“You may not always remember the drinks, but you’ll always remember how you felt,” says bar owner and author Holly Graham - SilverKris

"Launched by the same team behind an award-winning predecessor, this Hong Kong bar is notable for phenomenal cocktails that deliberately highlight savoury elements—using ingredients such as beef stock and tomato—to create bold, food-forward drinks." - Michelle JN Lim

First-time visit to Hong Kong, and this was the very first bar I stepped into (after Googling it beforehand). There are about 10 tables and a few bar seats. As soon as you walk in, the staff will greet you right away. Although I didn’t have a reservation, I was lucky enough to get a table for two. The staff were incredibly attentive and took the time to explain their signature cocktails. If you’re not a cocktail person, it might feel a bit overwhelming at first — but don’t worry, they’re great at explaining everything clearly and are happy to help. I ordered a Vesper Martini and their signature cocktail, “Thai Beef Salad.” The Vesper Martini was absolutely fantastic — easily one of the top 3 martinis I’ve ever had in my life. The other cocktail was also incredibly well-balanced. If you’re new to cocktails, I highly recommend giving it a try. Overall, this bar is amazing — cozy vibes, great people, and top-notch drinks. If you’re feeling tired after walking around the island and are looking for a place to relax and unwind, this spot is a must-visit. Every member of the staff was genuinely kind and welcoming.

The staff at The Savory Project were super friendly. I felt very welcomed, especially sitting right at the bar where the service was extra nice. The waiting time wasn’t too bad either. We registered, went for a quick walk, and were seated in about 30 minutes. As for the cocktails, they were just okay in my opinion. I tried both a fusion-style drink and the Penicillin, but neither really stood out to me. And I admit I’m quite a picky drinker. That said, the overall vibe was great and definitely something I’d return for. So while I may not go back specifically for the cocktails, I’d happily return for the atmosphere and the lovely staff.

the cocktails were surprisingly really well balanced and delicious for everything looking so savory. I tried all my friends drinks and ordered a couple of my own and we enjoyed every drink. However i don’t think place is meant for a small group or people looking to enjoy drinks at the bar. It was really cramped, if you had a big group of friends, it’s cute and you take over the space, so its fun to have everyone so close but if i was a couple or just coming in with one of my friends, it was ample. Additionally, the only staff member we liked was also leaving😖

A small venue that can fill up quickly, with a unique focus on savoury cocktails. The concept is interesting, and the drinks show thoughtful execution - classics are subtly elevated, and flavour profiles often draw from food-inspired ideas. While not every drink was a standout, the approach is creative and worth exploring if you’re after something a little different.

Went to HK specifically for this bar as I love savoury cocktails a lot. The drinks I ordered definitely hits the spot and did not disappoint. Very interesting drinks to try and they even have a well thought out mocktail menu for those who doesn't drink.

Beef Thai Salid, dirty martini, boulevardier are just some of the beautifully crafted, delicious, and flavorful cocktails. Add a skilled, hospitable confident team to that mix and you get an experience where you can either choose your own adventure or let the team guide you. You can’t go wrong either way.

I always found it quite difficult to get in as it is usually quite packed, but found it a bit easier on a Sunday night. Walking in, I was not sure what to expect and I imagined that the drinks would be like drinking soup, but to my surprise they were excellently balanced and all our drinks were delicious. I think they are doing something quite unique and new in Hong Kong that I really appreciate and leaving the venue made me feel wanting to try everything on the menu.

Awesome vibe last night at the Savoury Project. Waiting was about 1 hour, but the system is good with a virtual queue and WhatsApp update so you can go somewhere else first. Place is very small as for Hong Kong standard, dark and cool. Music could have been a little bit less loud, but the tracks were still groovy. Service was outstanding. Let’s talk cocktails. I really liked it. They are unusual for sure and for me it works better to come here before dinner as it feels you are drinking a starter!
