The Ruma Hotel and Residences

We recently had the pleasure of staying at The RuMa Hotel and Residences in Kuala Lumpur, and it was truly an amazing experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality of the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed. The service was consistently professional, attentive, and caring, creating a sense of comfort and luxury throughout our stay. The hotel’s design and atmosphere perfectly blend elegance with a homely touch, making it more than just a place to stay, it felt like a retreat in the heart of the city. Our rooms were spacious, beautifully maintained, and equipped with every detail for convenience and relaxation. The facilities were outstanding, especially the dining options, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Every corner of the hotel reflects thoughtful details and dedication to guest satisfaction. We sincerely appreciate the effort and passion of the entire team at The RuMa for making our stay so memorable. We will definitely return and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur.

This was my 2nd stay with The Ruma. Hotel interior is very classic and simple. Room very spacious. Check-in & Check out very easy. The location is great, 5mins walking to pavillion. Breakfast was amazing, plenty of choices and tasty. The pool has a great view. The staffs are so friendly, specially the doorman/concierge guy always greet You with smile everytime You come back/leaving the hotel. Will always choose The Ruma when in KL..

Possibly the best buffet in KL right now. I would give 6 stars if I could. Variety is good, not huge, but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. My faves were the Beef Wellington - buttery flaky crust wrapping succulent tender and perfectly medium rare beef - and the chocolates. Who would think they would be able to innovate on chocolates! The Curry Delight choc was eye-opening - rich dark chocolate with a hint of curry, perfectly balanced. Everyone in our group loved it! Best of all is the service - Amal the manager was super attentive to all our needs. Thank you Amal and ATAS restaurant! All other KL hotels need to sit up and take notice - this is how a proper buffet is done!

I stayed at The Ruma for 4 nights and really enjoyed the room’s vibe – especially the beautiful sunsets. ☺️ I also had some fun with the minibar and ended up collecting all the drinks. 😁 One small thing that could be improved is the bed height. The bed felt quite low, so I wasn’t very comfortable and ended up sleeping on the daybed each night. 😩😭 Other than that, I had no issues with the room. A big thanks to the housekeeping team for keeping my room tidy, spotless, and smelling fresh every day. As a coffee lover, I really appreciated the Nespresso machine. I’d love to recommend adding some complimentary homemade biscuits – it would be wonderful to enjoy coffee or tea with a signature biscuit late at night. Overall, a pleasant stay – thank you!

We had my husband’s 50th bday celebration at the ballroom on the 6th floor on 4th Oct 2025. Kudos to En. Nasri, and his team, Shamir, Ericca & Nazmul for excellent service and such wonderful service and hospitality from pre-event to post-event. The F&B banquet crew was super friendly, attentive to guest needs and catered to all our requests. Food was also amazing. Thanks to Kelly for all the organizing of this event from the beginning. We also stayed the night and the rooms were really classy and nice. Highly recommend to have your event here.

We had 3 nights in this fabulous hotel! We loved everything...the location, the rooms, the amenities, the breakfast! A special mention goes to Rapu, El, Intan & team at the breakfast! Wonderful and highly skilled people every top Hotel could wish for! They made us feel like home! Thanks Rapu!!! Can't wait to come back!

One of the best hotels in KL, everything about this hotel was excellent from start to finish. The staff are lovely and friendly but with a professionalism which is expected at a higher caliber hotel. The rooms are luxurious and clean with nice decor touches. The buffet breakfast in my opinion is one of the best selections I have seen in Asia. Location is close to the KLCC and travelling around is convenient. Definitely my go to hotel in KL.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had the most wonderful stay at The RuMa Hotel and Residences from 6–9 Sept for my son’s 21st birthday. About a week before check-in, I emailed the hotel to request a complimentary slice of cake. To my surprise, they replied the same day and told me they would prepare a minimalist decoration,a slice of birthday cake with a card instead. I was truly impressed by this thoughtful gesture. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was outstanding. Every staff member greeted us warmly, and at check-in we didn’t even have to stand at the counter. Instead, Hana (their staff) invited us to sit comfortably on the sofa and personally assisted us with the whole process. She even served us refreshing asam boi drinks, knowing we had driven all the way from Singapore. I was especially touched when she whispered to me that the room would be ready in 10 minutes for my son’s birthday — such a sweet and caring detail. The staff also went the extra mile by suggesting to change the sofa bed into a day bed for us since we had four guests, and they proactively offered extra bedsheets, pillows, and blankets. Their room service was excellent — the room was spotless every day, with no stains or missed details. Breakfast was delicious, and checkout was smooth and efficient. This is truly a 5-star hotel with service that exceeds expectations. I’m extremely impressed and grateful for the wonderful experience. Without a doubt, I will return to The RuMa whenever I travel to KL. Highly recommended!
