LOVED this coffee spot. Tons of seating for lots of people in front and back. Only one bathroom. The music playing was great, and baristas were top notch. Incredible pastries. I had the cherry almond pop tart. The cold brew was smooth. So glad I stopped in while visiting Colombia. Parking is tough so plan on paying from 8am to 8pm

We were looking for good, local, coffee shops on TikTok while we were in town. The Roosevelt Coffeehouse was one of many recommended, but upon visiting the website, the first statement that caught my eye was: “The Roosevelt Coffeehouse is built to support organizations fighting the injustices of hunger, unclean water, and human trafficking both locally and around the world.” This mission alone made the decision to visit an effortless one. Stepping inside, the ambiance was both serene and inviting, open-concept, thoughtfully designed space that immediately felt welcoming. Despite it bustling with customers, seating was abundant, and the service was warm, attentive, and impressively efficient. Their coffee menu caters to every preference, offering a range of expertly crafted selections. For those who prefer dairy alternatives, they provide both almond and oat milk. Notably, their coffee is not overly sweet, allowing the depth and complexity of the roast to shine through beautifully. In addition to coffee, they offer a selection of pastries, bagels and other eats. For drinks other than coffee they have an assortment of teas, juices, and artisanal sodas. Guests can enjoy complimentary WiFi and filtered water, while a curated merchandise section adds to the experience. As an added delight, the space also serves as a live music venue, making it far more than just a coffee shop, it’s a thoughtfully curated destination with a purpose.

Walking in to a very busy Coffee joint is always daunting wondering how people will be, how long it will take, if there will be enough seating - I can assure you at Roosevelt, there was only positivity and efficiency! Kind and helpful staff with knowing what to order and they worked quickly but with care making their drinks and baked goods for us. The Coffee was delicious: Cold Pour was smooth and the Latte balance of roast to flavor and foam was made perfectly. Our food was a Toaster Pastry that was somewhere between a Tart and a pie crust that was crispy and flavorful. Additional seating in the back made it easy to find a home while we enjoyed our order and the WiFi made it a great choice to hangout for a bit and get some casual gaming done. Highly recommend!

Google
Was visiting Columbus for a concert and this little coffee shop is amazing! The coffee is delicious with their crafted drinks having just the right amount of sweetness. They have a record player and records to choose from to put on some music which really adds to the vibe of the place. The staff was very friendly and ready to answer any questions and service was fast. Plenty of seating to go around. Would be a great place to sit and study or read while enjoying some fantastic coffee! I got the cinnamon roll cappuccino and my sisters got hot chocolate and a s'mortado. They have bags of coffee you can purchase and some apparel as well, it's coffee for a good cause that goes towards helping the community! Glad we decided to check it out while in town!

Google
The Roosevelt is amazing. Not only do they roast incredible coffee that you can take home and brew on your own — but their cafe creates unique and well crafted drinks. We have been here numerous times and gotten everything from a simple drip coffee to their more elaborate seasonal drinks and are always impressed with their creations. The atmosphere is open and engaging. Their baristas are so inviting and kind. And They also have a record player in house that they use for music. On top of all that, they give back to the community in such a beautiful way. So worth the trip!

Google
I've come here a few times to plug in and enjoy a drink. It's a good space.. spacious, natural light, WiFi, outlets, tasteful music, and great staff. My basic oat milk latte was good quality and was clearly made with skill. For a more interesting drink, I had a summer seasonal "herb garden". The flavors were very reserved and could have popped more, but I appreciated that it was a subtly sweet drink that didn't overpower the espresso. They also serve up Sammy's bagels and some good-looking pastries. I'm sure I'll keep finding myself here in the future.

Good amount of seating. Excellent coffee. Tasty breakfast baked goods including muffins and bagels. A relaxing place to drink a cup of coffee and read the newspaper

Google
We visited on a Thursday morning and although parking was a little tricky, it wasn’t too busy inside. My group all decided to get the homemade pop tarts along with our delicious coffee and I would highly recommend!! All of the flavors are outstanding. The vibe of this place is amazing and is a great place to get work done, meet up with friends, or enjoy a nice morning reading. I want to come back as soon as possible and highly suggest everyone check this awesome place out!

Yelp
The atmosphere was quiet and amicable. The baristas were diligent about taking your order and making it to your standards, very welcoming. I tried a summer special: iced spice peach latte (said to be their best selling special, ever). Although it included peach purer, it wasn't overwhelmingly peachy. Very nice taste. My husband had a black tonic (espresso tonic), he said it was good. The brookie, though... (cookie+brownie) absolutely worth it - and vegan friendly. Delicious.

Yelp
What a beautiful shop! The workers were very kind, and I really enjoyed my time here. If you're a coffee lover, I think you'll like it here. I'm a bit picky with my coffee and prefer a sweeter drink, and my drink kinda missed the mark in that aspect, but overall, it was good coffee. I will probably be back to try something else!

Yelp
The coffee is great. The service was exceptional and the spiced peach latte that was recommended by the staff was really good.

Yelp
This is one of the best coffeehouse in Columbus. Always a great place to hang out and catch up with friends. Coffee is great and they also have tea options as well. Baristas are super friendly and knowledgeable.

Yelp
One of the coolest coffee shops in Columbus especially near downtown area. Big windows, friendly staff and cool vibes. Traditional coffee and beverages menu guaranteed to please all.
google avatar

Yelp
I got a cold pressed coffee with honey, it was good coffee! Love the vibes inside and the mission of this coffee shop.

Yelp
We decided to try this coffee shop and it did not disappoint. It was very clean and neat. Trendy with many people using their laptops. The staff working the counter was helpful. The cappuccino was very good. We both ordered Asiago cheese bagels for lunch. Mine was perfectly toasted and very good with cream cheese. My husband enjoyed his with butter. We shared a Brookie: half brownie and half chocolate chip cookie for dessert. It was tasty but a little crumbly. We would definitely come back again if we are in the area. We also used the ParkColumbus meter/app to park on the street.

Yelp
A fun hipster coffee shop to casually hang out or catch up on some emails. Plants all have names and they play dope vinyls. The viet coffee I ordered took awhile to come out.. like 20 minutes. So it was a bit awkward having coffee with a friend but without coffee in front of me for so long lol. Viet coffee... was actually not as strong as I was hoping but it was still a decent drink Parking can get hairy if it gets busy but there's a small handful of spots along their storefront

Yelp
What a cute spot to meet for coffee or work from! Came with two of my colleagues to get some work done in the morning and the place was packed! Thank goodness that my colleague got us a table beforehand. The space is large with a second floor which was blocked off when I was there, so not sure what's up there. The space is filled with large windows so there's lots of natural light beaming through. The staff are friendly and had a cute display of baked pastries/ goodies. I opted for a bagel with cream cheese and an iced Viet coffee. The bagel was dense and you apply your own cream cheese to it. The Viet coffee could have used a bit more flavour and strength. I made sure it's dripped in the same way as a regular Viet coffee in Vietnam, but I think it could have used a better flavouring/ bean. It was a good work experience at this coffee shop up until unfortunately they lost power and the entire store went dark. We sat around for a couple minutes to see if the power would come back on but unfortunately had to leave early since we had lost access to wifi. Not something that Roosevelt Coffeehouse could have done about it since it's probably city lines, rather than their coffee shop. At this point, many others were also leaving since there was no power left. Overall, I enjoyed the experience here as the vibes were great and the atmosphere was welcoming.

Yelp
I usually like Roosevelt. Owner is a great guy. Part of the revenue prodit is given to charity. Not sure if they are roasting their own beans or have a deal with another roaster that brands them under the Roosevelt name, but their own coffee has many varieties under the Roosevelt brand, which you can buy on site. Has bagels and limited pastry. You get it.... Service was average Pleasant, reasonably paced at getting the coffee out. Its popular spot so there was a line the entire time we were there. Nice soft rock was playing in the background. Good sized space with plenty of seating. Seating is pretty much at wooden four top tables and a coffee bar/stools. My husband got a drip. Order it for here and you can get free refills. I ordered a honey cap made with oatmilk and cinnamon shaken on top. Came out in a nice cup with a frothed heart design. It had nutty undertones, the cinnamon was a bit clumpy. Milk was a bit burnt. Upon leaving I stopped at the restroom. That needed a lot of attention. Parts of it were dirty that didnt involve winter weather foot grime. Made me wonder if they clean it regularly and that grossed me out. Then went to throw my paper towel out and the trash can was broken and lid wouldn't open up. Probably would of not gotten coffee had I visited bathroom first, tbo.

Yelp
I was in Columbus briefly to visit family and stopped here before heading home. Super cute coffee shop, very bright and inviting. I wanted a honey latte. So I go up to the counter just to find out that it was their Anniversary and my drink was free! Happy Anniversary to The Roosevelt, I will definitely be back here again if I'm ever in Columbus to support them. They seem like a genuine local business that really cares about their community. Plus every person behind that counter seemed friendly, and my drink was delicious. 11/10 recommend.

Yelp
Super cute cafe that has a record player going. The records are all lined up and you can look but you cannot touch. From what I understand you can request an album to be played. They will add it to the queue and it says they don't skip songs or albums. It was nice because I got to hear music I otherwise wouldn't know about! I saw a lot of people working and their wifi was strong. The food and beverage was good, however nothing of extreme note. I think I enjoyed the vibes the most, the music and low hum was nice. Their shirt selection was adorable too! My only complaint was the lack of syrups for flavoring. I'm not expecting every coffee shop to have 20+ syrups but this one had maybe 5 or 6. But hey, I get it, sometime simplicity is the way to go. Overall: cute place with good vibes and good coffee

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, friendly service, very good coffee for a good cause. Recommend and would return.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing customer service! The barista serving us was super sweet and helpful. The quality of the espresso was outstanding and they have such a wide range of cool drinks to try! I also just love the vibe of this place, they were spinning some great records throughout the day. 10/10 spot to study or catch up over coffee with old friends!

Yelp
Casey was so great! Wonderful dirty chai, AMAZING homemade pop tart, great location and vibes! I'll be back!

Yelp
Great downtown socially responsible coffee shop that offers exceptional service and coffee. They have a nice selection of breakfast options and make excellent coffee. Plenty of tables available teleworking and plenty of street parking is available.

Yelp
Today (03/09/24) was my first time here and it was a great experience. I loved the floor to ceiling windows, music was chill and not too loud, the service was friendly , and my cortado and bagel were delicious. Do I recommend and will I return? Yes!! It's a great spacious spot to do work.
google avatar

Yelp
Great coffee, nice big cups, great place to study or work. I love the background that you can see from the back of the space. However, I have been here two separate times two years apart and both times I was unimpressed with the service. Both times I had different baristas but the vibes were the same: snooty and unfriendly. I don't need a chatty barista, I don't need a super smiley one, but I would like to not feel judged that I asked about a flavored latte. I would like to not leave wondering why they were trying so hard not to roll their eyes. If this would have happened one time I would not have rated it, but the fact that it happened twice leads me to think it may just be the coffee shop.

Judi L.

Yelp
Really good coffee! And here's their mission statement: "You are supporting more than a coffeehouse. You are supporting the efforts of those working to fight the local and global injustices of unclean water, hunger, and human trafficking. We partner with organizations that we KNOW are building wells and latrines, feeding people locally and internationally, and rescuing & restoring dignity to those who have been enslaved." Happy to buy their coffee!

Yelp
I've been to this coffee shop multiple times, and each time they're busy and the coffee is delicious! They always have wonderfully creative seasonal options, that are sure to hit the spot! There is space inside to sit near the coffee bar, but usually it is pretty packed and definitely filled with laughter and conversation. Not necessarily a quiet place to work but a lovely place to meet friends! There is shared tables right when you walk in, and this space is usually more quiet except for the frequent door and foot traffic interruptions. They do have a few food options-- my favorite being the homemade pop tarts. Parking is not optimal as the lot is super tiny. If this location is close to you and accessible by foot or bike then this would be a perfect option for you!
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in between meetings. They had lots of room to work and the employees were awesome! Definitely a good vibe. It is a little loud but that's just all the passion happening inside. Cute spot!

Yelp
Night coffee spot with a lot of space. It was perfect for our small group meeting in the back. The coffee drinks I had were great.

Yelp
Best matcha iced. And pumpkin spice latte. Nice vibe. Going again for sure!I loved this place.

Yelp
Best all around coffee shop in Columbus. Friendly staff, high quality specialty coffee, plenty of seating, and a great vibe lead to a lot of productivity in this shop. I particularly love their rotating coffee on drip. The bagels are awesome and cheap! The parking isn't the best, but thats what happens when you go downtown. Just ask the baristas if you get double parked! This is the perfect place for students, business meetings, dates, or slow reading days. My favorite coffee shop in Columbus.
google avatar

Yelp
I have been visiting this particular coffee shop for years and have never been disappointed with the artisan coffee recipes that they curate or create! A social conscious business who aids in saving lives and creating awareness for the brew to you. It's very cool. Coffee is treated with such high regard as well! Their Smortado is so darn brilliantly delicious! Seasonal coffee beans and beans from regions; Peru, Ethiopia, Costa Rica, and Colombia (aye!) to name a few. You can get a subscription, merch the whole nine yards! Just ask! It's so important to support local at all costs. We must as consumers help our small businesses make it through these tough times. It's worth it! 5 stars for keeping me well caffeinated, pandemic or no pandemic.

Giovanna C.

Yelp
I really loved my experience and the atmosphere. the music played was really nice as well. The only thing I didn't like was the prices, but overall a great place to visit!

Yelp
Wonderful ambience, reliable Wi-Fi, speedy service, and delicious strong coffee. Roosevelt has a wide variety of drinks and flavors available. This coffee house supports anti human trafficking efforts and provides free menstrual products.

Yelp
Roosevelt Coffeehouse is a really cool coffee spot with a minimalistic industrial feel. They have really great high quality coffee drinks. I was looking forward to their s'mores cortado I've seen pictures of, but they only offer that in the fall. The place is massive with plenty of different areas to sit at and they also have a stage setup in their back room. Their pop tart pasty was really delicious especially since I haven't had one since I was a kid and it was basic pop tarts from the box. They play music from their huge selection of records and they were nice enough to play my request. The location looks like it's a nice modern up and coming area of downtown. One thing I really love about them is they are a non profit that donates to great causes. If you're looking to get your caffeine fix I highly recommend this place and also contribute to a great cause!
google avatar

Yelp
The Roosevelt Coffeehouse is a cute, spacious cafe that I had the opportunity to visit when I was in town for a conference at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Their s'moretado is such a cute and unique idea - when I saw photos of this drink on their Yelp page I knew I had to come check this place out! The cafe itself is actually quite spacious, and there are plenty of tables for you to come and meet up with friends or sit down for a few hours to get some work done. There's also lot of natural lighting and the vibes of this cafe are just great. I actually stayed long enough I ended up ordering a second drink / snack during my visit. Servers are friendly, drinks are delicious, and the ambiance is great. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the Columbus area!
google avatar

Yelp
I've heard such great things about this coffeehouse and it didn't disappoint! I'm normally a tea drinker so its hard to find coffeeshops that have a variety of tea shops but they had a variety of great teas (hot & iced). All of the tea options they had can be hot or iced, which I appreciated. I got the Ginger Peach tea (iced) and it was really good, highly recommend this option to any tea drinker fans out there. The vibe of the coffeehouse was very warm as well, the employees provided good customer service as well. If you can work from anywhere, this place has great Wi-Fi and nice space to work from.

Yelp
Doing great things for others. Not only does the Roosevelt coffeehouse make great coffee but they do great things. I'm not very knowledgeable about what they're doing for others but I saw evidence of their desire to do good on some of the signage in the shop. I've visited Roosevelt coffee House on a late Saturday morning after just coming from another coffee house. Roosevelt was completely packed and the other place hardly had anybody in it. I wondered why Roosevelt had so many people in it unlike the other coffee shop. I wonder if it's because Roosevelt has lots of seating and have a better coffee menu. Coffee menu. Roosevelt coffee house has the typical third wave coffee's, like the pour over, Cortado, latte. But what I think makes them stand out from coffee shops in the Columbus area is their seasonal coffee menu. At the time of this visit it was fall and one of their seasonal drinks was a Smore's Cortado. They put something around the rim of the cup and placed on a skewer were small marshmallows that were burnt with an open flame. There is lots of seating at Roosevelt coffee House. Most of the tables are four person tables. There are some tables for two people.
google avatar

Adam C.

Yelp
I stopped by The Roosevelt for a quick coffee and was impressed. They offer a full menu of fair-trade, ethically sourced coffee with plenty of seasonal favorites. I went for a chai latte and it was lovely. My boyfriend was happy with his cinnamon cappuccino too and it was likewise delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
Best coffee in Ohio! I read a review that this is the #1 coffee shop in Ohio. It lives up to its expirations. You walk in and the over whelming of fresh brewed coffee floods your nostrils. It's spacious and bright with huge windows facing the street and there is meter parking right outside the joint. Plus a few spots for sitting out side which makes it doggie friendly! Service is fast and friendly letting you taste test the house drop coffee if you ask. The Fala's and Guatemala coffee were both well bodied and delicious. They also have pour over options if you like to be a true coffee snob. I saw 5 pour over options when I visited. All also for sale by the bag. I tried a sessional drink called the S'mortado. It was well worth the $4.50 I paid for it as it was served just as a fancy cocktail. I also just got a standard almost iced latte to go which was also delicious. Their products are on point and what makes it even better is part of their proceeds go to various different organizations to help with human trafficking, clean water, Salvation Army and many more do good places. I wish this place was located in CLE it would be my go to spot.

Yelp
It is my first time visiting this downtown location. The shop is cute~ I mainly came for this unique seasonal drink. It was beautiful and tasty! The staff were very friendly as well~

Elaina T.

Yelp
I love the Roosevelt! All the baristas here are so cool and pleasant! I love that they play music using a record player. There are two main spaces- one which is noisier with the bar and record player, and one that's quoted and great to hunker down and get work done. They have bar seating which is really cool, you get to watch the baristas do their thing which is really unique. I love that there is so much natural light. Very clean and good vibes. The coffee is always amaze. They have something for everyone! They take their latte art seriously which I can appreciate It seems like they like to get to know and chat with their customers which has been by experience! & they support and donate to organizations which I can get behind!!!! Live laugh love the roosevelt

Noa M.

Yelp
I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but I can firmly say this is my favorite coffee establishment in CBUS! I ordered the Vietnamese coffee, while my boyfriend had a caramel flavored something or other. My drink was smooth and had a pure coffee flavor. I wanted mine a little sweeter, so I got an extra pump of syrup. I also like humanistic aspect of Roosevelt, as they advocate for several causes. I noticed it was crowded with students, but it was still quiet. Overall, this place has good vibes. And hey, check out the alley nearby that's full of cool street art!
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
Thank you for making a delicious extra hot almond milk latte. It is our first stop in the AM and by far makes our day! The staff is WONDERFUL. We prefer curbside anytime it's available and this staff does a fantastic job of timeliness and safety. I thank you all for your continued mask wearing- as delta #'s surge. THANK YOU!!
google avatar

Marcia M.

Yelp
I love The Roosevelt! Let's talk why... first of all the coffee is phenomenal! The space is open, clean and the vibe is one that I can only describe as calm. I know that if I need a quiet, chill coofre shop to work in, it'll be The Roosevelt! Plus the staff is super nice! I've never had a bad experience here.

Taylor H.

Yelp
Huge fan of this place, especially for a treat before work. Everyone is incredibly nice, service is quick and the inside is very calm and welcoming. Definitely check out the food offerings, the pop-tarts and muffins are amazing!
google avatar

Cheryl B.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop in the center of downtown. It's really cooL that they have albums here and a radio that you can play them on. Plenty of seating available as they also have an upstairs loft area. The prices are decent. Not a large selection of pastries. Also, there are some limitations on drink requests. Coffee is good, Chai excellent, hot chocolate, okay. Be prepared to wait as the service is a little slow.
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
As someone who has been with them since they were a pop-up years ago, the only reason I haven't submitted a review is because I had assumed I had done so YEARS ago. Let me remedy that right here & now. I would give 6 stars to Roosevelt if only possible based on their mission to give back & make a real (& delicious!) difference in the community - both near & far! It feels good supporting a small business who thinks beyond their own profits & grows with the community. There is some on-site parking spots available, but plenty of metered spots are also an option. The interior of the spot is open & airy with tons of natural light pouring in through the massive windows. Oh, do yourself a favor & try their coffee lemonade. It is my favorite coffee drink of any kind, ever!
google avatar

Lakie F.

Yelp
pretty good coffee, not my fave around cbus, but good enough for what it is! i think it's a bit pricy, that's just the one thing, i've only been to this location a few times though. one barista in particular i really really like! one experience was a bit -weird-, but the drink is good and good for maybe a once a month/once every other month trip. cute designs around the shop too though!
google avatar

Jenny H.

Yelp
I love this coffee shop. It has a nice vibe and the staff makes an amazing cup of latte. The alternative milk they use are the high end and not store brand so the richness really come through. The staff are very friendly and it's a spot for conversation, study.

Yelp
Wow, has this Discovery District changed over the past 10 years! Gone are the abandoned warehouses, and in are the apartments. I remember when 6th was nothing but businesses, and not as pleasing to the eyes. Roosevelt Coffee Shop has a great location for plenty of foot traffic. Inside was very relaxing. White walls and giant windows let in much appreciated light (yay for vitamin D). It really gives off a happy vibe, perfect for meeting and chatting with friends, or bringing your laptop and working (just ask Jayme H!). Coffee is done right, here. True tamp/press/pour espresso, none of the generic Starbucks push a button hum drum. Plenty of caffeine options as well as chai tea, matcha, and hot chocolate. I went with a orange pistachio donut hole and a hot chocolate - the larger mug. The donut, I believe, is from Destination Donuts (in the North Market). It was a bit on the drier side, perfect accompaniment for the coco. I love their cute umbrella-shaped European-inspired mugs, as opposed to the boring tomato-canned cylinder shaped coffee mugs most places serve. My hot chocolate had good flavor. They were out of whipped cream, bummer!, but all the more reason to come back.
google avatar

Asheritah C.

Yelp
The staff was super-friendly and helpful in answering all my questions. I ordered the lemon blueberry pop tart (which was bigger than my hand) and a large mocha, and both were delicious! Will make this a regular stop on my CBus trips.
google avatar

Terrence M.

Yelp
So as promised, I came back to try their seasonal drink the Smoretado... The presentation of this drink is amazing!!! It was displayed on a orange saucer with small toasted marshmallows on the side. The cup was lined with chocolate and some crumble. It was great! As for the drink it self, it is not sweet. So if you're expecting that I wouldn't indulge. With that said, the drink is pretty good. The espresso and the milk balance each other other out. It did not leave a bitter taste in my mouth (some coffees do). I appreciated this cute lil drink. I do wish it was placed in a mug instead of a glass cup but hey! Overall this is a great drink to grab and enjoy for the fall!
google avatar

Patty R.

Yelp
The coffee was okay, but they didn't make a cappuccino correctly. Not many places do so I didn't have too high of hopes but still. Not too much seating inside but the outdoors area was pleasant even in the winter. Fast service probably better to go here just for the bar not the coffee
google avatar

Saleh R.

Yelp
Hip ambience, good coffee and friendly staff. It has plenty of seating and easy parking. Free wifi. The music is not overwhelming.

Yelp
One of my favorite coffee shops! I often come here when I need to work on stuff since they have large tables in a separate room. They have great pastries, bagels, and different coffee beans. The pour over bean I tried today had hints of caramel and pear (how neat?!) and it's SO good. I'm giving this a 4/5 stars for two reasons. The first would be parking. There's a small parking lot next to the coffee shop, and people often park behind one another. I've had my car blocked in a time or two, which is annoying.. but the baristas do shout out to see if whoever is driving the car can move it. If the lot is full, there is pay meters right in front and to the side. Second reason is sometimes it can be really loud in the main room! They have a record player and often play music, but it's louder than usual coffee shop background music. If you're in the back room with tables, it's not so bad. If you're in the main room trying to focus/do work, it can be a little too loud for that! Something to keep in mind. Small peeves that I can usually overlook for some great coffee :)
