Witchy Fleetwood Mac Pop-Up Bar Debuts in Chicago With a Tarot Reader - Eater Chicago

"The Rookery in West Town has launched a new Fleetwood Mac-themed pop-up bar called Rhiannon. The event features seven signature cocktails, original art by local artist Michael K. Skrobin, and tarot card readings by Ashley Klich. The pop-up is named after Fleetwood Mac’s 1975 chart-topping song 'Rhiannon' and is designed to celebrate the magic of women and the mystical '70s rock vibe. It will be open every Friday, Saturday night, and Sunday afternoon through June 17." - Ashok Selvam

‘Rick and Morty’ and ‘The Shining’ Get Bar Pop-Ups in Chicago - Eater Chicago

"The Rookery will celebrate Stanley Kubrick’s masterpiece starting on Saturday through February 11 at a pop-up named Room 237. It’ll have actors hanging out onsite in character. Customers will be able to sip bourbons and movie-themed cocktails, according to a news release. The movie’s infamous bartender, Lloyd, will be on premises to mix up drinks including REDRUM (Three Sheets barrel-aged rum, pomegranate juice, lemon). As the film is based on a Stephen King book, the pop-up will also host trivia with questions pertaining to the prolific horror author. Music website Consequence of Sound is hosting the trivia portion, while Heaven Malone, Calliope Presents, and True Mother Records are producing the pop-up which will take place on The Rookery’s second floor." - Ashok Selvam

Really great service and the setting was really cool! The food was okay. I got the special fish tacos and it lacked some flavor but was overall pretty good. Fried brussel sprouts were great and they have a decent beer selection.

The bartender (who I believe may be the owner) was incredible. She really made my friends birthday extra special. The drinks were delicious, the decor was cool, the staff was friendly, and the drinks were tasty

Visited the Rookery on a Saturday for an early lunch. They had tasty drinks and made a good recommendation to me. They also have responsible prices for the children's selections. Also was able to check out 'The Dude's Abode' pop up, very well done. If your interested in a pop up you should try it out.

Popup bar not really worth it...why do all the cocktails have egg whites?...this champagne has edible glitter.

I visited the rookery for brunch on a Saturday. Food was good and reasonable priced. No wait and was moderately busy. Was able to check out the pop up bar 'the dudes abode' nice decorations. In a cool setting. If your interested in a pop up hightly recommend it. If your looking for a tasty brunch spot with good drinks recommend it.

Service is ALWAYS slow. I honestly have no idea why, there are some nights when you will be one of four or five tables and you still end up waiting. That complaint withstanding, this is a great restaurant. The Rookery has a great vibe inside, the decor is awesome and well thought out. The patio is also a wonderful place to people watch and enjoy the sliver of nice weather Chicago offers each year. Their cheeseburger is crazy good, make sure you ask for it medium well though, otherwise it may be undercooked. On our most recent visit, the burger came out not done enough and although we hate sending stuff back we had to on this occasion. The server was awesome, despite the slow service, as he apologized for the burger, had a completely new one cooked to order (fries too!) took it off the bill, and apologized again. That's how you secure a potential return customer.
