The Saloon

The atmosphere was highly enjoyable. The beverages we ordered were a Maple Pecan Old Fashioned and a traditional Old Fashioned. The traditional Old Fashioned had an excessive bitter flavor, which detracted from its overall taste. The Maple Pecan Old Fashioned, however, had a delightful pecan flavor that I thoroughly appreciated. I did not order any food, and based on the chili frito pie being prepared, I would not order it.

We came the night before, EXCELLENT SERIVCE with a different bartender. So we wanted to drop by again on July 19th @ 4pm. This bartender was horrible. Bad attitude. Terrible Customer service. The couple before us (that was visiting from Wisconsin) told us” good luck” they aren’t very friendly. We apologized & said “ Texas people are not like them) They saw us & ignored us. Yes, we know it’s a bar but you don’t have to treat people like you work at a trashy bar…. Very unprofessional. Her & her partner. THIS IS TEXAS! We don’t treat people this way! (Editing this review) added the photo. These 2 are reading the review and staring us down. Pretty intimidating. The gentlemen next to us apologized. As if we knew they were being racist. They both worked as a team to ignore customers. They didn’t start smiling until they knew we put a review. They would go into a closet and stay in there. Idk why… maybe to decide how they wanted to treat the next customer. The atmosphere was unfriendly and unwelcoming.

December 2025 The Saloon is another Albert Hotel property where takes you back to the 1800s but without the stinky smell (talking about the horses outside, spittoons and and the art of not bathing). The place is authentic and great to enjoy a seat at the long wood bar. Even if you don't drink its worth walking in to check it out.

Second time we’ve been here and always phenomenal. Whiskey selection is amazing, and once you got a little buzz going that hotdog is one of the best you’ll ever have in your life. 🐽😆😭🙏🫶💯

New bar with old school vibes. Our bartender Autumn provided excellent service; great drinks and good eats. The “Frostee” beer was such a treat on this hot July afternoon.

I loved this neighborhood bar/saloon, ambiance was very Texas they had frozen margaritas and Jack and Coke on draft, dollar hot dogs and frito pie!! Doesn't get more Texas than this. Love this place.

The bartender was friendly and made great drinks! My whiskey sour was made with honeysuckle rye and egg whites and it was so good! And she made hearts in the foam

The service here is always great and I think the drinks are at a relatively good price. This was our second time coming here and it has made our list of places to go to every time we call just to have one drink and leave. This place reminds me of a bar back home and they do occasionally have live music.

Cute bar on Main St that we stopped into before going to dinner. We placed our order at the bar and then easily snagged a table in the large space. We had a frozen margarita and a tequila so I can't speak to the cocktail menu but the margarita was great.

The service was great once we were able to get a seat at the bar cause the bar was packed when we walked in. Great place to kick back, relax, have a drink, and be social.

I love to stop by here when I'm in Fredricksburg. It may not look like much but if you are craving a queso hot dog and a frosty beer on a hot day, definitely stop here.

The best spot for locals non locals nice blend of people music drinks and fun. Stop in for happy hour!!

Great drinks! We had the frozen margarita and frozen whisky Coke - both great on a hot summer day. They had a great array of liquor and a few bar snacks (chips, nuts and hot dogs) I think a chips and queso option or popcorn machine would be a good addition as a simple bar food to encourage more, uh, drinking! Overall great experience, great service.

How could I rate this place anything but 5 stars?!? My great grandfather built and ran it in the late 1800s as The White Elephant Saloon. Love it's opened back up as a saloon. A special nod to Chris and Autumn!

This is a great bar if you desire a craft cocktail and need to escape from the Main St madness. However! Do not order an Old Fashioned. All of our other cocktails were excellent including Marghies & Whiskey Sours. I am not sure what they did but our OFs were without a doubt the worst ever. I believe the bartender got her elbow up too high when adding the bitters. The Marghies, on the rocks, were perfect and a strong pour. The whiskey sours were a perfect balance of sour, bitter, and sweet flavors. Both were great thirst quenchers on a hot Saturday afternoon. Do stop in but not for an Old Fashioned!

Great new bar on Main Street. Fun, great vibes and great drinks. You must try the seasonal the pumpkin cocktail. This is a must try while in Fredericksburg.

The best margarita I've ever had! Tried this place after "Junebug" from the best bbq ribs I've ever had, recommend it. Bartender was awesome and we love this place. Definitely will be back!!!!!!!

Overpriced drinks, nasty food, and poor service. It is part of the Albert Hotel so we are not surprised based on the experiences with the rest of the property. Still not getting "the luxury" they market.

"The Saloon", in the Alberts hotel Fredericksburg TX. What a cool little spot my wife and I just found in the hill country on our way to West TX. Margaritas are hand made from scratch and our bartender Sunni was great. She suggested a Frito pie and it was on point. conversation with Sunni was awesome Margaritas were perfect, can't wait to stop back by this weekend On our way back home to Montgomery, TX.

Who doesn't love an adult icee! Great spot for adult beverages. Clean establishment and cold AC. CHEERS!
