So...we went here because chilis was full and we should've waited for chilis. The food was subpar with 0% flavor, we had to flag our server down the entire time, our second drink "The Bahama Mama" tasted RANCID! Don't get it cause i think the banana creme liquor was expired. Absolutely awful experience and I would not recommend! I will say I did give points to the green apple martini because it was okay, tasted like a green apple lollipop dipped in liquor if you like that kind of thing. Anyway, my guest got very sick after dining here.

Do not eat here. There are bugs legitimately falling from the ceiling, coming out of the walls. We walked in deciding to give the place a chance despite the reviews, but please believe them. Do NOT eat here. Still expected to pay $30 for the drink, lemonade, and crab cake with flies in it. Waiter placed crab cakes on top of table where bug was crawling.

I have been trying to support Saucey Crab for years and I have to say they have always been inconsistent as far as taste, you never really know what you’re gonna get but they are in the neighborhood when I have a taste for seafood. Today I ordered two seafood bags for me and my daughter and the Cajun sauce was all oil, shrimp and corn was overcooked. I was extremely disappointed and I knew it wouldn’t matter to complain to them, they are never accommodating, I will just take my business elsewhere where and drive a little bit further. I really tried. $80 down the drain.

Pretty good food, we got take-home & ordered one of the Weekend specials (1lb snow crab, 1lb head off shrimp, corn, potatoes and we added Extra potatoes & sausage). A bit pricey for about 80$ but the the sauces, service and the overall quality are very good!! 👍🏽

The quality of the food is not worth it to be honest. The crabs have little meat inside and are old and extremely fishy tasting. Shrimp is over cooked. Upside is the sauce is delicious and so is the customer service! Please improve the quality!!! I’d love to give this place another shot! I’ll give it a couple months. Everywhere has gone down in quality since the pandemic, but don’t have your price so high if the food is mid.

Very delicious food! First time trying this restaurant and my expectations were met. They have a variety of seafood selections and flavors. We also had the lava lava shrimp as an appetizer and was good. But, be prepared to spend some money here!! Kelly out waitress was phenomenal!

I recently visited The Saucy Crab on 95th and Western, and I was really disappointed. We wanted to order crawfish, but the server told us we had to get a bigger plate to add it because they didn’t have enough for a smaller plate, which made no sense. When we asked to split the bigger plate, they refused. The manager was incredibly snobby and wouldn’t even talk to us. In the end, they just said no crawfish just to avoid the real problem. Very disappointing. Overall, a very underwhelming experience. I won’t be returning.

I've been to this restaurant many times and I usually I rave about it and highly recommend it to everyone I know. Literally my go to crab boil spot, I go with my family and friends. I was craving it so bad but was just simply to tired to go out to get it after a long day at work. That was a mistake, my first and last ever uber eats order here. Im guessing because it was an online order they decided to give me the WORST crab boil I ever had in my life. Old hard potatoes,old corn, and the smallest blackest most overcooked crab I've ever seen in my life! complete disappointment and waist of $70.00!

I wanted to like this place but to be honest, I probably won't ever go back again! First, the appetizer chicken wings were HORRIBLE! They were hard as a brick with NO crunch or flavor. The nasty buffalo sauce was basic and there wasn't any blue cheese dressing for dipping! What buffalo wings have you eaten without the blue cheese dressing ! Second, the seafood boil was so ...okay. I had the Thursday special with headless shrimp and snow crab. The sauce is very watery & greasy! No substance! No flavor. Just color. I had the "hot" spice level which really isn't that hot. I so wanted more from this restaurant! It's a 2 out of 5 for me.

I have enjoyed their food for many years but lately I have noticed increased pricing, smaller portions and quality of food not the same. The fried rice is not fried - looks like brown rice instead! Onions chopped too large but the chicken or shrimp diced in tiny portions. The sauce woo pig poo spicy or whatever it's called is nothing but grease! Horrible! The seafood boil bags no longer have eggs added but you can add eggs for an additional dollar per egg ... however you already increased the prices of the bag. No thank. I won't be back.

Perfectly mediocre, and sometimes that all a restaurant need be. We had the perfect platter(woo pig soieee, medium), shrimp cocktail and chicken tenders. The shrimp cocktail is a definite skip, I could tell it had just been quickly thawed. The flavor was lacking in the boil, but there was adequate meat on the crab and crawfish. There was so much shrimp, we got tired of eating it. The sausage used in the boil was *chef's kiss* delicious. The chicken tenders were large, my two year old enjoyed. I also had a cocktail, was a syrupy mess but what it lacked in crispness, it made up for in strength. Service was good, our server was very attentive. The music was a hit, they know who their patrons are. The walls are decorated in the signatures of past guest.

Wow.... Now one thing about it I'm usually pretty chill and really don't complain. First and foremost I noticed they changed the genre of music to rock/pop when they use to play r&b which was weird(majority of the customers are black). When I asked they said "the manager"... today I was sitting at the bar and this young kid made me the worst lemon drop I ever had and I wasn't even done with my food and he handed me my check . I told him I wasn't ready for my check and he just looked at me like he was ready for me to go. It will be a while before I come back because not only was he rude but he also made mediocre drinks .

Seafood is my ultimate love; pair it with butter and garlic and you have created a monster. After work, I was craving a lobster tail and decided to try this little spot. So glad I did; for 16$ you will get one lobster tail, an ear of corn and a red potato. Choose the sauce you want then your heat level. Kind of hard for me to drive home with the smell of fresh garlic and butter in the car. My food was very good and it was fresh and flavorful which paired nicely with my glass of Winter White!

It was my first time here and it was my first time trying crawfish and it was super good. Our server was super nice. I really recommend this place

Pro: average service, has a bar, plays great r&b throwbacks, onion rings with sauce was delicious. Cons: The crab legs tasted over cooked, turns out they were probably old because my husband THREW UP HIS WHOLE MEAL when we got home. My food wasn't hot in temperature, the mussels tasty dirty (a gritty/ powder feel, ppl from south understand) , and if you like spice get the extra hot cause the hot was not it.

My crab was covered with parasites eggs... they aren't harmful of course but very unappealing. They're also not difficult to remove. A little washing off prior to cooking would remove them. I noticed they were also floating around in my sauce.

I went here yesterday and I must say it's not my first time nor my first choice. The reason it was picked is because we were in the area and they serve alcohol. All the fried options taste the same to me. We had the gator bites, shrimp and fries and mozzarella sticks and each tasted just like the next. I had the lb of "jumbo" shrimp which came to the table looking like every other seafood boil in a bag's regular shrimp. That part makes me wonder what the "regular" size shrimp looks like. Small maybe? Well like I said it's not my first choice nor my forth so oh well.

I love some seafood. My friend suggested this spot. It was ok. I feel the food need a little more seasoning. I ordered medium spice but I didn't feel a kick of heat at all. I might give them another try.

Food was great! I can't say the same about the wait staff. There was no one at the hostess stand when we entered. The bartender saw us enter but did not acknowledge our presence he continued wash & putting up glasses. There appeared to be one waitress, she had to take care of each table, which created a longer wait. Also, the music was too loud and it wasn't resturant music, it sounded like a personal playlist which was not necessarily appropriate for the environment/atmosphere. There were tables that were not clean with no patrons sitting there. We had to wait for a table once we were acknowledged. Although, there was one waitress the service was not too bad. I was really impressed with the flavor of the food! I really enjoyed the catfish basket(it was a little salty) but it had a nice batter and it was cooked to perfection(for me) I love catfish, I prefer it over any other fish/poultry/beef/pork. So, for me to say it was good! It was good! Just too much salt. I also had the 1lb. Split King Crab broil, flavors were really good. I had the Cajun flavor and I was impressed, I didn't like the split I felt like the meat was missing! I would have rather took the crab leg apart myself. Overall, the food was good. The service have room for improvement. In my opinion, the establishment will be frequented by a younger crowd with little to no expectations.

Really bad crawfish no spice on the extra hot they seasoned it wrong and it was old.don't recommend

Im NOT a seafood lover BUT I wanted to try it out. I was greeted immediately upon arrival, once we advised this was takeout we were given a menu and the hostess explained how ordering worked. I decided on king crab legs with garlic butter sauce hot, I also threw in sausage, 2 potatoes and 2 corns. The hostess totaled me up (price didn't seem bad), put in my order and 15 minutes later I was bagged up with gloves a bib and wet wipes and happily went on my way. I'm in the neighborhood so when I got home my food was still hot. The crab itself was good and well seasoned, I have just come to learn I'm not a seafood conniseiur. The seasoning in the bag was amazing and had the perfect amount of heat. I would definitely recommend to those that love seafood. I did take off 1 star because the waiting area is tight and pretty close to the eat in diners which can be a little uncomfortable for all.

I took my daughters here for lunch yesterday and we all having been throwing up all day and night. One of my daughters is 34 weeks pregnant and I ended up in the ER with her because she was severely dehydrated from all of the vomiting that the food caused. I believe that they recycle food and reheat it. The back where the restrooms are have a very very foul smell. My oldest daughter ordered a lemon drop and it looked like dirty mop water. She did not take one sip that is how disgusting it looked. The health dept needs to pay them a visit

First impression always matters! When entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a gentlemen at the podium. There he took us to a seat, where I was highly impressed with how spacious the table was. The rack with condiments were located on the wall as opposed to on the table. Tables were clean. Once introduced to our meals, the shrimps were placed plastic bags; we were provided with safety food gloves and bibs. The shrimp was welled seasoned and delicious. Even though all of the food was not consumed, the waitress impressed us. She put gloves on and sealed the bags. I am unaware if other restaurants commit to this practice, but this is the first time I have seen anyone apply this food safety practice.

My go-to seafood spot. The food is always hot and delicious, I never have a problem with my order, and the customer service is superior 10/10! My favorite seafood restaurant!

The last two times I have came here my crab legs has been flavorless and undercook. I came here on 4/10/22 and got the dungeness crab. I can could taste the iodine in it as well as it gave me shellfish poisoning where I had severe stomach pains and diarrhea for two days. I will not be back.

By far the worst seafood restaurant. The drinks were too strong. When asked could they be remade less strong, the manager first refused and told me I also could not get a refund. He stated my friend and I should have said we didn't want them strong. The popcorn shrimp was too salty. I could barely eat it. Me and my friend both got a pound of shrimp with corn and potatoes and hot sauce. The seasoning was not hot, it was not enough garlic in the sauce, and the sauce just had clumps on seasoning sitting in the corner of the bag. Never coming back here again.

Had it for the first time today and one pound of shrimp was literally goo, very squishy and inedible. Very disappointed won't be going back.

Hard pass on the dine-in experience. A party of five at the table orders assorted appetizers, drinks and 5 orders of steamed snow crab. However, no proper metal crab leg cracker utensils are provided. Not even a single set for the entire table. Insane. How is anyone expected to crack crab claws with plastic forks?! We won't be back any time soon. Oh, and please train your staff to make the rounds and ask customers if they would like their beer refills accompanying the crab, not disappear for half an hour. This is not a professional and customer oriented environment. When asked about the utensils we were told that the restaurant is "running low" without any follow up. Do not order crab at this place. You will be disappointed. They should change their name until they figure out how to serve it properly.

This was the first time I've ever experienced a seafood boil. This restaurant definitely provided me with a good experience. The restaurant itself has indoor and outdoor seating. I love the feel of it. It is a lively atmosphere and the staff are very attentive. The food it delicious and definitely worth the cost. I would have enjoyed the boil if they provided a dipping sauce (I.e butter and garlic). They also have a well stocked bar. If you're looking for a good experience with the crab boil, definitely try. You won't be disappointed.

1lb of headless Shrimp, 4 corns, 3 potatoes, and 2 eggs in Lemon Pepper and Garlic Butter Only. 2nd time here but this time the food and sauce was on point ! Hot. Juicy and Delicious.

First of all, I love seafood so I had to try Hot N Juicy Crab! It was sooo good!!!! There was a special on the day I went which included 1 pound of Shrimp, 1 pound of Snow Crab, 2 corn on the cons, and 2 boiled potatoes for $27 which quite honestly was a steal! I also had the Lava Lava Shrimp which was so bomb! I would highly recommend them!

I usually get the house seasoning hot and it's tasty. Service is always fast and efficient ready in 15 minutes. I usually call ahead.

Normally I will review the food and tell about my experience, but the customer service sucks so bad after my 2nd time giving them another chance and a 3rd time visiting I have come to the conclusion that the customer service is not worth the food. There are to many places that offer the same thing.

I went to this place for the first time on Sunday 6/7/2020 after living in the area for a year and wanting to try it out. I can say I was extremely disappointed with the food. Frankly while it was well seasoned it 'tasted funny' and my body outright rejected it almost immediately. I became extremely sick after eating this food within 30 to 40 minutes I was having hot flashes and my stomach was in knots. I spent my entire evening running back and forth to the bathroom so if you are looking for a hot and juicy toilet then this is the place for you. I believe the crab legs had expired but yet this establishment decided to sell them anyway which is quite disappointing when you support black owned businesses.

I visited this location when it was The Juicy Crab. Food was delicious but The Saucy Crab is a different story. I ordered takeout for three and paid a pretty good penny. My only complaint was the sauce. It tasted as if the sauce was almost all gone so they added water to make more. It ruined the entire meal. Haven't been back since.

They are fast! I tend to go after work for a take-out. I'm never there long waiting for my carry-out. I love being able to get a delicious meal in a timely manner. The atmosphere in the place is nice as well. I'm usually in the bar area waiting, and they get my money at least twice a week.

I love seafood. I live in the area and thought to try it out with my hubby. First, there's a list of several rules including split checks, gratuity, IDs etc. I ordered mozzarella sticks and juicy shrimp. My husband ordered hush puppies and catfish. The food was basic at best. The mozzarella sticks were bland, the he breading on the shrimp was unremarkable. I've been spoiled by shrimp at Goose Island and The Original Island Shrimp House and the food here was not even close. The food tasted heavy and greasy. There was not a lot of flavor and the food was cooked without quality and care. Prices were reasonable, but I prefer quality. Service was slightly below average will not be returning.

I have been a few times. When I go I tend to take people with me. Not more than 2 or 3 people because there is a high surcharge. I am noticing more and more that they skimp on the sauce. It's very disappointing because the food is pretty decent. If you ask for more sauce they bring it in one of those ranch dipping cups. It's terrible. It's a seafood boil but with little to no sauce. That definitely takes away from the experience.

Ordered the combination fried rice and not only was it fresh, but they weren't skimpy with the meat either. I HIGHLY recommend it. Really good!

The seafood is mushy and salty I REPEAT THE SEAFOOD IS MUSHY AND SALTY. If you go there and you read this review don't say I told you and the Chinese owner is rude and has bad customer service

Love seafood I stopped by here with my family. We were seated and we weren't addressed or our order taken for at least 10 minutes. Our server was super nice but I guess occupied. It wasn't even busy. I ordered a boil bag and I wasn't impressed with the seasoning or the size of the shrimp. We also had a oyster appetizer that was also weak. Smelled fishy. I haven't had oysters anywhere where they didnt separate the oyster from the shell. I've had better. Even my drink I ordered was basic and something I could have done. It just sucks to go out to eat and everything is so lackluster. I won't be back.

Tried out the food via takeout. Snow crab legs, green mussels and head off jumbo shrimp, corn, potatoes, and sausage. Everything was really fresh and good quality. The food was ready really quickly. Tried the combination sauce mild and it was really good. Will definitely try out more!

Overpriced for King Crab and Snow crab. Not filling. Very little meat with one little potato and a half of corn $53.00 and still hungry. . Crazy Crab up the street offers a better deal.

The meal was completely over cooked. Considering it came out in less than 10 minutes. Makes me wonder do they just have the food already prepared. The staff was rude acted like they couldn't hear you call them. The manager bas ignored me as I told him what was wrong with the order. Would not recommend at all. My party ordered the king crab which they tried to give us snow crab as if we didn't know the difference. We also ordered snow crab, lobster tails, and shrinp.

My family and I tried this location last evening. We really wanted to love it, but the service was extremely slow, to the point where my husband just lost his appetite and only ordered a beer and glass of water. We waited 20 minutes to be seated when there were open tables available for us and several other parties. The waitress was nice, but given it was just her and another sever, her attentiveness to our table was much less than desired. The food was just ok.

Went on 10-3-19. They should have a sign-in sheet or a a couple hostess waiting to seat the guest. The decor is average a lot of signatures of past customers. (Question: how are some of the signatures dated from 1991, 2008,2014 if they just opened here in Evergreen Park in 2019??) Nevertheless I had a pound of shrimp & clams w a corn & potato. My wife had the shrimp basket with Cajun fries. The service was good and the music was fine. -THE COST $46.67-. Simple concept: Pick your seafood sides, seasoning, spice, drink It's gets a little sloppy with the boil in a bag you'll get a bib, paper towels, wipes, gloves and a bucket. It's was a good meal good price. Not a place for a first date or to act all upper crust, high class cuz you're going to get full but a little dirty. To me it's Not a main lobster/calamari spot keep it basic order fish shrimp and clams.

Had a call in order for a seafood bag with crab legs and shrimp and added corn and potatoes. The worst seafood bag I've ever had. Food tasted really plain like no seasoning whatsoever was on it. Shrimp tasted as if it wasn't steamed fully. Crab legs tasted mushy. Felt like my food was rushed and not made with love. Corn and potatoes were just tossed in there with no seasoning. Chinese waiter was rude and didn't even greet me. Won't get my business again. I love seafood but after today I am disappointed !

It's the best they have very good customer service they are very nice and wealthy make sure you have any and everything

I had "Juicy Shrimp " delivered. wow! The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the breading was nice and crispy. The Sweet Potato fries were NOT greasy, and the Hushpuppies were delicious. Oh, and I think I'm addicted to the Juicy Sauce.

Great food and service!!!! The oysters were fresh and a great size for the price. The boil was amazing!!!! Our server was so attentive!

After trying this place two times just to be sure I have determined that I do not like them and I am a seafood lover. I don't like the sauce, the jumbo shrimp are very small and hard to peel. My lobster tail was clearly spoiled. Very disappointed after spending $55. Will not be returning.

So much plastic waste, eating with plastic gloves and plastic bib and bucket on the table with a plastic bag for all the plastic waste - I prefer not to eat out of a greasy plastic bag - it's not appealing or appetizing. Butter didn't seem like real butter - is it real butter? I had the calmari as it didn't come cooked in a plastic bag - I ended up pulling all the breading off - didn't taste good. One redeeming quality was that the staff was friendly. The atmosphere did not seem safe with respect to crowdedness and little mask use.

Terrible. We went in with our family on a Friday night. Really slow tempo 90s music playing. There was a handwritten sign on the front podium that said "do not write on the podium" - it's should have said "please wait to be seated". The restaurant wasn't too busy but there were quite a few tables of people. No one greeted us. We waited at the front for about 5 minutes before a woman from the back who was making drinks came over and said under her breath, "have a seat and I'll make sure a server comes to help you". My husband asked if we could sit outside on the patio (it was a beautiful summer night). The server said "no, because we only have 2 servers on the floor tonight". Fine. We found a table ourselves and sat closest to the door. A gentleman came over to put a white paper table sheet on the table, and he was the only contact we had with anyone after that. The server never came by to give water or say hello. We sat for about 15 minutes and decided to go someplace else. No one stopped us or apologized as we gathered to leave. My guess was that we were one less table for them to eventually serve. We were excited to try this place, but we were disappointed in the service and experience and will never go back. Some advice: have more servers on staff on FRIDAY nights and pay attention to customers leaving before being served. It's a sign that you're losing business. That's huge.

I had a sampler and the crab cakes were on POINT! Bear LOVED her platter (crab legs, , , and ), & my mom had a po boy and she liked hers too! Meat spillin out the sandwich!! ..... the drinks were FYYYYYYYE!!

I gave this restaurant a three star rating because the food was fresh and the seasoning was okay. The crab legs were hard to open because the server didn't have the proper utensils for me to use. The server says that they don't let the customers use the utensils because some of the customers are stealing them. I think the restaurant should come up with a solution to how to make it easier for the customers to open the crab legs. So, I was very frustrated after struggling to open my crab legs. For that reason, I will not be returning to this restaurant.
