Housed in the landmark Savoy Hotel, The Savoy at 21c offers a fresh take on Kansas City’s oldest continuously operating restaurant space. The original Savoy Grill first opened in 1903 and famously hosted presidents and jazz legends. Today’s iteration carefully preserves the elegant Art Deco details—like stained-glass murals and the iconic bar—while serving a contemporary regional menu that honors both the city’s past and its evolving palate. Cited by The New York Times and Eater as a must-visit for its blend of history and innovation, The Savoy is perfect for those who want to dine where Kansas City’s story began.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — “Stunning atmosphere, delicious food, perfect for date night” The Savoy completely blew us away! This restaurant is absolutely stunning — from the historical charm of the hotel to the modern touches that hint at recent renovations (we were told it’s under new ownership). The ambiance was perfect for a happy hour or date night — classy, cozy, and inviting. We started with their espresso martinis, which were perfectly balanced and had a unique lime-orange twist. Delicious! I ordered the burger, which was cooked to perfection, and we finished with the carrot cake served with ice cream — hands down one of the best desserts I’ve had in a while. Everything tasted homemade and thoughtfully prepared. We did try the dates from the happy hour menu, but they weren’t our favorite. The server graciously comped the dish without hesitation, which we really appreciated. The service was top-notch — friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing. Surprisingly, the place was nearly empty for a Thursday afternoon, but we chalked that up to people heading out early for the holidays. Either way, we’re definitely coming back. The Savoy has everything — great food, great drinks, great vibes. Highly recommend!

If you're looking for a dining experience that combines rich history, amazing food, and an unforgettable atmosphere, Savoy is an absolute must-visit in Kansas City. Located in one of the city's oldest buildings, the architecture alone is a treat for the eyes, offering a perfect blend of vintage charm and modern touches. The eclectic ambiance sets the stage for a relaxed yet vibrant evening, making it an ideal spot for any occasion. But the real standout? The food and drinks. The cocktails here are nothing short of phenomenal—expertly crafted and packed with flavor, they’re the perfect way to kick off your meal. And let’s talk about the smash burgers—absolutely mouthwatering! Juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, they’re a true highlight of the menu. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Savoy offers a memorable experience that blends the best of Kansas City’s history with today’s culinary innovations. Highly recommended!

It’s rare for a restaurant experience to be life changing, but our Thursday night dinner at The Savoy was just that. From the moment we entered the warmly lit space we were struck with every amazing detail of the historic hotel and restaurant. Gorgeous dark oak and iconic green subway tiles accent the nearly all original dining room bringing you back in time to the early 1900s. The staff are incredible! From the host, to the bartenders, to our waiter David, everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and seemed to care very much about the dining experience. Now the food alone is enough to make me want to come back to Kansas City. For starters we had the caviar dressed eggs and pumpernickel bread with fruit compound butter. Both were amazing but the eggs were one of the best foods we have ever tried. For mains we shared the filet and orange zest carbonara. The filet was cooked perfectly, melt in your mouth tender and was served over a delicious sauce. The carbonara was a very flavorful and lighter take on a usually heavy dish. We also got an order of duck fat fries which were phenomenal, very crispy and flavorful. To end the night we got the carrot cake which was again fantastic, and very cleverly paired with a black pepper ice cream (it sounds strange but trust it is superb). We also enjoyed several of the cocktails, which were very well balanced and super interesting takes on old classics. David never steered us wrong with suggestions and pairings, and the bartender was an artist with every drink served in a way that made them feel distinct and purposeful. It was my second time in KC and I plan on coming back to The Savoy on every subsequent trip as this is now one of my all time favorite spots. Thank you to all the staff, who made our night special, and if you’re looking for a very memorable evening I highly recommend this piece of history.

My husband and I just had dinner here and everything was amazing! Service was top notch. The entire staff was very attentive and professional. We had some unique cocktails and they were both delicious. Everything about our meal was perfect, flavors and portion sizes were spot on. It was pricey but very much worth it. This is a perfect place for a special occasion or just a really nice meal. Will definitely be back in the future!

I wanted to visit this restaurant for years. I really enjoy trying new restaurants. My wife brought me here for my birthday. We made reservations for 7 pm. We arrived around 6:45. When we arrived the restaurant wasn't busy. We were seated quickly and looked over the menu. I was torn between steak and the burger, but I ordered a steak and fries. My wife ordered pasta. We enjoyed the atmosphere, and I googled the restaurant. It appears this is one of the oldest restaurants and hotels in Kansas City. It said after a fire the place was closed 2 years for remodeling. I enjoyed finding the history of the Savoy. Our food arrived and we were impressed. My steak and fries were magnificent. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her meal. When we were finished, our server (kyle) said dessert was of them for my birthday. I chose the chocolate cake. The cake was incredible! I really enjoyed the restaurant, and Kyle said we could look at the hotel lobby. This is a definite must-see if you are visiting KC. This is also a must if you are a local! I look forward to returning to try that smash burger...

For my two nights in town for Nick Cave I had Rohan Duck and Austrailian Rack of Lamb. Rohan Duck was a bit salty, I may not be too familar with the dish. The Rack of lamb was exquisite! The wine even better! The Carrot Cake you can share with two people!

I recently dined at The Savoy at 21 in Kansas City, and it was a fantastic experience. The food was absolutely delicious, with well-crafted dishes that hit all the right notes. The drinks were excellent too, with a great selection of cocktails and wines that perfectly complemented the meal. The vibe of the place is really what sets it apart. It feels like an uplifted classic—a cozy yet elegant atmosphere that’s perfect for a relaxing evening with friends or even a romantic date. The ambiance has this lovely balance of sophistication and warmth. The only downside is that there aren’t many options for pescatarians or vegetarians, which can be a bit limiting. However, if you’re looking for a memorable dining experience with great food and drinks in a beautiful setting, The Savoy at 21 is definitely worth visiting!

Great vibes, attentive and helpful staff and delicious food and drinks. It is a little pricey, so be prepared, but well worth it. Great date night spot.

Yelp
We had a great night here at the Savoy! First, we had some wonderful drinks at the bar during happy hour. I enjoyed three oysters from Prince Edward Island, which were delicious. We then moved over to our table which we had reserved on OpenTable and our server, Mae, took great care of us. My wife had the steak frittes, which was skirt steak and absolutely outstanding fries! I had the ribeye, which was a little overcooked and a little too charred on the outside for my liking. They also put some weird sauce on it, which I did not ask for. But it was very good. I would've preferred it without the sauce. But I was not going to send a $74 steak back. We're pretty sure the house steak sauce that came with the steak frittes had crack in it. We were both blown away!! Never have we had a steak sauce that good!!! We both especially liked the Caesar salad, which actually had anchovies. Delicious! We had to run to the theater and enjoyed part of a show at MTH. Then we came back to the Savoy and were blessed to be taken care of by Mackenzie. She may be the best server we have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. I ordered a bottle of wine and my wife had some delicious cider from Austin Texas. It was a wonderful experience and we love this restaurant. We hope to return. We had a less than pleasant experience with the hotel, but I will review them separately.

Yelp
My partner and I decided to celebrate my birthday here on Sunday the 22nd of June. The hostess, whose I name I unfortunately didn't catch, was lovely. Greet was warm and friendly, she sat us in Truman's favorite booth. Prior to our arrival, she set out menus that said Happy Birthday which was sooo sweet. We were so excited to start our experience. The vibe and mood completely changed when our server arrived. Not sure if we did something wrong or if it was just a bad night for our server, Nick but it felt like we were an inconvenience. I would thank him for things and get ignored. Felt rushed to give him everything at one time. Made my partner feel stupid because he asked for "soda water" instead of "Sparkling Water". The whole thing honestly felt a bit hostile. I normally would let that go and just call it a bad night for him but I couldn't help but feel like it was targeted after seeing 1) him be more attentive, friendly and personable with his other tables, and 2) the kindness and professionalism from not only the hostess but the other server as well. We had just a super brief moment with the other server on the floor that night and he was fantastic. My partner and I talked about how we wished he was our server. And we had to ask the hostess to drop checks and boxes for us cause our server hadn't checked in with us since our food dropped. Keep in mind the restaurant wasn't busy. Nick probably had two other tables and enough time to be chatting it up with the bartender (who made some great drinks btw. Melon Dollar Baby is a great name and drink) We didn't even get to order dessert. It's just really disheartening to go out to a supposedly nice restaurant to celebrate your birthday, get treated like this and then pay upwards of $200 ESPECIALLY IN THIS ECONOMY. I normally tip upwards of 20% because I work in the service industry as well and really struggled with how much I was going to leave him. Originally had like $75 set aside for tip, considered stiffing but ended up leaving $20 because despite the disappointing service, I'm not gonna be an a hole and give you nothing even if that means I'm practically paying YOU to be one to me. Really disappointing and frustrating that my Birthday and my money was spent here. If it weren't for the hostess and other server, the only good thing about the night, I would leave 0 stars if I could.

Yelp
The 21c Kansas City Museum Hotel has sadly been purchased by Hilton, who have removed almost all of the amazing art from the premises. However, The Savoy restaurant remains, luckily. We ate breakfast at The Savoy when we were staying at the 21c Hotel (RIP). The decor of the restaurant was fun, kitschy, and interesting. Our table was by a giant red penguin statue with fancy uplighting. Even the plates are fancy here, with floral and lattice designs to give your eggs and toast a little pizzaz. So as I mentioned, we had breakfast at The Savoy. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and my husband had just some over easy eggs and a salad. The food was good, but "eggs are eggs" as George Constanza once said. So they were well cooked and everything but not anything out of this world. What blew us away, though, was the ambiance and the service. That's worth going back for just for that. I'm not a huge breakfast fan, so I think next time I'm there, I will go at lunch or dinner time.

Yelp
We had some of the best service we've ever had at The Savoy last weekend. Our server was attentive to anything we could need, was patient with our son who was a bit out of sorts that evening, and helped us stay on time to make it to the Nutcracker performance. The crab fingers were the sleeper hit of the meal. How fun and innovative! Seafood is a hard dish to get right, and KC isn't the place you usually seek out seafood. Having crab fingers with a beer would be a a dream meal! The oxtail was also delicious and the rolls. The Earl Gray tart was our favorite dessert. I also loved the clever drinks - an original from the early years of the restaurant and a classic twist.

Yelp

Yelp
Had dinner here on 5/29/25 with a friend from out of town who was staying at the hotel. Venue is amazing with original 120 year old stained glass and murals. The service was excellent with an informative and a bit quirky waiter. This, and the excellent appetizers of garlic bread and stuffed dates left us in anticipation of great entrees. Alas, this was not to be. I had, as did our guest, the carbonara flavored with orange. Quirky and I kind of liked the flavor but the pasta was tough. Al dente is being kind. Our guest only finished about half of hers stating "I don't think it's cooked." By contrast, my wife's rack of lamb was over cooked and dry. Of course having lived in Australia for a year we have high standards for lamb. The martinis were well mixed and very good and really saved the night but I expected more for $100 per person.

Yelp
My partner and I celebrated our anniversary here at The Savoy and surprisingly - it was my first time here. They offered a New Year's Eve four course meal and I was extremely excited to finally give this historic restaurant a try. The ambiance of The Savoy is extravagant and filled with lots of character. Being that it was our first time here, our waiter filled us in on the rich history behind the restaurant and hotel. The service was extremely fast and one of the best services I have ever received. The hospitality was definitely there and it definitely does not go unnoticed. Now although we had the four course NYE menu, there are some items i've had that are similar and comparable to their normal menu. For the first course I chose the beef tartare and to be honest, this was my first time trying tartare and it had a very good flavor but I just feel that tartare is not for me. Something about eating 'raw' beef didn't sit right in my mind, definitely not the restaurant's fault by any means! My partner ordered the foie gras and the foie gras was very tasty but I felt that the buttered toast overpowered the taste of the foie gras. For my second course, I ordered the lobster raviolo and this was super super tasty. The lobster was perfectly cooked and I definitely wouldn't mind just eating an entire dish of this for dinner. By my third course, I was already feeling myself getting full but I couldn't stop there. The filet mignon was cooked medium rare and had very good flavor. My only complaint was that it was a little under lukewarm.. made me wonder if it had died while making its way over to our table. The brussel sprouts were a good pairing and and the potatoes were my favorite thing to eat! Finally, I ended with the hazelnut gateau and this wasn't overly sweet, it definitely hit the spot after everything I ate. Would love to come back during their happy hour!

Yelp
The Savoy at 21c is a hidden gem of a find in the Downtown KC area. Set in an old historic hotel with an eclectic bit of modern art as the background, this place hits all the right spots for a fantastic evening. As usual, we started off with a round of cocktails. They have a nice selection including your classic cocktails and then also a seasonal menu, and of course wine selection. For appetizers we started with the oysters which were definitely fresh. We couldn't pass up the Parker house rolls which were perfect, and then we also had the duck pate with the cherry mostarda. All of our mains were absolute perfection, we couldn't decide which we liked better. We ordered the walleye, the lamb shank and the porchetta. Truly all three were fabulous and expertly seasoned without being too much or too rich. For dessert we finished off with coffee which comes from a local shop in the crossroads called Marcell, and paired it with the coconut panna cotta with passion fruit. Yum. Overall 5/5 stars. Service was on point, drinks and food were delivered on time and ambiance was perfect. Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a great meal. (Next time I'll be back to sit at the bar and try their burger)

Yelp
I'll have to try their food eventually, this review is for their bar only. Sat at their bar for a nightcap on a Saturday night at around 8. We were looking for a more quiet place, and this was an excellent choice. Went with their fig cocktail which was delicious! The only complaint I have is that my drink was a pretty small pour. The fig liquor was caramel-y, and really quite lovely. Bartenders were great and asked us questions to ensure we got what we wanted. 14$ a cocktail so I expected a bigger pour..

Yelp
We had reservations for The Savoy for Christmas Eve dinner. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and our table was ready. Our server poured us glasses of water and asked if we wanted anything else to drink. I was not drinking, but I did notice quite an expansive drink menu. The bar area also looked awesome and well kept. We ordered the crab dip to share. It is served cold with a few crackers. The dip was good but we could've used a few more crackers. Had to really pack on the dip for the last couple crackers to not have to just eat it plain without any crackers left. I ordered the diver scallops for my entree, and we shared the celery root-potato gratin. The portion size for the scallops was definitely smaller than I'd hoped. There were 3 scallops for the $42 entree. While I thought the portion was small, the scallops were cooked to perfection. The potato gratin was very tasty with the gruyere. For dessert we shared the apple tart, which we found out was the last one for the night. It was an elevated version of an apple tart I'd typically see. Really great! Dessert is a must! The service was great and the restaurant is decorated nicely. I really liked the interior and the cool vibes with the dim lighting. Good option for a special occasion night in the downtown area!

Yelp
This restaurant is in the KC 21c and I have dined here a few times over the last several years. I stay at 21c from time to time. 21c is a unique chain of nice hotels mostly in mid size southern cities and others, and have a big love and presence of tasteful art. This overflows into the restaurant which has a cozy, dark and inviting space. That is hard to pull off. The service here is professional. Everything I have ordered here has been good. They take pride in wine offerings. Great bar. No sports. Only art like movies. I would prefer sports as would a lot of people. On this night I had an excellent Rhône GSM, unique hamburger (very good) and Caesar (below average like salad from bag).

Yelp
Food was amazing. Service and general manager were top notch. High level of attention.

Yelp
One of KC's oldest restaurants, although many modifications have been made to keep this place to be aesthetically pleasing, the waiter made our nice with giving us some history of this place. The food was delicious and we sat in the presidents booth which happens to be Harry S Truman's favorite spot.

Yelp
Arrived for a Sunday brunch with family. Wonderful ambiance with a dark velvet vibe. Stained glass in the windows as well. I liked it! Service was great. Just the right amount of attention. The Brunch menu is very good. Not extensive per se, but with a nice selection. I had the shrimp and grits. Flavorful with just the right amount of spice. Also ordered a side of bacon. Oh my word! It was wonderful! I could have eaten pounds of it!! Others in the party loved their meals as well. Usual brunch drinks. The coffee with the meal was French press, always a nice touch! Would return in a heartbeat!

Yelp
This was our first time at The Savoy. I made a reservation about 2 weeks ahead and I would recommend reservations though it looked like walk ups were seated quickly at the bar. Our server was wonderful and very knowledgeable about what was on the menu and recommendations . I got the Jack Rose drink to start. This was a great drink that was not too sweet. We shared the crab dip starter and I would recommend this for those who enjoy crab. I got the Rainbow trout and found that it was perfectly cooked and the sauce really added to the flavor. We also got a dessert and a side to share. I did enjoy our experience and food but I do think that the prices are a bit high for what you get.

Yelp
Just stopped in for a drink at the bar. The restaurant was packed and booked and we took the last 2 bar seats. The bartenders are on it and it's fun to watch them in creation mode! Breathtaking interior! The drinks are standard priced and both pretty good. The La Jolla and sea spray is very Mellon flavored and the sea spray is quite thick.

Yelp
The service was fantastic & the ambiance was very upscale and romantic. The main steak, seafood, & side dishes were absolutely delicious! However I feel all of it was a little overpriced. I ordered the ricotta cavatelli with the lamb ragu and wouldn't recommend it but since we ordered so many little things to share with the group it didn't put a damper on the rest of the delicious options. The two other members of my party ordered steaks and they were cooked to perfection. Quick note on the hostess stand/main entrance from the street- there's no hostess stand or anyone to greet you at that door and it's a bit confusing. If you enter the restaurant from the hotel lobby/museum area the hostess stand is right by the elevator.

Yelp
** NICK M OUR WAITER WAS SPECTACULAR Our experience was absolutely delightful!! My boyfriend + I do not get the opportunity to enjoy a luxury dining service too often, and this did not disappoint!! The menu had amazing choices + we loved every. single. thing. we got!! The dim lighting, black + white movies on the screens, + the seating made this feel so historic!

Yelp
Everything was great! Highlights for me were the caviar dressed eggs, beef tartare (it's like a big mac on a cheezit!) and the cauliflower. Thoughful cocktail menu and amazing desserts. we can't wait to return!!!

Yelp
My wife and I came to the Savoy for our anniversary and I'm so glad we did. The staff and chefs at the Savoy really made our evening special with their incredible service and delicious dishes. I had been here once before but had only sat at the bar. Their cocktails were complex and thoughtful masterpieces. And I thought to myself if the drinks are this good I can't imagine how great their food must be! So first chance I had for a romantic evening away from the kids I chose the Savoy. We were welcomed with a complimentary drink to celebrate our anniversary, and from there the whole evening was perfect. I don't have the words to describe the depth of flavors and textures that I tasted, all I know is that everything we eat had us Mmmm'ing & Ohhhh'ing. Seriously every time I tried a new dish I would say "now this one is my favorite" or "this is the best thing I've ever eaten". We ate everything they brought out, down to the sauces! Our waiter was super knowledgeable and answered any questions we had about certain dishes and even taught us a few things I had no idea about. The restaurant itself is next to an art gallery so there are always cool things to see. Their menu is always changing with the seasons and ingredients that are in season. The Savoy has quickly become a place I recommend to all our friends and people from out of town. If you live in KC don't miss out! You have to get out and check this place out.

Yelp
I'm staying at 21C Kansas City, home of Savoy. I'm staying here for two nights and will likely eat here tomorrow as well, so usually I wait until the end of my stay to review my meals. But I loved my meal tonight so much that I am giving it five stars on the first night. Appetizer: I had the heirloom tomatoes with Buffalo mozzarella and basil, served with an unexpected tomato extract gelatin, seasoned with peppers. Cool and refreshing for these hot summer months. I had a couple of cocktails, both of which were amazing. Call this # now with Chicago gin, tarragon, wormwood, and more. Unusual and delightful sipping drink. And then the pure prophet, which was my favorite. Sotol, mezcal, ginger, honey, and more. Smoky, refreshing. And then my entree. The beef sirloin. This was mouthwatering. The sirloin was this perfect mix of lean, with just the smallest rim of fat for flavor, served medium rare. Some type of savory season and butter. Roasted carrots and summer corn. And this perfect, amazing, juicy oxtail croquette. Best meal I've had in a long time. Nick was my server. He was understated, helpful, attentive. Support staff were great too. Definitely looking forward to tomorrow.

Yelp
Giving a 3 only because the ribeye steak was absolutely over salted and bland . Never had an experience where my steak taste like I was drinking seawater . The rolls were the same way. Now for the good. Cocktails were amazing . The cookie dough ice cream and the pistachio cake blew our minds . The service was great also. But hard to give over a 3 when a nearly 100 steak was so bad.I would go so far as to say it was the worst steak I have had in KC.

Yelp
What a unique venue. Love the history of the place. Had the pasta dish and very dirty martini. Friendly staff and great atmosphere.

Yelp
Fabulous bar! The bartenders were lovely and engaging. The house red Cabernet Sauvignon is delicious, available in a 6 or 9 ounce pour. They're open until 10pm except Friday & Saturday when they're open until 11pm. The area of the hotel where the bar is located is beautiful- wood, leather accents, and gorgeous stained glass windows. I'll definitely go back here for a drink sometime. They have Happy Hour too- Tuesday through Friday, 5-630pm

Yelp
Came here for an evening dinner while staying in the hotel. I would honestly dine here even if we were not. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous with old looking decor, but really nice new additions to the place so it looks really well-maintained and well done. We ordered nearly half the menu, including the pate, and terrine, and the French onion soup, the hamburger, rolls, hasselback potato, fries, Brussels. Was not a fan of the French onion soup it was super watery, but otherwise absolutely everything else was astonishingly delicious I think that it was just off that night! we had a total of eight cocktails. (All different and very unique tasting.)

Yelp
Had my first Shirley Temple at the Bar with my Grandfater 1953. Followed by a Lobster. Also a first. I was 7or 8 at the time. Came through in 2015. Had a Bourbon on the Rocks with a dash of Biters. My Grandfather's drink with Old Fitzgerald. I could not afford that. Born in KCM April 1946

Yelp
Stayed at the hotel and had our dinner delivered to our room and it felt like we were dining downstairs. After a 9 Hour Dr. we just really wanted some delicious food and to relax and chat boxes on all fronts! Service was friendly and very generous. The food was phenomenal! We got four orders of those tiny oysters make a dozen that were the most crisp refreshing, watermelon meets lychee, flavored! Absolutely spectacular. The crab fingers were a delicious delight, perfect seasoning and innovative dish. My husband had the dock and found it to have robust flavors and perfectly prepared! Drop the nine dollars and get the rolls, they are amazing... You can just eat that garlic butter by itself. I had the cacio e Pepe with porcini mushrooms which also hit the spot! Great portion, sizes and filling, but not stuffed. Definitely if you're looking for a place to eat don't think twice stop here! If we ate in the restaurant, we would be raving about the ambience because we did poke our head in and it looks very sexy!

Yelp
I came here to take my family out and was blown away by the service and food offered! The inside of the savoy provides a lot of rich Kansas City history with a live band playing in the background while enjoying food and drinks. This spot is a great recommendation for those who want a taste of kc that are out of town!

Yelp
Decided on Easter brunch at the Savoy, and it was a great experience! There was a 3 course fixed price menu for Easter, and it was definitely a better deal than ordering à la carte! The burrata appetizer course was very delicious and compelling, and the Comte quiche was honestly the best quiche I've ever had! It was so fluffy and smooth and full of spring vegetables! The chocolate dessert course was so decadent and delicious that I didn't even take a picture! Everything my girlfriend ordered also looked delicious! The vibes inside the restaurant were super cool! Lots of interesting art and furniture! Seems like a great place to grab drinks, I'll definitely need to come for happy hour sometime. The main entrance is on 9th street, but the host stand is on the opposite side of the restaurant at the entrance into the hotel, so don't awkwardly stand at the 9th street entrance like I did. Parking is a bit of a struggle depending on how busy it is downtown, but you'll have to find street parking. Make sure to check out the art in the hotel before you leave! I miss the headless boy that used to be in the window!

Yelp
What a gorgeous atmosphere! I haven't been to the Savoy in almost 15 years and decided to take advantage of Restaurant Week to visit. The building and architecture is lovely and perfect for a date night. The bar is nice and with a good cocktail menu. Our bartender mixed a perfect French 75. They do have a $35 corkage fee if you decide to bring your own wine. The service is also great. Our waiter Riley was awesome. We loved the Prince Edward Island raw oysters and I had the white cheddar rillettes and my husband started with the squash soup. The rillettes was somewhat heavy and should be shared. The soup was packed with flavor and a bit of jalapeno heat. Our entrees were the duck confit gnocchetti (amazing!) and the Berkshire pork shoulder. Both were full of flavor and tasted like a lot of time and care went into the preparation. Dessert was the dark chocolate mousse cake (pretty heavy on the sesame) and the coconut rice pudding (had a wonderful pistachio crumble that sold the dish). Over-all The Savoy is a quiet, intimate, cozy place to enjoy a date night or dinner with friends!

Haven't been here in a very long time. Refreshed with a bit more of a modern look while still preserving the historic character of the place. Decent cocktails but outrageously priced, even for the venue.

Yelp
What an incredible jewel ! We initially came in for the First Fridays Tipsy Tour but it had been cancelled. The GM the restaurant took major care of us all while running his busy Friday Night crowd. As we waited on complimentary cocktails he would stop by and see if we had questions and gave us history insight in the restaurant. While standing there waiting soo many amazing plates of food and drinks kept passing us by we decided to have dinner there. We had the Blue Crab fingers as an appetizer. Their seasonal cocktail selection was great, we had the Winner Winner and the Blond Brew Beer both excellent! We both enjoyed the perfectly grilled cheeseburger entree and their famous fries that were to die for. The service was great, I believe every waiter, host, bartender greeted us or asked us if we needed anything. Definitely now one of our favorite spots.

Yelp
Run, do not walk here! This place is absolutely amazing. Mike, the bartender, is a drink connoisseur- man, does he know how to make incredible cocktails! He is knowledgeable and even let me try a drink he's been working on and it was delicious! The food was so good - ordered the dover sole, French fries and grilled broccolini. For dessert, I ordered the pineapple affogato. Man, it was all so scrumptious!! Your taste buds will thank you for coming here.

Yelp
We came for Easter brunch and it was a great experience! Definitely pricey but they had a fixed menu that we decided to do. I got a melon and prosciutto appetizer that was the best cantaloupe I have ever had! The banana french toast was good but maybe not quite special enough for the price. My friends got the quiche which they enjoyed! My peach bellini was perfect. I loved the vibes in the Savoy and I'd love to go back for happy hour!

Yelp
We just recently moved here for California and were searching for a restaurant for Christmas Eve. We loved the upscale vibe and the history of the restaurant and the knowledge or server had in telling us about it was facinating.Coming from Cali we love Oysters and they are flown in here every three days and did not disappoint! I had the Mahi and it was PERFECT! Our server Ty was lovely and literally wrote down over 8 different place s we needed to try out. Spent time talking to us at our table yet attentive to his other tables as well. He's an aspiring Sommelier and travels the world to get that accomplished! So you wine lovers ask for TY!

Yelp
I really don't know why I waited so long to write a review on this place. I've been here nearly 10 times and have had the prime rib on fully half of those visits. First of all the setting is amazing. Inside the 21C hotel and adjacent to a phenomenal art gallery that you can peruse before dinner. The art spills its way into the dining room where the art deco decor is a work of art on its own. If you can, request the Harry Truman booth. It's cozy and dark presidents favorite. Onto the meal, everything was a knock out of culinary creativity. From the complementary amuse Bouche which consisted of barbecue carrots, Sherry soaked raisins and fresh dill. It was a burst of complex flavor to start the evening. Started with a salad of new season and asparagus Salad of New season asparagus with blood orange, mimolette cheese & black truffle vinaigrette And a delicate yet flavorful escargot tortellini in a light cream/butter sauce. For the main course I can't draw is you drop whatever you're doing and go eat the prime rib at the Savoy! It is hands-down the best I have ever had. The Black pepper crusted prime beef rib with pommes dauphine, horseradish, & fine herbs is delicate and hearty at the same time. New addition to the menu was the fried Brussels sprouts Fried Brussels sprouts with honey mustard, bacon, house aioli, apple butter. With no possible room to squeeze dessert and I asked for the check which was accompanied by a complementary blue raspberry cotton candy. Service and ambience are perfect. Stop reading and go now!

Yelp
Savoy is right there at the top of the list in KC restaurants that present menu options that taste just as good as it looks! Our trip to Savoy was during their Restaurant Week dinner menu that offered four amazing courses. Our table sampled three different appetizers that included the Smoked Pork Lumpias, Hushpuppies, and Brown Butter Raviolis. I thought that the lumpias and hushpuppies were both good, but did not rival the amazing taste of the raviolis. The brown butter sauce elevated the dish to another level. For our main courses, we got the Savoy Smoked Duck, BBQ Spare Ribs, and the Salt Creek Farm Delmonico. These entrees were some of the best food I have had in a long time! The steak cut was cooked extremely well and retained so much of its flavor. The Okonomiyaki BBQ spare ribs was my favorite dish of the night. The meat slid right off the bone, while the sauce and additions on top packed in so much flavor. The smoked duck was also exceptional. This dish really stood out when it was brought out on a silver platter. However, from a flavor standpoint, it cannot compare to the other two entrees. The sides and dessert options that we got were also beautiful and tasty! I would highly recommend the Fried Brussels Sprouts as a great side dish and the Cranberry Cobbler to add a little sweetness to finish your meal. Our visit to Savoy definitely impressed. Strict Covid protocols were followed and enforced by the restaurant. In addition to the amazing food, extra on the house things like a small palate teaser to start and a cotton candy treat at the end, really left a lasting impression. I will definitely be back to explore their regular menu options!

Yelp
Favorite hotel Bar/Restaurant in KC. Love the drinks (Saturn is my favorite) and some really good small plates. Burger never misses either.

Yelp
We have been to The Savoy many times and have always enjoyed our experience. Tonight was a different story. There were four of us, two of us wanted white wine. They only offer 3 white wines by the glass - none of which appealed to us. We asked the waiter if we could get Pinot Grigio by the glass and he said we could not so we decided to order a bottle. He highly recommended a particular bottle for $56. We agreed but he soon came back saying they no longer had that wine but they had another nice Pinot Grigio. We asked the price and he said $96. Most nice restaurants would've offered it for the price of the one they originally recommended. Our waiter said he'd send the manager over to see if he could do that. Enter a nerdy guy with a very rude personality who said he was not going to just give that pricier bottle away. His name was Van. He was so rude that we all got up and left. If he had just been nicer about it we could've easily ordered a Chardonnay or a cocktail instead. He was such a turn off! Sad to say - none of us will go back

Yelp
The good: cocktails and Truman historic booth. The not -great: dark lighting and huge red light at entrance. Food overly salted and expensive.

Yelp
Happy Hour @thesavoykc Best dishes: cauliflower with green goddess and chili (the heat was great), the double patti burger (American cheese!) and the beef tartare (the sweet carrot and spicy green garlic sauce - it did need salt). Dishes that need work: white cheddar rillettes (just too many flavors this dish needs editing also the brioche is too rich for the cheese) and the razor clam spaghetti (the wasabi roe over powered the clams and the broken spaghetti, just pick a smaller pasta).

Yelp
I had an amazing experience and opportunity to organize with The Savoy for the night I proposed to my fiancé. I worked with Taylor with the Director of Food and Beverage at Savoy, who kindly and patiently exchange emails with me to create my special five course menu for my fiancé and I. He worked with me to make sure any food allergies and avoidances were not included on our menu. Our experience included dining in the Little Savoy(a small intimate and secluded room inside the restaurant), the five course meal, and wine pairing for each individual item on the menu. Each course tasted amazing (see below for each of our special five course) and the wine pairing was wonderful even though they were working with limited wines due to Valentine's Day during the previous week and Restaurant Week which was less than a month prior. Course 1- - Endive & Spinach Salad, walnut, tarragon, champagne. Paired with Nymphea Rose by Domaine Les Amphillanthes - Heirloom Squash Soup, crème fraiche, sage, jalapeño. Paired with François Cazin - "Vendanges Manuelles" Cour-Cheverny - 2019 Course 2- - Duck Confit Gnocchetti, radish, spinach, parmesan, egg yolk. Paired with Côtes du Rhône by Domaine La Manarine - Garlic & Chickpea Panisse, brussels sprout, oyster mushroom, hazelnut, romesco. Paired with CHEVERNY( red wine). Course 3 - Maine Diver Scallops, fennel, mushroom, collard greens, chili oil, rice grits. Paired with Poco a Poco Mendocino County Chardonnay 2019. - Loch Duart Salmon, cauliflower, grapefruit, sauce vierge. Paired with Poco a Poco Mendocino County Chardonnay 2019. Course 4 - Lamb shoulder, mint, groats, date, black radish, lemon. Paired with Savoy by Field Recordings(Paso Robles, California). - Piedmontese Beef Culotte, hen of the woods, salsify, black garlic. Paired with Savoy by Field Recordings(Paso Robles, California). Course 5 - Dark chocolate ganache, pomegranate, black lime, cocoa. Paired with Quinta do Noval Fine Ruby Porto. - Rhum Baba, golden raisin, cinnamon, pineapple. Paired with Domaine Hubert Clavelin Cremant du Jura Brut Comte.

Yelp
Some local bartenders recommended this restaurant. My server was wonderful and suggested the roasted duck. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The tomatoes were delightful with the aged balsamic vinegar. I will definitely stop by again on my next trip to KC.

Yelp
We tried this place for restaurant week. Absolutely lovely! The decor is historic, the service was excellent, the ambience felt rustic and perfectly made for a fun night out or a date night. The pork loin and beets were some of our favorite dishes as well as their scallops appetizer

Yelp
We had a mixed experience. The good: Beautiful interior. Delicious cocktails- Loved the Jolla cocktail! Paloma cocktail was yummy. Duck bolognese was very nice. The not-great: We got a dozen oysters, all the same type- 2 staff members told us two different places that the oysters were from (one said Virginia, one said.... Michigan). Some toward the end tasted VERY off/funky (we took charcoal pills after the meal in case they weren't okay). Service was nice but seemed pretty green, lacked knowledge about some of the menu.

Yelp
Wonderful food, drinks and service. The Paloma and old fashion were spot on. Our steak was cooked perfectly and the pasta was delicious

Yelp
The service was decent. We were in a rush and i asked if we could order apps with our drinks, and server said let me get all the drinks first (party of 16). Kinda get it, but we had plans after dinner for a timely matter, so a little l frustrating. We got 3 apps; Burrata, foie gras, and crab fingers- none impressive I'm a big oyster fan and they promoted half off oysters for the first friday of the month ( I was sold) BIG MISTAKE. They didn't taste fresh at all, and weren't chilled. Tasted meh and room temp. Had High hopes, but won't be back again. Hopefully others have a better experience, cool ambiance.

Yelp
What a great place. I ate at the bar and Alexandra did a fantastic job. The foie gras is fantastic (Get a glass of sauternes with it) and the mahi mahi was cooked perfectly with a great crunch, nice spice and amazing rice. I wouldnt hesitate to go back.
