I had an amazing experience at this place for the second time. The salads were incredibly fresh, with a wide variety of toppings and dressings to choose from, making it easy to customize exactly what I wanted. Each ingredient was crisp, flavorful, and obviously high quality, from the vibrant greens to the perfectly ripe avocados. The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping customers make the best choices. They took the time to explain the menu and made great recommendations, which really made the experience enjoyable. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their creative combinations. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a healthy, delicious meal with top-notch service!

2025 update. No line today at lunchtime. My salad was a Chef's Salad, one scoop of chicken salad and tuna salad with turkey, ham & cheese $17. This tasted OK. I usually get the pesto salad but I didn't see it. The scope of chicken salad was surprisingly good. I was a bit hungry still after eating this. Luckily I got a crepe down the block as a back-up in case I was still hungry. Original review: The Salad Place makes good salads/sandwiches. They aren't as good as the other places in the city but this is Outer Mission. Healthy options are limited. For lunch I had their turkey sandwich on dutch crunch $12 + avocado $2.50 and a ceviche $9. Everything tasted fresh. On the sandwich, I would have preferred more avocado, other than iceberg lettuce and some sort of garlic or pesto sauce. This was good, but tasted plain. The ceviche was also good. I like how they use bigger shrimps. Service was excellent. Good job staff at The Salad Place.

Ordered a spinach salad with chicken breast here today and Mann it was delicious! Customer service was great, oh and this place is really clean too. Overall great place, I'm definitely coming back next time I visit San Francisco.

Hungry and on a extric low carb diet. Saw this place on my way to run errands and decided to try it. Ordered the house salad and not only was it so beautiful but the ingredients were soo fresh and delicious! I was served super quick too. I will be definetely coming back.

Small place but with a big vision & delivery of service with a smile while serving some generous plates of Yummy food. My Realtor friend suggested this place after seen a house I'm marketing, and wow describes the food, although the place is small. I ordered a panini bread, tuna fish sandwich. Some how we stumbled upon this amazing small business! The most delicious Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich! My mom got the Veggie lover. Unfortunately it was devoured before I got a picture of it! 😂 Fresh ingredients! Sandwiches are HUGE!!! A beautiful owner and staff that you can tell absolutely care about each of their customers! We will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful lunch!

Cute, low key corner shop. Very chill and the salads surprisingly delicious. Normal SF pricing ($15 per salad), though portion size is a bit smaller than expected. Got the house salad.

This place has no right to be as good as it is! The salad is very fresh with the ceviche having plentiful shrimp and flavor. The tortilla soup is the best I've had in a restaurant and the sandwiches are stellar. All this for 13$? I'll definitely be back for more.

I ordered delivery from The Salad Place. I got the Lox Bagel and Green Juice. The Lox Bagel was good, I just wished there were some more capers and lox on it. But the ingredients tasted fresh and bagel was soft and fluffy. The green juice was delicious, I would definitely order that again or a smoothie. Great neighborhood spot with fresh ingredients.

Fresh affordable and delicious sandwiches, salads and pasta with super friendly and nice workers. I loved everything! I had a ham and cheese sandwich (one of the best sandwiches I've had) with an orzo salad. I can't wait to come back and try more

I ordered a Garden Salad with Any 2 Scoops for pickup on UberEats. I brought the salad to work and refrigerated it. To my surprise, it was still fresh and delicious eight hours later. The dress sauce was particularly delicious. It cost $14.07, including tax. Latest update they had three different names on UberEats, which was confusing. Their prices and discounts were also different.

Best place to have lunch and salad in SF. Great salads and large portions and excellent friendly service. This is our second time here. Every time we come to the city, we must have this salad and stop here.!!

This place is awesome. The two ladies are always so sweet & happy. Anytime I come in, it's "hi how you been?" Or another friendly greeting. I come in at least once a week but when I don't, I get the haven't been home mom vibes & it's honestly so cute. I always get a breakfast croissant & the gf tends to go for the veggie bagel. The croissant is always bangin but then I gotta sneak a bite of the veggie bagel too cuz damn it looks good. The gf gets mad but it's worth it everytime & every bite!

The salads are on point. Portions are large and customer service even larger. Parking is a hit or miss which is why I don't go as often as I would like.

Wow! I used to work across the street from this spot and it's a hidden gem. The staff is super cheerful and helps guide you through all the options. Absolutely loveeee their bagels and their sandwiches. They have a little case with pasta salads and such that are also delicious! Plenty of space to sit and they have wifi so it's convenient to work and eat at the same time. I love it here!

In person costs more on DoorDash?! I ordered the cobb salad with no add-ons. Price on menu says 12.95, the menu behind the kitchen says 14.95. The final charge was $16.95? I just checked on doordash and its $15.95. Didn't know Salad has such market price?! For this price, I wish I've gone to mixt... sigh.

Honestly, I was never expecting to come here but I'm glad I did after looking them up on Google. The ladies there were super nice, and the ceviche was just shrimp but was still delicious. It came with avocado, chips, and was a great portion for the price. Definitely support this local business.

Really good salads and wraps and very kid friendly. Excited to have a place like this in the neighborhood will definitely be back.

Update: this place is still great. As someone who loves sandwiches I always wondered why other places don't let you have all three: sandwich, soup, and salad. This place has it and better presentation! Recommended to try 1/2 sandwich, soup, and salad combo.

The Salad Place and Rotisserie- San Francisco, Inner Mission District The mission while in Inner Mission. Late snack. Grab and go situation. Keeping it simple, no trying to fork down an elaborate salad or party tray in the car. It's drive and dine, baby. First time at this highly rated and highly reviewed deli in San Francisco. Be aware that parking can be a challenge! The corner lot is colorful and clean and things inside looked well organized and well stocked. Lots of service pans of ready to eat cold items. I ordered a ham and cheese on a sandwich roll. (Torpedo) Again, the ingredients are pretty basic in this one. Thin slices of deli ham and orange American cheese slices, fresh onions, pickles, lettuce and tomatoes. The produce was seriously remarkably fresh! The pickles were a nice balancing act between the produce and the meat and cheese. The torpedo roll was very fresh and fluffy with a nice outer crust. The workers putting things together were super nice. Very efficient, and welcoming too. It's easy to see why the place is so highly rated! And another thing- the price was super great! Come try it for yourself! I'll go back to try a salad!

The neighborhood wasn't the best looking, but it's nice and small with a homey cafe-vibe staff was very friendly and inviting when I stepped in. 4/5: Turkey Sandwich - Hot and right out of the oven! Good amount of meat and lots of cheese! Simple and delicious! 3.5/5: Pesto pasta - Good, but nothing special.

I really like this place, both locations. I always get their salad platter on a bed of greens and choose 4 different salads from their many options plus a dressing. Service is always quick and pleasant. Decent dining space but never crowded.

Egad, this is my 5,000th Yelp review. Little did I know back on July 21, 2006 that I would still be doing this. I had never heard of Yelp back then, but by happenstance, I found the handful of reviews for the original Delfina on 18th. Delfina has since gathered over 2,000 reviews, but at 5,000 (with an absurd number of photos), I was wondering what the subject should be for such a dubious milestone. I landed on this true mom-and-pop in a neighborhood I barely know, Crocker-Amazon, because isn't that what Yelp is really about? Discovering and sharing experiences about new places that pass well under the radar of food elitists gunning for entitlement as social influencers. This was a long ride on the embattled 14, and I was familiar with the name from the "other" Salad Place a few blocks up Mission on London Street. I had thought this was evidence of a burgeoning salad empire, but no, owner Gloria Aguirre straightened me out (in a manner of speaking) and told me that the landlord of the London Street location jacked up the rent which forced them to move to this way-south space. I'm not sure who owns the other location, but apparently it's not Gloria and her husband. The concept is the same though but expanded to include presumably meat since they added "& Rotisserie" to the name. It sure looked familiar when I entered. Lots of freshly made picnic salads in individual trays in a refrigerated display case (photo: http://bit.ly/2GmU9Ar). I asked Gloria whether she still served those combo salad plates she did at thee other place. She enthusiastically confirmed that I could choose four salads for $16.43. Deal. It was healthy eating, and I just really like their buffet approach here. I'll come back for the rotisserie part of the menu because that's what Yelp's about - regular (and sometimes irregular) people supporting local businesses doing the best they can in a city that doesn't provide much help. Love this place. The portion on this breakfast bagel was full filling. Yummmo!!! I also tried their natural juice (carrot&orange). Can't wait to order more off their menu :)

Just got out of eating here. A total mom and pop place that you should support. All the food is made fresh and to order. It'll take a little while but it's being made by scratch. Mom working there is very friendly, makes you feel like you're back home kind of feel. They play spanish music in the background which adds to the nice atmosphere. I got the sandwich and salad combo which came out to $14 plus some change. Pretty reasonable with what you get as well. Please support your local mom and pop stores so that your money goes back to the neighborhood and communities it serves!

Warning, you might be overwhelmed with the huge menu of items here!Great selection of salads, sandwiches and juices at very reasonable prices. You can choose 2 or 3 salads or with a sandwich combo. Will have to get a Panini or Cobb salad as others have recommended. Don't worry, the ladies here are very patient.

This place still has it going on! Came today to get a sandwich and was turned on to their 1/2 sandwich 1/2 salad! So got the scoop of chicken salad and a scoop of shrimp ceviche and the sandwich will be the House Club on panini ! Yummy on all the above excellent sandwich and am so loving this salad thank you Gloria for having one of the best lunches around!

My boyfriend and I used to regularly go to Sweet Tomatoes to have a "healthy meal"... Then we moved away from it, and had to settle for a Fresh Choice which inevitably closed down and turned into Black Bear Diner. Man, do we somehow miss fooling ourselves that sodium-laden dressed up salads and heavy cream chowders were healthy... Well, now The Salad Place & Rotisserie has come to the rescue to make us feel healthy and wholesome when we eat their salads, sandwiches, and smoothies! They are a pretty popular neighborhood spot and make everything right then and there, so I recommend calling in your order as it can take about 20 minutes. Their sandwiches are huge and they pack everything to the brim! The caesar salad my boyfriend and I shared was bursting out of the box, and they premixed the dressing for us. It was a great traditional caesar salad, although at the end the dressing got a little too thick and saucy for us - it's definitely a heavier salad with some funk from the cheese! The mini croutons were crisped very well. We split a bbq beef melted provolone cheese panini which made us full, as it was that huge. It was quite saucy and tangy inside with the sauces and melted cheese. The cheese came off more like a sauce than melted cheese. While it doesn't look that stuffed, it still tasted meaty, and was a good ratio to the flatter panini bread. They have a daily special which consists of a half sandwich, and either soup and salad, or two scoops of salads of your choice. Man, their half sandwich is pretty much the same size as a regular sandwich to me. It's such a good deal! I had half of a chicken breast panini which has a subtle delicious pesto, garlicky spread with generous partially melted mozzarella and moist chicken. I chose two scoops of pesto pasta and ceviche, and they packed it in. The pesto pasta was delicately tossed with pesto, so still tasted light and refreshing. The ceviche was mainly shrimp with little bits of pico de gallo - always amazing to have more seafood than random bits in a ceviche. The two scoops of salad were on top of a lettuce mix, and you're also given a big side of thick balsamic vinaigrette. The lettuce mix was flavored enough from the other salads on top of it, but the balsamic allowed for a tart and acidic end! We've had the strawberry banana and berry blend smoothies. They taste quite fresh, thick, and healthy (as far as fruit smoothies go). The berry blend was icier than the strawberry banana. Super nice and wholesome folks here - it's obviously reflected in the food!

I paid $5 on the Too Good To Go app for a surprise meal from here, they made me a vegetarian pasta salad with romaine, cucumber, tomato, feta, onion, topped with pasta salad & peas. It was really fresh and delicious, the two ladies working were so friendly and kind too!

I got the chicken breast sandwich and it is delicious, period. The service is good and the food is fresh.

Fresh and delicious! We had to have a bite to eat and opted for a fresher healthier choice we where not disappointed. My daughter loved the smoothie, my mom enjoyed a crab tostada and soup of the day which was (delicious tortilla soup) I shared with my mom. The chicken was tasty and most.

The Salad Combo was the perfect lunch. Well prepared chicken sandwich with salad was tasty and fresh. It is also a deli style counter with pasta salads etc. Making a choice was tough. I will return to explore more.

Great for a quick lunch. They offer a variety of sandwiches and salads. I get the sandwich and 2 salad combo (comes with romaine and dressing with the 2 salads of your choice). The lunch combo comes in one container. Quick service and very friendly staff.

I am so glad The Salad Place opened a new spot here. I had previously frequented the one on London St and came across this one after a hike up San Bruno mountain. Needless to say I was very hungry and the food here was delicious and generously sized, as expected. Although I could rave on and on about the food I must also mention the service. The lady that runs The Salad Place is one of the warmest people I have had the pleasure to meet. She and other staff always seem happy to see customers and are very helpful. Next time I am out for a hike I will swing by for more great food.

Smoked Turkey on the Multigrain!! You can taste it's made with love. Plus, the ladies are super nice and make it feel like home. Best sandwich place in SF! Be warned there is no apply pay.

I used to go to the one on London here and there but then my friend told me they have a new owner and the original owner opened up this location. I have only ordered the tortilla breakfast wrap. One time with turkey sausage, and the other time with chorizo. I prefer the turkey sausage because it's a little less oily compared to the chorizo. They put in yummy seasoned potatoes and the egg is on the thicker side. This is the kind of wrap where you are full after eating one half and you can have the other for leftovers. The chai latte's are made very well and the iced latte is solid too. Please support this local business! Great addition to that leg of Mission St. owned by great people.

SIS LET ME TELL YOU. Again I don't normally write reviews but this SALAD literally stopped people and made them turned heads. It was so yummy for the price I mean just look at it. Holy cow and two dressings is just what you need. Go right now treat ur sad COVID diet to some crunchy lettuce. Was looking for something healthy and fresh because this quarantine has got me eating so trashy lately. Came across this place and it's exactly what you'd want in a quick, easy pick up spot: paninis, salads, and several other treats! Best of all, they make everything fresh, right there. And what led me to leave this review is the customer service. They truly care about you and what you can/can't eat, and make everything custom/double check if you like everything that comes on whatever you ordered. So, so incredibly sweet. I felt like my mom and aunty were making me lunch! The food is great. The place is clean (98 health score, pretty much as good as it gets). And the customer service is on point.

I'm finally writing this review for selfish reasons. This was one of my favorite sandwich shops before they moved to my neighborhood. Now that it's here I don't want it to leave! The salads are very good (I particularly like the Cobb salad. So much good stuff in there!), but I call it my favorite "sandwich place" because their sandwiches are frigg'n' amazing! My fav is the House Club panini. It is not to be missed! Portions are big enough for two to share. Everything is made fresh so don't expect it to be slapped together fast like some fast food places. You can always call ahead if you're in a rush. The owner Gloria always makes me feel like family. She's working extra hard to keep the place open during this shelter-in-place order, by taking pickup and delivery orders (third party delivery) give it a try and help keep a really good eatery in my neighborhood!

The food is generally decent but they should really change their prices on the menu if it such a big price difference.. 12.95 to 14.95? I fine paying for it but at least let people know if you're not going to change it 8n the menu. Also, adding an egg is 2.50? My god...I'll take my business to the other location from now on. I don't know why I strayed away from that location in the first place....I literally ate the same thing the day before at the actual salad place near Persia ave and cost me almost $4 less. Some businesses just love charging more just because....

I ordered a combo sandwiches and it was delicious, and the strawberry smoothie, one of my favorite places to have lunch

The food was really good and I'm a huge fan of the smoothies. The customer service was really good and they always made sure I was taken care of. They also made some last minute adjustments to my order as I forgot to add a couple of things.

I wasn't expecting much but definitely good place which the neighborhood needs. Staff was super nice and they made the extra star. I've gotten the Caesar salad with chicken and the chicken is so tasty. Dressed light and perfectly. Could have benefited from homemade croutons. Cobb is really good too. Trying the combo/2 scoops next, lots of ppl seem to order this and looks really fresh. We've gone back multiple times and all great experiences and food including cobb salad and chicken panini. All really fresh.

Good place for a fresh salad. You can create your own salad ( salad platter) by choosing for premade salads to create one big salad. The serving size is big. Their smoothies are also good

Giving us all the four star just for the food I got a half sandwich and half salad special with two scoops and everything was extremely fresh and delicious. Service was friendly although the areas is Abit sketch, there's a minor running with between two men during the time I was inside the sandwich store over something dumb I got a half sandwich and salad special with two scoops of salad which was $12.95 but when I went to go check out I was charged $14.95 and only told after the fact that because I chose a panini that was a dollar more? Why didn't the lady behind the counter Tell me this when I asked if I could order a panini especially when the add-on charge is not posted? I then asked her what the other extra dollar was and she went on and on and said well you had chicken in your sandwich and you could have basic sandwich instead bla bla... needless to say I was happy with my meal as it wasn't a half sandwich is actually a full sandwich and a big half salad... What makes me think that maybe her workers actually made a full sandwich instead of a half sandwich and that she had to charge me more instead of the mistake and she just gave me BS? Who knows but considering the food is good just make sure you know the price of what you're paying before you order go support your local business!

This place is wonderful for all your breakfast and lunch needs and the portions are enormous! Everything is made fresh from the juices to the salads. The owner is absolutely the sweetest thing ever and will always greet you with a smile and good vibes. Check them out!

Ordered a green juice and chicken panini from this place for takeout. Extremely impressed with the portion and taste of both! The sandwich could have easily fed you and your partner for dinner, and the green juice tasted great. Delivery was prompt and I received extra utensils and napkins along with my meal. You will definitely get your money's worth here!

I absolutely love this place! So glad they opened here in my neighborhood. The service is excellent, warm & friendly. The sandwiches & paninis are very-good and enough for two! Go hungry. The salads are just as good. So good in fact we are now in the habit of buying some of their salads to go and eat throughout the week for lunch & dinner. They do a fantastic chicken salad...
