"The charismatic, gold-toothed Kozeen Shiwan proves to be quite the showman at this theatrical restaurant centred around a 14-seat marble counter. Kozeen and his team work away in full-view, on a menu inspired by his life, with dish names like ‘Made in Suleymaniah’, ‘Safe in Turkiye’ and ‘Coming to Finland’. The cooking has a creative streak and demonstrates great finesse across dishes that push plant produce – from beetroot to potato – to the fore; a vegan menu is also available. The thoughtful drinks pairing enhances the unique experience." - Michelin Inspector

This is not a dinner, it’s a Wold-class show with magical atmosphere and incredible taste experience. Such a bold mix of Middle East culture mixed with Nordic stile gave us an unforgettable memorie. And of corse with full vegan options. Thank you for such a high class service!

Food was very good and well prepared and a very nice concept. You can see how the chef is very meticulous and I think was a good experience overall, my personal favorite was the date. The two big BUTS are the winelist, it is very reduced to like 4-5 options and the focus on a kind o organic wine that is very bad and the chefs egocentricity. You can ser this on his pictures and in my opinion to some extent this is nice but it literally is everything about him and such ego kind of ruins or you forget the purpose of why you were there (because of the food) also he explains every dish super fast and with so many ingredients is almost impossible to follow on what you are eating

A wonderful experience. Something very different in Helsinki. Very well thought plates. My high was the sorbet 🍧 Just amazing trick play with ingredients and technical knowledge of skilled cooking techniques. King of potato was missing something in my mouth and I felt a little hungry again after 2-3 hours. Service was warm and professional. Wine expert needs to carry herself with a little more confidence. You have it young lady. Take your stage.

Newest Michelin restaurant in Finland. Worth every penny. Whole experience is awesome. Would not change a thing. And will go again. If I can get a table. 14 spots, 8 courses of greatness. Whole course based on chefs history. Nice concept

The restaurant The Room has earned its Michelin star! The dinner was an amazing experience in terms of the restaurant space, the tasting menu’s story, the recipes, the flavors, the service, and the atmosphere. Kozeen is a storytelling professional who knows how to take care of customers. The food was inventive and delicious. I will return again!

The food, the presentation, the atmosphere, the service, the music pairing. Everything in this restaurant was planned to the smallest detail for a awesome dining experience. Definitely my best restaurant experience in Finland. The dishes where planned and prepared very creatively. Yoy can immediately tell that the chefs love what they do. They do not just "follow recipies", instead put thir soul into creating something that is a heaven for tastebuds. They take pride in what they do, knowing they do it well, and it shows in the best possible way! The serving staff was very friendly, easily joining in on quirky jokes and conversations. Always answering to the detail about any questions we had regarding the dishes. Will visit again!

Food itself was innovative and well prepared. But the portion were super tiny to the point that we left hungry after 8 courses. One would expect small portions in fine dining but a course consisting of one (!) olive is not acceptable as a course, in my opinion. Also a course with one boiled potato as it’s main ingredient, is not something that you would expect getting as course in any restaurant… There was no ready option for wine pairing to all of the courses. They offer a ”beverage” package to the menu, but this included wine only to some of the courses and 2 of the courses had a juice paring and last course with a choice of coffee or tea. We wanted to substitute the juices and coffee with wines and asked to see a wine list. This however, was not possible, because "it would have ruined the atmosphere of the dining room". We did get the wines for all of the courses but without the opportunity the choose. Some of the wine pairings were excellent whereas some did not compliment the flavors of the course at all. When the bill came, we had been charged up to 25 euros per glass for some of the wines we had. Even in Finland, I think that is an outrageous price for wine! I did comment on that to the staff, the answer was that the wines were of ”3 star quality” and they had to open some bottle just for us which put the prices up…Without seeing a wine list with prices first, I felt we were being scammed. Even though we did enjoy many of the flavors that were served to us and the waiters were super polite and professional, the overall experience left us hungry and we felt it was not good value for the money (410 euros for 2 persons) we spent.

The whole evening was a beautiful and delectable experience. The dishes represent different chapters of the chef’s biography and were served using ceramics custom-made for every dish. The whole concept is absolutely unique, and we were pretty full after the dinner. Food wise I’d like to especially point out how exceptional King Potato and The Unknown were, truly exceeded all expectations.
