I really like the concept of this place but I feel that it was not well executed. It has a very nice array of things to put on salads that you can pick yourself but I just find that everything tastes like it came out of a bag from Sysco, including all of the dressings. It just seems to me if you're going to do something like this there should be some kind of distinctive thing about it it can't just be the sum of its parts. Make your salad dressings really good or unique or make your ingredients very fresh but I feel like this place is failed in both categories. Even the so-called proprietary drinks that they offer are really uninspiring and taste watered down, just like the dressings and everything else. Overall I'm disappointed more than anything else because I think there's a tremendous amount of potential here but the quality is below average. Places like cava and Chipotle have a similar kind of a la carte menu but they put a lot more attention into the individuality of their ingredients and how they all taste uniquely different and good. This place just feels like every salad bar ever, phoned it in. and for the prices they're charging I just don't think it justifies that

There was a few items that were cross contamination had happened because of sloppy customer. There was an older worker Margo who was so helpful. She offered a sample of a soup to my Great Aunt. As a manager I watched Margo treat all customers with the same care. She recognized regular customers, spoke to everyone who walked in the door AND never stopped cleaning , wiping or filling things up. I had to tell Margo how I felt she was an amazing employee. I hope your younger employees take notice. Margo was really outshining them . This was my first time here and I was really impressed. Heidi L Bayer

Google
5 Stars – My Go-To Spot for Fresh, Flavorful Eats! I frequent Salad Station on Magazine!!! It’s consistently fresh, delicious, and satisfying. The cleanliness variety of toppings, proteins, and dressings lets me switch it up every visit while still eating fresh and healthy. The staff is always welcoming, the space is spotless, and the experience is quick and easy. Highly recommend!

Christopher Chin

Google
The food is extremely fresh! They are always cutting and chopping up the vegetables for the salad which means nothing is sitting for too long. All the varieties of protein are a huge plus when making my salad. There is no place you can go to create a customized gourmet salad in the New Orleans area for the price and convenience.

Review Date: January 20, 2025 I had an extremely disappointing experience at Salad Station today. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was unwelcoming. The staff was not only rude but seemed completely disinterested in providing even basic customer service. To make matters worse, the entire establishment reeked of marijuana, creating an unpleasant and unprofessional dining environment. On top of that, an employee aggressively harassed me over something as trivial as salad dressing, making the experience even more uncomfortable. Instead of a friendly and accommodating service, I felt like I was being interrogated over my own meal choices. Given the poor service, unprofessional behavior, and the off-putting smell, I would strongly advise against visiting this location. There are plenty of other restaurants that value their customers—this is certainly not one of them. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

So boom! I had never heard of them, so when I saw it on Tiktok, I knew I had to try it. I went and was greeted when I first walked in. Then read the signs about grab gloves. I then ask a nice young lady about a wrap and the process. She informed us on what to do and we began making our salads & wraps. Everything was so fresh in there..OMG! So little did we know the young lady that I asked was training and the other lady who was training her was very helpful. She helped the young lady she was training and the us. It was a plus bc she was well attentive. That buffalo chicken wrap on a wheat tortilla I had was so darn good geesh! Then I added a little ranch. She had a chicken wrap on wheat tortilla with honey mustard. Yooooo you can add however many toppings but the note they charge by the weight. They had it all far as meats and seafood. Along with all the toppings and fruit. The establishment was clean and areas that needed to be cleaned they were cleaning it. It was only 3 young ladies in there working. Big ups to them bc they was on it. They even explained the rewards program. Will be back! *1 thing I wish they had somewhere to warm the meats and cheese.

Google
very disturbing in the building, service is to slow. A young lady with purple shaded color hair was cursing infront me and my six year old child across the room to other employees. The other employees was calling her “ryan” ryan was very disrespectful towards me when i asked if she can cut it and make me a bowl she seem to have an attitude towards me when i asked that and i felt very uncomfortable . This is my first and last time at salad station.

Google
Restaurant was clean and well stocked. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back soon for a quick and delicious lunch!

Yelp
Salad was really amazing and I had a bunch topping dressings to choose from. And every time I visit the service is amazing.

Yelp
I love the idea of a salad bar but this one missed the mark. First of all it's pricey for a salad. Secondly the items available don't look fresh. While there's a huge variety of toppings, I skipped many because it looked grey and day old. I wouldn't go back but if expensive, day old salad is your thing, go for it.

Yelp
For got chicken . Wtf to paid $20.30 for the plant salad . Can you explain for your business pls

William S.

Yelp
They don't answer the phone, they are pretty polite once you arrive though. The lemonades have been awful lately. Hot bar has been trash as well. Very underwhelming

Catherine H.

Yelp
I love this place .. I woke up to a text message telling me I had a reward of a free salad up to one pound for my birthday .. I had also had a free 1/2 pound salad for down loading the app... so lunch for me and my son was on salad station .. what a great birthday surprise .. as usual the staff was super friendly and the food super fresh .. it's so wonderful to have them in the neighborhood .. for days when I'm too tired to cook or just too busy it offers a healthy alternative to the local fast food places

Yelp
I had a nice, quick lunch here today. I'm always on the hunt for healthy lunch options, and this fit the bill. As they're brand new I didn't know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. This is a salad, soup and baked potato buffet style restaurant. You choose an appropriate container and fill up your container as you follow the line of salad fixings, or you can go to the baked potato area and do the same. There were several employees behind the counter refilling the fixing containers as needed, and there were so many veggies, proteins and mixed salads to choose from. You're also able to try the dressings before pouring them on your salad. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was friendly and efficient. The manager was kind enough to give me a bottle of alkaline water with lemon so that I could give it a try. I think he saw me checking it out. It was refreshing! I'm happy I stopped in today!

Tamara M.

Yelp
This is my second time here. I love the fact I can make my own salad. Everything was fresh. My issue is that both times here the staff is not friendly at all. One of the staff members shoved by extra chair in so hard that it hit the table. Never said excuse me, I'm sorry! Yes, it is busy but customer service goes a long way. The customers are a lot more friendly then staff. The hot bar was had spills all around it. The dressing area has spills all around it. Maybe a little tidying up would be nice on a regular interval.

Diane O.

Yelp
Love the healthy options offered as it's rare for a restaurant to be healthy. Ambiance is earthy and lively. Enjoyed my salad a lot

Sheri C.

Yelp
Mmm yummy. I just finished my salad from here. I have been here many times. I got a 10-topping salad with romaine lettuce. I added roasted garlic, cilantro, peas, corn, tomatoes, mushrooms, roasted chicken, sunflower seeds, and i forgot what else, because they are all in my belly! The salad was fresh, delicious, and I have not had a bad experience from there yet. There are so many toppings to choose from and you can make a healthy (or not) and refreshing salad in minutes. LOVE THIS PLACE! I do wish they were open a little later, but I get it - they wanna have a life, too! So, good on them for that, actually. Keep it up, Salad Station - you are awesome!

Nala L.

Yelp
This place has drastically gone down in quality. Food is sometimes waterlogged. Greens are not fresh. Their friends get the fresh items though so if you're lucky to be behind them , you too can ask to have fresh cut lettuce. Savannah seemed to have an attitude today and maybe didn't want to be at work. Cashier was pleasant though. System was slow however.

N P.

Yelp
Hit or miss, some ingredients fresh, some look old, browned.Self service and a bit pricy. Ample seating, a bit loud. Employees chopping salads or rinsing stainless steel mixing bowls is very loud. Some soup containers way back on the counter at the self serve makes a mess. Fountain drink machine rusty. Ice tea trays rusty.

Oreion L.

Yelp
Great ambiance and atmosphere. The service was very friendly and efficient. The food was fresh and delicious. 10/10 experience. Definitely will be a repeat customer. Jonique was so sweet!

Charette T.

Yelp
It was reasonably priced, ingredients were relatively fresh. There were gloves and hand sanitizer for everyone to use to fix their salads. The staff was friendly. 1 star off for limited salad dressing.

Elenora B.

Yelp
I've always passed Salad Station but never gave it a try because I'm not the biggest salad fan. I love salads, but not as my main meal. However, I finally tried Salad Station tonight and it definitely changed my mind! I love how you can build your own salad and pile it with as many or as little toppings as you want. I also liked how they made you wear gloves because it made the whole process cleaner and more sanitary which is usually an issue with buffet style places. I absolutely loved their Caesar dressing and my favorite protein was their garlic and herb roasted chicken. That chicken is definitely going to be something I crave. The price varies because it depends on how much you get on your salad. Mine was about $10 which is pretty good for being able to select all of my own toppings. The store itself was pretty clean and one of the workers there was super helpful in answering the questions I had about the process. The worker, Warren, was excellent and answered all of my questions about the toppings and what was what. I will 100% be back here soon! So fresh, tasty, filling, and great service!

Barri B.

Yelp
I am a big fan of Salad Station, but my visit today was very disappointing. There was hardly any romaine lettuce left, and the iceberg lettuce was largely brown. When I asked if there was any more romaine lettuce, one of the workers eventually pulled out of big box of romaine. But the it had to be to cut in small pieces, and I didn't have time. So I sifted through the brown lettuce to at least try to find some green. It was 11 a.m. - lunchtime for a lot of people. Why wouldn't a bin of cut romaine lettuce be ready to go? And were the few pieces of lettuce that were in the bin from yesterday? I find it hard to believe that a full bin of romaine lettuce would have been gone in 30 minutes (they open at 10:30). I always leave a tip when I pay but not today. On a positive note, I was happy to see avocado back on the bar. I'm not giving up Salad Station yet but I sure hope things are better when I return.

Kelsey R.

Yelp
The lack of customer service is abhorrent. I am sure that is a big word for the 'stellar' staff at the location on Veterans Blvd. They forgot to give our entire order to the UberEats driver & when we called, they offered no solution beyond me driving from Uptown to Jefferson Parish. The unsmiling goth girl passed a bag through a 4 inch space of the door. No apology No offer of a cookie or beverage for the drive home. What the heck??? Why did we waste our money on this venue??

Renee E.

Yelp
The last time I ate there - the salad was wilted and at $10 a pound is expensive- the Salad dressing is terrible - no calorie is available

Tisha J.

Yelp
Nice staff, clean and good food. Parking not the best but I make it work. It's worth it

Ongelle C.

Yelp
Love a great salad, especially one that I can build myself. Guess I got carried away because boy it can get expensive. Just need to be more conscientious because I could only eat half of what I put in my bowl. The ingredients are so fresh and vast. Wished the place was a little bigger because it gets really crowded at lunch time. Can't wait for the Kenner location to open. It's been dragging out for a long time now.

Lana M.

Yelp
Love the food here . The lettuce is fresh and lots of choices . The toppings are all great and the meat is fresh . Love the options of soups and the potato station is my next choice when I go back . The price for what I purchased was reasonable . Did t break my bank . Hope you try it out . The staff is friendly and helpful . I will def return .

Mia K.

Yelp
This is a great place to go for a healthy alternative to fast food. Besides the fresh produce, there is also delicious buffalo chicken, chicken salad and shrimp. Lots of good toppings like pecans, almonds, pumpkin seeds, etc. Also, free captains wafer crackers which I love.

Julie M.

Yelp
The salad was decent. The toppings were numerous! Do Not get the avacado!! I couldn't even stick my fork in it. When I asked one of the personnel, she's like "oh it's just not ripe yet"! So I told her that, "what I paid for something that I can't eat", to no response! Why is it even on the salad bar if it's not ripe ??? WOW

Songbird S.

Yelp
YUM!!!! Just ate there on Friday, 8/9 and am SO thrilled that it's very close to my house. I was EXTREMELY impressed by the overwhelming amount of choices you have. Since it was my first visit, I put a little bit of everything I wanted into my salad and paid $10 for it--a huge bargain considering that it was over 1 lb due to tomatoes, artichoke hearts, chicken salad, pineapple and more. Everything is super-fresh, LOVE that it's local-based. Still waiting to hear (and hoping) that their crawfish are Louisiana-based too, because that's the Friday soup which I didn't have that day. Met one of the owners who was onsite--seems like a great guy along with the entire staff. I sincerely hope this place does well. It's a VERY welcome change from national chains, and I'm so happy to have super-fresh healthy ingredients prepared onsite. The homemade lemonade was the best I've had since I was a kid. Just the right strength, tartness and sweetness, with none of that nasty weird aftertaste some brands have. Homemade chocolate chip cookies were something like 35 cents (maybe 39, can't remember--but a bargain!) I'll be back OFTEN! Highly recommend. It's at Oaklawn & Veterans, directly across from Burger King (near Dorignac's.)

Keifer L.

Yelp
I went there today, Abby was most helpful and polite! She refilled everything on the salad bar that was low or empty. My best experience there yet. Will continue to come back.

Erin V.

Yelp
The only reason that the review is not a 1 is because the salad was actually decent. We showed up an hour before they closed to chairs stacked in 1/2 of the place. No one was behind the counter and a few of the items were empty. There were no soups out, and when we asked, the two young girls that finally came from the back told us they pulled them already and had to go see if they had dumped them yet. After checking out and saying we planned on dining in, we had to ask for forks because there where none out and then the girls started loudly stacking chairs around us. Like I said, they had an hour before they closed.

Eric K.

Yelp
Refuse to accept orders one hour prior to closing and refuses to answer the phone. very unprofessional.

Alexandra B.

Yelp
I know 6pm isn't peak salad hour so I figured why not try that new salad place I heard about! Ha..... The soda machine is out of syrup for sprite and Powerade, my baked potato is cold, and my pretty small/medium salad and one tiny scoop of chili came out to $28. It's even more bizarre when you walk in no one says a word when you leave no one says a word. I decided to say bye and thank you and was met with silence. Everyone is super busy on their phones while one guy cleans. Won't waste my time driving from New Orleans for that again.

Donna A.

Yelp
This place is just what I have been looking for. Delicious salad with so many choices. You can also get soup, limited hot meals & make your own wrap. Reasonably priced (I was a bit nervous I would end up with $30 salad). All the ingredients seems so fresh. Lots of room to dine in & very clean. I will definitely be returning. Only minor complaint was they played music that was a bit loud so you feel you have to over talk it to have a conversation.

Cindy B.

Yelp
Was much better before COVID. Not enough folks go so food sits. Not sure it will stay. Maybe another location is better than this one.

Bert B.

Yelp
A main stable on the regular for us, only thing is it's gotten where things are there or switched to a different type etc,.tea changes per who makes it but I will go back they cause try and do well

Ethan C.

Yelp
The place was not as clean as most salad stations but not dirty. Food was great as usual. Had to wait 4 minutes to pay and i was the only one waiting to pay. The ice machine wasn't working and the sweet tea was unsweet. The food made up for its flaws though.

Melissa K.

Yelp
Clean and fresh. Soups hot and delicious. All the toppings and fixings you can imagine and all prices were very reasonable.

Tiffany W.

Yelp
Okay who doesn't love salad? This is my lunch spot when I'm feeling like a particular healthy meal. You can really make any combination that you would like. I make a rather simple salad of lettuce, egg, ham, cheese, bacon, onion, and Italian dressing. Typing that out...not quite that healthy, but it's a start. On my jazzier moods I may make a chicken salad with their sesame dressing which is phenomenal.

Karen W.

Yelp
The food here is delicious. I like the music playing in the background. The staff is very nice and friendly. I will be back here everyday when I'm working in this area.

N B.

Yelp
In NOLA for business, decided to stop here on my way back to hotel. The selections were well laid out and fresh. Staff were helpful. I took my order to go but will definitely go back on my next business trip

Erin M.

Yelp
Great service, clean, fresh and delicious with so many options. I can't wait to try the soups when it gets a little cooler out! Will return!

Hal E.

Yelp
i've eaten here a few times and it's a place where its a hit or miss. they never answer the phone and the delivery segment of this location sucks. i would highly avoid this location as you can spend your 12.0o at a much better restaurant. horrible management.

Whitney F.

Yelp
Salad Station was a great find. They opened about a month ago I'm told. It's a self serve salad bar that's huge! They have every topping, lettuce and meat you can think of. If you not feeling a salad you can opt for a wrap, loaded (how you like) baked potato, a soup station, and even a small hot food bar with items that rotate daily. The soups have the ingredients listed. I didn't see flour listed on several of them but inquired anyway to be on the safe side. The manager wasn't sure if that was the complete list and said he would find out so for now I steered clear of the soups. I'll update this review when I find out more info. It's easy to to find something for everyone here. I went with my coworkers and they loved it. There are a lot of salad dressing to choose from and you can even get your salad chopped! I didn't know this until after I had eaten half of my salad so I'll have to remember for next time. The space is small but there are lots of tables, just a tad tight. The salads are by weight, so be careful it's easy to want to pile on everything you see :-) I made a huge salad and it was about $12 which wasn't bad. I feel like I can eat here for $10 and under which My budget loves. There are gloves for you to put on when your making your salad- I didn't see many people use them tho. Maybe there needs to be better signage because I love that this is available. The food is very fresh and they are constantly chopping and replenishing everything right in front of you. This is a good option for low carb and gluten-free eating. Check them out for lunch or dinner.

Eddie S.

Yelp
They offer lots and lots of freshly prepared salad options, even the items you wouldn't have thought about. In addition, they offer several different soup options, a baked potato station and side items like seasoned chicken and taco meat. You can make a wrap too.

Autumn C.

Yelp
Overall, I like this place. Lots of good, fresh ingredients to choose from. A little pricey at $7.99/lb; pretty easy to accidentally make a $15 salad. Despite complaining about the price every time I go, I continue to go back. Though I recently had an experience that made me very unhappy. I showed up at 7:15pm-- 45 minutes before close-- and there was not a single hot meat option available. All of the hot meat options had been taken to the back and the cleaning process had begun (looked like hot water was in the metal containers). The salad dressings all had caps on them. The workers were very clearly trying to break everything down early so that they could quickly leave after closing time. I worked in the restaurant industry for many years, so I try to be understanding. But the extent of the break down nearly an hour before closing time was ridiculous. Luckily it wasn't my first time visiting, because if so, I wouldn't be returning. I came there for dinner, but could only make an appetizer salad with no meat. If they want to offer 1/2 options after 7pm, they should offer 1/2 off the cost too! I suspect this is a management issue that can easily be addressed. Hoping this review gets the right person's attention.

Alexis A.

Yelp
This place is so bomb . Super cheap and tons of options for salads and plenty of salad dressings I'm pretty sure they make them too which I appreciate. All toppings are the same price . Shrimp and avocado too

Kirk B.

Yelp
Never had a problem in the past. I've always like this placed, but that is probably because I made my own salads before. Not only do they completely ignore your comments on the order, they forgot to even follow their own recipes. They forgot to put avacodo in my wife's salad, put cucumber in mine after I specifically told them to leave them out. They did not put broccoli in the salad, though it called for it, did not sub bell peppers as I asked, and didn't even give me salad dressing! These were $9 salads that they couldn't even follow their own recipes.

L. H.

Yelp
I like this place, it's a new salad joint in the New Orleans area. They have every topping that you can think of, and I wide variety of dressings. They also have a hot bar and soups that they serve on different days throughout the week. I've eaten here 3 days in a row this week and looking forward to coming more often. So far so good in my book!

Brion T.

Yelp
First of all, why have I never been informed about this place? I've always been on the hunt for a good salad bar & this is it. They have all the toppings you need & they even serve soups. My salad was very tasty & refreshing. I would highly recommend this place!

Ron G.

Yelp
Very dissapointing that you do not offer any organic lettuce or toppings. Whole foods offers a whole big bag of organic lettuce for only $3. Not thank you to pesticides and round up on my food.

Brittaney G.

Yelp
In the mood for something light and fresh? This is your place. They have all the salad toppings you could possibly want (except sweet pickle slices, so if that's your one thing, you'll be disappointed). That being said, the had multiple meat types, multiple cheeses, tons of dressings, pasta salads, and the list goes on! They also had some soups to choose from, which I didn't try, so I'm not sure how good they are, but if it's anything like the rest of the food, you won't be disappointed. I will definitely be going back here! Also, it's safe to go there during Covid. They had sanitizing stations and all guests are required to wear gloves (which are provided by the restaurant) while touching anything on the salad bar.

Maria G.

Yelp
This place is great! The salads are all fresh & they have many items to choose from, they also have a variety of soups. The staff is very friendly & the restaurant is very clean.

Renella C.

Yelp
Lots to choose from but very expensive. The food was fresh and had a large variety to choose from.

Darryl S.

Yelp
Great concept. Very fresh ingredients. Very friendly staff. My only complaint, when they first opened I tried a couple of times to call them for info and they don't answer their phone.
