upgrade [obviously for a price] but he definitely did not push and we are very glad that we took him up on this because it definitely made the trip all that more memorable.

Yelp
Literally speechless. This hotel is unbelievable. From the service, kind staff, delicious food, clean rooms and stunning views, you can't beat this hotel. Everything about this place was incredible. Yes it's pricey, but if you want to feel like you're a celebrity this is your place. The only thing that's a negative is the high price point but it honestly isn't even a negative because you pay for what you get for. Whether it's the almost soundproof rooms or the private beach, money can't buy happiness but it can buy an amazing stay at The Cape. If you're considering, do it. You won't regret it

Yelp
From the desk of Flopsie the Corgi. As a corgi, I hate Cabo. Have you seen someone else wear a fur coat at the beach? It's Seriously hot here. Nonetheless, unless I shave myself into a chinese created, I'll make do with what I have. It does, however, having an amazing hotel staff to cater to my every need makes a world of difference. Let's start with this - the hotel is friendly. What that means is that, in addition to charging a cleaning fee, the grounds is suitable for dog. There is a private beach for me to roam free and to freely do my business (yes, your human needs to pick up poop but that's just basic courtesy). Plenty of shaded spots for me to walk amd chill out. The patio overseeing the sea of Cortez is a nice touch. I love the sea breeze on my drooling face. The "pet in room" sign is awesome. Like really allowing my humans to go out for a bite in peace. My bed and bowls were very comfortable (5 stars indeed). The staff is amazing. Most of the staff members shared that they have dogs at home so they said hello to me. I loved the treats at turn down. My humans said they would bring me back here because the hotel food is top notch! It's one of the best dining hotels they've ever stayed in (see my other reviews to get a sense of our baseline - probably considered pretty top notch for a dog's standard).

Yelp
Our stay at The Cape exceeded our expectations. I can't recommend this hotel enough. The property- Breathtaking! The pictures online don't do it justice. Aside from the beautiful architecture, the view of the arch is superior to most resorts in Cabo. Our driver (not hotel staff) said the rooftop at The Cape is a favorite spot for locals and tourists alike. The Rooms- Very clean! Cleanliness is a priority for me and the housekeepers did not disappoint. The room and floors were sparkling upon arrival and maintained well throughout our stay. Be sure to tip accordingly! The staff works hard and deserves the show of appreciation. The Staff- Everyone we encountered- the bellmen, concierge, restaurant, and pool staff were so professional, warm, and welcoming. They truly made us feel special and cared for. We can't wait to go back!

Yelp
We just stayed here for three nights during the Labor Day weekend. Overall it was a wonderful experience but not a 5-star stay. Check In: Lobby is this open air area, you see the beautiful ocean view as soon as you step it. We got to schedule our complementary COVID testing ahead as well. COVID Measures: All staff wear masks, most customers do as well when they are not by the pools. Elevators take no more than 4 people. Complementary COVID testing is nice. It was painless and quick, and we received the report via email in few hours. Hotel: it's a secluded beachfront hotel. It def gives a luxurious feel. The hotel itself isn't that big. Pools aren't that big either but perfect temperatures in daytime and nighttime. Restaurants: Manta and the Ledge are two main places to eat. Food are all decent but a bit pricy which is expected as it's within the hotel. Beautiful views and seatings at both the restaurants. There's a rooftop bar and make sure you make reservation ahead. There's a problem with it which will be explained next. Rooms: The top rooms are on the fifth floor, which are just below the rooftop bar. I would say rooms 501 to 508 are probably be affected the worst. The music from the rooftop bar is LOUD and the base is strong. If you sleep early or do not like loud music in general, you don't wanna stay at those rooms. The bar ends at midnight and opens daily. Every room has a beautiful ocean view and a patio. It's very nice to sit at the hanging daybed. The floor tiles can look dirty but they aren't. It's just the tiles. Rooms are well maintained and got a modern rustic feel. Beds are soft and comfy. Services: All staff are friendly and helpful. You can text the front desk for any request. They do turn down services daily and clean if you request, like they mop the floor for real. One negative part of the service is that they give filled water bottles daily and one time we got a bottle with residual soap in it and the water was soapy water... and my poor fiancé drank it without realizing it. Yuck. Overall: It's a wonderful stay minus few hiccups.

Yelp
One of my favorite hotels in Cabo! Located right on the beach and has a new modern look to it . The foyer is open and has this great refreshing view of the ocean and the arc. We have been here several times and always great service . They have a pool table and bar on the first floor and on ground floor they have the beach bar pool and beach access! On the sixth floor is the rooftop bar which is an ultimate experience ! Very tight security and all protocols for Covid were being followed! It's part of the world of Hyatt hotels and when we can to celebrate my husbands bday they made sure we were fully taken care of! Highly recommend The Cape!

Yelp
This hotel is beautiful! Food is delicious and most of the service is top tier. We stayed for a wedding with 60 guests and everything was phenomenal. In the middle of the wedding reception, the groom and groomsman went back up to our suite to change out of their military uniforms into something more comfortable and in the middle of the elevator ride it got stuck. They were not over max weight or max occupancy limits that were posted in the elevator and the emergency help button was not functioning. There also wasn't cell service in the elevator for them to get ahold of anyone. They spent 25 minutes inside that tiny elevator as it continued to get hotter and hotter, meanwhile 60 wedding guest are sitting down at the reception before dinner wondering where all the men in the wedding party are. They were eventually able to make a phone call and the 'rescue team' came and pulled the elevator door open to let them men climb out. I understand these things happen, it ultimately wasn't the end of the world and nobody was hurt beyond being massively uncomfortable while profusely sweating for almost half an hour. The hotel staff proceeded to blame the men for breaking the elevator and not once did the hotel apologize for the inconvenience. They proceeded to point fingers and hold an accusatory demeanor towards our entire wedding group for the remainder of the trip. Service literally went through the floor after this incident when the hotel in reality was 100% liable and negligent for the elevator not functioning properly. Too bad liability laws are non existent in Mexico and they know that so it was just too bad for us I guess. The icing on the cake was that we had 1 beer accidentally explode in the freezer. We cleaned it up best we could and the hotel charged us 300USD for that little hiccup. Our group generated the hotel an astronomical amount of money over this weekend. You would think the management staff would be a little forgiving with an incident like this especially after the elevator fiasco but nope, they did nothing. Yes this hotel is beautiful, everything is very very nice. But the higher up management of this place is atrocious. If you have the money to stay here I still do recommend it, just avoid the elevators like the plague and don't leave a beer in the freezer!

Yelp
Sexy Hotel with all the right everything. The rooftop is amazing, infinity pool over looking the surf break is mesmerizing. The rooms are well designed and all have amazing ocean views. Love this place!

Yelp
I usually would wait to write a review until my stay is over but, I have been so impressed that I can't wait. First, let me start by saying this hotel is very COVID safe, you enter through a sanitizing fogger when you walk in, hand sanitizer everywhere, UV lights used on room keys and pens when you check in, all the employees are wearing masks and gloves, all their dining options have outdoor seating and a majority of the hotel is outside. I am very sensitive about COVID and feel very comfortable here. Let me say, when I walked through the fogger into the outdoor lobby and saw the view, I literally said "Holy $hit!" Just an unbelievable view of the famous Arch and Ocean. It sets the tone, every room has an ocean view. The only time in the property you don't see the ocean is when you are in the elevator and hallways. It's amazing! They did a fantastic job with the design of the hotel. So much open air and space. The service, oh the amazing, world class service . I have already been to multiple restaurants on site and can say that the service, from the lobby, house keeping, spa, pool, restaurants are all best in class. You are treated like a VIP the entire time. This must be what LeBron feels like. The staff here does not miss a single beat. Everyone is very attentive and focused on your needs. I ask for something and have it almost immediately. Amazing service! They are all great, but Marina at the Rooftop was my favorite so far. You can tell she is smiling even with the mask on. She was great help when I was picking out dessert, and she just had a very positive glow and authenticity about her. Everyone is great, and has been great, she just had that little extra greatness about her. While you are here, indulge in a massage at the spa. I have been missing massages since the pandemic started and decided to have one here, why? The massage tables are outside in a cabana. Amazing! It was also a top notch massage, in line with Vegas spa pricing and well worth it. The salt water pool, jacuzzi, they are all outside with an amazing view. Trust me, it was the best thing I did so far. Steam room, sauna, all accessible from outside. This place was built to enjoy the beautiful weather and it shows. Very airy. I had a stellar acai bowl at The Ledge. It was the most incredible acai. Very fresh! Can say with 100% confidence that is my breakfast tomorrow, that's how good it was. The Rooftop has such an amazing vibe! Live music, great service, amazing view, try the brownie! Surprisingly great! The pool, the pool was the place to be during the day. It's an infinity pool with a bar and a steps away from crashing ocean waves. For my fellow travelers, reminded me of the Icebergs at Bondi Beach. Not exactly, the Cape pool is actually nicer. Make this your next vacation. Especially with everything going on, they've done a great job. I feel safer about COVID here than I do back home in Southern California. They've taken it very seriously, and it shows. Great experience! IG Tip: Get the Arch in your food shots.

Yelp
There are many hotels I would recommend over The Cape. We stayed in the most expensive room for 3 nights and couldn't even get coffee pods for the Nespresso machine. When you ask for anything, it's an inconvenience to the staff. The concierge was the worst.

Yelp
Next level. You ever have one of those stays that make you think about how beautiful life is?  There is no bad view in this hotel. Stunning!  From the moment we walked into the open air lobby with a view of the ocean and the iconic El Arco we knew we were in for a treat. Once we arrived in our 'Junior' suite we knew we were about to have a great experience. The  impeccable attention to detail with painted porcelain and tile that extended to the massive balcony was the epitome of great design and chic. Everything in the open layout room was situated to maximize the view - from the clean bathroom with glass box shower to the comfy bed in the center of the suite to the daybed swing on the balcony.  As beautiful as the room was, nothing beats that view from sunrise to sunset of the amazing rock formation jutting out of the gorgeous blue water.  The service was second to none from especially Jaime and Lenny at the pool. The food was another high point! Breakfast was awesome.  Our server even remembered our fruit orders each day.  We went to Manta, the hotel restaurant, for dinner one night and it was one of the best meals ever. As I write this I'm already thinking of when to get back here. I could see this becoming an annual stay in Cabo San Lucas. We will absolutely be back.

Yelp
I have to say I am very impressed with this hotel. This is the first time we went to Mexico and I was extremely impressed with the service we received while we were here. We ended up getting stuck an extra day there, due to the hurricane. The staff here was so accommodating and made sure we felt safe while the hurricane was coming through the area. You can't be any of the amenities at this hotel! Our favorite amenities have to be the pool area, the pool table they had, the gym, and all the restaurants! The gym had a peloton and I really enjoyed doing a 30 minute cycle to keep me energized throughout vacation. We didn't get to go to Manta, but I highly recommend you come here ASAP! Our room was extremely comfortable and was perfect for extended stay in Cabo. if you're looking for a really great experience in Cabo, I highly recommend you go to The Cape!

Yelp
Where to begin...the views from every single room are basically ocean views-a definite perk. The ocean views are spectacular, and waking up to waves crashing on the shore are what dreams are really made of. The rooms were pretty neat. The shower was great (as was the shower pressure) and the copper tub was a nice addition. We didn't use the tub but our baby did. A nice touch that was added was they gave us a baby tub and baby soap for our daughter (she hated it, but we used it as it was really helpful for us). The swing in the balcony was lovely as well-we really enjoyed sitting in it whenever we had downtime or just wanted to relax. Upon arrival, we received a nice refreshing tea. The lobby area is beautiful and opens up directly to views of the ocean and infinity pool. I love that you can see the arch from this hotel too. The pools were great and heated. We enjoyed both pools equally. The salt water pool had less people in it. The pool staff was generally nice and helpful. For two days though I had no idea you could order food because no one ever walked around to ask or take orders? Or I just didn't notice-in vacation mode I guess haha The beach area is not too big, but it seemed perfect. We enjoyed the cabana we had and the views from it one of the days we were there. So why the four stars? There were several things that could be improved upon. We had dinner reservations at the rooftop one of the days. My husband asked hotel staff if we could take our baby and we were told no kids allowed after 7pm...the rooftop serves food and isn't just a bar. There were loads of families with children. We had to stagger dinner times with my parents so they could watch our baby bc supposedly our baby wasn't allowed...all the staff isn't on the same page with the rules and guidelines. Rather than pointing us in the right direction-I feel answers are given without actually knowing if it is the correct answer. Sometimes when we needed something sent to the room it took 3-4 calls to get what we needed spanning multiple hours (e.g. in room slippers). Oh they have nespressos available but you have to call and ask for it. My dad called and asked and they seemed like they didn't want to give it to him-sometimes the vibe of the staff seemed off.. Overall, the hotel was nice and the views were great. I don't know yet if I would return but we did have a nice time here.

Yelp
We had such An amazing trip to cabo this past weekend. We stayed at The Cape for the first time, it's probably my 7th time to Cabo and all I can is wow this place is worth the money. Amazing ambiance, friendly staff, the pool was great. The hotel sits right over a great surf break - sweet infinity pool. So often the food at hotels in Mexico is awful but everything here was so good. I highly recommend the fish tacos and tuna sashimi. The staff is on point and friendly. Jaime, Hugo Romo Fabian and Ivan were the best waiters ever, more hotels should take notes how to treat their customers! We will definitely come back to the cape!

Angela G.

Yelp
I would give zero stars if I could. The hotel overcharged me $2,926.94 for 2 NIGHTS in March! I was shocked when I saw my Amex card. I've called the hotel repeatedly to seek a refund, only to be placed on hold and have the call dropped. I FEEL COMPLETELY VIOLATED. I am a frequent traveler and guest at Hyatt hotels. Never again. Seeking legal action if The Cape of Hyatt does not respond.

Yelp
I stayed at The Cape Hotel on 7/18-7/22 in room number 640. I wanted to let you know that we went down anticipating wonderful accommodations. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. 1. Service: The service was slow and poor at best. 2. Value: The prices for the service and overall experience was poor. I could not recommend this property to anyone over the Westin or Hilton in Cabo. 3. The pool was green, cloudy, and had debris in it while we were there. It was borderline not clean enough to have swimmers. Your staff seemingly didn't know or care enough about good pool chemistry and safe swimming conditions. 5. Upon my return home, I called your front desk manager and while he listened, he was seemingly uncaring or not concerned. 6. I am not sure how I could recommend your property to anyone from the US based on this experience. Disappointed and sad.

Hope S.

Yelp
Not an ethical business and very shady - DO NOT STAY HERE - we spent 5 nights here. Although we loved the hotel, we had a $2500 charge placed on our card in addition to hotel nightly rate for just being "guests". When we talked to front desk, they couldn't help explain why. They also said very clearly at check in breakfast was included in our rate, however at checkout they didn't honor that and resulted in significant additional charges. This hotel will straight up rob you and there's little you can do to remedy it.

Yelp
The Cape; a Thompson hotel, is a modern boutique property nestled in a cove amongst where the steady waves of the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific. The architecture of this sleek hotel is comprised of concrete, stone, ashy woods and the juxtaposition of nature's raw elements that somehow embellish the modernist look of the property. The Cape provides a bold and stunning backdrop to Cabo's beachfront oasis; offering a commanding view of El Arco (Arch of Cabo San Lucas), and guests are able to take lengthily strolls across the enviable stretch of powdery sands while whale watching or observing the surfers ride the waves of the bay. True to the high end brand's reputation for luxury status, the hotel accommodates 161 rooms which come in nine different categories, and vary in size and amenities. The mid century modern meets Latin American decor of the rooms are stylishly adorned, and the floor to ceiling windows gift guests phenomenal ocean views from the private balconies which include swinging daybeds and a welcome bottle of tequila. From the entry level deluxe rooms that are fitted with a cocktail bar stocked with premium liquor and a glass encased rainfall shower, to rooms that include oversized copper freestanding bathtubs, villas that include laundry rooms, or the 3 bedroom penthouse which boasts a private rooftop deck, wet bar and plunge pool, there truly is something for everyone in terms of experiencing the luxuriousness of The Cape. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and always willing to be sure the guests don't need to lift a finger during their stay. Whether a vacation includes swimming in this property's chic oceanfront infinity pool or separate salt water pool, ordering refreshing beverages at the swim up bar, indulging in food at one of the on- site restaurants (including the world class Mexican restaurant, Manta), sitting rooftop at the bar and admiring the panoramic views, indulging in relaxation of the ultra modern and chic spa, ordering fresh ceviche from the spacious terrace of the sunken bar, lounging beachside in an intimate cabana, or watching the breathtaking sunsets from the comfort of your room, you won't be disappointed in this Thompson property gem. The Cape is perfect for a wedding or anniversary, a girl's weekend, or even a family reunion. Now close your eyes and imagine yourself dozing off to the sound of the surf. The faint smell of the salty breeze drifts through the air as you snuggle into your sateen woven sheets and drift off to the best sleep of your life. I'll still be soaking in the tub.

Yelp
Meet peeping Tom @ The Cape for no added charge! My husband and I splurged for the $1300/night panoramic suite for our 10th anniversary equipped with a large deck and a plunge pool. I specifically requested lounge chairs so we could enjoy the sunrise. Much to chagrin natives had set up a makeshift peeping tower directly outside our room. If they would see us came out they would activate their drowns to fly over and (multiple) and then begin video tapping. Very, very disturbing and disappointing. While the view is priceless, this is by no means a luxury hotel. The rooftop bar is a vibe but lost all my interest after the drown experience.

Yelp
What can I say about this little-awesome hotel? Just great things. We wanted to stay here because our previous experience @ Playa del Carmen in Cancun, and this place is even better than the other two. Excellent staff and welcoming. The rooms are superb, with an exquisite taste, not too femenino or masculine, just right. They know how to make you fell in love with them with every single detail: A bottle of tequila waiting for you, Mexican candies and snacks, impressive views from every angle of your room. A very sophisticated food in each restaurants and bars. My only "but" as very proud Mexican-American I am is, that I saw lots of foreign people working here (very capable and nice) I just would love to see more of my people ( Mexicans) in this kind of places, and not just as waiters or regular staff I mean more like executive jobs and running this Emporiums. Can't wait for my return here. One of the best places to stay and hang out for young people in Cabo!

Yelp
This is a beautiful venue near the tip of Cabo San Lucas with great views to the breaching whales and scenery. The food is ok, far from superb but what is is the attitude and service of all the staff. Gracious, sincere and always helpful. So much so notable above the beauty of the venue. People here make the difference.

Yelp
I had been to Cabo with my wife before for my first ever All Inclusive experience. While I now believe that there is a time and place for that kind of experience (namely extended family trips), I knew that I wanted to try something different the next time I visited Cabo. I decided on The Cape because I had heard some people talk about how it was one of their favorite resorts and I can definitely understand why. I'll get minor gripes out of the way to finish the review on a high note, because I really did love my stay here. The Ledge, which is the only breakfast eatery on the resort always had a wait of 30-40 minutes, so it may be smarter to make a reservation. The resort is about 40 min from the airport so 1. That can be tough if you are making the trip with small kids and 2. Airport transfers can be pricey. The hotel is also pretty allergic to the words complimentary. While you can enjoy some Virtuoso benefits here, there really isn't much to make you feel like you scored something special, but when we went they were running at buy 3 stay 4 night promotion so can't really complain. Did I mention that I loved my stay here? First off, the rooms are extremely stylish with a beautiful copper tub focal point indoors and an amazing cushioned swing on the balcony. All the rooms are ocean front and from ours we could see whales in the distance and catch amazing sunsets. In fact, the sunsets from every vantage point on this hotel were superb. The resort offers an awesome welcome amenity of tequila and gourmet chili gummies (if you wanted any more, though, it cost $14) They also gifted my daughter a knitted whale. The design of the hotel itself is really cool with a very nice open air lobby area featuring amazing views. The pool and beach were great as well. Because my wife was nursing at the time, the staff was kind enough to let us use the cabanas free of charge so that definitely leveled up our experience. There is really only one pool, but I think it was perfectly adequate for our stay. It never got too crowded or crazy. Last but not least, the food at the resort was impeccable. From delicious breakfasts at The Ledge, to an amazing dinner at Manta, to even outstanding food at the Rooftop, The Cape never disappointed. Actually, I lied, this was probably the one time I was disappointed I couldn't get The Cape quality in an All Inclusive format.

Yelp
The nicest place in Cabo. From the moment you step foot in the open air lobby to the exceptional service from the servers, especially Fabian at the pool who learned my name the first day and would have my non alcoholic drinks waiting for me, this hotel is beyond. The food is some of the best I've ever had. The French toast is to die for. I had the best vacation of my life here. I can't wait to stay here again.

Yelp
This is a beautiful hotel with a terrific Ocean View! The architect of the hotel is first class. When I stand the rooms $800 a night plus, it really lacks first class service , food quality and choice, I don't think the staff is well-trained enough to work in a high-end type of Boutique Hotel. The food at the lunch was expensive and delicious , but the portion is very small and leaves you hungry. I used to spa and it was spectacular. The only thing is I almost die in the steam room. Without my glasses it was very difficult to find the exit door which is sort of hidden. I tried knocking on all the windows and hidden the red panic button over 30 times, but nobody came to my rescue. Thank God I was finally able to find the exit door. I asked the staff if they heard me hit the panic button? Said the hotel management has not connected the panic button for the steam room and dry sauna! Mortal story is even in the top Hotel in Mexico, the safety regulation is going to be a hit or miss

Yelp
This hotel provided us THE BEST experience we have ever had on a vacation. My wife and I got married here on March 30, 2021 and it was a dream come true. We obviously knew it was going to be amazing, but we had no idea that the service provided by their staff would make it way better than we could've ever imagined. The staff here made us feel so special, like VIPs. They were very approachable, attentive, friendly, and just simply exceptional. They never made us feel like we were asking for too much, they took care of us, and made sure we had everything we needed/wanted. I'd like to recognize some specific individuals: -The entire banquet staff that worked our wedding were the absolute best! These workers were: Eric (supervisor), Francisco, Freddy, Alex (Champion), Eduardo, Oliver, and Elizabeth. Every single one of these individuals are amazing. The staff made sure that all of our wedding guests were cared for as much as my wife and I were. Every time we would put a drink down, within a few seconds, someone came and refilled it for us. I want to give Eric a special shout out. When my wife and I were down by the beach taking pictures with our wedding photographer, Eric followed us, with multiple drinks and appetizers in hand, and stayed the entire time we were taking pictures. The attention to detail that was had was amazing, after our wedding we had rose petals set up on the bed and a bath drawn for us, as well as champagne and chocolate covered strawberries! The little things meant the most! -Our main point of contact for The Cape was Mariana. She remained in contact with us and our wedding planner and made sure that our special day was perfect. Mariana's hard work definitely did not go unnoticed and was greatly appreciated! -We had a meet and greet get together with all of our guests the night before the wedding. We had this down by the fire pit at the hotel. The food at the meet and greet and at the wedding itself was exceptional and by far exceeded our expectations. I want to thank the chef Alan Casillas for his exceptional cooking. During our entire stay (9 total days) there was not a single food that we did not enjoy! -The pool staff were also excellent, especially Gustavo! He always made sure we were taken care off and constantly checked in on us! -The Ledge restaurant staff were also really great. We had the pleasure of working with Jeremy, Jehu, July, and Mary and their service was extremely amazing. We were also helped by Eric, Francisco, Elizabeth, Freddy, and Oliver at the restaurant, who all worked our wedding, and their service was top notch. Because we got married here, we were given the opportunity to stay in a one bedroom villa for our trip. The room and view were amazing, it was always spotless and perfectly kept and truly felt so luxurious! Overall, we knew that our wedding was going to be beautiful because of such a gorgeous venue, but what really pushed our experience over the top was the exceptional staff and service. We can't wait to come back every year to see all of our new friends at our new FAVORITE place!

Yelp
After over-looking the dismissive service and impatient staff upon arrival, we waited an hour for a salad. I feel so dumb having told the waiter how grateful I was to be there only for them to provide genuine inauthentic service. The service kept going downhill and we kept making excuses because of the price we paid for that view. The cockroach that was over 3 inches long wasn't enough for them to apologize or offer any sort of room change. Only when we complained (could they at least change my sheets) did we notice how truly and utterly their lack of service was. This property failed their DUTY OF CARE to us. Why didn't they move us? Why was the floor still filthy days later? Why did we wonder if the black spots all over the floor were insect droppings? Why did they argue that they couldn't possibly? The negative impact on their failure to make amends has impacted me to no end. Sometimes when you are trying to be easy, you let people not value you as a customer. After reading the many similar complaints on trip advisor and no refund given for a dinner or round of drinks weighs heavy on me. Look at the Instagram view but spend your hard earned dollar elsewhere.

Yelp
We were recommended to stay at The Cape and so glad we did. Total WOW! Excellent service. Food was awesome. Uber to and from Cabo is approx $6.00 USD. San Jose del Cabo is nearby too. One of the most chic and trendy hotels we've ever stayed in. If you like a social "see and be seen" scene at the pool (model fashionable types - both male and female are everywhere), then this fabulous hotel resort is for you. The beds are the most pillow top soft you'll ever experience. I won't stay anywhere else now that I've been to The Cape. Get here now before Americans have figured it out!

Yelp
I'm a globalist with Hyatt and I've traveled to quite a few Hyatt properties - and the Cape has been by the far the best experience I've ever had in regards to food, location, service, staff, ambiance, etc. Truly probably top 3 resorts I've ever stayed at. My mom and I came here for a quick holiday getaway before Christmas (our first time to the Cape) and we were blown away by just how immaculate the property was. We ate at both restaurants and dined at the bar - food & drinks were delicious (get the chicken enchiladas with mole sauce for breakfast). The staff was unbelievable. We connected with Manuel - the Manager at Manta (the man knows his Mezcal & Tequila!) and he went above and beyond to take care of us, answered all of our Mezcal/Cabo questions, and provided the best recommendations for dinner! If your budget allows, I encourage you to try the chef's paring (with the wine paring, Thank you Daniella!) - best meal of my life! I so look forward to coming back to the Cape. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

Yelp
Lovely boutique style hotel in Cabo with the most beautiful beach views of the Arch. We stayed here for 4 nights over Labor day weekend for an Anniversary trip and everything was fantastic (until the last night which is why I'm only giving 4 stars!). We loved waking up every morning and watching the surfers catch waves from The Ledge restaurant while we ate breakfast. Literally the best french toast I've ever had and I normally don't like French Toast! The rooftop bar is a must for sunset, seriously gorgeous views! Loved the popcorn shrimp & chicken wings - both were fantastic! We sat poolside most of our days, enjoying lunch ordered by the pool! The nachos are fantastic, beer battered fish tacos are great - overall every meal we had was truly AMAZING. Our last night we decided to check out the "fancy" Manta restaurant. I was hesitant since I'm 5 months pregnant and the menu is mostly seafood, so we stuck with vegetarian options & Suckling pig cochinita, steamed bun, cilantro, habanero. Well I'm 99.9% sure we both got food poisoning from the pig. Woke up in the middle of the night our last night puking and everything else, it was terrible! I informed hotel management the next morning and their response was to credit us the $20 from the dish that got us sick (nevermind we spent $150 on the entire meal). I don't want to be a debbie downer because we really had an amazing time and I would totally come back here without hesitation. However, I would not (and wish I listened to my intuition) ever eat at Manta again! Adios Amigos!

Yelp
Disclaimer - I did not stay at this hotel, but came here a couple times for food and drinks. This review will be for the rooftop bar and restaurant only. Location: The location is great. It's pretty close to Playa El Medano and downtown. Atmosphere: The hotel itself and the rooftop are beautiful. Nice, clean, and modern. The ocean view from the rooftop is exquisite and really takes the whole experience to a new level. The Bar: I love the rooftop bar. It's fun, lively, and classier than other spots in Cabo. Drinks are good and the staff is friendly. The Restaurant: The food here is terrific as well. We were a large group, so I was able to taste various dishes. Everything I tried was really great.

Yelp
This place is next level. Our original venue for our wedding was shutdown for structural issues so we were left with limited options to keep our wedding date as invites were already out. Our wedding coordinator recommended The Cape. I can not begin to explain how amazing this place is. The service is next level. Accommodations our amazing, you won't find a better view anywhere Florencio, our contact for the wedding, I can't begin to explain how great she was. My new wife was in awe of everything they did. Our entire wedding party stayed at the resort and could not stop commenting how great this place was. If your looking for a place to stay or hold an event this is definitely the place to come.

Yelp
I'm not really sure where to start with this place! Every part of this hotel is just beautiful. The staff is on point, The food is delicious, and the pool is just beautiful. Every room overlooks the ocean- and most have a swinging daybed on the patio. I fell asleep every day on it! Hah. A little secret you can order a fresh coconut at the pool and even add a little rum in there for you. There's live music on the rooftop that overlooks the ocean and the sunset. The soaking copper tub in the room is also amazing! I soaked in there Cons- This hotel is definitely not placed on a beach where you'd be swimming - it's more for surfers.

Yelp
Everyone was unbelievably helpful. The room was incredible, food was delicious, infinity pool was perfect, property was immaculate and views of course were spectacular. Can't wait to visit again! Muchas Gracias!
