Google
I’ve been here multiple times. I usually get their shrimp. But this time I order their steak and salmon. After all these years this place has remained one of the best. Their boxed water is refreshing after a night of having fun at Eastside or the square area. Their prices are reasonable and everything from the proteins, veggies, and rice has been amazing. The staff has been friendly, as well.

Google
Food is always great, I usually get chicken and shrimp entree with shrimp dippers. Their timing is always off. I’m always having to wait awhile for my food. Tonight was the worst. I was asked if a 20 minute wait would be okay after I already paid; they said they ran out of rice. Ended up waiting 45 minutes. Wasn’t told sorry for the wait either. Very limited drink menu as well.

Google
I saw an advertisement for this place thought it was time to give it a try. I called first with questions the young man was very helpful and friendly. The food arrived by way of delivery very quickly, it smelled so good . The food containers had a good portion of food in each one. I was impressed with the flavor and freshness loved my meal, even ordered 1 for latter and had it for dinner. I will defiantly be eating from there again. 5* in my book. thank you. And the pricing was great

Google
We love the food truck so we came to the location on Scripture. The food was just as good but the location is so cute inside! It’s a maze and I love the seclusion of each area. Great for a date night

Google
My husband ordered shrimp and steak, didn’t get the shrimp. We DID pay for it after checking receipt. I got shrimp and Don’t order it. They don’t clean it. The “veggie” portion of the food was about 6 small pieces of zucchini. The service was horrible also. You could hear the kitchen staff being super loud and laughing in the back, which would’ve been fine if they would have been at all friendly to us. Overall, it was mostly rice and little to no flavor.

Google
Always had a good experience but today they didn’t devein any of the shrimp. I was actually a little shocked opening it. I think it should be customary to remove the poop sack 😭😭

Richard Hill

Google
They don't devein the shrimp where the shit is and the manager seems to not care. Seems like a food a safety violation!!!

Google
I never write reviews on food places but their hospitality and sense of community blew me out of the park. I was sitting on the other side of the street waiting for a ride after a long day of work and someone came out and gave me free lemonade and fried rice. I didn't have any food during my shift and I was ravenously hungry so this made my entire week! The lemonade and fried rice were some of the best ive ever had! Thank you guys so much for the impeccably kind gesture and I will be back with friends asap :) y'all are the best

Yelp
My mother and I recently came by for a quick meal. We'd heard good things about the food truck and didn't realize that they now had a physical location. We were impressed by the food! It was so flavorful and we tried all the different sauces that they offered individually. The creamy sauce is my favorite to pair with the chicken fried rice. Will for sure be back!

Yelp
This place is so, so good! I was so hungry last night but didn't want to eat fast food, so I hopped on Google to see what was open near me . The search came up with The Saucy Hibachi, which was open until 2:00 a.m. I got a freshly made hibachi bowl with teriyaki chicken, rice, veggies and amazing sauce.- for less than $11. it was enough food to feed both my husband and I It was so good that we are going back tonight, which is a 14-mile drive for us at almost midnight. The addiction has started

Bradley F.

Yelp
Great place to grab a quality bite late (open until 2am)! Wagyu with shrimp on hibachi rice with choice of 2 sauces was delicious.

Riley S.

Yelp
Food and service were great. It's in the square so lots of opportunity to grab a bite to eat and then walk around.

Yelp
Foods really good but expect to wait at least over half an hour for your food any night. Tonight I was disappointed it took an hour..theres quicker options on the square and surrounding food trucks. One employee kept telling me "just one moment" but after half an hour of waiting at the window I finally asked how much longer it would be to get my order taken and I was given attitude. Fist disappointing experience

Yelp
I know the owner. Best Food Truck in North Texas. Very High Quality HABACHI FOOD TRUCK, respectful friendly service, restaurant open now at old Killer Taco location East of UNT Campus area. The food truck is same business located by Denton Square. They have 1 Handicapped parking spot. I'm a disabled Veteran I used to jump out of Helicopters and was Infantry in Iraq. I'm a frequent customer and fan. I deliver 60-100 hours of Door Dash weekly. This is my busiest customer by far for quality food. Nightly! My favorite is the Double Shrimp Entree add 4x orders of Crispy Tofu and 3 Cream Sauce & Soy Sauce. 4 Dr. Peppers.

Yelp
We have been to a ton of hibachi places. Most of them are pretty standard with the fried rice and respective meat dish. The great thing about hibachi is that it is usually consistent, the bad is that it usually lacks any originality. The Saucy Hibachi lacked all of that. Ordered the steak with fried rice. The steak quality was borderline Taco Bell quality steak and the fried rice was soggy. We tried to eat it right after we ordered and it was almost unedible. The only reason I would give it 2 stars is because the outdoor area itself is great. Save your money, eat around Denton Square and then come to this area for drinks.

Tania O.

Yelp
Mid. It was ight. Front counter lady was kinda rude. Food options were limited. Good music though. Drinks were un usual and limited. Mountain Dew energy drink?

Yelp
I get takeout from The Saucy Hibachi probably every other week, I love this food truck. My go-to is the Chicken Fried Rice Bowl w/ Cream Sauce. Usually only about a 10-15 minute wait before pickup, not bad at all. The people who work in there are always pretty chill too.
google avatar

Alex W.

Yelp
Service was mid and wait was a little long, but man that food was DELICIOUS!! I got the shrimp fried rice, and it was perfect amount of food for me. Definitely coming back!

Yelp
Excellent food! A friend recommended this truck and it did not disappoint. I particularly enjoyed the pulled pork nachos.

Yelp
My coworkers and I stopped by the Austin Street Truck Stop at lunch to see what was available. Decided on The Saucy Hibachi as we had never had it before. Ordered the jumbo shrimp entree. Shrimp was very tasty and felt like a really large portion which is always exciting. Personally, I would have loved to see more vegetables and less rice but I realize I'm probably in the minority with that opinion! We weren't in any rush so the time was not an issue for us, but if you need a quick lunch option I would order ahead with an app and pick it up. With all the online orders coming in, and just the normal cook times, it did take some time to order, get food, and eat it. Oh yeah! I didn't snap a photo but the jalapeño chicken dippers were very good and their cream sauce is delicious!

Yelp
We ordered off UberEats last month. I'm always excited for a hibachi option, even though I knew it would be different from a food truck. Still seems like a fun concept. The delivery time was reasonable and it arrived ahead of schedule. The menu is small and simple. You choose between hibachi beef, chicken, tofu, shrimp or wagyu steak, price ranges from $8.50 to $20.50. You get your choice of steamed or hibachi rice and it comes with veggies. They list sliders on the menu on their website, but I didn't know it at the time because it wasn't listed on the delivery site. They offer two appetizers- shrimp dippers and jalapeno chicken dippers (which looked like egg rolls compared to the shrimp looking battered and fried) which are both $5.95. We ordered the beef hibachi with steamed rice for $10.95 and the wagyu with hibachi rice for $16.50. The beef didn't look very attractive compared to the wagyu but it was the winner in my opinion. The seasoning was great, it was cooked as ordered, it was a decent value for the portion and I thought it tasted really good. The wagyu was undercooked, so it had a chewy texture. It still had a good flavor though, nice presentation but I didn't really think it was better or worth more than the beef. Perhaps if we try it again, cooked as ordered, we will feel differently. As for the other items, they didn't really hold up to the meat. The steamed rice was okay, the hibachi rice was a little too soft, the veggies were really cold and hard which bummed me out. The portions won't really fill you up, so I would try them when you're getting hungry but not starving. My husband ate all of his wagyu and was still hungry. You definitely need to eat this as soon as you get it as the containers start to get soft and lose shape. I wouldn't open the sauce until you are ready to use it and throw out the rest. The cardboard gets hot and warps so the lid won't go back on at all and will start spilling. That's a big disappointment when you're not prepared, so just an FYI. I found the sauce to be on the salty side for my preference. We were left with an okay impression but I would definitely try it again just because the beef tasted so, so good. Maybe we'll try the chicken instead of the wagyu. Hopefully the rice and veggies will be better executed next time and I can add a star.

Yelp
not sure why i had to wait over an hour for my food to be ready, but the food was so good that i completely forgot about it when i started eating. i ordered the crispy tofu entree, and the shrimp and chicken dippers. the dippers came out fresh, very crispy and soft in the right places. i wasn't sure what kind of sauce they served it with, but it was a very complementary pairing. the serving sizes were great as well, not too much but not too little.

Yelp
We stumbled upon a hidden gem looking for food on Sunday around Denton square. This food truck was the only one open among a town of them behind Eastside. We got the beef and shrimp bowl. The beef bowl is so full of meat where as the shrimp bowl quantity is much smaller. The flavor is amazing and their Ginger and Cream sauces where perfect compliments to the bowls. We tried the shrimp dippers on our first visit and they were a twist on crab Rangoon - a shrimp with cream cheese wrapped in a wonton wrapper and fried crispy...delicious!!! We were sad on our second visit when they were already sold out of shrimp dippers but our bowls did not disappoint. Highly recommend giving them a try if you enjoy hibachi....better than some big restaurants I've been too.
google avatar

Amber N.

Yelp
Not for me. The rice tasted pretty old.. and not fresh.. the tofu has no real flavoring. Pass and trash.

Molly W.

Yelp
Delicious food and great customer service. The shrimp dippers are to die for! The tofu entree was crispy and the shrimp in the fried rice was perfectly cooked.

Yelp
The smell will lure you in. We came by for a quick drink after eating elsewhere and were remembered how good it smelled and kept back the next day for lunch at the Austin Street Truck Stop at lunch to see what was available. Decided on The Saucy Hibachi as we had never had it before. I ordered a filet bowl. The meat and veggies were great and fresh. Agreed with some other reviews I would have liked more veggies or even a choice to add more and less rice. My daughtered loved the rice and carrots. The sauces were great. The food took about 5-10 minutes and was a good amount for me for lunch and though the prices was good. The service was good as well. Its great we take it over to east side to enjoy the food and drinks at the same time.

Yelp
One of my all time favorite places to eat. Workers are always super nice and quick! You can come starving and leave stuffed! My favorite is the shrimp bowl with steamed rice
google avatar

Yelp
Restaurant quality coming from a food truck! They serve it to you fresh! Generous portions too!

Yelp
Fantastic food and friendly folks at the truck! I am glad that they are stationed there at West End.

Yelp
We LOVE this place. We found it on Uber Eats this last year when we were doing a lot of ordering in. I had no idea it was a food truck. The food is top notch. We love the Wagyu Beef. The fried rice is yummy and the veggies are cooked perfectly. Don't forget the sauce!! Our new favorite place.
google avatar

Yelp
This is hands down my favorite food truck!!! Every single time I go to East Side in Denton this is my favorite food option! I even started following them on Facebook to make sure the nights I'm at east Side, they are there! Great flavorful food with good portions! My favorite is the crispy teriyaki tofu. I know I know Tofu! But honestly it is so good!!!! Gotta try it!
google avatar

Yelp
Literally some of the best food I've ever had. The shrimp dippers are phenomenal and their rice is literally the best fried rice I've ever eaten. My boyfriend and I adore this place. 100% worth every penny.

Yelp
I'm speechless.... Food truck HIBACHI? It's amazing how crazy it sounds to UBER Eats from a Food Truck serving Hibachi. Taste 10, Freshness 10, Sauceyness 10, Hibachiness 10. The only thing that is missing is a video of the chef cooking my meal! Yo Saucy Hibachi if you ever do that I want to be the first one to receive it lol. This place has become one of my favorites!
google avatar

Yelp
Food here is fantastic. The crispy tofu is a must have. Pieces are generously cut. Batter is flaky and food is fresh.

Daylon V.

Yelp
I came in at 7:20 pm to pick up a doordash, and the lady told me it was going to be done soon after that. Then I came up to the window about 20 minutes later asking what i was waiting for, and she got the doordash order wrong and I had to wait even longer. I did not receive the order until 8:10 pm. Not very good service and very slow cooks. Also the order was only 1 Jalapeño Chicken Dipper and 1 entree. i expected to leave the area by 7:30, but got stuck here for another 45 minutes.

John A.

Yelp
This place is delicious and the staff is amazing. Definitely worth checking out, plus you can grab a drink at East Side, DCBC or The Bearded Monk while you wait.

Lei N.

Yelp
Found them through Uber eats and I was really sold on all the options they had. My son who is a picky eater said he was not disappointed and ate all his food . He also was really happy they carried the Ramune drinks . Interestingly enough their tofu was so tasty. The amount of chicken they gave was a good amount and is totally worth the price. I will definitely be ordering from them again.

Dusty B.

Yelp
Tried the Chicken Bowl and the Steak Bowl. The steak was good. Chicken was great. Good service. Large portions. Good value for the money, considering it's a food truck.

Chris C.

Yelp
This place is absolutely my favorite! You get a generous portion of everything and it always comes out tasting great.
google avatar

Lindsy C.

Yelp
I ordered the chicken entree that comes with a starch and side of veggies. There were literally 4 pieces of veggies (3 slices of squash and 1 mushroom). I paid extra and ordered this option bc I wanted veggies. My chicken was salt-lick salty. Nearly inedible- tried to pawn some off on my husband and he couldn't stomach it. The rice seemed crunchy and old. Overall very dissatisfied.
google avatar

Mar'Shauwn G.

Yelp
I had a $20 off coupon from Uber eats so I the wife and I decided to try something new and this place didn't disappoint!! This just became a new Denton favorite!

Lindsey H.

Yelp
Ordered to go through Ubereats on a whim for a late dinner. I got the shrimp, boyfriend go the wagyu. Both were delicious! Very pleasantly surprised. Will definitely get again. The steak was perfectly cooked and great lean mean. Shrimp was super flavorful and tasted so fresh.
google avatar

Haley E.

Yelp
This place is so good! My boyfriend and I ate here for the first time and the dude was really cool. He was able to help us choose what to get which is really helpful since it seems like you can really customize the food. I had the Wagyu beef with the hibachi rice and I am still dreaming about it. My boyfriend had the beef with the hibachi rice, which was still good but we definitely preferred the wagyu. We also had the shrimp poppers (I believe that was what it was called) and it was also delicious. Definitely suggest stopping by, it is located inside Eastside bar!
google avatar

Laurie S.

Yelp
I had the jalapeño chicken poppers. We also had shrimp with rice. SO GOOD. Big portions. Food truck in downtown Denton. Define toy go!
google avatar

Ebonye R.

Yelp
Top notch hibachi! These guys are so friendly and make the best food! We have had the bowls and plates and both are plentiful and worth the price!

Will R.

Yelp
I have now tried the chicken and steak rice bowl, teriyaki noodles, and jalapeño chicken dippers. Not a single one is below 5/5. I bought this for 3 of my friends without telling them the price or that it is from a food truck, and all thought I was lying when I told them. Amazing food, amazing price, and amazing speed makes this my goto Hibachi restaurant.

Tina S.

Yelp
Sooo I hate writing bad reviews but this is a little insane. I stopped eating here when I ordered the chicken dippers and they were served to me raw and then when I went to return them the worker had regular nerve to argue with me. Sorry, I know what raw food is like...anyway it had been a good like 4 or 5 months since I've tried it again and tonight I decided to give it a go. I got a tofu bowl with fried rice. It tasted fine, nothing unexpected until I'm about 5 bites in and I bite on something extremely hard, and i pull a piece of broken gray plastic out of my mouth... I'm a big advocate for supporting local, but this is ridiculous. Eat with caution, as they clearly aren't following service standards.

Ethan B.

Yelp
Got the tofu bowl and tofu entree. The tofu was nice and crispy, but overly salty. The bowl only came with rice and tofu, no vegetables whatsoever, meanwhile the entree came with mushrooms, a bit of zucchini, and 2 slivers of carrot. I would like if the tofu had less salt, and there were more vegetables, such as broccoli or more carrots.

Sailor T.

Yelp
I order from heresy least once a week and my food is always perfect! I've tried basically everything on the menu and it's all delicious. Try this place!!!
google avatar

Yano H.

Yelp
Me and fam ordered this hoping to satisfy our late-night craving for Asian food and we wanted to give this place a try. This not only was surprising for food you can get after 11, but they were decently priced, delicious, well cooked, and a great amount of food for the price. We got chicken, shrimp, and tofu and I am happy to report they were all good sized pieces and seasoned well. They do not skimp on the protein servings. The hibachi rice was decent (we did order last-minute so it's possible we just got the end of the batch, which is completely fine), and the shrimp appetizer was fried and tasted like a wonton, which was pleasant. They actually tried at and succeeded with the fried tofu, which is surprising for most places who think that just throwing it on a menu is enough to appease vegetarians. My sister and her fiance both loved it despite not necessarily being vegetarian. The ginger sauce was perfect for dipping anything into and the side vegetables were not over or undercooked (rare, in my opinion). We are all glad we gave The Saucy Hibachi a try. Keep up the good work.
