If you're in need of a beautiful event facility and want the red-carpet treatment from the staff, this is your place. From the inquiry stage to the end of our event, the coordinators and catering staff were the most helpful, professional people I have ever dealt with. Lydia and Nathan were always very responsive to my emails with never ending questions that came up over the year of planning. I was planning this rehearsal dinner for my son and soon to be daughter in law from Lafayette. Lydia met the bride and groom for a personal tour and after seeing this venue, they cancelled all the other visits we had scheduled because of the beauty of this facility. Both Lydia and Nathan made awesome recommendations for a florist, band and helped me customize my menu choices to perfection. They assisted me with decoration ideas as well. They bent over backwards to accommodate our 1 vegetarian guest and even made a call to me on our way to our event to ask about her vegan/vegetarian status. Chef wanted to make her a soup that fit into her diet. That was just over the top service to me. Let me not forget the filet of beef story. I overheard my niece talking with a guest after dinner about how mad she was at herself for not ordering the filet of beef. As she noted, at large events like this, the chef always over cooks the steak. When she saw the guests around her cut into their perfectly cooked, medium rare steak, she knew she made the wrong choice even though her fish topped with lump crab meat was divine. The open bar and wine tower is a must. My husband is a stickler about waiting at the bar too long for a drink at large events. The sparkling wine tower set our guests up with drink in hand right off the elevator. The bar tenders were never overwhelmed with lines and the wine selections for dinner was perfect with all 4 choices. I just can't say enough great things about this venue. It really is one of New Orleans best kept secrets...most of our friends from the area have never heard of this place which makes it so unique. From the date my son and his now wife were engaged, it was a year and half planning timeline. Between the two of them, they attended about 13 rehearsal dinners for friends prior to their own. They both commented that this one was the most unique and best food/service of any they had attended......of course, it was their own, but after the multiple specific compliments we received from friends and family, I know we hit this event OUT OF THE PARK !!!!!! FIVE Stars all the way⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Please allow me to express the sheer joy and happiness I experienced at my 70th Birthday Celebration at The Rooftop on Basin, June 10th. My guests were amazed at the professional, courteous staff. The beauty and cleanliness of the venue was well appreciated. Everyone and I mean everyone - the Chef, the servers and Dawn the bartender did a superb job. The food was delicious and drinks were flowing constantly. Nathan handled my event with exceptional expertise. His concentration to the details, floor plan and service were above and beyond my expectations. I could not dream of such a spectacular event. I was completely and thoroughly delighted. We made the logical choice of staying at the beautiful brakeman hotel while we were in New Orleans for a destination wedding. Especially seeing as we booked it at the rooftop on basin. The bed was very comfortable and the room clean and well stocked. The bridesmaids and myself got ready in this room and the photos came out gorgeous! Aesthetically very pleasing. The doorman, Mr Gregory was a great host. Simply delightful. We look forward to visiting and again staying at this charming historic hotel.

The views from this event location were breathtaking. You can see the New Orleans skyline and was perfect at dusk. The food was delicious and the event staff were all very professional and kind. We appreciated working with the whole in setting it up. They were quick to answer questions and responsive and helpful with anything that needed to be taken care of.

When my daughter and son-in-law decided on NOLA as the wedding destination, we count our lucky stars that we went to see The Rooftop on Basin! It may be one of the most underrated venues in New Orleans! From the moment I corresponded with Lydia Casler to the day of the wedding last Saturday with Nathan DeWeese in charge, The Rooftop on Basin has been top notch! So glad we made the call to use them as our venue! Let me give you a few things that they REALLY have going for them: Reasonable pricing, delicious food, friendly and accommodating staff, outstanding views of the city, amazing hotel rooms that can be blocked (and we used all 18 rooms for family and out of town guests!), on site parking that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, easy access on and off the interstate which is very convenient for all the guests, a variety of areas to use for cocktail parties, ceremonies and receptions, and most importantly to us, close to the Quarter but not in the Quarter (iykyk)! The Rooftop team were responsive to emails (keep in mind that Thursday to Sunday is the craziest time for them and they may not be able to answer you until Tuesday or so), had the most delicious and amazing tasting as well as arranging a special dietary restriction for a guest! Chef Mark is very talented and created an outstanding choices of menu items. Everyone on staff went above and beyond to be sure we were all taken care of the day of the wedding. I was told later it was all hands on deck because like everyplace everywhere, they were short-staffed. But let me tell you, I never--not once during the entire evening--feel that way! We truly appreciated everything they did from start to finish on making my daughter's wedding a night we'll never forget! Call them today--you won't regret it!

We hosted a social event at The Rooftop on Basin Street as part of our CMOLab conference, and it was nothing short of magical. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous; rich with history, beautifully maintained, and offering breathtaking views that gave our evening a real sense of place. It was the perfect backdrop for connection, conversation, and celebration. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about the ambiance and charm. The space is both grand and intimate, and an ideal setting for groups who want their event to feel elevated and meaningful. We’re so grateful to the team for helping us pull off a memorable night. We just had our Gala/Celebration at The Rooftop on Basin and it was an epic night!! Stacey and Lydia were absolutely amazing and ensured everything was perfect. The night of the event Nate was spot on with all of our needs. The food was absolutely delicious; Chef mark and staff knocked it out of the park as always! The wait staff and bartender were awesome. My friends are still raving about how good the food and service was! Many plan to call them for their next event. We have used Messina’s catering for my promotion, my husband’s deployment ceremony and for my 40th Birthday and will continue to use them for all of our events. They are simply the best! As you can see from the pics, it was an awesome night. Thank you so much Messina’s and staff for making our first Gala and my celebration of Kicking Cancer’s butt perfect! Can’t wait till next year! 💃🕺

The best venue for my husbands 50th celebration. The location, atmosphere, rooftop and food all were on point. The staff was very accommodating and great to work with. This place made my out of town planning stress free and a breeze. The hotel was amazing to our guests also.
