If you love country dancing you will love this place. You will find enthusiastic folks dancing to live country music. During the break some more experienced country dance veterans will eagerly teach you country dance moves. If you are new or don't feel like being on the main dance floor, you can dance in the back on a more cozy dance floor. I had to pay a $3 entry fee and had to order a drink to please the waitress. But that's dead cheap considering how much fun this place is.

Google
Friday night is hopping. Get there when they open so you can take the free line dancing class. For a beginner these classes are too difficult. But who cares as long as you have fun. Just make sure you are looking in the same direction as everyone else and you will be fine.

Nice place to drink and dance. Best day to go would be Thursday when u get discount in cover charge.

A fun, diverse crowd. The club plays more than merely Country music. 4 bars, food is good. Staff is fun.

Google
The place was full on a Saturday night. They have live music and a big dance floor. There are three bars and some separate ice buckets where you can purchase beer. This place attracts people of all ages, plenty of seating. There is an outdoor patio. I never had to wait long for a drink.

Very fun. We are from Reno and had a great time. People were friendly. Drinks were cheap dance floors were huge. Like all county clubs turned into a regular dance club arround 11

Google
This place was great and the staff was great. A little pricey with there drinks, but the main thing is after 10pm you can't dance around the floor because all the people dancing in one spot. If your there to dance country, keep the floor moving and don't allow the people to stand in one place with drinks on the floor, that messes up good dance boots when people spill drinks on the floor. Bouncers need to keep that from happening, it's a country western bar, not a rave!

We tried to go here for a birthday party on Saturday night. 30 of us came out from SF. We had all had maybe 1-3 beers before, so no one was drunk. The door staff was rude from the second we got there. We had arranged a 10 dollar cover for the group prior to arrival, but we had to get there by 9. We were there at 9:07 and they were completely unreasonable and wanted us to pay $20.00 a person. Really, the kicker was that after about 7 minutes of chatting they declared we couldn't go in at all. Two girls from our group had left their IDs with the bouncer, gone to use the ladies, and a manager on the inside was upset they hadn't paid (although they had permission to go in) The guys on the outside said they had a right to refuse anyone and they were refusing us. There were no loud words, no fighting, no drunkedness. Just some dudes in Fremont acting like jerks because they could. Perhaps they don't like city yuppies in their bar? Ultimately, I am a bay area local, and I have been excited to visit this place. I would never recommend anyone planning their party here. Skip the bull. It is not worth it. They really ruined our night. And we are a really fun loving respectful group. (They mentioned being worried we would leave the place to go drink on the bus- um, we only had booze on the bus to get to the bar and we all have JOBS and are in our late twenties.... we can afford a drink inside thank you)

Yelp
I am not really that into country but this was such a fun bar to go to! They did this mini class on the dance floor where they teach you how to partner dance (spin omg your partner, dipping your partner, etc). The instructors were super nice and walked around to help people. The best two things about the bar. The barber chair and BULL RIDING!! It was my first time on the barber chair and it was such a fun experience. They basically pour the alcohol directly in your mouth but you can choose to get a mixed drink and it actually tastes really good! If you know someone who doesn't know what it it, just bring them I tell them to sit in the chair. They will be in for a surprise!! I am so glad this place has bull riding. I believe it's around $5 to ride the bull. So worth!

Yelp
This place is not temporarily closed but permanently closed since 2020. They may reopen soon however in a different way or venue.

Still miss this place. I truly wish Saddle rack would reopen. So sad it had to. Lose. This was a place with so many unforgettable memories.

Yelp
This was one for the books. I'm not really a country girl but last night I felt like one. It was my first time going to Saddle Rack. And we are planning to return! We decided to come here for one of my best friends 30th birthday. With all the violence going on I love that they have a metal detector prior to entering. Unfortunately, they don't allow in and outs. Once you leave you'll have to pay for cover if you wanna go back in. Because I am breastfeeding my friend had talk to the manager(I believe he is the manager, unsure.) and he allowed me to leave once so I was able to pump in the car. (Thank you) The experience was pretty epic. I was excited for the barber chair and the mechanical bull. The barber chair was not overly priced at all. The lady working at the barber chair was very nice! She wasn't pushy or rude. The price was reasonable for the amount of alcohol being poured in your mouth. There was a list of different alcohols that you can choose from. Which I really like. The mechanical bull was $4/person. Which is amazing. The man who was working the bull was very nice as well. There is a consent form that is needed prior to riding the bull which is understandable. Everyone had a great time! You are able to ride the bull with two people BUT it has to be two females only. I was a little sad when I couldn't get on the bull with my BFF who is a male. Which I understand. Rules are rules. Aside from the alcohol and the two activities. I was so happy and surprised to find that they have a little restaurant inside. Best place to drink and have some food if you need it. We got the super nachos and the tater tots. The super nachos were really good. Very cheesy with jalapeños, salsa, olives, guacamole and some meat as well! But let me tell you that those tater tots were delicious! I have no idea what sauce they used but it's definitely worth the try and when I go back I will be getting the tots for sure! The ladies working at the restaurant was very nice! They even recommended one of the drinks at the bar called "the blinker" which I will def try next time! To sum it up we'll be back! It was a fun experience!

Yelp
Please reopen saddle rack.... I loved this place so much, so many good memories. If it reopened I would bring my friends to come and celebrate and we'd be so happy. It was so huge on the inside, such a getaway from the hustle and bustle of the Bay Area. If anyone has any info on it reopening, please let me know.

Yelp
This place was bummin'! I never knew this place was even here! It's a down to earth kind of place. They honored the Vets since it was Veterans weekend which was nice! Plenty of parking outside and security here. They will metal scan you before going in so no guns or knives please! We came here from a friends suggestion to have good ol' country fun! Some of my friends even wore cowboy boots and hats, and plaid shirts to match the theme. I did't get that memo early! Haha The cover charge is $20 if you go after 9pm. We just missed the cut off due to the line outside. Prices of beer and apps were actually decent. We only drank thou. Staff was pretty cool as well. They do have an electric rodeo for $4 for a min? Great for big groups, too. I would definitely come back with a group. On my own, I'm just not into country music. Loved the vibe thou. I was actually hoping to see a brawl! Haha Good peeps and for good fun, this was the place to be! Yeehaw! [140/100]

Yelp
The Saddle Rack is a place I've been wanting to come to in a very long time. My friends and I finally made it! I love my friends for always being down to go on crazy adventures with me! With cowboy shoes and booty shorts on, I was ready to go line dancing! As soon as I walked in, the line dance lessons had already started. I would suggest to come a little bit earlier just so that you don't miss anything. There's a lot of dances to learn and it is all so much fun! There were a few professional dancers aside from the instructor scattered all over the dance floor which made it a lot easier to follow along. Throughout the night, they would play the music we learned the dances to so that we can all join in on the dance floor. It being our first times, it was much harder to join in on the dances we didn't know the routine to. My friends and I loved it so much that we want to make this a frequent visit! We also ordered yummy food at the restaurant part of the venue. It was the typical bar food snacks but I absolutely love that kind of stuff! It was a heart attack dinner. We ordered: Cowboy Tots with Chili Cheese and Jalapeños, Rack Tots with Bacon, Cheddar and BBQ Sauce, and Veggie Tacos. They were all really good but very filling. We danced all night, rode the mechanical bull, drank, met some really amazing people and had a blast. We'll be back in a couple of weeks to indulge in some country songs and boot kicking fun!

Yelp
Since my friend is moving out of the country, she asked me to help her with her bucketlist. I was never interested in line dancing but finally I gave in to amuse my bestie and so glad I did! Everyone is so nice there. We went on a Thursday night. Make sure you bring your ID and $3 for cover charge. Lessons start at 7:30pm so get there early and get your liquid courage if you need it. Otherwise, just get there and jump on the dance floor!! Nanci (the instructor) was great. She taught us the Cowboy Cool and Bad Attitude. As a first timer, I was a little lost but who cares. There was a lot of other beginners so it was totally ok! I had so much fun I revisited the following week and made friends with some of the regulars. Hopefully in time, I'll know a few dances by heart. Btw, sign up for the Aug 4th, 2018 Flash Mob dance on their website. They will be doing review lessons on 8/2 and you can also learn by following the video on their website.

Yelp
The unspoken dress code here is plaid and cowboy boots, lol - I'm kidding, but not kidding. While I'm not so much a country music/scene kinda person - I surprisingly had a fun time when I met up with some friends her for a birthday party. While it looks like some random industrial building from the outside, once you step inside you immediately feel like you stepped into somewhere in the South, where they have a mechanical bull, barber shop chairs, multiple bars lining that walls and a huge dance floor in the center where everyone and anyone is straight line dancing - having a good ol' time! As said previously, not particularly my scene, but if you're into this kinda stuff, you have to come and check it out! This would be a fun spot for GNO since they really cater to groups of girls and offer really cool drink specials. The bartenders, for the most part are friendly and they provide a nice, hefty pour. If you plan on visiting this place, I would recommend that you Uber/Lyft. I recall seeing a lot of cops and popo's patrolling the area very heavily when we left slightly after midnight... have fun and stay safe!

Yelp
I'm not much of a country girl but this was a great first experience for me! I came here for a friend's birthday, and upon arriving I noticed the hugeee establishment with two dance floors for line dancing and a live band. they have a mechanical bull as well a Saloon chair that leans back and the bartender pours alcohol in your mouth For the special occasion we reserved a table for bottle service, cause we fancy. The server was a sweet lady and came by often to clear and restock refreshments and glassware. i felt like everyone but me knew how to line dance but apparently they have classes on the weekdays =P
google avatar

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night before 9pm and the cover was $10 (price will raise after 9pm). They have live singers in the beginning of the night then switches to a DJ that plays the current top 40 songs. Like that they have a lot of toilet stalls in the women's restrooms = no long lines when it gets crowded. There's a fun area called the "Barber Shop" where you can get a "blow job shot" by sitting horizontally on a barber chair. The "blow job shot" could be some alcohol like Bailey then top with whip cream ($8.50)

Yelp
MUSIC live music on Friday and Saturday nights which is super cool. Country inspired but most popular covers like Hotel California and I Will Survive. INSIDE huge! Two dance floor areas. Bucking mechanical bull last I went was $4 per ride after signing a waiver. Recliner shot in the mouth chair. Food options but fast hog dog hamburger type food. Bathrooms are barn style. OVERALL huge parking lot so easy parking. $20 entrance fee last I was here which is steep, but definitely come here at least once and you'll make it fun whether I went with two other friends or a group of friends I always had fun. People dressed casual here and ok to wear cowboy boots. You'll see some genuine cowboy Hispanics here with the big belt buckles. Or people super casual just coming or after a Giant's game.

Yelp
Saddle Rack is an interesting western/country themed club/bar venue in Fremont. It felt like it was located in the middle of nowhere, but they do have a giant private parking lot in case you have a DD for the night. You do go through a metal scanner before entering. Tip is not to arrive too early or the club is pretty dead. We came for the NYE event which was $35/person advance, $45 at the door. This included entrance, party favors, one ticket for the photo booth, and a cup of champagne for the midnight toast. Party favors was some paper hats, glowsticks, bead necklaces, etc, nothing amazing. There was some line dancing (they have 2 dance floors), but also people just dancing normally. The band was on stage for about an hour when we arrived around 10pm, then again about half an hour leading up to and after midnight. Overall the band/music was okay. There was also a bull you could ride for $4 and a "barber" station where apparently they mix a margarita in your mouth!? Beyond that, regular bar with snacks and drinks for purchase. All in all, it was an interesting experience, but I'm not sure I would come back. It's a bit far for me and there isn't much else around. Unless you're coming to line dance (or to learn how to), there isn't much else. It is a very big space though, so I imagine they can accommodate large parties better than other places.

Yelp
When you're drunk and with good company, this place is the best place to be at! I've been here on two occasions. One was after graduating our nursing program two years ago. The most recent time was to celebrate a good friend's birthday. The first time, I was super wasted, along with everyone else in our party so of course, it was a good time. I don't remember much about the music and the nitty gritty details from that night. Just that we all had a damn good time. The most recent time, I was nearly as drunk as the first time, but nonetheless still enjoyed myself. This time, I was able to scope out the place and actually remember it. There's a Barber chair where someone just pours liquor down your throat. Another attraction at saddle rack is the mechanical bull. It's always a good time watching your friends be severely inebriated while riding the bull. There's 4 bars and one dance floor. At the beginning of the night, they have a live band for entertainment. The gal that sang last night was nothing amazing, voice was mediocre, and she was rude lol. The DJ that took over afterwards sucked. Played the worst music. Tried to mix in hip hop then went back to sucky music. There's a $10-15 cover, depending on what time you arrive. It's $3 on Thursdays. I'd only come back here with good company. It's not my scene and it wouldn't be my first choice to go if someone said they wanted to go drink and dance lol.

Yelp
I went here for a fundraiser and was skeptical at first. I listen to minimal country music but could not be considered a huge fan. The saddle rack is quite large with country decor and a mechanical bull in the back. The bull was closed when we were there but I can only imagine a crazy night here when it's going. Live music is always a plus no matter what genre it is. I appreciated the live bands, singing, and dancing. Servers made their rounds to get you drinks and they did a great job in keeping up. I felt really terrible for the kitchen staff. Two ladies in the kitchen, a guy at the register...with a huge line. Our food took an hour to get to us...no joke. We missed an entire set from one of the groups. They definitely needed additional staff to keep up with the masses. Otherwise, it was fun for what it was although not my cup of tea.

Yelp
Read full review for recommendation: Boot knocking fun. The best... the only country bar in town. Full bar, Line dancing, bull riding, and lots of boots! Edit: I had to lower this into to 4 stars from 5 stars. Some nights are so disappointing that it's occasionally lower at 2 stars. The reason for this is due to Toree McGee. She and whiskey business group play frequently, and probably shouldn't.... The nights they play are the least fun. They don't make it feel like a country bar since they are trying to appease the pop club crowd. If you're coming for the country experience, I recommend looking online and avoiding the nights they're here. They perform solid music, but not for the Saddle Rack.

Yelp
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSROm-vgVRk SING IT! "Work, work all week long Punchin' that clock from dusk till dawn. Countin' the days till Friday night That's when all the conditions are right. For a good time...." That's right. You deserve to have a good time! seriously, it's Saturday night and if you're bored with your usual Saturday night spots, head over to the Saddle Rack for some F-U-N with a capital F! Here's my recipe for good times: - a mechanical bull. Do the world a favor: ride a bull, save a cowboy. - shots at the dentist's chair. For $7, you get to have "shots" poured into your mouth straight from the bottle while lying down on a dentist's chair. TIP: OPEN WIDE AND KEEP SWALLOWING! oh shoot. This sounds dirrrty! - a dancing cage. Hello! - Diablo Road -- they rocked the house. I was dancing my arse off all night in my cowgirl boots. Guess what?!? I got even more excited when they slipped in a little Tik-Tok from Kesha! DON'T hate. Just don't. - Drinks are CHEAP and STRONG. Need a gin/tonic or a margie bad? it's only $6.50! - Line dancing -- people are seriously talented here. Get ready to be upstaged. So take my recipe, add a couple of rowdy friends and get ready for some good times!

Yelp
I've been wanting to come here for forever. I seriously had the best time! TIP#1: To all the non lightweight individuals, I recommend you pregame beforehand, or else you'll be spending some $$$. But don't drink too much cause you want some memories to hold onto! Cover is $15 per person. I got inside around 10:30pm on a Friday night. The place was huge and already starting to fill up. My friend got me a drink, and that's where the fun all started. There are different stations of things you can do. You can watch the ladies on the bar tops singing and dancing. You can attempt to dance to country music. I was stumbling all over the place... lol. For $4, you can sit in the dentist chair to swig some alcohol. For another $4, you can ride the mechanical bull! TIP#2: Ride the mechanical bull earlier in the night, or else you won't stay on for very long.... hahaha! Also lean back, not forward. TIP#3: Apparently if you dress up and wear flannel, it's very obvious that it is your first time, but you should do it anyway to get into the spirit. I really enjoyed this place, because it's such a different scene, as opposed to the usual bar or club scene. It's like a different world. It was nothing but good vibes that night... I loved it! Have fun and be safe! :)

Yelp
I'm not usually a Country Music Fan. But my Favorite Uncle and Aunt invited me to join them to celebrate New Years Eve at the Saddle Racks annual New Years Eve party. I was touched when they asked me as my Aunt is currently fighting Cancer with Chemotherapy. I am truly amazed at her Courage and Love of life she is truly going down a rough road as is my Uncle. I find it very inspirational. Personally their my Heroes and after 50 years together a true love story. So of course I rolled with them in their Whip so I could get my Drink on.. We got there around 7:30 so they could get their usual table. I had to pay a $45 entry fee since it was the day of the event. When I entered the Saddle Rack I was in Cowboy Disneyland. By the front door there was 3 tables of New Years eve Party Favors and Noise Makers. Also there were a lot of Ladies milling about and getting there drink on. I liked the Mechanical Bull . It was very popular with the ladies. Most the time some Cute girl would be riding it. Also the Live Band was throwing down. They were jamming away.. From Leonard Skinner to Elvis They had 4 bars open for easy Booze Access. They also had a Barber Chair Shot area. It was a great way to Welcome 2013 in.

Yelp
If was fun the first time. The next time I came in the cover was $20, my friends paid with their card and the transaction went through. When we came, we were informed that they were only taking cash and the "system is down" after the fact that we had already paid. The staff directed me to their ATM when I tried to purchase a drink at the bar. When I looked over the counter to purchase a drink, I saw that the POS system was working perfectly fine. When I confronted the bartender what I had witnessed he said "this is what they tell us to say". That's when I realized that they directed us to the ATM so that they only have cash transactions in order to file their taxes at the end of the year. That's when I told myself to get out of the bar because saddle rack had been playing us the whole time. Never again.

Yelp
So I ended up here after a friend's wedding on a Saturday night. Someone really want to ride the mechanical bull. On a Saturday night, although this places was packed, there's plenty of room. This place is huge.... much bigger than I expected. Feel free to come in cowboy hats and cowboy boots. Actually, the majority were dressed to the theme. There's a dance floor up front and plenty of seating all around. The mechanical bull is all the way in the back on the right. Upon arriving, I found out that cover was $20. That's way too steep in my opinion. And the lady who was doing payments was so mean. She was acting all pissy and moody. She tossed my credit card back at me and yelled at me to sign the receipt like I was an idiot. So rude. Now, if you are looking for a fun country/western themed night, you should definitely check it out. The crowd was really mixed and diverse. It is a little more fun if you dress up though. If you want to ride the mechanical bull, it's 4 bucks. Don't be shy about trying it. There were plenty of people who tried it for the first time, and everyone cheers for you. Towards the end of the night, they had a live band singing cover songs. As I mentioned earlier, the crowd is very mixed. That being said, you also see those groups of people who get drunk and like to start fights. Within 20 minutes, two different fights broke out right next to me. One guy almost got knocked out. The security staff was pretty quick to respond for the first one. The second one was a little scary cuz there were bottles being thrown. You also see some of those trashy groups, showing a little too much and drinking more than they can handle and then you just have your normal folks, having a good time. I think if I was in the mood to do a country night, I would come back and give it another shot, but I would be a little reluctant.

Yelp
If looking for a drink & music in the Fremont area that's open past 9:30pm, then The Saddle Rack it is. Yep, on Wednesday & Thursday nights they are open until midnight. We were exploring the Fremont area and although we aren't country music fans, we have been to a few country bars over the years. Located on a dark back road, we wondered if our directions were right. Found it and they had plenty of parking. There's a cover charge, but the beer is reasonable. On my first visit, we found the place filled with mainly couples. There was a live country band and couples were two stepping on the dance floor. We came back for another visit with a group of colleagues. Same deal, except a couple members of our party had to ride the mechanical bull. Of course. Its a large venue, so you can find plenty of room for a seat together and chit chat (unlike most bars which are too crowded and too loud). A different atmosphere, but everyone had a good time.

Yelp
I came here for the first time for a birthday outing. I've heard great things about Saddle Rack, so I could barely contain my excitement! It's located in Fremont, which can be a far drive and expensive Uber depending on where you're coming from. It's a bit isolated and it's not located near other bars, so expect to spend the evening here upon entering. The cover fee is $10 before 9pm and $20 after 9pm. Yes, it's a pricey cover, and I barely made it by 8:58pm. The attire is casual, and not everyone dresses country so don't stress about wearing boots, plaid, and a hat. Your regular going out clothes will suffice. Inside, expect to see large restrooms to your left, 3-4 bars (I believe), a restaurant also on your left, a shot chair (topped with whipped cream and a cherry), mechanical bull, cage, dance floor and a live band. Also expect to see people of all ages inside; this place attracts everyone. The drink prices are standard and the bull rides are $4 each. Unfortunately I can't remember the shot chair prices, but just expect to spend spend spend if you're trying to get the whole Saddle Rack experience. It definitely adds up! Most importantly - come here with an open mind. I am not into country music, but I also don't hate it. Majority of the music played consisted of country songs, and there were a couple of people line dancing in the corner of the dance floor at all times. Occasionally the band played renditions of pop songs, but a lot of it is country. Grab your friends, get on the dance floor, and dance/sing along to the best of your ability (maybe after some liquid courage). If you're used to downtown San Jose like I am, coming here may come as as a shock to you because it's a completely different environment. Still, Saddle Rack offers a fun atmosphere if you come with the right people and the right mindset. It's worth the experience!

Yelp
Came here for a couple of the MMA series fights. Good sized parking lot. The first time, the event was a hot mess. Took way way too long for each fight to come out. The second time the event was done right. I was impressed they were able to get themselves together after that first event. I look forward to the next event.

Yelp
Fun country club with live band! $3 cover , $3 beers, $3 wells on TH!! The DJ Tony Loco is very sweet at taking music requests and plays the song! You can learn to line dance if you get there early! The bartender was alittle lame with the Coke backs-chasers but whatever. Overall fun time for my Texas country Self!

Yelp
Wow, I'm Not Country, attended a 21st Birthday Party on a Thursday evening. But WOW, Live Band was Amazing, The Prices for the drinks were so reasonable, loved watching the line dancing & just makes me want to learn. The cover charge was $3 & came on a game night, never knew it was so NICE to play the gigantic Connect Four So tipsy. So Cool that you can Text your number so you can see your picture on the Screen on the Monitor Overall, would come again to hang out & just enjoy the nice atmosphere.

Yelp
This place is great! I'm not a big country music fan so this for sure is a once in a blue moon location that i don't mind visiting with my friends to line dance, ride the mechanical bull, have great drinks and even sit in the dentist chair to get shots poured into your mouth. It is a big location, nice and spacey, but depending on the night it gets packed! Love that its in a semi secluded area. Minus one star for the security, they are a bit rude.

Yelp
Horrible treatment by John when we came for New Years Eve. My girlfriend and I came with my aunt to have a few drinks and enjoy New Year's Eve. When we came to the front, the doorman wearing a Chicago Bulls cap was aggressively rude and accused my 38 year old aunt of having a "fake ID." After no success reasoning with him, we politely requested to have our $35.00 per person refunded, which he became instantly furious yelling in my face that he, "doesn't have to refund us anything" and proceeded to aggressively disrespect our party - who was all completely sober. All I would have appreciated was giving our money back for the overpriced 35.00/ea we paid for since they weren't going to allow us in. I'll make sure to share with EVERYONE I know how we were treated and robbed by The Saddle Rack. By the way, it wasn't a total loss - because the band on stage was a joke, a terrible pathetic joke. Tread carefully with these crooks.

Yelp
What a fantastic place to come and line dance! Everyone is casual and there's so much fun going on. I love how there was a live performance and it doesn't matter if you can dance or not because everyone is so friendly they'll just show you how. The bars a bit of a miss for me. Not much choices and everything seems water downed. The bull riding always attracts so much attention! It was great to see individuals try to rid it and the audience cheering the rider on. No negativity seen here. There's no WiFi, but there is a huge dance floor and a smaller dance floor behind the bigger one for everyone to join in on the fun. The bathrooms here are not so clean though. Other than that I would recommend this place if you would like to experience a human touch to the "going out on a Saturday night".

Yelp
Go ahead dust off your red cowboy boots - this is the one place you can pull them off. So maybe your not a big country person but your still interested in this place. Thursday night is the evening for you - discounted entrance, alcohol and free dance lessons at the beginning of the night. No big commitments and you can save the weekend for places you know you like. As you enter you see that its a massive space with high ceilings. Well decorated with country theme a deer head or moose head hangs way up high to greet you. A dance floor is the center of attention and tiny cocktail tables and chairs surround. Those tiny tables reminded me of the ones at a comedy club. At comedy clubs typically I have to get really wasted to have fun - not here - great for watching the talented regulars mixed in with people learning. Even more fun to get up and join. Line dances mixed in to the music every now and then. Look at your red cowboy boots go!! This is a place to learn a step or two or ten. There are a couple familiar 4 beat songs that you've heard tons of times before and can at least join in for those. If your shy - head to the bar. Bar seemed a little short staffed but I was served quickly. Good eye contact, my handsome good looks and having cash in my hand seemed to help the two ladies jump right to me. Well drinks and beers are so cheap - go ahead buy a round. Its easy to get to this place - just a half mile from the Automall exit. Its sort of in a remote area that seems to add to the whole western theme.

Yelp
Lookin for some good ol' line dancing? Always wanted to ride a mechanical bull? Well then, get your cowboy boots on (hat optional) and git on over to The Saddle Rack! Have no idea how to line dance? Come on a weekday night like Thursday and they'll teach you the ropes. Everyone is really nice and the regulars, who are excellent dancers, will be kind enough to show you and maybe push you out of your comfort zone a little to try some new moves. Too lazy to dance? Grab a seat and watch the pros on the floor. It's pretty entertaining. Saturday nights - expect a crowd, cover $10 before 9 pm, $20 after 9 pm. Thankfully, the place is so large that even when it's pretty full, you can still easily maneuver your way around. Come knowing how to line dance because there won't be any slow line dancers or people available to teach you. You'll have to jump in and learn on the fly. People are encouraging though, and will tell you to stand in the middle so you can observe everyone around you and pick it up faster. Overall, a solid place to go to if you're looking for a different bar experience or wanna get your country music on.

Yelp
Went here on a Saturday night w my husband. The cover was $20 after 9 pm which I think is pretty steep for a Fremont bar LOL but we paid it anyways. I've also never seen so many people wearing plaid!!!! The place is massive so you can definitely walk around. They have a few bars, coat check, two dance floors, and a mechanical bull which is 4 bucks. They also have a chair where they pour shots down your throat, lovely. I only drank beer so I can't comment on the cocktails. They also have a small sit down area in the back called Moms kitchen where you can get food as well. It's not the classiest joint around but it's great to have a few beers, dance a little, and PEOPLE WATCH! The people watching was great. On a side note I lost my wallet on the dance floor and a waitress had turned it in to the coat check woman. I was incredibly grateful and happy there are decent people working there. We will probably come back on a night where we can learn some line dancing but not on the weekend. I would recommend this spot for a girls or guys night out or just a couple wanting to dance and have a few drinks. Not a good spot for a date bc it's super loud unless you don't want to talk ;)

Yelp
Had a blast! A cowboy time. Cover charge starts at 9pm, its around $15 per person (pretty expensive!) on weekend. $4 bull riding, and $7 barber style shots. Fun times! If you go early or before 11pm, then they'll be doing some line dancing stuff. The later it is, the more hip hop and dance music will be played.

Yelp
Went to Saddle Rack with some girlfriends to learn some line dancing. I don't really listen to country music but hey I was down to give it a try. The line dancing classes started at 7:30 which was nice because happy hour was still on at that time! We all enjoyed the classes as the instructors made it very interactive. This place is pretty big and can get busy after 9:30. I do love that they have three bar areas so there isn't a crowd at one place. They also have a shot game as well as the bull ride. Each is like $4 which is not bad at all! They have a cage that people can go to dance as well. For food you have to order at Mom's Kitchen which was normal bar food but you can get a free app if you check in. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and for sure will be back in the future to get better at my line dancing!

Yelp
Stopped here last Saturday for an old buddies 40th birthday. It was pretty cool, live country music group there, I thought that was best part. Tons of space, they have a dance cage, mechanical bull, & multiple bars. The mechanical bull they must make a fortune on when people get keyed and want to ride that thing. Speaking of making a fortune, these guys weasel you for a $20 cover charge to get in. It's Fremont, not 1 Oak in Vegas. Talk about a rip. Overall I'd for sure go back, awesome live music, great atmosphere, and service seemed ok. If Fremont PD wants to make any easy money they outta park about 5 cars outside on that street from 11-2, people were getting faded at this place. Lol.

Yelp
Great place to have a good time. There are lots of seating areas, with two dance floors, the bull, the dentist chair and a place where you can order blinking drinks. At mama's kitchen, I ordered the tri-tip tacos with a side of mozzarella sticks(redeemed my check-in reward!). The tri-tip, paired with sour cream and their fresh salsa, is absolutely delicious! I highly recommend if you're hungry to get those. Mozzarella sticks were good as well, warm and fresh too. I really love that, as much as you can stink at line dancing or riding the bull, the people there will cheer you on or help you out with the moves. Very nice place, and I'm definitely coming back to get those moves down on the dance floor.

Yelp
22SEP2018 First Responders Night - Firefighters, police officers, and our veterans have free admission. Everyone else pays $10 cover but all for a good cause. Overall, great crowd, music, vibe, and energy. Venue was clean. Bathrooms were very clean and pretty (surprising!). Sound system was great. The stage can be seen from anywhere. There are two dance floors and lots of people with amazing line dancing skills. The bull riding station is $4. There is always a line but it moves fast. I saw the saloon chair but didn't try it. Service was amazing. We had bottle service and they accommodated us cheerfully. I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
I was in town and visited with some buddies who live in the Bay and had a good time overall. I'd probably visit again, why not? It was a good time! --Atmosphere, Service, Location & Parking--- Located in what seems to be a industrial area of sorts tucked away with a big parking lot you'll find The Saddle Rack. I came here with two buddies to celebrate, and we had a good time overall. Definitely a cool country bar venue with country music(who would have thought?). This place is huge! Lots of space to dance (there's even a cage), there was a live band on stage (it was a Friday night), they had multiple bars, and a room tucked away with pool tables and I think some darts. There is a cover charge and I think on a Friday night it was $15. Eh...really? Dislike, but I'm sure that's the same for Saturdays, but I would think during the week it's probably lower. Definitely a packed house, but it wasn't too overwhelming where you couldn't move around at all. They have a mechanical bull, and that's always a hit with people whether you watch others or join along. I think the price was in the $5-10 range and a waiver must be signed to ride. I could see this place being a popular joint among the surrounding areas. Service was really quick, when we first came in it was just starting to get busy so the bar near the entrance wasn't busy. When we were on the other side of the joint there was a cocktail server/bartender (Megan) who would go around and you could order drinks with her without going to the bar. Nice! She was great to talk to as well and she was "hella" quick too, I was shocked. She would appear with drinks in a minute or so. ---Drinks & Price--- Prices are moderate, you can expect beers to be in the $7 range I think, with mixed drinks/shots/liquor in the $10+ range.

Yelp
I've heard great things about the saddle rack so my friends (group of 6) and I decided to go last night. The only positive thing about the place is that you can learn various line dances. (but definitely not with a drink in hand because they will YELL at you) Spills are going to happen.... it's a bar.... with a dance floor? What do you expect? The employees were completely rude AND racist - specifically the band. Customer service is BIG for me, but when you blatantly make racist comments over the mic, I AM NOT OK WITH THAT. It's 2018.

Yelp
Always a fun time here, I always find myself dancing the night away. Line dancing is in my blood. Laid back environment, tons of space to roam around or sit down, and affordable beers!!!! There's also a mechanical bull available.... I'm not a follower of country music, but I definitely enjoy it. Bathrooms are a plenty (and not entirely too gross, haha). Keep an open mind and check this place out!

Yelp
Decided to try out Saddle Rack again last night. And it was really fun this time! Apparently, it gets really poppin after 11 pm on a Friday night. Great live music. Talented band!! Lots of space to dance. So now I'm updating my review to 4 stars. Fun for the only nightclub in Fremont!!

Yelp
Fun and welcoming atmosphere, Live music Friday and Saturday. Cover charge is a little bit pricey but there no other bAr around here that Has consistently good live music. They have line and swing dancing lessons if you get there early which are great so Yoo-hoo can join right in with all the regulars

Yelp
Ok only reason for 3 stars was because of the entertainment, and the style of the venue. The knock on this place would be the service and the food quality they have, yeah I know it's a country bar but this food is stuff you'd be desperate to eat at 3:30am after a night out. The burger we ordered was raw, and the quesadilla we ordered took 25 minutes while other quesadillas went out to orders that came after ours. Frozen chicken strips and an awful tri tip sandwich with only two slices of mediocre tri tip. Save yourself and eat somewhere else before coming to this place.

Yelp
2 bars, a bull ring, line dancing, back to the 2 full bars, and more. What is not to like? Maybe the door charge, but whatever, its was $5. I dont rate it if i dont like it

Yelp
Want to update my review here. This place is still a solid choice for a fun night out.. I think I was a little bitter when the first band left because I preferred their music, but Diablo Road definitely gets the crows going and makes for a "kick up your boots" kind of night... and yes, people are wearing boots... real or fake, you'll see 'em. I suggest trying to get in before 9pm to save yourself the extensive cover charge of $20 (unless it's gone up since last time I visited..). It's also nice to snag a table early and have a place for the gals stuff.. unless you're like me and just keep your phone and cards in your boots (who wants a purse?). For the first-timers reading this... just prepare for a big night, and know that there are THREE bars inside.. so just head straight back and to the right near the bull. Lines are usually better over there, and bartenders are pretty awesome most times I've visited. The -1 star really comes from the outrageous cover charge (don't they know we are already paying an arm and a leg to travel here?!) yet I still somehow find myself making excuses to visit because I've never really left unhappy.. so there you go. Just come with an open mind, a decent amount of bucks in your account, and the willingness to country dance. (Ladies... find a good cowboy to spin you around.. you'll be smiling the whole time I guarantee it.)

Yelp
Went for my first time last night with a group of friends. Full disclosure, this is not our usual scene so we were a little bit apprehensive. We ended up having a blasts! There was a live band that played country and top 40 covers- they were ok. The real fun started when the DJ came on and everyone started line dancing. We did our best to learn and keep up with the regulars, but we probably looked like fools....didn't care, we had a blast! The people who knew the dances were friendly and offered to help us a couple times. Nice change of pace and happy to burn a few calories while at the bar!

Yelp
Ok the reviews I have read seem to have been written from people that have confused the bar with some place else or people really need to grow a pair. I went out to this bar last night for the first time and had a blast! I don't even like country music in any way, shape or form but I still had an awesome time! Yes it was loud, yes the drinks were a little price, the bar food was microwaved frozen snacks, the bouncer were hired muscle to deal with rowdy beer muscles and yes most of the people where there to get DRUNK! If you think a honkeietonk bar is going to be anything other than the above mentioned you might want to try one of the many hipster poetry reading tea shacks in down town San Jose!
