The Savoury Project is such a unique and memorable bar concept. Every cocktail on the menu is inspired by a savoury dish, and the execution is spot on—you can clearly tell which dish each drink is based on. My personal favourites were the Biryani and Thai Beef Salad, both incredibly well balanced and full of flavour. It’s obvious how much thought and effort went into the menu, with many ingredients distilled and clarified to bring out clean, distinct tastes.
What really stood out as well is that they put the same level of care into their mocktails. These were served just like proper cocktails—thoughtfully made, balanced, and beautifully presented. A fantastic option for friends who don’t drink, and such a stark contrast to other bars that barely bother and just hand you a can of something non-alcoholic.
We later discovered their connection to sister bar COA (also awesome)
when we noticed they served the same complimentary potato chips. A fun little touch—and even better, the staff noticed how much we enjoyed them and packed us a bag to take home.
Service was excellent throughout: attentive, friendly, and always prompt. Combined with such creative drinks, it made for a wonderful experience that I’d happily recommend to anyone looking for something different in Hong Kong’s cocktail scene.
