This place was a very nice stay. The whole staff seemed like they really liked working there and took pride in their work. They were very accommodating and quick to assist. The hotel itself is really cute and quaint. It's tucked away in trees right next to a creek, but yet it is in a central location of Round Rock. The hotel kind of has a quirky personality of its own as if they brought a mystery woman, Ruby, to life. I really enjoyed my stay.

This was my second time staying at the Ruby. First time was summer of 2024. Both times were excellent with zero complaints. The Ruby is a magical place and there's no where else like it that I've seen. I stayed in building A both times and personally love being so close to the creek and all the wildlife. I think it is one of the best parts of the Ruby. I never had any issues with parking..not sure what the other reviews are complaining about. Parking is totally fine. Also see reviews about rude bar staff. The bar staff was nothing but friendly, accommodating and lovely every time I've been into the bar. I've interacted with several different staff and they've all been great.

Beautiful hidden place in the city of Round Rock. Felt similar to a small resort but you’re also close to the local food places and definitely didn’t feel like you’re in the city. I felt super relaxed being here. Johnathan at the front desk provided great customer service. Food at the bar was also good. Only downside is the pool doesn’t face the creek. There were no elevators in my building so a side note for the heavy packers 😜

We had a small getaway for one day with my husband and I chose The Ruby Hotel in Round Rock!! It was amazingly beautiful! Hotel is in such quiet place, surrounded by forest and overlooking to the river! Clean, quiet rooms, super cute, very well maintained, super friendly staff. The only downside is that bar was not open. Our room was on a second floor. Also it was that crazy weekend where Texas has a lot of rains and floods so river does not look as pretty as before. Overall I like it very much!

Stayed here for an anniversary trip with my husband and it was great! Staff was friendly, rooms were great! Patios, bar and food were awesome! The pool area could definitely get a glow-up. It’s pretty bland, cold even when the weather is comfortable due to the shade. Although, I did enjoy the shade and surroundings of nature around the hotel. A temperature controlled pool would be a great. Maybe a hot tub. Otherwise highly recommend! *Kids probably wouldn’t find it super enjoyable. The Ruby is more about relaxation vs fun.

Extremely sweet and comfortable boutique hotel. Spacious and very clean. Large bathroom with thoughtful amenities like cotton buds provided. I liked the vintage decor pieces in my room. The bed was sooo comfy. It’s very convenient to have a restaurant that served breakfast lunch and dinner on site. Kyle is very friendly and helpful. The finishings in the room were a bit builder grade but it’s really not an issue. The only issues I had was someone got into my vehicle in the night but thankfully I didn’t have valuables in there. And the shower didn’t get warm enough for me. The thermostat was a bit hard to figure out, but it maintained the perfect sleeping temp!!

Now that I finally have some time to write, I thought I would come back and add some more to my review. We were actually staying at a different hotel locally when we came across this one on Google (thanks to my last name). Decided to drive by and check it out and we were hooked. We actually checked out of our old hotel early to come here because we loved it so much. It was exactly what my family needed for a great vacation. The whole vibe is amazing. Just a low-key, calm, beautiful place to stay. The rooms are very nice and very well designed. The views along the creek are amazing as well. The pool was such a game changer for my kids. And I have so much to say about the food and drinks there. Just everything we had was top-notch and delicious. I cannot recommend this place enough. Whenever we visit the Round Rock area again, this will be our place! So yes, do yourself a favor and stay here over the other places in town!

From the moment I arrived, The Ruby Hotel in Round Rock, TX, cast a spell on me. Nestled right on the banks of Brushy Creek, this hotel is an absolute gem that combines modern chic with a tranquil, natural setting. The location is perfect. You're steps away from the charm of downtown Round Rock, with its delightful shops and restaurants, yet you feel like you've escaped to a peaceful retreat. The creek views from many of the rooms are simply magical – imagine waking up to the gentle sounds of the water and the sight of lush greenery. The hotel itself is a design masterpiece. The rooms are beautifully appointed, with a stylish, contemporary feel. They're spacious, comfortable, and equipped with everything you could possibly need. The attention to detail is evident throughout, from the plush bedding to the thoughtful amenities. The Ruby Hotel isn't just about the rooms; it's about the experience. The outdoor pool is a refreshing oasis, and the bar/lounge is the perfect spot to unwind with a craft cocktail. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. If you're looking for a hotel that offers a unique blend of style, comfort, and natural beauty, The Ruby Hotel is it. It's more than just a place to stay; it's a destination in itself. I can't recommend it highly enough!

Yelp
My husband and I stopped in here yesterday for HH n a kid free week and have already begun planning a staycation! The grounds are beautiful, the staff were friendly and on it, and the cocktails were divine! We already wanted to go back today but thought that might be a bit much....but there's always tomorrow! Fantastic bar - can't wait to see the hotel experience as a guest as well!

Yelp
Do not sleep on the strawberry fields drink! It is great! They also serve yummy appetizers! I got the pulled pork tacos and my friends got the fig pizza and the Cuban sandwich. They said both were tasty as well! The service was efficient, there was a male and a female bartender who were attentive and helpful with ordering our food. I will be back with my husband and possibly other friends to try other drinks and items to eat! The ambiance was nice, it had a charming vibe but I would change the musty smell. It's an older building and I have a sensitive nose. I was also told they make a really great Old Fashioned which I will for sure be getting next time!

Yelp
The Ruby Hotel was absolutely amazing. My room was so so clean and charming. Everyone who worked there was lovely and super accommodating. The staff at the front desk walked me to my room and showed me where the restaurant was. I wanted room service, so they let me know I could order to go and take back to my room. The bed was really comfortable and I had a great sleep. If you're looking for a quiet and beautiful getaway I'd recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Amazing staffed served our group all night. We were there from 6:30-9:00. This was such an awesome dinner location, hanging out on the patio was so relaxing and the food was amazing. Thank you for the fantastic evening!

Yelp
We stayed at The Ruby for one night this weekend. I wish we could have stayed longer, as we really enjoyed our stay. From check in to check out, the experience was stellar. I loved the modern and bright feel of the room. The bed was comfortable and the views of the creek made the experience even better. Waking up we saw cows resting near the water and going to bed we saw egrets nesting. The bar next door was a fun spot to have an Old Fashioned. The weather was perfect and we sat outside on the patio and then ventured inside for some live music. Service was friendly. Next time we are in the area we will stay here again!

Yelp
The patio at the Ruby is such a beautiful, peaceful spot to enjoy a meal and time with friends. There is comfortable seating and umbrellas for shade. The tacos were very good and filling. The prices are reasonable.

Yelp
I finally was able to get back to the Ruby. But guess what? no parking. We ended up going downtown instead but I really wanted to enjoy a few cocktails and apps here. Maybe next time, Ruby. Really wish there was a few more parking spots as this isnt the first time this has happened. Advice: try to ride together, less cars, more people, more fun!

Yelp
Absolutely love this space! It's so cute. The decorations totally match the ambiance. The staff are attentive friendly and fun! And the drinks and snacks are on point!!

Yelp
What a cute, fun hotel! We stayed for a wedding along with our two sons and their families. The rooms were pretty, comfy and had funky retro decor. The little kids were delighted with the balconies where we could all see each other! Food was great at the bar/ restaurant! Appetizers were good while we waited for each other - then nice choices for brunch this morning. We would definitely visit again!

Yelp
We stayed at The Ruby for 8 days in March and it was a good experience with some interesting highs and lows. Staff were awesome throughout, including at their bar/restaurant. Their system of relying on text-messages made it very easy to ask various questions throughout without having to head to the front desk. Parking was good, and they have two lots that never got completely full--no trouble finding a spot throughout the day/night. We had a king bed room in the A building, second floor. The room itself was ok, with a very large TV and a nice walk in shower. The rooms in the A building seem to have views of the river, and ours had a great view with no trees obstructing the river. The sink area was a bit small and anything left on it tended to get wet. The bed was not good, and both of us found that one side yielded back pain after sleeping on it. The river and your views of it from the room and the bar's patio is a key feature of The Ruby. We spent a decent amount of time watching the various kinds of birds, fish, and ridiculous number of turtles. We tried their binoculars package and that made the experience even better. The bar/restaurant was a bit small and had odd seating arrangements; they are clearly going for something cozy and more home-like. Breakfast options during the week are bad, and I don't understand why: 2 kinds of breakfast tacos which were sitting in a warmer for hours, and 1 kind of muffin--that's it. If you were thinking that's ok if it's included with the room, well it's not included and you have to pay. Other times of the day they have an actual kitchen going, but you're better off going anywhere else for mid-week breakfasts. We had brunch on a weekend and options were ok and the food was reasonably good, but it does seem like the restaurant is a missed opportunity for The Ruby. Cocktails at the bar were good, and they let you take them back to the rooms. Overall, the wildlife watching on the river and the view is the main attraction here, and really differentiates The Ruby from most every other hotel/motel in the area. I hope they refresh their mattresses soon as that's really the only thing that would keep us from coming back in the future.

Yelp
Cute place tucked away in downtown Round rock. There was 2 bartenders working but really could have used a cocktail waitress as well. You can only order at the bar. They do not come out and serve you in the open patio but will run food out to you when it's ready. The patio is the best place to be in perfect weather. It's first come, first serve on the tables. The snacks were really good we ended up ordering the Parmesan truffle popcorn twice bc it was that good. The chipotle nachos were also a stand out snack. The right out of smokiness and spice. I did like Mediterranean trio aka hummus but definitely order extra pita. Drinks were too sweet for me. Would probably just stick to wine if I go back.

Yelp
Such a cute bar with innovative drinks, stopped here for a snack and a drink to meetup with one of my girlfriends before dinner. The ambiance was super homey as the bar is a house that was repurposed into a bar/ lounge space for the hotel. The strawberry speciality drink had simple ingredients but was really refreshing on a hot summer day. The truffle popcorn actually tasted like truffle and was evenly coated. It'll be a really cute place to go to if you're looking for a classier bar in the downtown round rock area. Will be back for the cooler fall nights to sit on the patio!

Yelp
The Ruby Hotel is an excellent little place to stay. The staff is kind, efficient, and so welcoming. The rooms are clean and have a very hip mid-century aesthetic that makes you want to walk over to the The Ruby Bar (which is the coolest bar in the city), order an Old Fashioned and sit around sipping all day like Don Draper.

Yelp
We took my Dad there Friday for happy hour to start his bday celebration. He got a dos xx and I got the old fashioned, which may be my favorite in atx. Great views and upscale ambiance...never too crowded.

Yelp
Cute, cute! We popped in for a post brunch cocktail and were delighted with the decor as well as the cocktails. Service was on point. We will be back when we can linger!

Yelp
The bar is cute. I appreciated the draft beer selection. The views from the back patio were sweet. We even spotted a cow across the ravine. I wish there was more shade on the patio. Maybe add a few more umbrellas. Also, it would be nice to have a server take our orders instead of going to the bar. We probably would have had another drink. Might be back!

Yelp
I do not recommend this establishment. It appears that they focus more on the bar then the hotel. * Poor lighting in the room * Broken toilet seat in the bathroom * No hot water in the bathroom sink * Used products in the bathroom that are not sanitary safe *Coffee area: Cups to small for the coffee dispensed, only 2 packs of regular sugar vs tons of sugar substitutes, no creamer * Maids start talking loudly and goofing off with each other at 8:30 am. It's one thing for it to be guests but staff should value the quiet and privacy of guests that may still be resting. I would not have reviewed for the above reasons and just chalked it up to experience, however being walked in on while I was naked and getting dressed was enough to give this establishment a bad review and encourage others to avoid this place. This was trespassing (it was my paid for room at that point) and a violation of my privacy. Check out is a 11 am. We were told that and it states that on the website. It was a little after 10 am and I had finished my shower and was getting dressed when I heard the door open and saw a body coming in. I yelled, "get out" to the top of my voice. After she backed out and closed the door, my husband told me that she had just looked at him when he came in the door a few minutes earlier and so she knew we were still there! He also said that he'd just come back from the office to tell them that the toilet seat was broke and he was reminded at that time that check out was at 11 am. The maid's name is Anna because I went back out after dressing and asked what her name was. I told her again that she had no business entering that room before 11 am and before we'd checked out. That room is paid for until 10:59 am or on the dot at 11 am. I would never recommend this establishment to anyone and the local that recommended it to me will hear of my story.

Yelp
Hotel bar: Oh my goodness..I hesitated to post a review because I want to keep this place to myself!! Met a friend here for brunch. What a find! The view was fantastic...the breakfast bagel sandwich was like crack...SO GOOD. The service from Sophie and Josh was seriously the best ever. You do have to order at the bar, but they were so attentive and personable. I will be back again and again!

Yelp
**Avoid this place at all costs for celebrations!** We came to celebrate my friend's 50th birthday, and the ridiculous policies of this bar made it a disaster! Although this place does not allow reservations, I had called and informed them that a group of 10 ladies will be there. First off, we ordered and paid for our drinks INDIVIDUALLY at the bar--yet they slapped on a 25% gratuity just because we were a group of 10 ladies. No table service was provided, so what exactly were we tipping for? We even put back the empty glasses back at the bar counter without leaving them on the table for them to clear. And boy, were the bar staff RUDE or what! They kept a grumpy face while serving us our drinks. Not one was friendly and smiling!! And they made the cocktails so light on alcohol that even after 3-4 drinks, none of us had even a slight buzz! Next, we brought a small cake, cut and served it ourselves with our own plates and forks, yet they charged us $40 for that. The nickel-and-diming here is insane. They initially refused to let us sit in the main bar area, wanting to shove us into a lifeless, characterless boardroom that was nothing but blank walls and furniture, completely devoid of atmosphere. But we refused to move. The bar was half-empty the whole time we were there until 10.30 PM!! To top it off, the manager Cole approved us bringing a pair of 50th birthday balloons, but when we arrived, the other manager forced us to move them to a corner of the dull boardroom, despite us saying it was pre-approved. This place is NOT where you want to celebrate anything!!!! Take your money somewhere that will actually appreciate your business. We certainly won't be coming back!

Yelp
Super cute boutique hotel within walking distance to downtown Round Rock with nice water views from the rooms. Staff is very friendly and helpful...providing great recommendations on places to eat and things to do within the area. The one thing that was somewhat of a bummer, the pool is tiny! But I was generally the only person using it, so that helped. There is also a gym on-site with longer hours versus the pool (9 to 9). I've stayed here twice, and if on business again in the area, will come back!

Yelp
Food 10/10. Not expensive but looks and tastes like it is! Service 10/10. From the front desk to the waitress and the even the cleaning crew, everyone was kind and seemed happy to be working there! The place overlooks a beautiful little creek. Very clean, quiet and close to downtown round rock! 25 minutes from Austin. Great place to stay. Kid and dog friendly!

Yelp
We stayed at the Ruby for Valentines and it was wonderful. Our room was fully accessible and had a great view of the creek and birds. From booking to checkin to departure everything was very easy and the staff communicated quickly and appropriately. The bar staff were welcoming and made very nice craft cocktails. Our only complaint was the bar closed early so we weren't able to enjoy a nightcap after our meal offsite...bummer. We plan to make this our 'home' when in the Austin area.

Yelp
On a recent trip to south Texas, we decided to stay in Round Rock one night on the way there and again on the way back home to Oklahoma. Shining reviews from YELPers left us no doubt we had made a good choice with The Ruby Hotel and Bar. A day or so ahead of each reserved night, I received a message re: remote check-in. Mayra was my contact. She made the whole process sleek and simple, from sending pictures of me holding my ID and my ID by itself to directions for entering the room on our arrival. It was so nice to drive up and move straight into our room. The guest rooms are compact, but efficient, with a European twist to the accommodations. Each has a front door with a coded lock and a sliding glass door to a patio or balcony that overlooks Brushy Creek. The area surrounding this boutique hotel is quiet and relaxing. Get ready for delicious espresso instead of coffee. The Rose Bar is in a separate building. Inside, the bar has the ambience of a living room, complete with fireplace. There is a patio with tables, benches, umbrellas and a view of Brushy Creek. I suggest the appetizer, Mediterranean Trio. From the menu: hummus w/roasted garlic, tzatziki w/ preserved lemon, muhammar w/za'atar - toasted pita & pickled vegetables. I can't wait to be in Round Rock again, and at the Ruby Hotel and Bar.

Yelp
I cannot explain to you what a treasure this hotel is, words don't do it justice. It is set in the most beautiful place, you think you're driving through in a residential area but then it comes to the hotel and it really does sort of seem set away from everything even if it's not really. It's magical. Check in was so easy and they have the most beautiful glassware for sale. The guy that checked me in was so nice and so polite, just an easy experience. The room that I got was amazing, the decor will make you so happy. It has a balcony with sliding glass doors and it overlooks this really pretty creek and they have a chair out there so you can sit and enjoy the view. It's just amazing. There's a bar to the side of the hotel that is excellent. The drinks are amazing and the decor is also fabulous. You can sit outside or you can sit at the bar. You have to see this place, it's stunning!

Yelp
Drinks are good and the scenic view in the back was nice! Definitely great for a happy hour with work mates or casual date night.

Yelp
My favorite hidden gem to have a drink, hang out with friends, and enjoy the vibes. The food is delicious. Must get an old fashioned! This tiny bar ticks all the boxes for vibes, libations, and eats.

Yelp
My wife and I booked an anniversary stay at The Ruby hotel this past week. When we arrived we were placed in an ADA room despite having specifically chosen a non-ADA room. We asked to move and the front desk clerk was very argumentative but ultimately able to move us to another king room. We were disappointed to discover that there was a large yellow stain on the top sheet of the bed and long dark hair all over the bed and underneath the sheets. We asked to have housekeeping come and change the bedding while we went to the bar and the clerk told us housekeeping was gone for the day. We asked for a clean room and he was very annoyed which was a shocking response to learning the room wasn't clean. He put us in another room. We immediately checked the bed to find it was also covered in the same long dark hair both on top of the sheets and underneath the fitted sheet, as well as small brown stains on the sheets by the pillows Not sure if the hair is a result of housekeeping not pulling their hair up. But it's not the cleanliness level or customer service level we'd expect from any hotel let alone a "luxury boutique hotel." We ended up staying at the Van Zandt where they immediately upgraded us to a suite with champagne. When we reached out to the General Manager (Diana) of The Ruby she was also completely unapologetic and dismissive in her response to the situation. So they truly do not care if their rooms are clean or if their guests have a good or bad experience. Spend your money and your time elsewhere!

Yelp
I came in last weekend for a friend's birthday. As this was a major milestone birthday for her, we wanted to come here to relax and have a chill time. When pulling into the entrance to this location, you are greeted by the calm that many have relocated to Round Rock for. When we approached the bar area, we advised that we came in for brunch. However, we were told by the staff that brunch was no longer being served in general. This was disappointing as this is the only reason that we came. Although we were disappointed, we did not want to find another place to celebrate on the fly, so we ordered a bottle of champagne. The two women working the bar area were extremely apologetic that the website was not updated to reflect the lack of brunch. The experience that we had here was nice as was the service. I mean because who can mess up a bottle of champagne?

Yelp
I met a friend for happy hour at the Ruby Bar. It's a beautifully decorated space next to the boutique hotel. There are 3 different rooms as well as a large patio. My friend and I scored the super comfy seats close to the bar. We ordered at the bar, and then everything was brought to us. I started with the Ruby Old Fashioned. The name of the bar was imprinted in the ice cube- so cute! The drink was smooth and perfectly balanced. I ordered the deviled eggs- they were good, with a punch of heat from the chicharron and smoked paprika oil. The popcorn was delicious. I ordered the Love Me Tender next; it was light and refreshing and was served in a fun Tiki glass. The pulled pork tacos were good if a little greasy. They could have also used a little salt. Austin, our bartender, provided excellent service, and we will definitely come again.

Yelp
It kinda feels like an AirB&B but in a motel form. You can check in normally at the front desk, but if you want, you can text with the front desk and they'll get you checked in and send you your check in information without ever having to see someone face-to-face. You get your door code and you can just go straight to bed. The room is cute. It's got an old time feel but with modern conveniences. Our bathroom had green shower tile that I really liked. The bed was comfortable and the grounds were well kept. The back of our room opens up to Brushy Creek. It's not anything super special but it's better than looking at rooftops or a highway or a wall. It's nature, so you can sit out there and drink your coffee or read a book or just breathe the fresh air. The Cafe is great. We got brunch food and it hit the spot and was convenient since it's just a hop, skip and a jump next door. It's actually a converted home and it overlooks Brushy Creek too. The waitstaff was very nice and the front desk responsive and helpful. It's just a couple minutes off the highway so you can get to where you need to go. I'd stay here again if I was in Round Rock again.

Yelp
Regarding Easter Event: remember 3 stars is still good there were just several issues with the event that could be tweaked for next year. Loved the music, the weather... food was ooookay, vendors were few and not catered to the clientele that purchased tickets to the event. Tickets had to be pre-purchased so the Ruby knew how many were showing up but there wasn't much seating, especially for a family type holiday where the marketing was pulling families with young children. There was one table of customers who were very rude when our seats were taken while we had come back with hot food, staff was friendly but seemed slightly ill prepared. The staff wasn't on top of their schedule like they weren't told what was published, all kids were lined up at 1pm as per the schedule but several had to pressure them to begin before 1:30. Seemed like maybe they were hoping the adults would spend more on alcohol whale waiting around? Overall the experience was wonderful but for the price what was offered was weak. Maybe an omelet bar would have solved the food debacle and elevated the offerings. But some of the biscuits were like bricks, pancakes couldn't stay stocked and bacon was either not cooked or sitting in an inch of grease. They did list what would be offered but seeing it in person was a little disappointing, felt like a days inn hot continental breakfast. Next "family" event Consider finding Vendors offering jewelry, children's clothes, spring things as would have been more appropriate for who they were marketing this event to. I planned to spend money but didn't even wonder over to look as what was on display was clear it wasn't for us. I felt bad for the vendors as there just wasn't interest in purchasing in plants, rockabilly clothing or adult art at a family Easter brunch. Next year please prep more seating and have a host seat tables rather than let guests walk around wondering what to do. Several tables around us were complaining under their breath as they ate their $40 a person brunch on patio loveseats. Again, loved the idea of the event; the music and weather made it & with only a few changes this event could be 5 stars rather than 3 (which is still good). In no way am I looking to bash The Ruby as it is such a gem! Not every event or visit can be 5 stars and 3 isn't BAD, it's average or above average and that's for this specific experience. Thank you Ruby for hosting a nice event for Easter and we will be looking for future events there. We look forward to staying as a couple and enjoying the venue as adults.

Yelp
The Ruby Bar is a hidden gem, downtown Round Rock, Brushy Creek creekside. I met a few women for a networking event, Tuesday night 7pm. It's a cool, trendy, old school vibe with beautiful, peaceful views of the creek. Try to catch sunset outside if you can. I had a great balls of fire (spicy margarita) and a rebel rouser (tequila old fashioned), both drinks were tasty! Our bartender, Brian, was awesome! His assistant, Austin, did a great job too! Both were friendly and prompt! I ordered the pulled pork tacos and holy moly, they were delicious! Great flavor. Next time, I'll try the burger. I hear it's really good too. There's plenty of outdoor seating, if the weather is right, sit outside. 10/10 recommend. I'll be back again and again.

Yelp
Tip: go to their website, click on Ruby Rewards, then sign up for Stash Rewards. When we booked thru Stash it saved 15% off, so we decided to spring for the corner King room for what we were planning to spend on a regular room. Tip 2: request building A, it's furthest away from the construction. We enjoyed our stay. Only downside was that I could smell the cleaning solution down the hallway before we even opened the room door. They don't allow early check in or late check out in order to "air out the room" but I'm not sure how much the extra time they saved helped. Kinda weird b/c the hotel was fairly empty so not allowing early check in/late checkout is weird. I developed a mild headache that lasted the entire stay b/c of the strong smell, and it seemed like the cleaning person had literally just left. The bar is nice, and the bartenders always had a smile when they spoke to guests. It was nuts how busy the bar was for a weekday at 4:30pm. I would also suggest texting for check in instructions early. They require you to send a picture of you holding your ID, and separate photos of your ID, as well as the last 4 digits of the CC you used (if you opt for text check in, that is). In that text with the info they also provided the terms link to agree to which is easily missed, especially while doing all the aforementioned. I like that they send you a map also thru text. Figuring out where to park was sorta disorienting, and our pizza delivery person said the same thing lol. Overall it's nice, but def wouldn't pay more than $150 for a room. The weekend price was almost double, which I couldn't justify given their teeeeny tiny pool and the overall dorm room feel of the hotel rooms. I think the bar is cute and worth a visit. Kinda reminds me of a bar that would be in a murder mystery. I liked the journal on the nightstand, seems like someone stayed in that corner room every 4 days. It also had information cut/pasted in (such as the wild life you'll see outside), and you can tell they put a lot of effort into those journals for each room.

Yelp
Everything about this little gem in Round Rock is amazing. Looking forward to having a nice little (or long) staycation here.

Yelp
Because of the price I'm rating this place five stars. Now if it was expensive, it'd be lacking in some areas but for the price - it's perfect. The bed is pretty comfortable, balcony is nice to a pretty water and bushy greenery view, very nice front desk staff (shout out to Aaron!), shower was roomy but dated, room was pretty clean but the rugs on the concrete floors were dirty and in need for a cleaning. The bar was crowded and loud and not the scene for me so I can't rate if it was good or not but it was a great setting - inside and out. The pool is small but cute, and I loved that it had a pretty good fitness center. Downside is we had crickets in the room every night. I am not sure how they got inside! Wonderful quiet location but needs more parking. During busier times you'll have to find street parking which is never good for a hotel. I'd come back if I ever visited Austin again!

Yelp
A perfect boutique hotel. Tucked away in a quiet Round Rock neighborhood, is the Ruby Hotel. The bar has a mid-century feel to it. Dark woods, leather sofas and chairs with coffee tables feel like chilling in your own living room. The snacks available at the bar are limited, but tasty nonetheless. We enjoyed our cocktails, and looked forward to an evening splash in the minimalist pool. Our room had beautiful decor, and a shower ample enough for two to enjoy. If you are just looking for something different or maybe a romantic staycation, I highly recommend the Ruby Hotel. Let me know what you think. Enjoy!

Yelp
Great live music, great cocktails, beautiful views. One of my favorite places to have a cute night out in Round Rock

Yelp
I recently stayed here for a week and generally liked this hotel quite a bit. It felt like a small oasis amidst the freeways and strip malls that seem to make up most of Round Rock. The grass, trees and view of Brushy Creek were welcome after some very stressful days. It was also nice to be able to walk into Round Rock's downtown area and be able to get a meal without having to drive. The staff here was always great and everyone was friendly and helpful. I did notice that the view from the rooms was of varying quality. Because of a last-minute change of plans I had to extend my stay and switch rooms, which meant going from a room with a creek view to one that overlooked the pool. The creek view rooms are definitely superior. There were a few small items that made me think this hotel was very good but not great. In my first room the cleaning wasn't great. It wasn't gross or anything like that but there was some dust and cob webs. The water pressure was also a bit off in the shower. In our second room I noticed a couple of piece of furniture that were quite scuffed up. The hotel pool was nice but kind of small for the number of guests they had during the summer. As others have mentioned the bar that's attached to here is quite charming. Drinks are pretty good, staff is friendly, the location is beautiful. Drink prices are also very reasonable during happy hour. If I come back to the area I'd happily stay here again. With just a bit more attention to detail in a few areas this place could be exceptional. One thing I should add is that this hotel is geared more towards recreational rather than business travelers. The rooms don't have any kind of desk or good space to work from. The hotel wi-fi is also totally unsecured which a lot of employers won't love.

Yelp
The food and drinks are delicious. It is in the pricey end, but worth it for a special night out. The inside is cozy with couches and lounge chairs- or bar stools if you prefer. the outside isn't too big but pretty, relaxing and quiet. Live music alert night! Inside they even have a few games you can play while enjoying dinner and drinks.

Yelp
What a fun place and an absolute hidden gem in Round Rock! We visited the Ruby Bar only on this visit and what a cute and quaint place it is. The decor is modern chic and they have a good mix of outdoor open patio space overlooking Brushy Creek, covered patio space and space under a beautifully lit tree. Their cocktail list is full of tasty unique concoctions. They also have small snacks and other food options. Indoor space is also available with a mix of small rooms with sitting areas, all within a beautiful design motif. Even though you are streets away from downtown Round Rock and I-35, you feel completely far removed from it. The space is green and serene! The only small challenge is parking. It's very limited as it is shared with the hotel. This hotel/bar is in the middle of a neighborhood so street parking is also challenging. Aside from that, we had a pretty fun time, and enjoyed our drinks and the food. CoVid 19 protocols were intact and respected by all. We'll be back and we look forward to a fun staycation at the hotel too.

Yelp
Oh the drinks, the vibe, the ambiance!! Everything was such a mood. My bird and I went and sat out on the patio and enjoyed the weather. The service was perfect, everyone was very friendly and attentive. I will for sure be back to this little hidden gem and enjoy some snacky -snacks. I may check out staying over the weekend to have a nice little get away.

Yelp
Our stay at The Ruby Hotel was wonderful! The staff was outstanding from the moment we arrived until the time we left. Heaven made planning our staff retreat effortless. Mayra and April were so kind and helpful with our rooms. Olivia served our team in the conference room and provided a great breakfast, lunch, and snacks for our entire staff during our retreat. Many of our team can't wait to return for a trip with our families. Thank you for a wonderful stay at The Ruby Hotel!

Yelp
Staff is beyond friendly, and the grounds are immaculate! I love how easy the check in process was, it's done remotely, via photograph of your face and id. Everything is done via text message and it makes it so nice to just go straight to your room and unwind. Also the text message updates about happy hour and events is a kind reminder you're not stuck to your room. The hotel is simple with a small pool, rooms are cozy with beautiful balconies that overlook the creek. The bar/restaurant is delicious and so much more than I could of expected of such a quant little hotel. Room is spacious, clean and comfortable bed and pillows! King bed, large shower, good water pressure, all the channels you could want on the big tv. Lots of lights on dimmers and a little individual coffee maker. Restaurant has super friendly and accommodating staff. Being 8 months pregnant I got the most delicious virgin margarita on the rocks- perfect sweet to sour. I also ordered the shredded pork sandwich which was the perfect amount of food, accompanied with a side of bbq chips and a sweet and spicy sauce for your sandwich. It was honestly delicious. Can't recommend this cute little neighborhood hotel enough! The comfy beds sold me, the food kept me fed well, and the small size and pool was perfect for enjoying some sunny book weather.

Yelp
Heaven helped my family plan the most beautiful and perfect bridal shower. The entire team made sure my guests were taken care of, the food was delicious and set up beautifully, and we had the entire bar to ourselves.

Yelp
We stay at the Ruby 2, 3 times a year. It's our staycation getaway spot. The staff is always so friendly and accommodating from the front desk, housekeeping, along with the F&B staff. Food is always solid. Simple, but quality. We appreciate our experiences every visit and the hard work put in by all. Reccomend for overnights, the transient traveler, and for couples getaways. It's tucked away behind downtown Round Rock, giving it the secluded feel to it. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
I am proud to say I had my first solo staycation at this hotel last week and it was the most perfect place! Immediately upon going in the lobby, I'm in love with the quaint character of the vibe. It's cute and unique. The man at the desk was kind, efficient, and very helpful! My room was a dream! I wish I would've taken more pictures than videos so I could share, but it was spacious and very accommodating for one person (still accommodating even if it was 2). Two robes, coffee, and water are all provided, which I loved as I didn't want to wander around too much with the cold weather and being a woman alone. In the evening, I did venture to the bar for a Frito pie and that was a cute area! It wasn't busy so I had a barely had a wait. My food had the potential to be amazing, but it was just spicy! I could only handle 4 bites before sitting it to the side - if you like spice, the flavor is there!! I was blessed to see all the pretty wild birds and even cattle the morning I checked out! This made my patio worth it and just made the morning even more beautiful! I had to dock one star because my heat seemed to not work or work well. Check out was at 11 and I did text the number about it, but figured since I was leaving in 2 hours, I didn't want to have them come up (again, I was a woman traveling alone, so pretty cautious). All in all, I love this place! I plan to come back and visit again. I have people I want to bring with me next time and I can tell it'll be a vibe in the summer! I love supporting a smaller space and really appreciated their kindness!

Yelp
We loved our stay at the ruby hotel. My husband and I live locally, but needed a night away from the kids. The ruby did not disappoint. We loved the grounds. The bar / restaurant was great. My salad was nice. The Charcuterie plate was good. We had wine, sat the bar and laughed the night away, listening to live music and people watching. The room was very clean, the shower was huge.
