Yelp
(Drank 10/17/21 SU @ 11:30am): How have I never seen or heard of this place before even after I lived in North Hollywood for several years!?
Thanks to Groupon, I found out about The Scene and decided to make a scene during some early NFL Sunday games https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=BjmqGHBMTzU8WX1ISGMkJw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. I LOVED dive bars, so how this place was completely off my radar especially since I lived nearby years ago was completely odd to me. Now that I finally "found" this place, would I be a regular "diver"!?

Corn Nuts Chili Picante Flavor 1.7oz Bag ($1.50): I had these on the-go on my way to another place; not very hot or spicy https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=9Kl-YprusZsuhr-7UrAh3Q&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw.
SERVICE
Greeted by Amber the friendly bartender, she first asked for proof of my COVID-19 vaccination since that was the mandate during this time. Once that was done, it was time to get my groove on, chat her up, she gave me the rundown of the place, and the drinks were soon flowing. Maybe she mentioned something, but out of the blue a gigantic pepperoni pizza appeared and was FREE for everyone in the bar... so of course I had a couple slices https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=2vRcVvyzQ1IJJXiwPufr7w&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw! Amber was the bomb... and next time I needed to try that "wet pussy" cocktail she made for another patron.
PARKING (FREE)
Located within a western-style saloon strip mall, they shared a medium parking lot with several businesses. Otherwise, there was plenty of parking along the main drag of Saticoy St. - 'nuff said.
ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE
A cozy somewhat seedy dive bar by every known definition as the regulars (I saw only men), slowly rolled in, there was a tawdry display of bras on the wall https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=1EcKHwBa0e8znrdzKxNuaA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw, random sexualized paintings https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=QfaEVBwUa-PrZyKolL0_pg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw, random movie pictures https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=ytiu8m3j-7gqF-SbRwS_Xw&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw, dollar bills hung from the ceiling and walls https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=mIwoi2TM5nrkIMfDFPVhyA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw, and much more! Plenty of tall stools along the walls as well as at the bar. Zero natural lighting while dimly-lit electric lanterns and the glow from the many TVs guided your way. There were several TVs throughout although I didn't recall any background music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=n80jVfqB00wAeeKjb7YiRQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw
ATTIRE
Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops.
OVERALL
The Scene was all that and a bag of chips (two bags in my case!) and definitely planned to return hopefully with friends. From inexpensive prices, stiff-enough drinks, decent alcohol selection, FREE food, random friendly strangers, etc., this place was divey awesomeness! They also opened early and closed late https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=JPiww6rUaR61nVXkrmdx_Q&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw, allowed outside food, and held special promotional events. I found complete value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $21.00 BEFORE any discounts/tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 5.0 STARS
