So good! Have been wanting to try for a while and so impressed with the wings and mozzarella sticks. We of course reheated because I brought it home.

Came here on a Tuesday night, the vibe is laid back but does have a luminous side to it. The pizza was cheesy and very flavorful. The wings were not my favorite as they were fatty. The flavoring of the crust wasn't bad. They have a few options for sauce too. There chicken tenders were made to perfection crispy and juicy. The bar area was nice and clean and the vibe was nothing but good energy due to the bartenders. There mocktails were delicious. Their restrooms were clean and no bad smells and very vibrant. Definitely caters to some good selfies. Parking is limited but there is paid parking. If the lot is full you'll need to find parking along the street. Sandbox Pizza is a nice place for pizza lovers. Would be a great place for a casual chill spot to meet friends or a date night. I recommend giving this place a try.

What a wonderful night did I have at the sandbox! The drinks are STRONG!!!! So beware!!! Get an uber home!! I have to mention the bartender, the gentleman, was very nice and went above and beyond! We tried the tots, the sauce they gave us with it was delicious a little spicy but it went very well with it! The Chicken tenders, really good, a little salty for my taste but the ranch is absolutely delicious! The star of the show was the chicken pesto pizza for me, it's so good!!! Overall, sandbox is a nice place where you can hang out with friends and family! Beware, there's no parking! Be patient.

The pizza and cheese bread was excellent! Would pass on the chicken tenders…. not inedible but not good. Can’t serve frozen tendies to adults in this era of premium chicken options and expect repeat orders

I love their new large location. There's plenty of room for big parties and they have two bars and a pool table in the back. The old place was so small and crowded I never went again, glad to see they've expanded. Their Pizza is really good, lots of cheese! I also got a surprisingly very good margarita cocktail. The decor of the place is tropical beachy hipster... It's pretty and fun. Side note, I'm so stoked they have gluten-free pizza (it wasn't the best crust or maybe it wasn't cooked all the way, but the toppings were so good it didn't matter). They also have vegan cheese, if you must.

Ordered thru a 3rd party app so only speaking to the food but...it's my fave sandwich in all of SD so...*clap clap* ;) ...and I mean...tater tots rule so there's that, too! Highly recommend!

This has definitely become our # 1 wing (garlic parm) and pizza place- the food just brings so much comfort during a very hard time/ year. Always delicious and delivered promptly. The inside vibes are fun. Our most popular Friday night 🍕 night choice!

We came here as tourists and LOVED it! Great pizza, super fast service and they have fun tvs playing too! We would definitely come back here again!

Fantastic salads... adding one to your order is the perfect way to turn pizza and beer into a healthy meal, right? The house salad is so much more than veg thrown in a bowl... They take care to cut apples into julienned strips (which I swear makes them taste better), use high quality blue cheese, and candied nuts (because again, elevating the ingredient beyond just what it is). There are innovative pizzas that will get you coming back to try the rest. Ingredients like Burrata and Hot Honey are calling my name. The dog friendly patio makes up for the difficult parking. But, really, you should expect difficult parking at the beach.

Really great experiences at Sandbox! Awesome place to watch the games, a lot of seating options, so many tv's, and a great vibe! I absolutely love their wings and their sauces. Obsessed with spicy wings so I ordered the Magma wings, and it wasn't crazy spicy at all. My fiancée has a lower spice tolerance and said they weren't really spicy to him either, but had a great flavor. I could've used more of the sauce though :) The Box wings were heavily sauced to perfection. Hot honey burrata pizza was also great-- and surprisingly everyone said that it was spicier than they expected! It was a busy Sunday and our waitress did her best to stop by a few times but there were a few times we were waiting around for her. The food and the mood of the place made up for it!

I had the best experience ever with Taylor! Came for the patriots game and she was the best. Also I miss the house music on Saturday! I used to have a blast with my friends. Please you guys should do it again with live DJs!

Ordered the hughhalfner on uber eats which is half pepperoni and half cheese bread sticks.. order arrived with no marinara... who eats bread sticks with no marinara... come on :(

The customer service was amazing. We ordered from Uber Eats and the order was picked up by someone else. Then the order was cancelled. In spite of the challenges Sandbox Pizza went above and beyond, remaking the entire order at no cost. When I went to pick up the order, I had my 2 toddler aged grandkids in the car in pajamas. I called the restaurant and they were more than happy to bring the order to my car. The food was worth the wait. The pizza tasted great with an exceptional crust. The toppings were flavorful and generous. What could have been a disaster was saved by great service. Thank you!!!

Food was great and our server Taylor was awesome!! Can't wait to come back to SandBox and have another beer! Kids loved the games

This is a family friendly option in PB. Lots of different seating options. They put the padres game on with sound. We got the ranch pizza and mozzarella sticks. Both were very tasty, cooked perfectly and yummy toppings. Minus a star for service. I think our waitress may have had too many tables. After dropping off food, she didn't come back by the table for over 45min, probably longer. It was strange because we were in the middle of the restaurant. We saw her helping others but couldn't get her attention. I ended up having to walk to the service area for our check.

Came here for a Monday Night Football game... yay anyone but the Cowboys! AMBIANCE: Parking: Oof... Pacific Beach. All street parking. Make time to look for parking or better yet, rideshare it. Seating: Plenty of seating! Inside or shaded patio seating. You have options, great for groups or fewer. Vibes: Welcome to Pacific Beach! It's a pretty busy area from good eats, eventful bar hopping spots, or the beach. The place itself is eventful in in itself from the events they host to the arcade/skeeball machines they got! Great place to enjoy a game or just enjoy good bar food. FOOD: Smash or Pass (Recommend) If you're looking for something sweet and refreshing then get this. Pleasant sweet flavors of the elderflower and strawberry with a nice wake up from the mint. Buffalo (Recommend) Best Wings!?!? YES... I do believe in the hype. Lovely aesthetics, mild saucy kick, a crispy bite, then finally greeted with juicy meat. Definitely coming back to try out more of their flavors. Treehugger (Recommend) A lovely medley of all enjoyable vegetarian flavors from mushrooms, olives, and green onions. I think what makes this stand out was their pizza. Buttermilk (Recommend) Smoooth and creamy topped with some bacon and chicken. Delicious! CUSTOMER SERVICE: Great! Servers were friendly and timely with our order. TL; DR OVERALL: 4.5 Stars. Delicious food, creative menu, and reasonable prices. Do I see myself coming back here. Yes! Whether it's recommending a friend for local SD flavors or the foodie in me wanting more while catching a game. For you wing or pizza fanatics, this is your spot! Wonderful place to take in a game or just hang out with friends. They have worked so hard on the environment! From tabletop games to live music. Their pizzas are piled high with toppings and their wings are cooked to perfection. I love that this place had a back room and many cozy booths! Katelyn is an amazing bartender with a welcoming smile!! She works so fast and with all that drink making has arms of steel...work out of champions

Sandbox is a really cool spot for pizza in Pacific Beach. They have plenty of tv's to watch games, a pool table, good music and vibes to just eat, drink, and chill! There is a lot of indoor and outdoor seating - which means it's a doggo friendly restaurant :). I had the supreme pizza and wedge salad, and it was delicious. I'll definitely be back to try some of their other dishes!

Came to San Diego for a Red Sox weekend and stayed longer. This a Pacific Beach sports bar. And a Boston Sports bar. Bartender Charlee could not have been nicer! Half price wings and wine on Wednesdays?! Sign me up for that. Open air on the beach. Home run sports bar!

Stumbled across this awesome bar while in the area. Cheeto was very friendly and provided great service. The pizza was excellent the salad was a deliciously surprising addition. Will definitely recommend and will definitely come back when in town.

Ordered takeout. Pizza was delicious and fresh. Perfectly cooked. Added salad and it was a hit even with the veggie hater. Delivery was great.

Sandbox is truly a staple of Pacific Beach! Kelly was my bartender and is an absolute GEM She made the best recommendations, gave quick service, and was so personable! I ordered the box sauce wings, tenders, and some hazy IPA's. Absolutely obsessed with the box sauce!! 10/10 recommend coming to Sandbox if you're craving pizza or wings; they have such unique flavor options and they never disappoint. The vibe is always immaculate here!

I have really liked this place going in person. The trivia nights are fun. In person I liked the pizza & their ranch is delicious. The server was kinda rude but at least the food and drinks were good. However the three times I have ordered from DoorDash, it was terrible. So I would not recommend delivery. It has always come cold and we don't live that far away (15 mins). What really bothered me is that the last order was completely incorrect. They put the hot Cheetos on the incorrect side. We triple checked this. There was no bacon as ordered however there was chicken instead. Sucks because I do not eat chicken therefore did not eat any pizza. And no I was not personally comfortable picking it off. I don't eat it for religious purposes so picking it off does not suffice. Unfortunately DoorDash only refunded us for the one topping error ($9) even though I couldn't eat the entire pizza which was $40. It also would have been impossible to pick off all the hot Cheeto dust lol. Additionally, my partner ordered extra saucy wings. They came very dry. I hope they can follow orders better, though I won't be attempting to again.

I reviewed them years ago. They still have the best pizzas in SD. Sausage bacon is our favorite. They have a new finger food menu. Great Chicken wings Tater tots Chicken tenders Good Mozzarella sticks Potato wedges They redid their back area. It's nice. A good place for a party.

I came here to try the food and this place has a nice beach vibe! There are plenty of TVs to also catch the game! The buffalo chicken pizza was my favorite. I also loved the wings, so many good options for the sauces. The drinks were also pretty good and service was great!

How is no one talking about their cookies? Literally the best chocolate chip cookie ever. They're consistent every time and so delicious. Is this a family recipe? Is this a Sandbox trade secret? lol we'll literally order JUST cookies sometimes. They usually arrive warm and like they were freshly baked. Whoever makes them, we just want you to know we love them! Shoutout to you!!

Great bar and pizza place in PB. Friendly service and all around great place for a drink and a bite. Love their wings and ultra thin pepperoni pizza!

Delicious food and fast service- we had our order delivered and it was great. They delivered directly to the hotel

The pizza was good. Thin crust and saucy. We tried their mozzarella sticks which were so cheesy as well as their breadsticks. Their marina was so good it was thick and flavorful. They have a back heated patio which I enjoyed with lots of seating for big groups. They even have a lopsided pool table you can enjoy. There are plenty of TV's to watch the games on. The only bad thing was the warm beers I received and I believe the bartender stated it was a malfunction with the taps. Regardless angel was so nice and offered to serve me another one. Workers were so attentive and nice. Would come back here again. Parking is only street parking. They were checking id's at the door.

Went here on a Saturday afternoon and it was such a nice experience! The server was super friendly, the prices for food were good as they had some specials, and the ambiance was nice and lively but also calm. Had the wings and potato wedges and they were so good! No complaints about anything.

Average. Pretty expensive for very sub par pizza. If the price aligned with the quality this would be a better spot. I'd recommend Scuderie for authentic Italian pizza that's the same price but higher quality.

We were in the area on Saturday and a friend had recommended this location for good pizza, we are so glad they did. The ambiance, service, and location was all A+ but most importantly were the pies. We got one large pizza with half of the pickle pie, and the other half was the buttermilk pie. I haven't had a pizza this good in awhile, so it was such a great treat after a long day. I will definitely add this as a food option whenever visiting San Diego in the future. Thank you Sandbox Pizza!

Had the best vacation! And Kalli at Sandbox Pizza made it even better! She recommended the new house salad with box wings! Service was amazing- drinks and food came out quickly and hot!

Cheryl was absolutely great! She was very attentive and helpful throughout my group's entire time at Sandbox.

Honestly, this place doesn't look like much from the outside. But once you're inside it's fairly nice and big. They even have more seating in the back with a pool table and I do believe more games. This place is also great to catch football games, keep in mind though..this is a Patriots fan base bar. (yuck. Haha Go Chargers) Their pizza and drinks are delicious. Don't skip out on the pizza. The dough is perfectly puffy and soft. Definitely worth checking out.

Great pizza, great wings, trivia night on Thursday is always a must. The managers Eric and Eddy always take good care of us. Will be returning again and again.

One of the best pizzas in town, great thin crust and hand tossed dough. Love it! We had our food delivered after a long day of traveling so I couldn't tell you how the restaurant was/is but I can tell you that the delivery was right on time and the service was great.

The ambiance anis decor was really nice. We went to grab drinks at night, however, the drinks were mediocre and over priced. Additionally, we were charged a 3% credit card service fee even for paying with cash :/

Overall maybe a decent place but the fact is we asked if we could do 1/2 and 1/2 on our $20 pizza and were charged $10 for the courtesy without being told ahead of time... that leaves us feeling misled and ripped off. Bad vibe! At the very least, tell the customer when you plan to add a $10 up charge for something most pizza places do for free! Ugh.

The girls here that take care of us for football Sunday are 10/10 and so so persistent. We typically catch patriots games here and can rely on friendly, courteous, and top service. They never miss a beat, they are friendly to our other games on should it not affect any patriots fans. As a non patriots fan, the service (Kendall?) provides is what brings me back!

Gr8 place to shoot some free pool and drink some beers while catching a game. Bartenders are chill, cool, nice people. Pizza was good, I wanna try other items if I ever drag myself away from the pool table.

We had had a pizza and wings. The box sauce was really good. I highly enjoyed it. I do wish that they offered a size in between small and large for pizza because we were in a hotel and couldn't take leftovers but definitely wanted something bigger than the small. I'm definitely not used to the being waited on in a pizza place. But it was a nice place and the server was really nice.

On a slow Sunday evening we decided to get a pizza. We decided to go to Sandbox because of the location to Mister Frostie. We ordered the Hawaiian on thin crust. It was very disappointing the amount of ham, bacon and pineapple. Usually the ratio of ingredients to crust is a winner for us ($30.00). This was a to go order and unfortunately we did not check the box before we left. Shame on us!!! Unfortunately we won't be recommending Sand Box. * The hostess that greated us and retrieved our order was the only thing good of our take out order.

Really great pizza! The crust was crispy, the sauce had great flavor, and the service was fast and friendly. Will definitely come back soon!

You're not coming here for wood fired fancy pizza, you're coming here to make your childhood pizza dreams come true. Came here for the first time to catch a Pats game, (which fun fact they open early on game days) and am so glad we did. We love Tipsy Crow for the Pats nation loyalty, but if you don't like being in a darker pub at 10am, then Sandbox (same owners) is the place to be. Great spacious bar/restaurant, TONS of seating and TVs, and both front and back yard patios. Most bars that are sports-oriented don't prioritize cocktails or food, but Sandbox is different - they have cocktail and food menus and everything appears well made and not just your typical well drinks or "wannabe" overly sweet cocktails. I enjoyed my Aperol spritz and then the beer selection. Great game day specials too with beer and champagne. I absolutely loved the pizza - I'm pretty basic with my pepperoni but husband's Buffalo chicken pie was well done. No overcooked chicken and a nice white sauce drizzled on top. The dough was soft but crispy, salty cheese, just enough sauce, came out piping hot, they nailed it. Sometimes I question myself - like how are so many of my reviews 5 stars, but I also seek out good experiences based on other reviews so maybe it's not that crazy. Plus, gotta tell it like it is - we enjoyed our time at Sandbox and highly recommend for pizza and a good game day ambiance!

The pizza was burnt. It was hard and chewy. The worst pizza I've have in PB. Never again. Yuk. I just wanted a good slice of pizza
