The Sanctuary Music and Events

Our non-profit organization, LatterHouse Decor, was blessed to be able to have our 10 year anniversary celebration at this beautiful venue. Jason was exceptional, and we really enjoyed working with him as we went through the process of getting everything set up. He was responsive, detailed, and just incredibly nice! Carissa and Jocelyn were also super sweet and helpful in making set up date go very smoothly. We really appreciated being able to have access to the venue all day. And, the upstairs suites were perfect for everyone that needed to get ready. Thank you to everyone that helped make this experience even more memorable! We appreciate you so much!

My husband thoroughly enjoyed his 55th phenomenal birthday party at the Sanctuary event center! They offer a package that makes planning much easier. It’s a “one stop shop” (food, florals, DJ, bartenders, decor, etc..) and all of his vendors are professional and efficient! He referred both a photographer, videographer that were amazing! The venue is clean and spacious! We had access to the kitchen, frig, two private dressing areas, etc… perfect for weddings! The FOOD, Oh the food! They provided a tasting prior to the party, but the food was even better at the party. We are from Louisiana and no good food! This was SIMPLY, delectable! The owner, Jason is one of the most attentive, kind and humble humans I’ve met in a long time! He went above and beyond his duty to ensure that everything was in its place… ready set go! His primary goal was our satisfaction…Mission Accomplished! It’s over a month later and our guests are still raving about the party and how nice the venue was!! Book this venue Now…You will not be disappointed!!

First time. Great venue. Highly recommend for live music. Floor tables available. Only a handful of balcony tables which provide a great experience and almost a private concert vibe. On a side note, The Maylee Thomas Band played and their arrangement of Simple Man was sublime. For that matter the entire set was great. Guitarist was dealing with back issues and still brought it. What a fun surprise. We will definitely be checking the website regularly to find more musicians to come see.

I recently rented The Sanctuary for my daughter's graduation party, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From start to finish, everything was perfect. The venue itself is stunning, with spacious and beautifully decorated rooms that provided the ideal setting for our celebration. The staff was incredibly accommodating and attentive, ensuring that every detail was taken care of and that we had everything we needed. Thank you Jennifer. One of the highlights was the flexibility they offered in terms of setup and customization. We were able to personalize the space to match our vision, and the result was absolutely magical. The audiovisual equipment was top-notch, making the slideshow and music presentations seamless and enjoyable for everyone. Parking was ample and convenient, which made the arrival and departure hassle-free for all our guests. Overall, this place provided an exceptional experience that made my daughter's graduation party memorable and special. I highly recommend this venue for any event – they truly go above and beyond to ensure a successful and joyous occasion.

Also, we had A LOT of flexibility in choosing our own vendors for everything from decor to catering. Jennifer was absolutely amazing throughout the planning process, and especially on our wedding day! I will HIGHLY recommend the Sanctuary and Jennifer for your special day and hope it’s as much of a success as ours was 😊

I hosted my mom's 60th birthday/NYE celebration at The Sanctuary! From the day I first spoke with Jennifer about booking, she was absolutely pleasant! The event turned out to be one for the books! When my family and friends walked in, it was like they walked into an oasis and we partied the night away! I couldn't have selected a more beautiful venue to celebrate my mom and usher in 2023! Jennifer and Cooper were stellar event managers and made sure our guest felt welcomed and loved. The location, atmosphere, staff and venue is everything you need for a spectacular event! Thank you Sanctuary, we certainly had a time!

I had my 60th Birthday Party at the Sanctuary! Jennifer did a fantastic job helping me plan my event and creating my vision for the night. The vendors were all great and it was the perfect night!!! I was so impressed with everything from beginning to end!!! I had the “time of my life”!!

The Sanctuary Events was the perfect location for our event. We worked with Jennifer for booking and details and she is extremely professional, helps with every detail, connects vendors, and made our event run smoothly. The space is gorgeous and the surrounding area is great for pictures. The bridal suite is exquisite spacious, and modern. We worked with Cooper for audio visual needs and he did amazing to bring it all together and accommodate our needs.

I cannot say enough good things about Jason and the Sanctuary. We held my husband's celebration of life here and they made it so special. I appreciate everything they did. So kind and caring.

My daughter got married at the Bella Donna Chapel a couple of weeks ago, So we naturally had the reception at the Sanctuary. The reception turned out to be beautiful!!!! We were planning the ceremony and the reception from out of state, with absolutely no knowledge of the area, vendors, etc., so we chose the gold package. During our initial visit touring the Sanctuary we were assured that by choosing the gold package we had very little to do remotely and that nothing would slip through the cracks. I strongly encourage anybody having your reception at the sanctuary to review the contract in minute detail....every word.... to be sure that what you're told at the touring is actually what you're signing up for. I sadly did not. In conversations later the manager of the sanctuary told me that I should have employed her separately to be the coordinator and then she would have been more inclined to help. The mother of the bride flew in from California to review details close to the wedding date and met with the manager of the sanctuary. The manager had 2 laptops that both had dead batteries and she had forgotten her notebook so everything that was discussed and chosen on that day was completely forgotten. Months later we got emails and reminders asking us what was decided that weekend because she had no access to it. It was very difficult to recall everything that was discussed, so when we arrived on the big day, we had changes which were not appreciated by them. The sanctuary has some amazing vendors that made life so much easier, some not as much. :) a huge shout out to FarmHaus....Glambycassmarie....Tasha with 3eighteenpro....Catieannphotography......all astonishingly amazing!!! Cooper with the Sanctuary was wonderful.....during the event. When it was over we were told we had to take all of the garbage out....up the road....and throw it away ourselves.....the maids of honor were sweeping floors while the father of the bride, Myself (stepmom) and Bride's brothers were cleaning and taking out trash...... Not what I would call a gold package! Bottom line..... This is a beautiful venue and it is extraordinarily convenient to the belladonna chapel. Would I do it again? No. Having to cart garbage around at close to midnight after buying the best package they offer is just not what I consider A great end to a Very expensive very emotional evening.

This was the perfect venue for my Daughter graduation party . The place and setting were perfect. Jennifer is so helpful and easy to work with, it was just perfect and stress free place.The food was awesome and everything turned out the way we we expected. My daughter graduation party turned out perfect ,. I'll definitely do it again.

For the best service, professional treatment, great parking, and beautiful setting, The Guitar Sanctuary Music and Events venue is top-notch. Manager, Jennifer Buschman is second to none. She readily offers suggestions as to various table sizes and set-up options based on her many years of experience. Adriatica provides a magical backdrop to your event. The Sanctuary Music and Events is classy, safe, clean and very unique. People will most likely comment about the lovely decor and colors found in all aspects of the venue. Resounding acoustics makes for excellent music. The stage creates an avenue for visibility in case you have presentations or entertainment.

What a treat in McKinney. Right next to the Guitar Sanctuary store is the music venue. It is a two level facility with tables, and chairs to sit. We heard one of our favorite local bands Texas Flood. There is not a bad place in the house to see or hear the stage. Drinks were good and the staff was very friendly.It could be a great venue for all kinds of events I think.

If you're a fan of progressive or different styles of music than the norm, The Sanctuary will probably have That Band. It's a lovely, comfortable place and has damned good sound. I have not eaten there as I tend to go to the Italian place nearby but it remains my very favorite small music venue.

This was the PERFECT venue for our 1920s themed party! Jennifer and Conner were just fantastic to work with. They were able to adjust some of the plans on the fly without our attendance noticing. They really went above and beyond to provide excellent service and did it with top notch professionalism. We will be hosting many more events here!

It's a great location, a nice venue, and has very professional management. It is also competitively priced!

Truly a Hidden piece of art. The acoustics are amazing and there is not a bad seat in the house. The energy is so uplifting and attending events at this venue are not only uplifting but exciting!!! True performers! Every player is excellent because they appear free to be, and the love for the group / family is evident and heart warming. I say uplifting because so many events are held to help people that are just normal people like me and you who have had a bad twist of fate. Not by "workers" but people like Maylee herself,....!! People who CARE! I absolutely adore this place! I've always been skeptical of government due to my ummm.... I did the best I could " early In college days. The video they showed him the words of this though were so incredibly genuine that I was changed forever as far as my view and people. I finally saw myself as somebody who was judging a group of people that have a certain profession... As I tell the world we really are all the same LOL! What a moment of self awareness! What a treat to attend such an amazing show with such a great cause - it was so that the cause was TRUE that it made it make you want to help. Truly a well-designed venue in all aspects. It helps that the Mayor George Fuller and May-lee- Thomas are there so have fun and so down to earth!

This is an excellent place to have a wedding reception after a wedding at Bella Donna Chapel! Jennifer is so helpful and goes way above expectations to make things easy and stress free. The space is perfect because you don't need to add much at all. Just some candles or flowers on the tables and you're ready to go! It's pretty seamless communication between the chapel and The Sanctuary, so it feels cohesive even though they're separate. Highly recommend!

I came here for a wedding reception of a dear friend. It is an absolutely beautiful hall. It was able to seat about 15 tables and room for a dance floor. The food was catered by Rick's Chophouse, so that right there tells you it was superb. The waitstaff was friendly and accommodating to all the guests. It was the perfect venue for a wedding reception.

The Sanctuary is an excellent venue for any event. It's spacious and beautiful. It even has a theatrical stage. The interior gives a Croatian/Italian feel. The owner, Jennifer is very supportive and will work with you to make sure that you have a positive experience. I highly recommend!!

The place is nice on the outside. Inside had potential. Was here to see Tony Macalpine tonight. Upon entering you got hit in the face with the horrible smell of sewer. I thought maybe we had come in close to the restrooms but as we continued thru the event, stench wafted to the front by the stage. It was disgusting smelling. I hope they have this fix after tonight.

Great venue and parking! Good sound in a small room. Recommend the lower level seating to experience the room and atmosphere.

I will never recommend this place as a company or as a reception venue to any one. Please stay away from this place. I planned for this place to be my wedding reception at least in a year in advance. Due to COVID reasons I had to cancel my reception because it hit a little too close to home as someone in my immediate family was positive for COVID. Every other venue or vender I dealt with for my wedding was more than willing to work with us on giving some or even all of our money back. Not only were they not willing to give us a single penny back but the staff was not sorry about it. In fact they were rude about the whole situation. The received thousands of dollars from us for the reception for doing absolutely nothing. Please please please stay away from this place. In their contract they purposely worded it to if anything were to happen and you have to cancel (yes, even a pandemic) they get to keep your money. Edit: we were contacted by the company and asked to take down the reviews in exchange for giving us some of our money back. Well of course being them after telling us this and making us think we were going to get some of our money back we were told that the owner of the company (being the mayor of McKinney) says that he is I quote "not motivated enough to give us any of our money back". Needless to say I of course am putting my reviews back up to show what kind of company these people run.

The show was phenomenal! !! But the "snacks" we're way overpriced and awful. Sad, really. The entertainment and adult beverages are great ! But eat before you attend.
