The Rose Establishment - Review - Downtown - Salt Lake City - The Infatuation

"The Rose Establishment has always been a small, casual breakfast joint where you would find skiers wearing beanies and people who stalk the farmers market for stew fixings. Then, in 2021, it expanded into its previous neighbor’s space, adding a full-service weekend brunch option that’s a total crowdpleaser. If you’re still riding the avocado toast train, you’ll find a new favorite in the cafe—it has roasted mushroom “cream cheese,” zaatar, and a smoked jalapeño vinaigrette. When you’re ordering from the full-service brunch side, get the Caramel Apple Streusel Waffle topped with cinnamon whipped cream, or breakfast tacos filled with scrambled eggs, roasted corn, poblano peppers, and pickled jalapeno crema. Make sure you grab some of the sea salt chocolate chip cookies to go before heading home to fire up the Crockpot." - Jenny Willden

"In a world where coffee is ubiquitous, it’s refreshing to find an establishment that cares equally about tea. Behind the bar at the RoseEstb is a shelf of jars hosting three varieties of each kind of tea:black, green, white, herbal, rooibos, oolong, and a category for an assortment of others, maté among them. This does not, however, compromise anattention to good coffee (the Rosesources it from San Francisco’s Four Barrel Coffee), which is still what most people come for. Open for brunch and lunch, thesimple café menu includesfrittatas, soups, salads, and sandwiches. The Rose islocated on the southwest edge of downtown in a brick building that was remodeled by the owner, Erica O’Brien, and her father, and isdeliberately Wi-Fi free."

I fell in love with this place. It's a shame I was in a hurry today because the warm welcoming atmosphere made me want to kick back and spend the rest of my afternoon here. The food was delicious and actually gluten free! The matcha and strawberry ice latte? Refreshing and well balanced. I can't wait to bring my favorite people here for some great food, drinks, and conversation.

This place is a gem. The space is beautifully restored, an old brick building with modern touches, skylights, and natural greenery throughout. Vines climb the walls inside and out, and the patio is especially charming with grapevines overhead and a calm, tucked away feel. The staff here is top tier. You can tell the kitchen and barista teams really know what they are doing. The food is consistently excellent, and the coffee is dialed in perfectly. It is not overly sweet, the balance is just right, and the milk is always foamed to that smooth, creamy texture you want but rarely get. Service has been attentive and thoughtful every time I have visited. It also stands out as an inclusive, welcoming environment. It feels safe and comfortable for everyone, with a relaxed energy that is hard to fake. The location is great too, just steps from Gateway, and an easy stroll to Liberty Park’s Saturday farmers market. This place hits all the marks, well executed, stylish, and genuinely well run.

This has to be the saddest brunch hamburger I’ve ever ordered, paper thin beef, overcooked, with a slice of tomato, a very lonely stale bun whispering tales of happier, fresher times and what looked like a very soggy overaged salad slumped in defeat. My wife ordered the breakfast sandwich, she liked it but same story with the salad. Coffee came after we were done eating, server explained they were extremely busy, understandable but, it seems that they get busy often so it shouldn’t be too much of a problem to adjust processes accordingly.

My wife and I came here for breakfast one time. I got the deluxe breakfast sandwich with meat. My wife got the Turkish eggs. We both really liked our meals. They were light but tasty. The biscuit for my breakfast sandwich was a little toasted more than what I would prefer. Overall, the nice place to have breakfast if you’re staying nearby.

If you have not been to the Rose Establishment, please make time to become acquainted, with this iconic small business in the heart of Downtown SLC. The food, the coffees, teas and amazing staff will all harmoniously make your day. This is not a "coffee shop" but truly a magical establishment, they take great pride in all that they do and it shows consistently every time. If you have been in Salt Lake City, for the last 20+ years, then you know how truly magical this space is. Thank you The Rose Establishment! FYI: Lavender Blueberry Scones, they sell OUT fast go early! The BLT and Farm Foraged Mushrooms on Toast and the BLT ... OK everything is FARM to Table and absolutely DELISH!

Google
12/10 stars for this place!! I was SOOOO surprised by everything here. We went for weekend brunch and I was shocked to hear there was a short 20 min wait when we arrived around 10:45 AM. So if you want to come here, make reservations if you can, the day before at the latest. Around 11:30, I heard the wait was 45 minutes. Prices here were fantastic and the flavour profiles for the dishes were top notch. Great coffee options, tea options, and plenty to choose from! They have a cafe on the left where you order at the counter, with pastries, coffee/tea, and food options. To the right, they have weekend brunch. The menus are different, but similar. Best of all- So many gluten free options! And vegan options! We ordered their breakfast bowl, the regular breakfast (forget the name, eggs, bacon/sausage, sweet potato smash, toast), and the parfait. I also got the gluten free cinnamon sandwich cookies and the chocolate chip cookies. Oh my gawd. Both of these! The cinnamon cookie was delicious, even for anyone who is not gluten free. The choc chip cookie was huge and DIVINE. I wish I lived closer so I could come here DAILY. It's that good. Do your mouth a favour and come here. And, you're welcome. 🫰

stopped in for breakfast before heading to the children’s museum with the little ones. nice vibe, main room was full with lineup to order but service was extremely friendly and helpful and they opened up more seating in the back room so there was no need to wait for a table. bring a number to your table and they’ll find you with your food. only need to go and pick up coffee order at the bar. there is a sign at the register that they include 18% gratuity in the bill (and their service level deserves it imo) so just make sure you don’t add another tip. kids chose and loved their yogurt parfait and 9-5 breakfast sandwich + fresh squeezed OJ. my deluxe breakfast sandwich was probably the best breakfast sandwich i’ve ever eaten - ingredients were fresh, flavorful and nice contrast of textures between fillings and the biscuit. will be back to try other offerings on the menu next time we’re in SLC!

Google
Food was fantastic, very impressed with the Turkish Eggs and 9 to 5 Breakfast Sandwich. The drip coffee wasn't ideal and had a herbal maybe rose flavor but the Americano and french press were average. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming. Highly recommend

Yelp
The food in the restaurant is consistently delicious and wait staff are calm and diverse. Love this place!

Yelp
Food - 4 stars My most favorite part of this experience was the "waiting pastries", I had the most incredible cardamom orange croissant while waiting to be seated for brunch. It was fresh and flakey, beautifully spiced, and had just enough crunchy sugar on top. I haven't had anything like it, I think about that croissant a lot. The tea cake slice was good, very strong tea flavor, but it was really overshadowed by its counterpart. The hot drinks were good, very filling. Breakfast was lovely, I really appreciate the portion sizes and the greens available in place of what are usually some version of the poor, overplayed breakfast potato. The cocktails were tasty, and even a bit rustic with some whole spices at the bottom of my seasonal mimosa. This place knows good bread, it's the sort of restaurant that serves high caliber super hard and crusty seeded sourdoughs with big holey crumb structures. 10/10 on food! Service - The service here was good, this place was very busy when we went for the weekend brunch rush and our waiter handled it very well. She was quick and on top of it, the service wasn't overly coddling. The café was hopping, everyone behind the counter was busy and it took our drinks a while to come out, but not because anyone was leaning on the counter. Ambiance - Very cool, very fresh, this is a large space that was something else back in the day and in this day it's a very trendy café and brunch spot for people who love rose flavored drinks and arugula.(Me!) Hardwood floors, high ceilings, ancient windows, cool old antiquey stuff like that. Logistics - This is a very popular place, and rightfully so. So popular it might be worth making reservations for sit-down dining (I don't know if they take them), but if you're just there for the café you don't really have to plan ahead or wait too long. The first time I went I made the (fortunate) mistake of walking in, waiting a long time, and filling up on a latte and pastry, and then picking through a delicious breakfast I didn't have much of an appetite for anymore. SO, be warned of the folly of great/popular eateries, this is one of them. And good for them :) Definitely worth a 2nd, 3rd, and 10th try

Yelp
Just tried The Rose Establishment on my recent trip to SLC. The ambience is everything a brunch place should offer, deep wood, steel beams, trendy coffee glasses, and plants interspersed throughout the resto. I got a standard breakfast of two eggs, sourdough, avocado, and bacon. Finished it off with a cortado coffee with a little bit of rosemary syrup. The food was really tasty and the service was fast. I would recommend The Rose Establishment to anyone traveling to Salt Lake City!

Yelp
Seems like they try to be fancier than they actually are, which didn't help make them any more impressive. Their hot chocolate is literally just milk and chocolate syrup. It's a joke. For breakfast, my guy got the Turkish Eggs, which were not good. The eggs were not poached correctly and one was already broken by the time it made it to our table. They covered the eggs with greens probably hoping we wouldn't notice. I got their Mushroom Avocado Toast, which was much better. I was a bit nervous at first about the cashew mushroom "cream cheese," but the cashier assured me there was no actual cream cheese in it and it didn't actually taste like it. Thankfully, he was right! It added a very pleasant flavor to the overall dish. They also didn't skimp out on the avocado, which is very much appreciated. I would get this again for sure. I don't think I would try anything else from their breakfast menu as the other stuff doesn't sound very appealing.

Yelp
I came here for a seasonal drink special with a friend so we could exchange Christmas gifts. My drink did not disappoint; it wasn't as sweet as I had anticipated, but that's not a complaint! We sat on the right side for table service. I got a biscuit with jelly since I had already eaten beforehand. The biscuit was pretty unconventional--really savory and a little bit on the overdone/crunchy side. But it tasted good, and was really different with the sweet jelly it came with. My favorite thing about this spot is the building itself. You can see old exposed brick, and the old doors and knobs are awesome. I loved looking up and around while we ate. So many things on the menu looked awesome, so I am excited to come back and try something else.

Yelp
We loved this cafe! Such a sweet and cute cafe! They also played the Smiths, the Cure, and well music we love. The Turkish eggs, Breakfast Sandwich, Tea Cake, Campfire Latte, and Pumpkin Latte were all great! We also found street parking. Lovely staff too.

Yelp
It's always a treat to stop by the Rose Establishment and I knew I wanted to bring my cousin and her husband here during their visit to SLC. The food was beautifully plated, and my parfait had fun/unique ingredients like sesame puffed rice, apple butter, and mint in it. My cousin remarked that her Turkish eggs were perfectly poached. We ordered the spiced Noel and mocha de menthe off the seasonal drink menu - the spiced Noel was indulgent without being overly sweet and I thoroughly enjoyed the hints of rum and spiced cream and toasted coconut. The mocha was a hit as well. Everything was lovely and we enjoyed both the food and the space.

Suzette M.

Yelp
The food was really good and it looked like it was brown rice (white is healthy rice, unlike white rice). The atmosphere is just so so, and it was quite cold in there. All seven of us in our party kept our coats on. I did fill out a survey stating the food was good, but they need to do better with public relations. An employee handed everyone in the long line a small seaweed, spam, rice cake. When I got to the cashier, he said I'd have to pay for it. Huh? Anyway, I put it on the counter and said I didn't want it then. A few others in my group had theirs and weren't asked to pay. Weird procedure or just a weird cashier.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this local coffee shop. It mixed good coffee with good food. We had their iced tea and hot coffee, both were good. And then got a few treats and breads. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a nice coffee shop or place to work!

Yelp
This coffee and breakfast spot really hits all the marks. We ordered the Turkish eggs and 9 to 5 breakfast sandwich, both of which were delicious. We feel that the Rose Establishment balances their flavors well, so nothing is overly fatty, overly salty, or anything of the sort. Balanced flavors for a balanced meal. The coffee was also really quite good - single origin espresso and drip coffee both hit the spot. We appreciated the interior and the vibe of the place. It's quite spacious and cozy. A perfect place for a morning bite.

Yelp
There is a service charge of 18%. Didn't realize this until after I got home and looked at my receipt. I also tipped at the POS system and asked the cashier if they really get the tips when added and she said yes, but didn't bother to mention the service charge is automatically added? ‍ I ordered 3 items: Golden Milk - Quite delicious. Nice comforting drink. Bloody Mary - A little spicy kick to it. They were out of Vodka. (How do you run out of Vodka? lol! ) I opted for gin and it was actually pretty tasty. Turkish Eggs - Flavors were delicious. We stood at the front behind a large party unsure if we would be seated or not. I decided to go up to the barista and ask how it works. There are 2 sides. The side we entered was the main entrance. You order at the barista station. You're given a number and you seat your self. The menus are in a small box near the entrance on one of the posts. The other dining area, it is suggested you make a reservation and is a brunch type menu if I understood her correctly. The food portions were small for the price point in my opinion. Quite pricey for 2 drinks and technically 2 eggs and toast. No matter how flavorful. ($39.23 total) The service charge is in bad taste to me because you're ordering yourself at the Barista station. You're seating yourself and then they just deliver the food to your table when it's ready. I enjoy trying local spots. Although, this will be my one & only visit here.

Yelp
Order the portobello tacos! They're absolutely amazing - delicious - on point! The waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive. Smiles and pleasant responses from everyone we came in contact with. The music was audible without bring overbearing and not at all too loud. We were able to maintain our conversation without any trouble at all. We *will* be back!

Yelp
Very clean and spacious place. Lots of tables indoor and also outdoors. The staff are friendly and nice. Food was excellent. I had the brunch bowl and it was so good I ordered a second one but the second time I asked for more potatoes instead of the bacons. The cappuccino was really good, highly recommend. The dirty chai was not good (would not recommend), tastes nothing like a dirty chai, had too much cocoa powder. Overall a great place for coffee and breakfast.
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
This spot is EVERYTHING to me! Healthy food that tastes amazing. Fun coffee drinks that never fail. When I'm here, I order everything! Turkish eggs are an always. Salty coffee drinks, yes! And then a treat of course. Little busy but what else would you expect?

Yelp
The Rose is one of those places you visit when showing an out-of-town friend around. It's conveniently located in the heart of downtown SLC with surrounding hotspots and neighborhoods, so you can easily walk there on a sunny morning. They have everything you're looking for in a brunch spot: breakfast, pastries, several coffee options and alcohol! Their coffee offerings are one-of-a-kind and service is always great. You can also hit the Saturday farmer's market right after brunch across the street at Pioneer Park! I always have great things to say about Rose.
google avatar

Cole D.

Yelp
Very fresh brunch bowl. I had one particular bite that elevated the dish to a 5. the feta cheese really makes this hit. Loves the avocado and pickled red onions. Delicious. Price of $18 seems steep, but I guess that's Utah prices now. Friendly staff. Ate at a bar with plenty of seating. Really open area and lots of natural and artificial gold light. Bathroom is nice. I liked the self-help water station at the counter.
google avatar

Lolo M.

Yelp
Treat yourself to some poached eggs and a latte. The ambiance, vibe, and quality of food is top notch!

Yelp
Honestly, I didn't really like the food. I ordered The Classic breakfast. My has browns were burnt, my sunny side up eggs were overcooked, my toast was burnt, and so was my bacon that ended up tasting like chicharrón. The orange juice I got with my food was spectacular, it was freshly squeezed. But the lady serving me sounded like she hated her job and didn't want to talk to me. Her voice sounded forced. I wouldn't go again. Too many white people and not enough people with darker skin tones such as my brother.
google avatar

Katie P.

Yelp
Really good. Order at counter then food is brought to you. Hipster area. The food was great. I had the pear tartine which was different and delicious and in such good bread. Mediterranean eggs were poached well and had a whipped feta that was the star of the show. Biscuit was cheese crusted and so salty and delicious. Coffee was strong.
google avatar

Caroline L.

Yelp
Such a cute cozy neighborly breakfast joint with great coffee and pastries. I love how it's decorated beautifully, and there's a patio to sit at with your fur babies. Minor complication here though, since they give you a number which we took to the patio, but then you have to walk back in to get your lattes at the coffee bar. Food: - Brunch Bowl: super healthy and filling - Cafe Breakfast Sandwich: biscuit breading with all the goods inside, nice and hearty - Yogurt and Granola: grab and go from the cold case Drink: - Rose Fog: oat milk substitute which gave it a nice flavor and the rose petals add that pretty touch
google avatar

Caroline K.

Yelp
Stopped here while waiting to go to the airport. It's about 15 mins away. Really chill vibes- great coffee shop, great ambiance. The table behind me was drawing and painting, the table to my left was playing chess, others were deep in conversation. The food is DELISH. The brunch bowl is a must, as is the biscuits and jam. FYI the jam is an apple/cinnamon jam- it's really good but it caught me by surprise when i first saw it.
google avatar

Isabelle H.

Yelp
Top 3 iced Oatmilk latte I've ever had. Dependably great coffee and other drinks but don't come here in a rush or on a budget. The line can be long and a little slow, and the prices are pretty expensive (+ an unmarked added 18% service fee on everything). Great spot to hang out and chat over a coffee but not the best on-the-go option. Half is an order at the counter coffee shop and half is a sit down cafe.
google avatar

Rachel K.

Yelp
The Rose is my favorite coffee shop in Utah. It's changed a lot over the years but has consistently served my favorite lattes. They have fun new flavors that rotate seasonally - the Gaia Matcha is super interesting, in a good way! The diner plate is a great staple as well. My one hope is that they serve ketchup with it in the future. The pricing is a bit steep but for the quality and freshness of the food, I think it's worth paying.
google avatar

Craig R.

Yelp
Very pleased with my choice this morning. I was looking for a place to eat, perhaps some coffee and a nice environment to hang for a few hours. I was not disappointed. Food was excellent. I ordered the brunch bowel. I like healthy food and I appreciated the fresh greens. Also came with avocado, nicely cooked breakfast potatoes and a salsa that had wonderful flavors. Ambiance is perfect. Feels nice. Service is poor. They serve you, but they tend to be running to the next person instead of connecting and making good eye contact. Be aware there is no need to tip as the gratuity is added to your bill as a service charge. Not an issue for me as I would have done that anyway I would come back.... I may order a muffin and Corado. If I do, I will let you know how they are
google avatar

Amy K.

Yelp
What a gem! Service with a smile and attention to detail. Outside patio adorable and relaxing. The mushroom avocado toast absolutely amazing - so fresh and full of yummy surprises (chickpeas, almonds). Highly recommend
google avatar

Kyle R.

Yelp
Industrial ambiance with walk up ordering. You can eat inside or out. (Though there is limited outdoor seating available.) The lattes hot or cold are well done. The 9-5 sandwich and the Deluxe breakfast sandwich were both tasty. The deluxe has a choice of avocado or bacon, and has a medium egg with an aïoli. The cheddar biscuit that is come on is superb! All members of the staff from ordering to bussing were very friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
I'd heard amazing things about The Rose Establishment for years now, so my sister, mother, and I were very excited to give it a try. My sister and I both ordered the Turkish eggs with a side of avocado--the portion sizes were significantly different and the avocado we were given was stringy, impossible to cut, and brown. The dish itself was yummy, lending itself to the fresh herbs. The autumn cap (not a cappuccino btw) was a very creative and delicious drink, but the matcha latte tasted a lot more like milk than matcha. On top of all of this, the non-optional 18% gratuity charge for a restaurant that is NOT full service was a big, unpleasant surprise. The environment is warm, clean, and inviting, but when we ordered, it seemed like the employees were eager to get us out so that they could close an hour and a half prior to closing time. I want to like this place, with its pleasant atmosphere and creative menu, but it won't be a repeat. I wasn't originally planning on writing a review so we didn't take other pictures, but I will include the picture of my autumn cap.

Yelp
Flavors - 3./5 Textures - 4.5/5 Presentation - 4/5 Value for Money - 2.5/5 Would return? No The menu selection, unfortunately, fell short in terms of protein, leaning heavily on carbs and fats. Opting for the brunch bowl, which included eggs, bacon, potatoes, and a salad, the freshness and flavors were commendable, but the portion size left me wanting more. Even after requesting an extra egg, it seemed like the petite variety. However, the chocolate chip cookie was a revelation--a contender for the best I've ever had. With a perfect balance of crispy texture throughout and a delightful interplay of chocolate and dough, it nearly earned a flawless 5/5 rating. On the savory side, the bacon cheese biscuit was flaky and tasty, though it didn't quite reach the heights of the exceptional cookie. While enjoyable, it didn't leave a lasting impression worth raving about. The real stumbling point for me was the prices, which felt exorbitant, especially for Salt Lake City.
google avatar

Velnette J.

Yelp
This place is beautiful! I needed a good amount of caffeine to get me through a long road trip! It was the perfect stop. The coffee was amazing and the breakfast hit the spot. I also made sure to grab a bunch of gf treats for the road!

Taylor K.

Yelp
Not a kid friendly establishment. We came to have brunch with some friends, and we have several children between us, including one infant. While we were finishing up our meal, my infant accidentally hit her head on the table and started crying loudly. My husband and friends were gathering up our belongings and getting jackets on the kids (it was cold and rainy outside) so that we could leave, while I stood to bounce my baby to try to calm her. She was crying for probably 2 minutes, if that, and the owner of the restaurant approached my husband and asked us to take our kids outside so the other patrons wouldn't be disturbed. I find it inappropriate and lacking compassion to ask a paying customer to take their hurt, crying infant outside in the rain. Our other children were well behaved. It seems there have been other reviews of this restaurant not being kid friendly, so parents beware.
google avatar

Quinn N.

Yelp
The new avocado toast with mushrooms is just so freaking delicious, I can eat this every day. I like the idea of ordering at the counter and people will bring food to your table. The minor thing is, service fee is auto-charged even though you get your own water and stand in line to order, which I honestly don't vouch for this practice.
google avatar

Ines B.

Yelp
Be warned that hot food is not served until 8 AM, although they open at 7. I didn't realize this and was planning to eat breakfast here but couldn't. I came on a hot day and I'm not sure if they have AC because it was really hot inside. However, I still give 5 stars because the service was good, the iced latte I had was incredible, and the strawberry scone was delicious!
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
The staff was friendly and helpful. The frittata and greens were fresh and tasty. I also had some of the best matcha I've ever had in my life. I will try to make it back again before we leave town! Lots of allergy friendly options and everything looked delicious.
google avatar

Isaac R.

Yelp
This place keeps having really good coffee, pastries and breakfast. Is still tough to find parking.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
I visited twice during a recent trip to SLC and would highly recommend. The coffee was very good, the scone was delicious, and the service was great. The space is very beautiful and there's plenty of space both inside and out.

Yelp
Came here for brunch on a beautiful Sunday morning. This establishment is divided into two parts: one side is a cute coffee shop and the other side is the restaurant. Upon sitting, I was promptly greeted by my server who took my drink order (hot green tea). Shortly after, she returned to take my food order and I got the Winter Waffle and Buttermilk Biscuits. It felt like only a few short minutes before my food arrived! The Winter Waffle was so flavorful! I really enjoyed the pear and cranberry compote. It added a nice touch to balance out the spices in the waffle. The buttermilk biscuits were also very delicious. The seasonal jam was spectacular! I couldn't get enough of it! The decor was very modern and I enjoyed the music playing (some 80's classics, along with a little bit of grunge). I would definitely return and try the coffee shop the next time I'm in Salt Lake City!
google avatar

Jason K.

Yelp
Great counter service. Very pleasant. Great amount of seating and nice music as an added ambiance. 9-5 breakfast sandwich is great! Try the rose fog!
google avatar

Amanda D.

Yelp
Food and service were excellent. Got the chia pudding and the Turkish eggs. Yum. I got a summer sage latte and the sea salt crystals on top were a delightful surprise. Not something I would have thought I would have liked, but it was delicious. Sitting on the small patio in the morning was the perfect atmosphere as well!

Yelp
A lot has gone well in the last few visits. A few years ago, I had visited this small restaurant and coffee shop and had a super bad experience. I simply walked in to order a coffee and then asked about the Wi-Fi and all hell broke loose. The staff absolutely shamed me for even asking about it, and then informed me very proudly that they don't offer Wi-Fi. All that's fine, but it was the mean spirit in which they made their point. Now, several years later, I have moved right around the corner and I needed a coffee. I stopped in and was waited upon by some of the kindest interested and engaged staff members that I've experienced in quite some time. I don't know what's happened here but in the last month, it's kind of become my go to. I do think it's weird that a coffee shop so proudly insists upon NO Wi-Fi, still. People go to drink coffee and digest information and talk about the things that they learn about the world while doing so. The Internet is a direct link to those information sources and yes, along with a lot of bad, dangerous shit also. There's a lot of important and valuable and empowering information. So, go ahead and not offer Wi-Fi, I can use my own connectivity, but maybe take it a little bit easier on the whole iPhone Internet thing?? Yes many of these tools and information are abused, while at the same time miracles occur because of the speed at which we can access information. Like almost all things inventions and tools. They are very often widely abused, and both horror shows and miracles are realized by the manner in which they are implemented. On that note, I'm going to finish my tea cake which by the way is abnormally delicious along with my autumn cappuccino, which is equally enjoyable. Keep up the good work. I'm glad to know you guys.

To all my aesthetic coffee shop girls, this place is AMAZING. Not only is the place itself have the cutest vibes, but the food and coffee were also great! The only down side was that they don't offer Wi-fi here, which is a bit of the let down cause this would be the perfect place to study :) For coffee I tried the Iced Harvest Spice Latte with oat milk. I honestly loved this latte! A lot of other fall drinks I try tend to be overly sweet and have an artificial taste, but this coffee tasted like fall in a cup without being sweet or artificial tasting. I also tried the Eggs Benedict which I believe are limited, or not always on the menu. Honestly, i thought this was a well done eggs benedict, but what rly was the star of this was the buttery biscuit on the bottom! The hollandaise sauce was way more tangy than I've had at other places but honestly I didn't mind it, but if you aren't a fan of a more taste hollandaise then I would probably order something else. The potato's that came on the side were also soft and fluffy! I was just visiting SLC, but if I lived here I would definitely frequent this place :)

Yelp
Great spot to work but a bit popular for that so I'd say arrive early. I love the little shaded patio outside. They have an array of unique drinks but not sure it's worth the high price...and a mandatory service charge on top of that. I think I paid $8 for a small mocha, the menu I believe said $4 if I'm not mistaken. Service was great!

Yelp
Not impressed :/ We went on a Saturday morning for brunch and were able to get seated immediately which was nice. The restaurant has a very nice ambiance with very high ceilings in the main dining area, making it nice and open / airy. While the food all LOOKED beautiful and had nice plating, the actual taste and quality was a bit disappointing. My matcha latte was pretty but horrible. Avocado toast was unique but I wouldn't go for it again. Customer service was alright, and one thing to note is that this place does have an automatic 18% gratuity added to all tables.

Yelp
Ambiance: beautiful. So cozy and warm inside, beautiful lighting, lots of places to sit. We were able to make a reservation for a larger group as well which was great. Beautiful tableware and plants. Just makes you feel good. Service: very quick and the servers told us all of their favorites before we even asked for recommendations which was super helpful because we'd never been here before! Never went without water which is a huge plus. Food: amazing. The potato breakfast bowl was DIVINE. The bacon was so so good and whatever sauce they serve with it was delicious. My husband got the diner plate and upgraded the toast to the avocado tartine (extra $1.50 or something like that). He ate it so fast so he must have enjoyed it! Now for the PASTRIES! The salted chocolate chip cookie is a MUST. Never had a cookie like that in my life. And the scone?? Such a creative flavor. It comes with this beautiful glaze on the top and it was absolutely perfect. Not too sweet, so soft, nice crunch from the glaze. Love it.

Yelp
It was good but not great. The food portions were kind of small, and very expensive. For a latte and an entree I paid $30. (Food pictured.) I understand they're a coffee shop for the main part though - so I will give them that. However, if you are ordering food, also keep in mind that it takes quite a while before it gets to you. My friend ordered a breakfast bowl and it took 30 minutes to get to us. The coffee came out very quick though! Staff was very friendly, but we tried to order another coffee to-go and they didn't have any because they were closing in the next 45 minutes. Oh! And I don't think they have air conditioning. It was extremely hot.

Yelp
It's a bit confusing with the two spaces both serving brunch, but this review is for the full table service brunch in the cozy brick room where Pallet used to be. I ordered biscuits and gravy which was hearty but not gut busting. I got a cappuccino which came in a glass with two minor issues. The glass makes for scalding hands but then the drink cools off too quickly without a mug's insulating properties. The space is beautiful and I had a comfortable chair mid-room. No purse space though. Purses don't go on the floor and a rounded back doesn't work for a clutch with a wrist strap. Hence my purse lived in the planter!! Ha!! I had a tahini banana muffin (testament to a proper biscuit gravy serving size) which was so my jam. Must go back for at least that muffin. Still worthwhile to be aware of the auto 18% gratuity but I might have tipped more without it. I can't do much math after a mimosa. Just sayin.

Yelp
One of my favorite coffee shops I've been too. The seating is a little hard to find sometimes but I like that it isn't too crammed and there is places where you feel more tucked away unlike most coffee shops. Their food is so so good, I love their Greek yogurt bowl and the tea cake is so yummy. But their coffee is 10/10 as well. Their menu has anything and everything and the service was so great!

Yelp
Great find while visiting SLC! Fun vibe, unique coffee options, delicious pastries. All of the menu items sounded good it was hard to decide. But, I'm very glad I went with the spring waffle. A black pepper waffle with almond butter and cherry compote. Interesting combination and it was so good!! I need to find a way to recreate it at home. I also enjoyed the espresso grapefruit tonic drink, but it's definitely not for everyone. Make a reservation if it's the weekend.

Yelp
I also got fooled by the 18% service charge they added for ordering at the counter. It was interesting to see a thread about this in today's Salt Lake City subreddit. Highly unethical and will not be back obviously

Yelp
Server: Makana 5/5 - Friendly, attentive, and knowledgable. Service: 5/5 - Quickly seated, prompt service, and drinks & food came out decently fast. Atmosphere: 5/5 - Great brunch vibes. Chill 80s music for the downtown lounging hipster vibes. Drinks: Rosemary Peach Bellini 4/5 - Good but couldn't really taste the rosemary. Seasonal Harvest Spice Latte 5/5 - Stayed warm in mug for a long time and tasty yummy and toasty as hoped. Food: Brunch Bowl (add avocado & eggs) 5/5 - Lots of different and adventurous flavors/ingredients on the plate. Everything was cooked well, and the server recommended some local jot sauces that paired well with the dish.
