Great local sub shop! Love the Turk & Brie. Fun place to visit and delicious subs! Lots of variety in flavor and texture on the menu. It’s always an enjoyable experience, especially with outdoor seating in the warmer months.

Waited over 30 minutes for our food with little acknowledgment or urgency from staff. When I finally asked, I was given a half-hearted apology blaming a POS system issue, as if that excuses the wait—especially with young kids in tow. Then came the $14 grilled chicken sub. Bland, skimpy, and honestly laughable in portion—barely 6 inches with hardly any meat. Take a look at the picture—does that look like a $14 sandwich? I called the store to ask for a refund just for the sandwich, but was met with defensiveness from a man named Moe who challenged my complaint instead of listening. Was told refunded the sandwich but that was a lie, no refund as of yet. Taste aside, this was simply poor value and poor service. Super suspicious how the review ratings are where they are, just no way.Won’t be returning.

We are from NJ and my husband wanted "A SUB" for lunch. Googled Deli's/Sandwich shops near The Hilton in Mclean Tysons Corner and this location was on the list of the 10 best. Very busy Sandwich shop! We arrived just before 12 and since my husband is on crutches due to a very bad back, he grabbed a table outside while I went in to order....within a few minutes, there was a line out the door! Sandwiches were made quickly (what a system they have there!) and were plentiful and very tasty....HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I popped in 1st time while they were busy. Unfamiliar with the menu, I ordered a warm mushroom sandwich which was generously portioned for the price but fell flat in flavor, to me. There are other items I’d love to try upon returning. The staff was busy but accommodating and kind. The atmosphere was great. I’m an older mom but this reminds me of the venues I’d meet friends at when I was younger and single. It’s got an upbeat artist vibe.

The food here is delicious and they have veggie options! I've been here a few times with my daughter and I've been stalling to review because I don't want others coming to my favorite lunch spot! Sorry, not sorry. Today I had the vitamin c banh mi (careful, it's got hot peppers!) and my son had the BLT-A and loved it, my daughter had the mozzarella sticks from the kids menu and we shared some tator tots. And I had a Raised by Wolves amber lager which was super tasty. The food here is great and the staff is excellent. Go here. (But don't cause I don't wanna share.)

Our favorite sandwiches in NoVA! Their sandwiches are delicious and always stuffed— our favorites are their chipotle chicken sandwich, Italian, and chicken parm. Their chicken salad and tuna salad sandwiches are amazing too. Highly recommend putting in a mobile order or going as soon as they open because the line can get pretty long, especially around lunch time on the weekends.

Nothing to write home about. This shop specializes in bland tasting subs and mediocre customer service.

Bare-bones "atmosphere" but no complaints, it was clean and efficient. Outdoor seating available, also some inside tables, stools and small counter at front window. Street parking, limited parking in back. Sandwiches were so good, excellent menu, want to go back again! Beer and beverages available. Service was great, well-run operation.

Yummy! This is tucked into Church Street, and I have been recently been trying to try Vienna spots more. The Sandwich Shop boasts a lot of offerings, and has hot and cold sandwiches. They're made to order and have indoor + outdoor seating. My boyfriend and I were really craving sandwiches one day, so we decided to order some sandwiches and check this place out! My boyfriend ordered the chicken pesto and I ordered the Turkey and Brie. The bread was warm and had the nice crust, and boy were these filling! The Turk and Brie was super tasty, but it was a lot of arugula inside. I would have removed maybe about 20% of the arugula for it to be optimal for me. The service was quick as well, I ordered online for a super fast pickup and there was a pick up table for easy access. There's a good amount of staff ready to help as well. Come check it out!

This is a great sandwich place in the DMV area, and I have been here many times. This time around, I got the banh mi sandwich, and it is so good. The pickled vegetables are great, and pair nicely with the pork. The bread that they use is also very good, and has great texture. The sandwich is very tasty and is a good amount of food for its price. The only complaint I have is that sometimes there isn't enough sauce in the sandwich. I also got the tater tots which are pretty good. I have also gotten the loaded tater tots before, and they are really good. I will definitely be back in the future!

First time here and it was packed with customers, which is a good sign. The inside was lacking some decor to lift up the energy of the all black walls with nothing on them. No menu to look at while in line is a negative. When you're this busy who cares right? Ordered a steak n cheese. Sadly the bread was the star of the show here. Lightly toasted but still soft. The meat n onions were bland as can be, no salt, barely any cheese or meat on it for $14. As a result it was on the dryer side=midgrade sandwich. Really wanted to like it so I can come back to try other offerings. Another one and done spot.

Mediocre. I should've listened to the reviews but wanted to try it for myself. I got the steak & cheese and it wasn't what I was expecting. The lemon mayo they put in the sandwich is a nice cleanser palette but also a bit weird for the sandwich -- can't decide if I like it or not. Overall, wouldn't get it again. Look elsewhere.

We picked up sandwiches and headed to great falls for a picnic. I love my Vitamin C Bahn Mi and my friend loved the Caprese. Can't wait to go back!

FOOD We visited on a Friday afternoon and ordered a steak + cheese sandwich and a BLT-A. The steak + cheese was savory and meshed well with the onions and cheese, but the citrus(?)-flavored coating on the roll made it a little less enjoyable. The BLT-A, on the other hand, was classic. The bacon was crunchy, the mayo not overwhelming, the avocado a creamy contrast to the bacon, and the tomato and lettuce was refreshing. DRINKS An array of refrigerated cream sodas, juices, and milk are available next to the counter. SERVICE The staff are kind and friendly! They messed up our order (gave us an entirely different sandwich) and gave us the extra and our original order without charge. AMBIANCE There is ample seating available inside the store, and outdoor seating under umbrellas are also available outside. PARKING A parking lot is available on the left side of the block, but street parking is also available at a limited capacity.

Wow - no wonder this place was packed on a weekend, it's that good. I got there at the peak Saturday afternoon rush time, but the crew kept the line moving. A bit of a delay getting the food cause of the volume of orders coming in, but no big deal. Sandwiches were. great and enough leftover for another meal. I'll be back next time I'm in Vienna.

Hmmm...yeah, this is a tough one. I am a big sandwich/sub fan and this goes back to my days in NYC where the local deli made money heros so I try to hit up as many sub/sandwich shops as I can. The Sandwich Shop gets awesome reviews and when you go there you see a legit looking sub shop with chips, sodas, and tons of satsified looking customers with rows of paper bags for take out orders. Must be great right? As much as I'd like to say "hell yeah" I just can't do it. It isn't bad by any stretch but the sandwiches are just OK IMHO. And this isn't after one visit...I've been there probably half dozen times since they opened b/c of the great reviewd and positive vibe but each time I go I leave a little disappointed. Which sandwiches you ask? That goes for the Roasted Pork and Broccollini, the Chicken Parm, the Cubano and others. They are just okay but I've had way better at other places. In addition, I can't get over that they serve Boars Head turkey, ham, etc. I have to say that the best sandwich shops I've been to bake their own turkey, ham, roast beef, etc. That makes a huge difference...especially since I can go down to Giant and buy my own Boars Head meat there. Anyway, I will give them a solid 3.5 but can't get to 4 stars. I'd say Nozzo Pazzo down the street is a better bet comparatively speaking. I wish The Sandwich Shop the best...I'm sure my single review won't make a big difference but felt compelled to share...

Service was fast and efficient. We came here for a quick lunch and luckily the line wasn't too long. The sandwiches were delicious, fluffy, and had a perfect balance of bread + meat + veggies. My favorite was the chicken pesto sandwich.

I don't even like sandwiches...but this little family-owned business is currently my hyperfixation meal because everything is so delicious, so unique, and so high quality. Who needs an Ambien when you can dig into a cheesy, toasty, chicken parm sandwich and a side of cheesy, bacon, tater tots? I promise you, you will have the best post lunch nap of your life. I recently branched out to try a new item -- their roast pork, provolone, and broccolini sandwich and I have to say it's just as good, if not better as the famous Dinic sandwich in Philly! My husband is also a huge fan of their Cubano and Korean bbq handheld as well. Kids love the cheesy bacon tater tots and can probably eat it as a meal on their own. If you can snag an outdoor table you are in for a treat. The patio is great for people watching and reminds me of a little small town shop that you would find on a CW show.

I love a good sandwich for lunch, but husband usually doesn't. He saw an IG reel for this shop and decided we should check it out. So happy he saw that reel, this place is so good!!! We usually just order online and pick up. I'm always tempted to try something new, but I always stick to the same thing. I know terrible, but it's because we don't come often so when we do, I want what I love! The Turk and Brie. Wow. Perfect balance between salty and sweet. The ciabatta is always so soft yet crunchy on the edges. There's so much turkey, which I appreciate, very filling. The fig jam and brie is my favorite combination, they taste so good together! One of my favorite sandwiches, ever. Check them out when you want a sandwich!

How and why did it take us so long to try this place?! I really enjoyed my steak and cheese here and craving it as I am typing up this review. We went on a busy Saturday lunch time but was able to snag a table outside as we had our dog with us. Ordering was quick and easy and we got our sandwiches shortly after. I can see why this spot is a local favorite! Definitely will be back to try more items!

This place is great. All the sandwiches Ive had were filling, flavorful and texture-y. I've been here so many times. Every time around lunch, it is full of customers eating inside and out in the front patio area. The service is pretty quick as well- must be because of all those workers! My favorites are The Caprese and Bahn Mi sandwiches. Full of flavor and texture! I'm always surprised by an ingredient that I don't typically expect in these sandwiches. 100% recommend for a delicious lunch!

The food here is so good that my husband and I ate here two days in a row. The sandwich shop is small, but has a few tables inside and outside for patrons to dine in. Food is excellent and is made to order. Our favorites are the London broil and the spicy chicken chipotle sandwiches. Can't wait to dine here again (and again)!

The Sandwich Shop never misses. I've tried a few different sandwiches and they've all been great - flavorful and very fresh. I also appreciate that the bread isn't really hard to bite into. My current favorites are the Club and the Chicken + Cheddar. One sandwich is packed with ingredients and makes for quite a filling meal. I think the quality and quantity are worth the price. Like the rest of Vienna, there's not a ton of parking here. I've also only done takeout/pickup and it's been pretty fast. I love a good gourmet sandwich and I don't feel like there are many similar places in Nova. I definitely recommend coming here and consider it one of my top food places in Nova!

I tried the shop for the 1st time today as I was craving a roast pork sammy! And my friend wanted a rueben so I trekked out to pick up lunch. I havent had a good roast pork sandwich since I lived in Philly. This one I had high hopes for sadly it was filled with nothing but broccoli rabe stems, some even too hard to chew. :( Wasted money sadly.

I've gone past this place before and am I glad I finally gave this place a try. They have a variety of cold and hot sandwiches. I tried out the spicy chipotle chicken sandwich which was both filling and delicious. It wasn't spicy but the chipotle mayo gives it a ton of flavor. The place can get pretty busy but they crank out the sandwiches pretty fast.

Fast service and delicious sandwiches! For my first time there, I ordered the pork and broccolini sandwich. The pork was tender, the roll was pleasantly crispy, and the sandwich really hit the spot on a rainy, dreary day. I was so excited to eat that I forgot to snap a picture for this review! I'm looking forward to going back and trying more of their wide selection of sandwiches!

Fast, friendly service. Small indoor and outdoor seating area, a nice place to stop for a quick bite. The sandwich was quite delicious and enjoyable. Overall a great experience.

The staff is very friendly. We came here for lunch on our way back from DC. Ordered 4 sandwiches and two bags of chips totaling ~50 which was reasonably priced. Food was ready in less than 10 mins and tasted great. No issues and we would definitely come back again. It's also close to other boutique shops. Great place for a sandwich. 5

We ordered the pork/broccolini/provolone and the chicken pesto and wow! Even the takeaway travels really well. How is it that restaurants get broccolini right and when I cook it, it's bitter?? :) I counted 12 people in service at 12 noon which shows me they care about peak crowds. They were doing a very brisk takout/doordash type biz along with all of the tables filled. Very efficient, obviously. I would make 2 changes if I had a wish. First, this place is very sterile and cold. I'd love to see it warmed up a little with booths and nice lighting and maybe even something to block the cold coming in. And second, more soups. I would love a non-chain to offer some great soup options in the winter. I'd be there more often - or at least order take out more often!

Awesome spot! Every sandwich has been delicious for us but to name a couple we always order is the London broil and the Italian sandwich. The London broil has a horseradish sauce which works really well with the beef and slightly bitter arugula. The Italian is perfectly executed with a great meat to bread ratio and packed with flavors and some hot peppers. You can tell whoever put these sandwiches together, really likes sandwiches and we appreciate them! Definitely check this place out! Order online if you want to pick it up quickly.

We visited the sandwich shop for a late lunch and fell in love with the place!! The sandwiches were amazing and they have such a great selection on their menu. We particularly enjoyed the chipotle chicken sandwich. We were able to call in our order for pickup and it was ready within 10 mins. The service was fast and the interior had plenty of seating and was very clean. Can't wait to come back and try their KBBQ sandwich!

Got takeout here with some friends. Overall, thought it was a decent sandwich. Bread was a little dense and dry, but the actual meat was pretty tasty. Tater tots were pretty standard, which is to say, yummy, but nothing out of the ordinary. Not pictured, but we also got fries and cheese curds to share. Both were really good. Fries are more on that battered crispy side and the cheese curds actually has a little kick to it. Would definitely order those again as a side over the tots. Overall, solid lunch spot. Would probably try something other than the reuben next time, but the fries and cheese curds were great!

The sandwiches are pretty good. Their best ones are Tuna Salad and Egg Salad. These two are also good because they don't use BOARS'S HEAD processed meat/cheese that are the key ingredients of other The Sandwich Shop sandwiches. Boar's Head is from Jarrett, Virginia and the plant has finally been shut down for making listeria-laced sandwich products that kill people. Yes, people have died eating Boar's Head. Sandwich Shop needs to update their sandwich vendors and their website. Meanwhile, the Tuna Salad might not kill you.

The food was really good! The vitamin c banh mi hit the spot!! The caprese sandwich was good too! But of the two I would recommend the banhi mi!! The service was super fast and the people who worked there were so friendly! Had a great convo with the cashier! The ambiance was casual fast restaraunt with the option of indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of seats! It's in a cute shopping complex with several other stores! Parking was easy to find in daytime but I would imagine it being difficult in the evenings due to limited spaces.

Amazing!!!!! So many sandwich options it's so hard to choose. Love the Philly steak and tuna fish or chicken salad sandwich are great too. They are busy but the service was quick. I also order online which is convenient. The kids menu is available, too. Couple seating options inside and some tables outside too. Parking available along the street or in the back lot. We had no idea this place was such a hype! We meant to go to Maple Ave Restaurant only to find it closed for a private event. Turned a corner and found this place. The hot sandwiches are $9s and SO worth it. I got a London Broil and I'm not kidding...nor even a sandwich person but from the bread to horse radish sauce and the tenderness of the broil and it's juiciness...I ate down to a morsel. Beat sandwich deli in NoVA! Plus they have cider and brew selection, great porch space and the weathered tables and chairs in the restaurant are the vibes!

What a wonderful sandwich shop the aptly named The Sandwich Shop turned out to be! My parents did not want to eat "festival food" when we were nearby for Viva Vienna,so of course I used Yelp to find a place to please all (from age 14 months to 60s). This place was hopping and it was around 2pm on a Sunday, although it was festival weekend. There's a good bit of seating outside as well as a counter-style area and tables inside. From what I saw they pack all orders, whether to-go or dine in, in brown bags making it easy to take leftovers home. The overall menu is diverse and nearly everything sounds delicious! I ordered the London Broil-super fresh, loved the lean meat too. The Ciabatta was amazing as well. We also had a kids grilled cheese, a kids PBJ (the woman next to us made several comments about how she should have ordered that), a ham and cheese, and a meatball. Everyone loved their meals and continued eating to the point of beyond full (I can speak for the adults at least). It's very kid-friendly and they have high chairs you can use inside or outside. Service at the counter was very patient with my parents, more so than I typically am. I would definitely return here again! Best sandwich I've had in a long time!

I would give 3.5 stars if half stars were an option, but it isn't so here we are. I walked in on a Friday after and ordered the Italian cold cut sub. My food was ready in less than 5 minutes and I took it to go. The good: the meat and bread were super fresh. Quality was on point. The Bad: the onions were sliced quite thick. I really love onions and it was just not the right size for a sandwich. For the price of the sun I would have expected more meat and or cheese. The ugly: there isn't any, but I had to finish the thought

The Sandwich Shop is the best. The chicken Salad with lettuce tomato and bacon is the best on the brioche roll can't beat it!!! My husband loved the meatball sandwich. Was in the area for work and found this nice little sandwich shop on Yelp. Glad I did! It had great reviews, and lived up to the expectations. I got the chicken supreme and was easily able to make substitutions (it was great with chipotle mayo). The ciabatta bread was great, and everything tasted fresh including the sliced avocado. Generous portion of chicken, I was pretty full after this $14 meal which is rare. The fries were crispy and had ideal thickness/texture for my preference but the flavor was pretty average. Food came out fast, staff was friendly and seemed like a well-oiled machine. I'd come back if I'm in Reston again!

I was in town for a conference and decided to have lunch here and it was really good. The service was fast and the food was delicious too. I highly suggest you stop in here if you want a high quality lunch at a nice place downtown and good service too. Its really a nice spot.

Their London broil is amazing and so is their banh mi sandwich! I love the location and it's sandwiched between other lovely nearby cafe and quick eats spots.

I have been looking for a go-to sandwich shop and finally found it! I got the KBBQ and my mom got the mushroom Swiss sandwich. The bread is fresh and the fillings were great. There is a patio to eat outside and inside they have beer on tap. It's located in a cute part of Vienna where you could walk around after. Will be visiting again!

Some of the best sandwiches I've had in NOVA! They offer a large variety of sandwiches - with options for many different kinds of eaters. Located at the corner of a strip in Vienna, there's plenty of street parking available around the area (though it might be difficult to find parking during the weekends or busy meal hours). There's bags of chips lined on the wall when you enter, right by the register. If you order online, they let you choose whichever flavors as they're priced the same. We got the Italian sandwich and the Chipotle Chicken sandwich. Italian is my usual go-to at any sandwich spot, but I opted for the Chipotle Chicken as that's also one of my favorite flavor combos and have yet to have it in sandwich form. Toasty and warm, the flavor combination was delicious and left me wanting more! The Italian was also yummy, but honestly nothing too out of the ordinary. You can customize your sandwiches by adding or removing ingredients (at least, for mobile ordering you can). Can't wait to come back and try different sandwiches and revisit the Chipotle Chicken!

Very casual; there is limited seating inside, but plenty outside. Rapid, friendly service. Drinks are canned/bottled only. The KBBQ was wonderful; fresh (mild) kimchi, huge portion. Cheese curds are just spicy enough. Butternut squash soup was a little too sweet - almost like a dessert. Still great!

Solid sandwich spot in Vienna. Weekday lunch and weekends, expect a line. Sandwiches are overall good but some could use a better ratio of sauce to content. Fries are always hot, fresh, and crispy. both indoor and outdoor seating available. Parking is street and also overflow available behind the building.

The food was amazing and the service was very friendly and welcoming. I will becoming back for sure. I had a steak and cheese sub which may very well be one of the tastiest I have ever had. The same goes for the cubano sandwich. Both were so incredibly juicy and flavorful. I also got the spicy cheese curds as I am a sucker for cheese curds. Definitely not lying when they were listed as spicy, while not overpowering they certainly delivered a pleasant kick and give you a little bit of a burn. All in all a truly amazing experience.

First off, the parking situation is awful so just be forewarned to come early for a spot! Not a ton of seating either but the rating is based solely on food & service. All the sandwiches and sides were delicious. I ordered the kbbq and I loved the flavor. It was basically a bulgogi cheese steak sandwich - lots of meat! I loved the pickled that was mixed with it. Everyone else loved their sandwiches too. We really enjoyed the cheese and bacon tots. There was a lot of crispy bacon on top, which I find is usually scarce at other places. Although the line could get long, the service was quick and we didn't have to wait too long after we ordered our food to receive it. I have my eyes on many other items so I can't wait to try this place again!

I visited for dinner recently after seeing this spot on Instagram. We ordered the Italian, spicy chipotle chicken, tater tots and a scoop of chicken salad on the side. The food was pretty good, especially the spicy chipotle chicken sandwich. It definitely had a kick but I love spicy food. I also liked the fact I could get a side that was not chips and I'm a big chicken salad fan. I do wish the chicken salad had a little more mayo because it was a little dry so next time I'll ask for extra mayo. The Italian was also good but I wish it had more dressing. They did have condiments up front but no mayo but they were very busy when I went (Friday night) so I didn't want to bother them over a little mayo. Also, the tater tots were a little crispy which I didn't mind but my dad thought they were overdone (still tasty though). Overall, our food + 2 drinks was about $38 which I think is a little expensive for sandwiches but the variety made of the menu it worth it. They also have a large selection of chips and teas. Parking is on the Street and we had no trouble, luckily. I think there is a lot down the street as well. I'd still recommend trying this spot and I will be back for that chipotle chicken sandwich!

The Blt here is extremely good and the food always comes out in a very fast amount of time. I also think that it kind of has a fun vibe with a darker kind of lighting. I also think that the service is amazing because everything runs extremely smooth with the takeout system

This is my typical lunch spot on days in office at work. Definitely the best place to get sandwiches around the area. Every time I go I try a different sandwich so this is probably my 5th or 6th time there. In the past we've order in store, sat and waited, then left. More recently we've been ordering online ahead of time which has turned out to be great as they always have the sandwiches ready when we arrive. Overall, the best option for sandwiches in Vienna in my opinion. Prices are also under $10. Never had any complaints here.

The Vitamin C Banh Mi is delicious!!! This place is top notch for amazing sandwiches! My wife always gets the Young Turkey sandwich and says it is always amazing! The tater tot's are not to be missed!!!
