The Salutation Inn

This a review for the restaurant only, I didn’t stay here, so no clue about the rooms, but the food at dinner was superb! We had all entrees and for my taste, the duck was superb but my brother liked the scallops more. The sauces on the scallops were so good, we licked em clean off the plate. The ceviche was decent too but the other two entrees were just really more to our tastes. For mains, mum & I split the hot seafood platter and my brother got the sea bass. Every bite was delicious! The seafood taste really shown through and just perfectly cooked! At end, got a lovely surprise fudge to celebrate my birthday

Just returned home from a special experience at the Salutation Inn. The meal experience to me comprises the atmosphere in the location, the waiting staff attending to you and the meal. I could fault none of these; comfortable relaxing dining room. polite and attentive waiting staff and perfect food. Well done Salutationj Inn. I salute you!

We popped in just for some great coffee and to use there very unique toilets.. The food looked very tempting also. What a lovely place to relaxed, refresh yourselves to continue exploring Topsham. Definitely recommend

We took the chance to stop for Afternoon Tea while staying in the area. The platter of savoury and sweet was beautifully presented and very tasty too. The amount of food offering was just right and reasonably priced. We weren’t offered refills of tea or coffee on top of what we initially ordered and when one of us requested a second coffee it was charged as an extra - which we haven’t encountered before with afternoon teas. That said it was a lovely afternoon and we did enjoy everything we had!

This is such an amazing hotel, we love it and stay regularly. It's always spotless, comfortable and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautifully decorated and furnished. It's ideally situated in Topsham. We have been using the hotel for years as a couple, as a family and sometimes I have stayed here on my own and felt perfectly comfortable and safe. We highly recommend a stay here..

We have family in Topsham and have often thought how nice the hotel looks - it's an exceptionally interesting building, both inside and out. This time we needed somewhere to stay - the Salutation could not have been better. The rooms were excellent, spacious, very clean, modern, with extremely comfortable beds. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The price was fair. And there is a car park. All in all the best hotel experience we have had for as long as we can remember. Thank you!

Our 4-night stay here was wonderful. Friendly, helpful staff; very spacious and comfortable room. We both slept well on the excellent bed with fluffy pillows, and appreciated the daily cleaning service. We did not eat in the restaurant - as we are not fancy diners - but you can easily find coffee, pastries, and other meal options in town. We really enjoyed our stay here, and exploring nearby attractions in Devon.

We had a lovely stay at The Salutation Inn last night. All staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast this morning was excellent as well. We would definitely stay here again!

Newly opened and completely revamped. Chef Tom Williams formerly worked at Gidleigh Park a reniwned 2 Michelin star restaurant and the Abode another Michael Caines establishment before starting the Salutation Inn in Topsham England. The luncheon menu offers an affordable and elegant opportunity to sample some of the finest food in the region. We each had a different dish and all the food was outstanding. We would love to return and stay overnight and sample one of the tasting menus. 9.5 out of 10 Excellent
