The Spots Of The Summer, National Edition - The Infatuation

"With six sand volleyball courts and six pickleball courts, The Sandy Pickle is prime real estate for a memorable first date or a way to combine exercise and drinking with a group of friends. The bar’s tart palomas and cold beers make it even better, but the cheeseburgers and hot dogs loaded with sport pepper relish put it over the top." - team infatuation

Didn’t have any drinks, but decided to grab an appetizer after yoga in the evening. Great environment, and great set up, although we spent $5.00 on this basket of fries that fits in my hands and .50 on a half filled ranch. Tasted great! But low rating for the quantity. Should’ve been twice the amount for that cost. We’ll have to come back and try other food another time.

Cool outdoor bar, with food, drinks and games. The night we went they had live music. There is a ⛳️ golf putting course too, or you can play 18 holes on the virtual screen. Staff is very nice. We have visited a few times and always had a great time. For food we've tried the guacamole with taro chips, very good, although it would help if the guacamole was mashed more as the delicate chips break in the dip. The chicken skewers are delicious. My family loved the pizza with barbecue sauce. We ended up playing corn hole and connect four. There is a fire 🔥 pit for cold nights. Love all the options!!! Definitely worth a visit.

Great energy, amazing place to hang with friends and family, and make more friends. You will definitely have a good time here! Come planning to spend couple hours, they have good food as well.

I honestly had such a terrible experience here. The guy taking food orders at the bar was extremely rude the entire time. When we ordered our food and paid, we didn’t leave a tip because he wasn’t helpful at all, and then he makes a snarky, unnecessary comment about how he only makes $10.13 an hour. It felt so unprofessional and uncomfortable. Then, when he brought out our food, he just plopped it down on the table without even acknowledging us or our “thank you.” It felt like we were an inconvenience to him the whole time. I won’t be coming back, and I definitely don’t recommend this place if you expect any kind of basic courtesy or service.

Google
I would use zero stars if possible for The unprofessionalism from the manager, Bobby I just got off the phone with him So the incident Was Saturday, April 4 I had a group of four people who wanted to come in And book from 7 to 10 My group are very big golfers I’ve always told him about my place to come over to use the simulator The one day that they do decide to want to come over It turns out that this place is closed Due to a weather inconvenience, but there’s no sign that states that they’re close to the weather inconvenience when you call them. There was nothing that stated they were closed. No message on the phone. The only way that I figured out that they were closed was by looking on Instagram Their pacific Instagram page.. As if it’s just obvious to do that The reason why I’m upset is because they do have an indoor golfing simulator. I understand Pickleball could be closed, Due to the weather, but if you have a indoor golfing simulator, that should be open It is not just for Pickleball, even though that is Main Event I reached out to the management The person who took my complaint was Man, Bobby, He called me and right off the rip he Just start explaining how it’s losing him money to stay open when his main income is Pickleball And he cannot stay open, just on a maybe reservation He had a very bad attitude. He sounded very irritated. As I was going back-and-forth with him explaining he should have a sign or his landline should Have a closed sign He said, but you found out on Instagram as if it’s just obvious to look on Instagram For information Very bad attitude very bad I can’t say the surface was bad because unfortunately I can’t get service there so I would rather just take my money elsewhere. I honestly wouldn’t spend my money here Especially with the way to management is they do need new management Overall, just a very unnecessary bad experience Those are the emails That were sent back and forward Between me and the manager Bob, this was after I got off the phone with him It really is a shame for such a nice area to have such a bad management. It really is atrocious. I stay in this area pacifically to have good interactions with people because it is the nicest part of Dallas, Texas

Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. By far best venue in the village. Rebecca and Cole run around and make sure everyone are taken care of and have the best experience. Red and Grant also make up the core of bar tenders always stay killing it! If you’ve never been here you should put it on your list to visit especially if you make it to the pool!

Google
The concept of this place is great. However, the volleyball courts are really rough. We hit concrete pretty much any time we dive because the courts were built way too shallow. I’ve spoken to the management about this before, and they’ll add more sand, but that doesn’t solve the issue that they weren’t deep enough to begin with. Everyone who plays here has matching knee scars. Every court is also short on length, and the lines have been breaking lately. It would be beneficial if they redid the volleyball courts in the off season so we stop getting injured.

Good spot. A lot to do. Food and beer prices are reasonable. Would recommend!

Yelp
The Sandy Pickle, the great lawn, and the entire Village walking trail are all amazing. We lived here at The Village years ago when our oldest was just a baby and it brought back all the nostalgia coming back to visit. The upgrade are crazy. Full on resort-style pool, pickleball courts + restaurant and bar, it's all such a fun experience. The food at the Sandy Pickle was actually great for casual bar food. The fried pickles are tasty, the chicken tenders and fries are delish and we enjoyed the queso. I can't remember our servers name but we were able to get service further away from the dining area where we could enjoy the putt putt area. Family Sunday fun!

Yelp
Love the Sandy Pickle! Super fun to rent a court but equally enjoyable for a quick bite or drink. Prices are awesome ($7 for salad + $4 for chicken!) and there's plenty of seating. Food and drinks can be ordered at the bar directly, bartenders are nice and service is quick. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Didn't expect to spend half the day here -- just wanted to walk around a bit -- but it turned into such a fun and relaxed outing. The space feels really well thought-out. You can stroll, sit, play, eat, and it all flows together without any chaos. Grabbed a quick bite near the courts, and everything came out fast and fresh. Fried pickles were surprisingly addictive. We found a spot near the putt putt area and it was perfect -- casual, open-air, and with good energy around. What really made the place click for me was how smoothly everything worked. Whether you're there to play, eat, or just hang out, it doesn't feel like anything's forced. Already thinking about when to come back.

Yelp
Perfect menu of patio/bar food for post-pickleball or any of the athletic activities in the Village Center. Food is very affordable, and service is quick out of the on-site food truck. Cocktails are similarly well-priced and tasty. Well-maintained venue for pickleball any day of the week.

Yelp
Bartender Bri is a very aggressive and rude bartender in person and over the phone. I called to speak with the GM (who was not in at the time) about an issue I had with her and I felt like she wanted to fight me over the phone. She referred to herself as the "AGM" which I find very hard to believe based on her tone/attitude. Drop your ego, girl, you work in the service industry. So not only was she rude and unprofessional in person, it was just as bad over the phone. Not the kind of business I want to give my $$$$

Yelp
Burgers are amazing! Cute beach hut feel. Eat at the bar. Staff is awesome and go putt putt or play virtual golf or play Pickleball or play beach volleyball.

Yelp
Wow! This spot doesn't replace the Roundhouse but it's pretty cool. Family friendly spot with cool drinks, a food truck, beer, and of course pickle ball. We stopped by on opening day (or the day after) and had a blast on a Sunday afternoon. We had a couple of drinks and grabbed some fries, a burger, and some guacamole. Everything was great. The burger was juicy and the fries were crispy! I'd highly recommend for families looking for a spot to hang on a beautiful day!

Yelp
Came here for a first date and had the best time! I'm not great at pickleball but the person I was playing with was very forgiving. The atmosphere was really nice. I'd be happy to go back.

Yelp
A fun place to play sand volleyball and have some delicious food and drinks! I would recommend for a fun outing with friends or family.

Yelp
Love love love pickleball , the brunch bingo was cool too , I'm not a big fan of buffets but theirs was ok, you can still order from the main menu which I liked , I'd come back when I'm in the area

Yelp
Really unreliable. They're supposed to be open at 7am but we went yesterday (12/21) at 7:30am and they were very much closed. During opening week, Villagers were supposed to be able to book free sessions at courts, but the given code wouldn't work and when I emailed and called, no one ever got back to me. The courts are really nice but if we're not able to use them when we should be able to, it's kinda useless.

Yelp
Excellent pickleball spot with above average burgers and fries. Gets a little hectic with the court times and organization but all in all im a big fan.

Yelp
Great facility, friendly staff, clean and modern amenities. They have a great pickleball instructor if you want to take your game up a notch or two
