"Welcome to Brighton’s fishiest Ralph Lauren campaign. This is a fancy seafront restaurant where anniversaries are celebrated over whole lobsters and graduations are toasted with clinking glasses of Veuve Clicquot. The classic seafood options will hit the spot if you want to look at the sea while enjoying something that once lived in it. But the service can feel a little bit like you’re playing a game of telephone with the most popular kids in school, so for a more fuss-free scallop fest, opt for a seat out on the terrace. Dutifully sniff the salt air and focus on romanticising your life with sea views and a wholesome spread—we like the Sunday ‘reef and beef’ sharer the best." - heidi lauth beasley

Incredible evening, we loved it. We had an early reservation for a Saturday, 5pm. Arrived when it was quieter and were able to enjoy leisurely cocktails in the bar before going through to sit down. Very knowledgeable staff, taking care to describe the menu and ingredient/allergens. Plenty of options for gluten free. Delicious food with decent portions but not so big that we couldn't manage 3 courses! Our table was required back for evening service so we couldn't linger beyond 730 at which point the restaurant was very busy and had a great atmosphere. Really great experience and would definitely go back. Nice decor and great location across the road from the beach.

We came for a graduation celebration as a group of seven and had an amazing experience. We had two whole fish to share (Seabass and Brill) which were grilled and filleted by request before served. The scallops were definitely a standout in the starters! Our waiter Gregory ensured that we had enough sides for the group, constantly kept our glasses topped up and had a giggle with the table. Definitely recommend !

Classy and chic! My husband and I have been here a few times, and it never disappoints; eating dinner with a view! This time, we took our two teenagers, one of whom is a vegetarian. The menu was limited for her, but despite this, both thoroughly enjoyed the selection of food we ordered. The Salt Room made it extra special by bringing a plate out at the end, wishing me a happy 40th birthday! Thank you. See you again soon!

As soon as you walk in you are greated by the lovely staff lovely atmosphere warm and cosy . Spoilt for choice on the menu aswell as the specials board. The nicest restaurant we have ever been to in brighton .Highly recommended 👌 and will definitely be returning there.Myself and my fiancee had Salmon starter followed by halibut and bream. And desert platter went down a treat 😋 Thank you to all the Staff at the Salt Rooms for a lovely Evening.

Wow. We came as a group of 11 (with a reservation). The service was some of the best I’ve experienced, I had three gorgeous off-menu cocktails, and we shared the most amazing seafood, starters, and chocolate desserts. Thank you also for a lovely birthday dessert!

The food is just incredible , so fresh with amazing taste. Service is friendly, professional and very helpful with the menu. Atmosphere is cool, chic, but relaxed and really enjoyable. Have been here twice in the last 4 weeks. Definitely one of my favourites.

So glad we decided to book a table. Interesting, enticing menu and blackboard of specials. I can thoroughly recommend the cornish crab starter with pickled cucumber. We both had surfboard of fish and shellfish. My photo speaks volumes. Beautifully cooked seafood over charcoal and mussels steamed simply in wine, butter and bayleaf which didn't detract from their seaside flavour. Very attentive serving staff. The desserts looked wonderful especially the selection of mini desserts but we didn't want to ruin the flavours of our shellfish. Very disabled friendly. Booking was no problem. There is a flat entrance on the side leading to the restaurant plus accessible toilet. There is another raised seating areas and outside undercover seating too.
