New Wine Bar RSRV Will Open in East Austin | Eater Austin

"Opening in March ahead of SXSW, this East Austin wine bar aims for a “prestigious but not pretentious” vibe that builds community around wine as storytelling. Founded by University of Texas friends Jeremy Hills, Ricky Soto, and Antonio Guevara, the project converts a former gas station into a cozy indoor–outdoor spot with garage doors that open in good weather, a tall copper fence, a centerpiece chandelier in the outdoor area, and a vintage gas pump repurposed as a wine tap. The menu will feature Old- and New-World wines by the glass and bottle, low- and non-alcoholic options, beers, and a small food selection of snacks, bites, charcuterie boards, and cheese plates. Planned programming includes live music, consideration of Moët & Chandon Champagne vending machines, and a second phase expansion adding more outdoor seating and a covered patio; the partners are also raising funds to open a speakeasy bar next door. Emphasis is on bridging the neighborhood’s history and its changes while offering an inviting, community-focused take on wine." - Nadia Chaudhury

Edit: I returned a couple of weeks later in the evening and saw the entrance floor was cleaned. I had a much better experience with Nia. My guest and I were treated kindly. We enjoyed a bottle at the bar. This time we tried a charcuterie board. They come in cute boxes and appear to be made from a third party. There is a food truck in the front if you are hungry for more. After surveilling the property again, I think they would benefit from darker flooring and outdoor cushions because lighter colors require high upkeep. With a high traffic space of red wine drinkers, means you’ll need to act immediately to treat spills and prevent staining. It’s worth highlighting that the bathrooms are nice and clean though. Overall, this is still a good spot for a nice little date. This time, no DJ so just a playlist going in the stereos. They had it at a perfect volume so you can still have a comfortable conversation with the person next to you. Mr.Soto did his best to make my next visit better and I greatly appreciate that. It’s nice to see owners truly care about their business and want to maintain good standards. I have modified my rating and wish this business continued growth. —————— Came during the day, very low crowd. Not a problem but then it doesn’t make sense why it looked like a crowd trampled through from the nearest trail. Immediately upon walking in you’re met with a muddy floor. It looked like things weren’t cleaned from the night before or possibly the week before. Many missed spots on the inside as well. Seats were stained in outside patio and at the bar. It’s a shame because they have a nice layout and it’s well designed but kinda dirty. There were children there but they stayed outside and played corn hole or stayed with their family in the patio area. I personally think it’s weird to bring kids to a wine bar. This is more of an adult environment in my opinion but it seems like they allow them to be there. The bartender, Nicole, was unpleasant within the initial interaction with her. It nearly turned me away and made me leave. She was short and seemed like she didn’t want to be there or provide customer service. We got a bottle and it was placed in a holder with no ice to keep it chilled so not sure why it needed to go in there because it was heavy. The wine was okay. The bottle and glass prices are a bit steep. You can definitely get the same quality if not slightly better for less at other places. We were told they were out of charcuterie boards although we could see meats and other fixings in the fridge. I think if you get a bottle they can at least offer a small charcuterie board with it. The DJ (DJ Jim) was a saving grace. He was very good and played a mix of R&B songs which is reason we ended up staying. They could use a speaker outside to hear the music out there as well.

Still thinking about the amazing time we had here—such a gem in Austin with a vibe that truly transports you.✨ Crystal took care of us and gave such thoughtful, friendly service—she knew the menu like the back of her hand and made us feel so welcome. We were vibing to ‘90s throwbacks and house music thanks to the DJ, and the space is perfect whether you’re keeping it low-key or posted up in the intimate back room with a group. Their wine list spans South Africa, France, California, and more—and the wine flights are perfect if you’re still figuring out what your palate loves. 🍷 And the charcuterie board? Incredible. Huge thanks to @cheeseondecktx for the perfect balance of sweet + savory. So good paired with the wine. 📍Happy Hour: Sun–Fri 4–6pm ($8 house wine) 📍Reverse Happy Hour: Sun–Thurs 8–10pm Definitely recommend for a cozy date night or girls night—just go ahead and order that second glass. 🍷💫

I had been dying to check this place out for months and it didn’t disappoint. The wine selection is thoughtfully curated and the ambiance is just perfect. They also recently introduced a charcuterie menu and everything was delicious. It was the perfect spot for a girls night and I will absolutely be returning soon. Highly recommend!

This place was AMAZING. First, the mood and the ambiance was so aesthetically pleasing. Also, the wide selections of wine to other drinks really made the experience better. I even recommend this place for parties or events as well. I personally would recommend the Sauvignon Blanc for the wine, and the charcuterie board to pair with your drinks! Will be visiting again!!!

Wow, what a gem! Tucked away in East Austin, this spot is a total vibe. From the moment you walk in, it feels like a chic hideout — upscale and effortlessly cool. Inside, it’s giving bougie in the best way with stunning decor and cozy corners perfect for sipping and socializing. Their wine selection? Chef’s kiss. Pair it with a loaded charcuterie board or something tasty from the on-site food truck, and you’re set. The outdoor area is spacious and inviting — ideal for a fun night out with a group.
