Restaurants with Amazing Outdoor Spaces in the MICHELIN Guide UK & Ireland

"An informal beachside restaurant set in an old smugglers cottage: the rustic room is decorated with striking Cornish art and opens onto a terrace which has superb St Martin views. Colourful Mediterranean dishes have big, bold flavours; seafood and pizzas from the wood-burning oven are a hit." - The MICHELIN Guide UK Editorial Team

Such a lovely, lovely place. Staff are so polite and friendly. Food is delicious. Small seasonal menu and a specials board. Beautiful view from the bay windows, even better if you are lucky enough to have the warm weather and sit outside. Cosy atmosphere. Booking definitely recommended in advance if you can although they do accept walk ins

I was really impressed by the food here: I had crab linguine (with a lovely kick of red chilli) and the chorizo and chickpeas in red wine, and both were really delicious. The rest of the family had pizzas which they all really enjoyed. I also appreciated that they had a non-alcoholic beer on tap (1664). I'd love to come back another time and explore more of the menu!

Just wanted to say how amazing the staff were to me and my son. It was our first time to visit we just felt so welcomed by friendly smiling faces and just so helpful. The food was out of this world, you have to try the pizzas so delicious. My son wanted an extra take away pizza for dinner which he sadly dropped on our way out and we came back to see if we could order another one. Even though the kitchen was closing the staff & the chef just offered to make another pizza for my son and they even gave us a few extra treats to take home. This is more than an amazing place it’s a place to go and just be treated with love and kindness and the best service ever. You cheered up a little boy with your smiles and kindness. Thank you wonderful team at Ruin Beach you made our day yesterday. No doubt we will be back again!

Staff were extremely friendly, wish we had eaten here rather than in the abbey gardens cafe.

Lovely vegan pizzas, much deserved after a long walk. Large wine selection and good local Cornish beers! Didn't have dessert but they looked great :) service was friendly and the views are predictably wonderful! My one note would be, perhaps chilli oil for the pizza? Tad pricey but hey ho :)

Absolutely fantastic, great for lunch or evening meals. The location is superb, being right next to the beach, providing a fab view of Old Grimsby & the bay. I had the Scallops as a starter followed by a woodfired pizza 👌 The staff were super friendly. The atmosphere is casual & chilled, basically a place where you can relax.
