We ordered off UberEats last month. I'm always excited for a hibachi option, even though I knew it would be different from a food truck. Still seems like a fun concept. The delivery time was reasonable and it arrived ahead of schedule.
The menu is small and simple. You choose between hibachi beef, chicken, tofu, shrimp or wagyu steak, price ranges from $8.50 to $20.50. You get your choice of steamed or hibachi rice and it comes with veggies. They list sliders on the menu on their website, but I didn't know it at the time because it wasn't listed on the delivery site. They offer two appetizers- shrimp dippers and jalapeno chicken dippers (which looked like egg rolls compared to the shrimp looking battered and fried) which are both $5.95.
We ordered the beef hibachi with steamed rice for $10.95 and the wagyu with hibachi rice for $16.50. The beef didn't look very attractive compared to the wagyu but it was the winner in my opinion. The seasoning was great, it was cooked as ordered, it was a decent value for the portion and I thought it tasted really good. The wagyu was undercooked, so it had a chewy texture. It still had a good flavor though, nice presentation but I didn't really think it was better or worth more than the beef. Perhaps if we try it again, cooked as ordered, we will feel differently.
As for the other items, they didn't really hold up to the meat. The steamed rice was okay, the hibachi rice was a little too soft, the veggies were really cold and hard which bummed me out. The portions won't really fill you up, so I would try them when you're getting hungry but not starving. My husband ate all of his wagyu and was still hungry.
You definitely need to eat this as soon as you get it as the containers start to get soft and lose shape. I wouldn't open the sauce until you are ready to use it and throw out the rest. The cardboard gets hot and warps so the lid won't go back on at all and will start spilling. That's a big disappointment when you're not prepared, so just an FYI. I found the sauce to be on the salty side for my preference.
We were left with an okay impression but I would definitely try it again just because the beef tasted so, so good. Maybe we'll try the chicken instead of the wagyu. Hopefully the rice and veggies will be better executed next time and I can add a star.
