The Sandy Cove Hotel

An excellent stay over New Year. The package we had included a great breakfast on each day of our stay, a 7 course tasting menu on New Year's Eve and a 3 course dinner on the days either side. On New Year's Eve the meal was held in "The Venue" location of the hotel, and also included a magician and DJ to welcome in 2026. During our stay we used the spa which was easy to book so it wasn't crowded and the pool, seats, sauna and steam room were great. We also made the walk down to the private beach. The steps down to the beach were really good, making the walk safe and as easy as a descent of this height could be! We opted for a sea view room and this had a great outlook across the bay, and the stand alone bath in the room also had a great view out of the window (photo below). Overall an excellent New Year package in a great location with really friendly staff, excellent food and superb entertainment. Thank you!

My elder son had his wedding service here on November 5th. Our wedding party had the most amazing experience for the 3 days we spent in this fantastic facility. From the minute we arrived to the minute we departed everything went as smoothly as anticipated, thanks to the professionalism of all those involved. The quality of every aspect was spot on. The service at the reception was very welcoming and we appreciated that for one of the staff it was here first week in the role and she coped admirably. The food through out the days was excellent! The wedding meal was perfect, the beef was cooked to perfection and so tasty! The breakfast options were just right, providing a good range of options. The pre wedding meal was also top notch - whilst there was a range of meals served, everyone in the party commented on how much they enjoyed the meal, and from a personal perspective the salmon was delicious! The venue itself was excellent, accommodating various room requirements such as singles, couples and families. The views from the hotel overlooking the sea are stunning. It was made even more impressive when we were treated to the fireworks display at Combe Martin. Thank you all for a great time.

We recently had our wedding at Sandy Cove Hotel, and we honestly couldn’t have wished for a more perfect venue or a better team to look after us. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond for us, nothing was ever too much trouble. Sharna, Deb, Nadine, Sammy and the entire Sandy Cove team were warm, organised, and genuinely invested in making our day special. Their communication, care, and attention to detail meant we never had to worry about a thing. We truly felt supported every step of the way. The venue itself is breathtaking. The views, the ceremony space, the atmosphere, everything felt magical. Our guests were blown away, and we’ve had so many lovely comments about how beautiful the setting was and how smoothly the day ran. The food, the service, the accommodation, and the overall experience were exceptional. We felt completely relaxed and able to enjoy every moment knowing the team had everything under control. It was a day we will never forget, and Sandy Cove played a huge part in that. Thank you for helping create the most unforgettable, joyful, and beautiful wedding day. We couldn’t recommend Sandy Cove highly enough to any couple looking for a truly special venue.

My son and his fiancee were married at this spectacular venue and the whole experience was amazing. The accommodation was great, with a balcony overlooking the sea. The food was excellent in both the restaurant and at the wedding reception itself. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we had 3 fabulous nights to celebrate this great occasion. The logistics of the actual wedding were spot on and the whole day went without any issues. The grounds offer a fantastic view over the channel, and we were fortunate enough with the weather to have the actual wedding ceremony outdoors. We also had a bonus of being able to see the fireworks from Combe Martin on the evening of the wedding. A wonderful event in a wonderful venue. We attended my niece's wedding on the 28 October and the staff were wonderful. My wife is very poorly and they very kindly gave us room No1 so she didn't have to go too far. It's always the little things that count. The entire event was exceptional. The views are to die for. The following morning we had breakfast and that too was excellent. The breakfast staff were lovely too. All in all I cannot recommend Sandy Cove high enough.

All the team at Sandy Cove put a great amount of detail into making sure your stay is as good as it can be. We recently got married at the venue and every element you could think of was thought through with great consideration and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend the hotel and its staff on every level.

Attended as a guest for a wedding, which just as the service was about to start it began to torrential rain and hail. Staff were really quick and helpful the get the guest back up the hill and into the dry. This included elder family member, pushchairs and babies. Such a wonderful view and food.

Lovely place for a family wedding. Great service in a wonderful location. Lovely swimming pool and spa area and great outside facilities (shame about the showers but nothing to dampen the mood). The room we chose had a glorious view. Good EV charging points. The icing on the cake was that the hotel posted me my phone charger and cable when I forgot it at no charge. Thanks very much.
