The Best MICHELIN Guide Hotels in Tokyo

"Like many Tokyo hotels, the Park Hotel occupies part of a mixed-use skyscraper; in this case, ten uppermost floors of the Shiodome Media Tower, right in the heart of downtown. Architecturally, the Park Hotel is rather unique — the core of the building has been hollowed out, so that its 273 rooms all face outward. The result is a sun-drenched ten-story atrium, extending 120 feet straight up to the skyscraper’s glass ceiling — far more refreshing than the enclosed lobby floor of some Tokyo tower hotels." - The MICHELIN Guide

Google
Excellent hotel and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of my stay! The only downside to this hotel is the awkward navigation to the hotel itself. You need to go to the 24th floor before taking another elevator up to your room. Other than that, my stay was wonderful. Comfy cozy rooms, nice spacious bathroom with a great shower. Amazing views of Tokyo Tower and the train tracks as well as all the city. Staff is wonderful on all accounts. I would love to stay here again

The room was clean and the bed was a good size. The bathroom had everything we needed including hairdryer, comb, toothbrush, bath and shower products etc. The hotel even provided pyjamas and slippers. The room was compact but the design worked very well. The breakfast was very nice and the view every morning from our breakfast table was such an amazing start to the day! The food was delicious and there was a lot of choice. The staff were incredible! I must say that the kindness of the staff is what will stay with me for the rest of my life; they made us feel happy and welcome; We were always greeted with a warm and genuine smile. I am so thankful to have chosen this hotel; the area was very nice and was not far from great restaurants, cafes, Shimbashi Station was a short stroll away, Ginza also not far. Hamarikyu Gardens were next door and it was such a nice morning stroll, one can also have traditional macha tea in a tea-house overlooking the lake! I will definitely stay here again!

The Royal Park Hotel Tokyo offers an exceptional stay, combining convenience, cleanliness, and outstanding service. Located directly above or next to major train stations depending on the branch (such as Tokyo Station or Haneda Airport), it makes navigating the city incredibly easy—perfect for both business travelers and tourists. The seamless connection to public transport is a major plus, especially after long days exploring Tokyo. The rooms are spotless, modern, and thoughtfully designed with everything you might need, including comfortable beds, efficient use of space, and quality amenities. Despite being compact, the rooms never feel cramped thanks to clever layout and lighting. What truly sets the Royal Park Hotel apart is the professionalism and kindness of the staff. Whether it’s early check-in requests, directions, or luggage storage, the team is always ready to assist with a smile. Their English proficiency is also a big help for international visitors. There are also plenty of dining options and convenience stores nearby, making it easy to grab a meal or snack at any time. Overall, the Royal Park Hotel Tokyo is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking comfort, cleanliness, and ease of access around the city. It’s reliable, well-run, and takes a lot of stress out of your travel experience. Highly recommended.

I've had the pleasure of staying at this property twice now. It is a good higher end business hotel in the Shiodome district, definately not luxury but that can't be expected given the room rate. It's connected to Shimbashi station via an underground walkway which was convenient after arriving off the Shinkansen with luggage on a rainy day. Staff were attentive and polite during check in and throughout my stay, promptly responding to my request for fresh towels outside of regular cleaning hours. The room was kept clean but was starting to show it's age, especially in the configuration of the wet area, but was well maintained. Daily housekeeping including 2 bottles of water were provided. The mattress was one of the more comfortable mattresses out of the hotels I've stayed at in Japan. There were a large amount of leisure tourists staying during late March so the elevators from the JR entrance to the lobby were frequently busy with patrons hauling large amounts of luggage who were often less than considerate of other guests also using the facility. Overall this is a good value hotel to stay at for the convenience and amenities, generally more fairly priced than comparable western branded options in less convenient locations .

This Hotel was absolutely great. The staff was extremely polite and helpfull.|The room is quite big and clean with an incredible view and the location couldn’t be better. You can go straight into shimbashi station and onto the Yamanote or Asakusa Line in no time and you can access the station underneath a roof so you don’t even get wet if it rains. Honestly this hotel is the perfect home base for exploring Tokyo. I am already planning my next trip there.

I booked last minute at this hotel so I got a good discount in order to afford staying here. The room was large and the bathroom was beautiful and large. The beds were slightly hard and the air conditioning needed a while to kick in. The hotel breakfast was not worth the price in my opinion. The location was great—next to multiple lines of transportation.

Google
We had 2 nights here. The location is good, the staff are very friendly and the hotel is quite modern.|On the Executive floor the breakfast operation is very good, evening cocktails could do with a few more variations on the canopes, but the drink selection is superb.|The rooms are small, so small we had to upgrade at the hotel to the next room category for around Y6000 / night. Maybe this room selection / category would be better if you booked direct, on this occasion we booked through an agency.|Good for Metro access and local shops.|This is a very international hotel, so you lose the Japanese touch.||We have stayed many times at the Royal Park in Nihonbashi which for us has the edge for many good reasons.

If you're looking for a centralized and luxurious hotel experience, look no further – this establishment is truly first-class. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of refined elegance. Every aspect of the hotel, from the stunning decor to the impeccable cleanliness, speaks to its commitment to excellence. We were extremely satisfied with both the service and the atmosphere throughout our stay. What truly set this hotel apart, however, was the exceptional care and attention from the management. They went above and beyond to take care of our concerns, ensuring our comfort and peace of mind. A very special thank you to Yurika Tsuge for the outstanding assistance and dedication –the professionalism and kindness made a significant difference to our visit. You will be thoroughly impressed and incredibly satisfied with your choice to stay here.

Yelp
I highly recommend the Royal Park Hotel iconic Tokyo Shiodome! So many pros: easily accessible by train, Lawson's right downstairs, walking distance to many local restaurants (ramen, sushi, etc), Ginza, Donki, Tsukiji fish market, and the staff is so accommodating. We really felt welcomed! We stayed on the 30th floor and our room with a queen size bed seemed like a fairly large room for Tokyo standards. Our room had a small sofa seat, a table and 2 chairs. The organic coffee was a nice touch. During our stay, we had complimentary breakfast everyday (I can't remember if we opted to pay for breakfast when we booked the hotel through hotels.com). We also received a voucher for 20% off food/drinks from any of the restaurants located inside the hotel. We used it for cocktails on our last night. Truth be told, drinks were good but would have been less expensive at a local bar or restaurant. We did enjoy sitting in the bar area with Tokyo glittering in front of us in the evening. One of the highlights was the traditional Japanese breakfast that is available only on the weekends. Probably one of the best meals I've had in Tokyo! See photo. I also included photos of all breakfasts we had. On one of the mornings, we had to leave the hotel by 7:15am and breakfast starts at 7am. The manager was so thoughtful that he prepared to-go boxes, napkins, utensils and a sturdy bag for our group of 6, so that we could take our breakfast with us. How thoughtful! The hotel provides a nice amount of toiletries too: toothbrush/toothpaste, comb/hair brush, cloth head band, shower cap, bath salts, vanity kit. My fave item was the 'body towel'. I wasn't sure what it was at first but realized it was a 'loofah cloth' to use with the bath gel for showering. It worked really well and you can hang it on the clothesline to dry (in the shower area). One item that was not included was body lotion. No biggie - just mentioning. One con is that the staff are not fluent in English but we had no issues communicating. So this is a small con if anything. We had plenty of plugs for our 2 phones, portable charger and 1 Apple watch. I also saw that there was a set of pj's in the drawer that we didn't use. The house slippers came in handy. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash were great, too. I would definitely stay here again

Yelp
Overall I really liked this hotel. It was probably my favorite hotel on this trip out of four and I'd stay here again. The location is great. The local metro stops (Shimbashi and Shiodome) have great connections to the rest of Tokyo. You only need 1 train to Haneda airport. There's a lot to eat nearby. We walked to Tsukiji market everyday for breakfast. A cab to Toyosu market for early morning sushi was only $12. And there's always a cab waiting out front. Ginza is easily walkable. FamilyMart is just an elevator ride away. Super convenient location. The hotel itself is very nice. It's in a very tall building and all hotel floors are at the top of the building so you get great views. It also means you don't get any noise pollution from the streets. The rooms are nice and modern, and not as small as I imagined. I didn't try breakfast here because well...with two world class fish markets nearby that open early (Tsukiji and Toyosu) there's no reason to eat at the hotel. One small annoyance: Because of staffing issues (supposedly) their concierge service is limited. They wouldn't make any reservations for me before I arrived at the hotel, so I had to use third party services for my restaurant reservations (JpnEazy, TableCheck, etc.)

Yelp
I love that this hotel is very close the the Shiodome train station (5 minute walk) and still not too far away from the major shopping/touristy hubs that get you to Shinjuku and Shibuya. Discount shopping store Don Quixote (Donki) is within walking distance as well. There is an elevator behind the eacalator that takes you to the 24th floor where the main lobby/resto is. Then tou have to board another elevator to take to the rooms. You're also able to leave your luggage if you go to another place in Japan and come back to stay at their hotel prior to departing back home. Concierge was helpful in booking restaurant reservations for us. The rooms are average size (we had two fullsize beds put together). Their bathrooms equipped with toiletries you may need (vanity set, toothbrush, hairbrush, and shampoo/conditioner/body wash). The washer/dryer is located ok the 27th floor. There's a soap dispenser and the washer/dryer is a combo machine that takes coins. If you don't have one the front desk can make change for you. There are multiple food options and can also opt for their breakfast option. We had breakfast one day at the vegan spot Chaya. Overall a solid hotel.

Yelp
I stayed here twice. December 2018 and November 2019. Both stays were awesome! Great staff, great breakfast buffet. Several restaurants available, a great bar, and great access to taxis, subway system and shopping (a mall is within walking distance). Close to entertainment centers, fish market, shopping centers ( Ginza is awesome)!! So much to do and see! Back to the hotel. Rooms are awesome! Clean, great views, great service staff, a laundry room, conference rooms, computer access, currency exchange machine, GYM and massage therapy located downstairs. If you just want to relax in your room instead of the hotel bar, vending machines on each floor have great beer selections. A great hotel that will meet all your needs!!! Free airport transportation! You will enjoy your stay!!

Yelp
Great hotel near Haneda airport and the railway is 5 minutes walk. A great room good view and not too expensive.

Yelp
3.5 stars. I would give this hotel property a 4 if some things work. Located in the Shiodome area which I really like and highly preferred for a place to stay in Tokyo. Covered underpass from the hotel to Tokyo Metro and JR line. Came here direct from Haneda on Keikyu line and the train became a local train straight to Shimbashi station. Pros: 1) Location, location, location. Short walk to Tokyo Metro and Ginza just a station away. Walking distance to Ginza, but I rather not. 2) beautiful room with nice sitting area. Believe the check-in staff said my room was upgraded? I don't completely comprehend what she said, but say 98%. Room was larger than I thought, definitely bigger than many hotels in Tokyo. 3) Nice view. Can see part of Hama-rikyu Garden and a tiny part of the bay. 4) Staffs are friendly in general. Cons: (from the most annoying to least) 1) Light switches- absolutely drives me crazy. I don't understand why can't I turn on some lights but not the rest. Lights are turned on from bathroom to the bedroom when keycard was inserted on the wall. There is no way for me to just turn on the bathroom light only. Still could not figure out how to turn on the table lamp next to the bed. I had to use a battery operated candle (found in the room) to make my way in the dark at night. I hope the hotel is not hoping the guests will use candles more and save on electricity. 2) AC/ air conditioning. AC doesn't seem to work when I put the room at 24C or 25C, only appeared running at 20C. In general, I don't feel hot easily but rather scared of cold. Feel too warm in the room, had to put the room at 20C and I ended up freezing. 3) Bed. Way too soft, doesn't offer much support. Woke up in the middle of the night. Not good. Thank goodness this is just a trial stay for me. 4) Not enough electrical outlets. Surprise this is a hotel catered to business travelers. Don't the guests here need to charge their phones and tablets? 5) Room as a whole suffers from identity crisis. Contemporary design but with white desk and cabinets with flowers? 6) Checked in staff did not ask if I needed help with my suitcase. That's a basic question. This is no Conrad Tokyo but the hotel is very good for its price point. However, based on my gripe from 1-3 above, Conrad Tokyo will definitely be my #1 choice.

Yelp
This is truly a great hotel for its location especially if you are visiting Tokyo for your business trip! A number of transportation options are available from Narita International Airport, but there is a bus line which will take you directly from the airport to the hotel so this might be a best option if you are not too familiar with Tokyo area. This hotel is also located near JR, subway, and Yurikamome stations so that you will be able to travel conveniently to any part of Tokyo area once you begin your stay. Many restaurants are near the hotel, and the Family Mart is even connected to the hotel building so you do not need to travel far for any food/drinks. Lastly, many of popular places are within a short distance (Tsukiji Market - within 15 minute walking distance, Ginza - within 5 minute walking distance, Tokyo Tower - within 8 minute by car, and many other tourist destinations are within 20 minutes of either walking/via ground transportation from the hotel.). A check-in reception counter is located on the 24th floor of the hotel and the check-in process is very smooth and convenient. By the way, the guest rooms are located from 27th floor thru 38th floor as floors beneath 27th floors are either hotel service areas, restaurants and stores, or office areas. For my stay, I was lucky enough to receive a room in the 38th floor which is known as the "Premium Floor." An "Economy" room in the Premium Floor is quite small, but it does offer enough space. It consists of desk, table with sofa chair, and refrigerator (All are small size except the desk.). There are some complimentary drinks (beers, vegetable juice, Pokari drink, and etc.) in the fridge. Additionally, two bottles of water, a bar of chocolate, and several K-cups (coffee) with a coffee machine are available as well. The bathroom is very clean with many complementary offerings are offered once again and they are in a push cart which is located under the counter. And the restroom is equipped with a Japanese styled bath tub is so you can either take a shower and/or you can also enjoy the hot bath as well (The bath is very soothing and relaxing especially after a long flight.). Lastly, a view from the room is excellent as you will be able to see the Tokyo Tower, but it may depend on where your room is situated in the building. To my absolute amazement, there is a gym located in the underground floor (B2F) of the hotel. It is free for all guests so you may do some exercises during your stay for those who are doing it regularly. As you may already know, it is rare to find a gym area in the hotel especially in Japan. Overall, I strongly recommend this hotel especially if you are visiting Tokyo for your business trip. A price seems very reasonable comparing to other similar establishments near-by, and with its location coupled with their outstanding service, this hotel certainly will be your favorite place to stay in Tokyo!

Yelp
I have stayed here a couple of times and this hotel is extremely gorgeous. You have great views from pretty much every room and the amenities are top notch. When you think about the Japanese hospitality, this place pretty much personifies that. The lobby is great, the staff is friendly and the restaurant is awesome. This hotel in particular is located right in shiodome and has the shimbashi station located right in front of it. Not to mention you're a quick 5-10 min walk to all the experiences on Ginza. I would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Tokyo. Pros- Location Construction Views Service Amenities Restaurant Accessibility Cons- Rooms are a bit small Immediate area dining options close rather early

Yelp
I think I just found my new place to stay in Tokyo. I normally stay at Hotel Villa Fontaine Shiodome for its price and location (only 15 mints to my company's HQ building), but since I found better rate online, I decided to try here this time. Sorry Villa Fontaine, I am switching my loyalty to Royal Park Hotel. Location is very good. Use any of trains (yurikamome, subway, or JR), only 5 mins away from any of their train station. Don't even have to walk outside to get to this hotel. Check in process is very smooth. I was in my room no time. Room is well designed. I like the shape of the desk, it gives you enough space but doesn't make it too crowded in a tiny hotel room. I like a little push cart they had under the bathroom sink. Counter space in the bathroom is limited but they placed a push cart to put extra bathroom stuff. It was unfortunate that I found a huge stain on the carpet in my room. Carpet was a bit outdated and I think it is about time they re-do the carpet. I don't think that huge stain will come off unless it is replaced. View from my room was good. Always nice to have good view from a room. During my stay, I had an opportunity to try their lobby bar. The wine list is limited but can't expect too much from a business hotel. The wine I had was 2009 Château de la Rivière. I generally like a wine from Bordeaux. The body is on lighter side but I still enjoyed. I think the view from the bar helped. Beautiful night skyline. I didn't like the price. This one is sold at $20-$30 at a store but they are selling here for $120. Mark up was more than I wanted to see. I wanted to drink wine anyway. I also had a chance to try their breakfast buffet one morning. View from this restaurant is very nice. Whenever I see the Tokyo Tower, I know I am in Japan. Food was decent, had a better breakfast buffet for the same price somewhere else. Next time I want to try their Japanese restaurant for breakfast. What makes so different for this hotel is the gym So rare to find a hotel with gym in Tokyo for business hotel. Yes, nicer hotel has gym but not at a typical business hotel for the price I paid for the room. I tend to overeat and drink too much while in Japan, and I end up gaining weight every single time I visit here. I had a nice work out at the hotel gym. Not too big but never that crowded. Free to use for registered guest. This hotel will be my regular place to stay whenever I come to Tokyo for business for its location, well designed room, good service, and the gym.

Yelp
Stayed here for several nights on my epic World Domination Tour with Anthrax, Metallica, and...okay I'm lying, it was the family vacation. On our first trip to Japan, we spent a few nights in Tokyo before heading to Kyoto. The Shiodome area seemed fairly central to the places we were going to head to. The hotel offered us a lovely junior suite with two full beds, a roller bed, and a sofa convertible. Super clean and comfortable. Great sleep. Room comes with numerous toiletries and the mini-bar contains Asahi beer. Had interesting time being introduced to fancy Japanese toilet. Mind what button you press. The hotel begins on the 24th floor and our room was on the 32nd affording a great view of Tokyo. We could see Tokyo Tower close by and even Mt. Fuji off in a distance! Metro station and nearby restaurants. Walking distance to original Tsukiji Fish Market (it moves later this year) and Ginza. Did not try hotel eateries. Staff super friendly and welcoming to us foreigners. Highly recommend.

Yelp
My 200th review goes to this convenient hotel in Tokyo. The lobby has a lovely, addicting smell OMG. Anyway, onto the practical side of things: This hotel is very conveniently located just steps away from a subway station, Shiodome Station. Its a small station that takes you onto the major routes. There is a plaza where you can get like $4 udon. That's so amazing. The plaza is also beautiful during the holidays. I blogged about this, so check my profile for my website. The one bedroom was pretty small. There wasn't much walking space, but it did have everything we needed. The staff were helpful and courteous. We took a airport shuttle to this hotel. Apparently it's a chain, so if you're on the airport shuttle you'll see multiple Royal Hotels before you arrive at The Shiodome. Try not to get confused!

Yelp
Stayed here for six nights. Very happy with this hotel. Rooms are small but nice. Staff is great. Location is good - right next to Shiodome metro and not far from Shimbashi. Just outside Ginza, so good access to restaurants. A few downsides: * Don't plan on using the laundry. They have all-in-one washer / dryer machines and the drying is a joke. * They don't respond to e-mails. * If you are arriving at Narita airport in the evening, the airport limousine bus straight to the hotel stops running at something like 7:30 pm.

Yelp
What an awesome hotel that would have gotten a 5-star for me if it had a better breakfast buffet menu. First off, the hotel is in the Shiodome area which is very modern and sleek area but can get pretty confusing as their are major roads and train tracks running through the area that require elevated walkways to navigate around the area by foot. The hotel has like 3 different entry ways on various levels, (2) basement level entries and one on the ground floor. The hotel's reception is on the 24th floor, so its a 2-elevator ride to your room, one to get through the lobby area and another bank of elevators to get to your room. When we checked in on a late Friday night, the hotel bar (opposite the hotel lobby) was a happening place as business men and women were enjoying their Friday night. After a long day and bullet train ride from Kyoto, we were a little too spent to join in the fun. Surprisingly Saturday night was kind of quiet at the hotel bar, I guess travelers were already in route back to their home countries for the weekend. But anyway, the check-in process was quick and painless. The room itself was a good size and had all the expected comforts of a 4-star hotel in Asia (bathrobes, pajamas, slippers, large shower, toiletries) and a fantastic view of Tokyo to top it all off. The king sized bed was awesome and the sheets and comforter all looked clean and comfortable. And believe me, I check for all parts of it for stuff that would skeeve me out, but there was none to be found. We had a view of the Conrad hotel across the road and could tell they had a pool on one of their top floors but the Royal Park did not have a pool. After a week of visiting and walking around Japan, we were very ready for a relaxing time to sooth our sore muscles but there was no pool. They do have a gym and spa located in the basement floor. There is also a laundry mat room which was a nice touch for a higher end hotel, but we didn't get a chance to use it. The hotel has a convenience store and a kinkos on the basement level, which also leads you out to the rest of the complex that includes a Tuffy's coffee house, gift shops, some other restaurants (including a Taco Bell !), and the various train stations available in the area. It's an awesomely convenient place that I would loved. The only negative aspect of the hotel and its a more a minor issue is we opted for the breakfast option when we booked the hotel and it allows you to have breakfast at 3 different locations in the hotel (which is a nice touch). The standard western option, chinese, and a vegetarian all at the restaurants in the hotel. At first thought since we stayed here for 3-nights would be we should try all 3 options, but the Chinese breakfast buffet option which we checked out the second morning didn't look all that appetizing and was a little too lazy to go back to the ground floor for to review their vegetarian option. So we ended up having breakfast at their Harmony restaurant with a mix of western (and some Japanese) breakfast options. It seems most other guests at the hotel thought the same as the place gets pretty busy at the buffet area is pretty small so not only is there a wait to get food, but just trying to navigate the area while going back to your table can be difficult at certain times in the morning (think 7-8AM weekdays and Saturday). The food options didn't change day to day and by the 3rd morning, we were already a little bored of the same old options. I wish they would have made an attempt to change some of the food options. Really if the breakfast buffet was a little more creative or if you don't usually take part of the hotel breakfast buffet options, this would be a hands down 5-star experience. But since it was part of my experience, I had to deduct some points for the overall experience. But nonetheless I loved this hotel and the area.

Yelp
Really enjoying our stay. 4.5 stars overall. Breakfast buffet: You should try the hotel breakfast buffet. Lots of salad, fruit including lychee, fresh omelettes, high quality coffee and croissants, comes to about 2800 yen. At 6:30am, no wait like there is at the fish market (arrive at 4:40am, to stand in a 35 person line until 8:25am to get into restaurant), what better options are there! Room: high ceilings, excellent lighting, shower and bidet have good temperature controls. Sink doesn't have much standing space to shave or brush your teeth. Standing at the sink seems a non priority in bathrooms, generally in Tokyo. The window view is outstanding if you are fortunate to get a room with one. WiFi is fast and reliable. Staff: friendly, professional, and go out of their way to help. In-room shaitsu massage: We thought let's splurge since it seems reasonable for in-room service. But it takes place on your bed with your face uncomfortably embedded in those overstuffed pillows, making it hard to breathe when you're getting pummelled. They should bring a nicer folding massage table with some amenities and warm you up before digging into you. It seems they know what they're doing but it feels very transactional and not relaxing. My partner and I wouldn't do this again. Gym: free weights up to 25lbs, a few cardio machines, yoga mat, tall mirrors, good water machine and towels. They lack a bench and any circuit training equipment. This area can improve with more space and equipment given how nice all other aspects of the hotel are. We would stay here again. Thank you staff!

Yelp
A very business-traveller friendly hotel in a fantastic central location. The Royal Park Hotel Shiodome (not to be confused with the Park Hotel Tokyo, just across the street) has everything a business traveller could want such as fitness/ gym (basement floor), express check out, standard international adapters, a very complete toiletry/ room kit and on top of that a maginificent view from the 25th till 39th floor. The economy rooms are small, so a leisure traveller would be better off in the nearby Park Hotel (similar prices and profile, offering a more unobstructed view of Tokyo tower), but apart from that (and the very soft bed for me personally), only positive things can be said about this hotel. The English level of the staff is also adequate. We stayed here only for 1 night and didn't eat the breakfast (Bubby's just down in the shopping mall is a good alternative).

Yelp
Location location location!!! Stayed here the 1st week of June. We're a family of 4 - 2 young kids under the age of 10. We travel quite often and have been to Japan many times before. We've stayed at the Grand Hyatt and Hyatt regency in the past and loved their amenities. we decided to stay at the Shiodome this time due to it's location. Wow, we were not disappointed. The hotel itself is very well kept, clean and modern. I would say on a daily basis there's about 3-4 staff to 1 guest ratio. Very attentive and we were always greeted with a smile! The hotel is very convenient to several metro lines and a mere 10 minute walk to Ginza. the rooms are not very big so we had to stack our luggage but the bathroom has a large shower and tub combo that works well for families with young children. Very comfy beds. Great city view and insulated walls. There is a family mart on the metro level of this hotel and several restaurants nearby. overall, we are very happy with this hotel and will recommend it to friends and family!

Yelp
Absolutely Loved Our Stay !! We stayed in a renovated king room. Loved the room and all of the amenities, especially the fridge. The view was awesome. We dined at restaurants in the hotel and in the area (many to choose from). We were not disappointed. The location is perfect. It is connected to the rail system via an underground walkway with shops, restaurants and a convenience store. The staff was very friendly and helpful with our requests. Although it rained for 4 of our 7 nights, we did not let it dampen our spirits or our trip. We will definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Checked in yesterday. Love love love the view. Affordable elegance. All the staff so far are friendly and helpful. Clean nice sized room. Lots of nice amenities and comfy. If there was n't so much to see in Tokyo, we'd just stay in the room!!

Yelp
Wow! What Service! Wow! Look at the price! The Shiodome hotel was one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at but also one of the priciest. At over $450 a night, shouldn't everything be excellent? Service: The service was good, but good customer service is baseline in Japan. There's bi-lingual staff and an excellent breakfast (Japanese and American) buffet - I like to have a little of everything. However, compared to other comparably priced hotels it didn't seem like there were tons of staff available. Maybe this is normal, or maybe it's an unobtrusive quality? Rooms: Space is limited, but in a $450 hotel room? I had a small room, with a desk at the foot of the bed and a bathroom. Everything was meticulously clean and the room had plenty of natural sunlight with large windows. Location: Close enough. Was close enough to the train station, Bic electronics store, and plenty of restaurants. It's close to the fish market, but I wasn't able to wake up early enough to go. I'd stay here again, but would look around at other hotels first. Not entirely convinced it's the best option in the price range.

Yelp
4.5 overall score. We LOVED the location. Literally right next to Shimbashi station which is super convenient. There was also a Family Mart (convenience store) downstairs near the exercise room which was really nice to have. This hotel is beautiful, everything about it felt very high end but the cost was really affordable (we booked through hotels.com). The value for the money was amazing. There were also nice perks such as complimentary water everyday and Shiseido bath products. We will definitely be back to this hotel when we go back to Tokyo!

Yelp
My family and I just stayed 4 nights at this hotel. It exceeded my expectations. I did a lot of research on the rooms & accommodations before booking our hotel stay. We reserved a deluxe twin room and it was very spacious for Tokyo standards. It was a corner room with 4 large window views of the surrounding city. The bathroom was huge with a separate toilet (the TOTO heated toilet/bidet was awesome) and bathtub/showering area. It was the perfect amount of space for my family of 3 (2 adults & one 7-year old) with our 2 huge luggage and 3 carry-ons. All amenities were provided - pajamas, slippers, toiletries, and complementary bottled water. They even supplied amenities and slippers for my 7-year old. There was also an iron and ironing board in the closet. The room also comes with a mini-fridge, water kettle, work desk, dresser drawer, and small pull-out sofa that can sleep one more person. It was a wonderful stay! We ate at their Harmony restaurant each morning which offers a Western & Asian style buffet breakfast. There is a chef that will cook you fresh eggs/omelets however you want it prepared. They also have a Chinese style and Japanese restaurant which offers breakfast as well. We ate dinner at their Japanese restaurant one night and it was excellent. I found the hotel staff to be very friendly and helpful during our entire stay. All of the staff we encountered, including all of the waitstaff at their restaurants, all spoke some English. The check-in and check-out process was smooth, efficient, and quick. They will also hold your luggage for you, after check-out. My family all loved this hotel and we will definitely stay again on our next trip to Tokyo.

Yelp
I have stayed in hotels around the world and the Royal Park Shiodome stands out as exceptionally thoughtful and extremely well run. Everything was thought through, from the ability to access fresh air in the room to well placed and ample recharging outlets, dead-quiet rooms, extremely comfortable beds, always-working wifi, great staff, very thoughtful cleaning crew. It's not located in the touristy part of town, but is right near the Ginza. We even stayed at the Royal Park in Kyoto which is average compared to the Shiodome. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Yelp
Excellent hotel room and location. The bedroom and bathroom are slightly larger than the normal Tokyo hotels, fits my 6'4 bf and me perfectly. There are two subways close by and plenty of restaurants to choose from that's within walking distance. The hotel lobby's bar area has a great view of the city. Will stay here again if I'm back in the area.

Yelp
Rooms are Tokyo small (or big for Tokyo?), but nicely appointed with good amenities. Breakfast room was poorly laid out and the food was below average. Great location, with lots to do near by.

Yelp
I stayed here in April 2015 because it was convenient for visiting a customer. The location is very convenient with easy and mostly undercover access to Shinbashi and Shiodome subway stations. It is directly across from the Nippon TV building, which features an incredible Studio Ghibli steampunk clock. The proximity to the TV network means that many people staying at the hotel are there to work with NTV. My room was a decent size and WiFi was free. The bed was comfortable and everything worked. Nothing bad to report. It isn't the largest room in the world but then again, it is Tokyo. There are multiple restaurants. I ate at the bar and at the "French" restaurant, which is also where breakfast is served. The night that I arrived, I had a French onion soup and a Japanese beef curry at the bar, both of which were excellent. Breakfast was good with made to order eggs and a decent selection of Western items. The French/breakfast restaurant also affords views of the Tokyo TV tower. All in all, I was very happy with my stay here and would repeat.

Yelp
Our first time visiting Tokyo on our own. We don't speak Japanese but know a few words. Didn't need to because most people spoke good english. Was a little challenging outside but we managed. We needed a extra bed so they made the sofa into a bed for us. If we go back will definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Very convenient location as the property is easily accessible from the Shimbashi Station. Our room on the 38th floor had all of the amenities one needs to be comfortable, including complimentary mineral water, hot water pot, refrigerator, and very nice toiletries. I love that hotels in Japan, in general, supply ample amounts of bath soap and shampoo and conditioner! There is a gym free of charge, and this was convenient for my daughter's late night workout. Wi-Fi is free and reliable. The staff is well-trained and extremely courteous. The view from our room of Tokyo was stunning! The only down-side is that although my understanding is that this entire hotel is supposed to be non smoking, I could smell smoke on a couple of the nights there. I gather that this is unavoidable in Japan hotels.

Yelp
Absolute worst customer service I have ever had considering this is supposed to be a five star hotel. Stay at the Park hotel down the block. You'll thank me later.

Yelp
We stayed at 3 hotels. This one, the park hotel (across the street) and the hotel granvia in kyoto. This hotels rooms were very nice. The only reason for the 4 stars is that their breakfast buffet was worse than the ones in the other hotels. Don't get breakfast at this hotel.

Yelp
Stayed for one night in September 2016, and loved it. This hotel is in The Shiodome (attached to the Shimbashi subway stop), so the location is incredibly convenient. The lobby of the hotel is located on the 24th floor of the Shiodome tower, and then the rooms extend up to the 38th floor. Terrific views of Tokyo from all sides - we had two rooms for our group, and one of them had a direct view of Tokyo Tower. Rooms came with complimentary breakfast at one of the two lobby restaurants (one of them serves a 'Western-style breakfast' that would look familiar to Americans, and the other is called a 'Chinese-style' breakfast. We chose the Western breakfast, and it was excellent, so I can't speak to the Chinese-style breakfast). The hotel does not have room service (that I could see), but there are plenty of places to eat within easy walking distance. Best of all, we flew out of Narita Airport after checking out, and the hotel was able to arrange bus tickets ('Friendly Airport Limousine') - we paid for the tickets on our hotel bill, and the bus picked us up right at the hotel, so we didn't have to load suitcases into a taxi (or the subway). Wonderful stay! I definitely would recommend.
