This place has a really bad smell to it. Right when you enter the place. It's crazy because I went in and went out less than 30 seconds. And I feel like the smell stayed with me and in my car. The place looks really dirty and disgusting. I would definitely never recommend anyone. Try anything from here. The place looks like it's never been clean. The health inspector definitely needs to come check this out. If you think I'm lying, you literally need to do is walk in and take a whiff. That's not healthy. I don't care if the drinks are cheap. If they're dirty and unsanitized, you could count me out. All they have is this one big sized bartender. And like 2 people in it. The place definitely has a sketchy vibe. You could tell if you wanna come to this bar. You should probably bring a gun with you vibe

Be careful as the spirochetes in the urinal can travel up your pee stream into your urethra here. ... People seem fairly nice there and the lady bartending was cool. They have air conditioning, electric darts, a jukebox.... What more do you need ?

Doc is super funny his wifey is a great singer. Drinks are strong and cheap. The regulars are friendly. Fights break out every so often but overall it's a cool divey bar. Karaoke nights are fun :) come with an open mind and let the good times roll!

I stopped by The Scene for a drink on April 24 and had a pretty disappointing experience. Josh was the bartender on shift. At first, everything seemed normal, but after a few minutes, I started to notice some troubling behavior. Josh appeared to treat customers very differently based on whether or not they tipped him. I witnessed him rudely tell off a customer who questioned a charge on their credit card, saying something along the lines of "go fuck off, you don't even tip, you can't drink anymore." That kind of behavior is completely unprofessional. Tips are appreciated, but they're not mandatory--especially not a requirement for basic respect. It also seemed like Josh only prioritized regulars or those who tipped well. New customers were ignored or served with a bad attitude. It was clear he plays favorites and doesn't provide good service across the board. Overall, I left with a bad impression. A bartender should be welcoming to everyone, not just those who tip big or come in often.

I've been to the Scene twice already and it's a cool local dive bar honestly. The crowd has been fun. They have a juke box for music. I went on a Friday and I met fun people there. Seems like most are locals and regulars. They have this cool ceiling filled with money. Check it out if you're around the area. I left at 2am when it closed and a lot of people were also just leaving. I will keep coming back.

Cool old school sports bar. Loved the history of this spot, authentic and a great chill bar. Interior decor is cinematic, Tarantino-esque. Service is great. Great spot for an afternoon cooler. Place also has complimentary popcorn. Cool spot!

I like this bar because it's right next to my house and I can just walk there and the drinks are pretty good they make them strong! I just don't like the blonde lady there she's really rude and if you give her your card to open your tab she will literally give herself a tip so please be careful and just get your drinks and pay. DO NOT GIVE HER YOUR CARD. I recently went and until later on I found out she gave herself almost $40 of tip can you believe that? lol

Yelp has seldom failed to recommend great dive bars to me. The Scene is no exception. Adele is one of the greatest bartenders I've had the pleasure of being served Coors y Cazadores by. If you ever find yourself in Hollywood, hit up The Scene. Great bar, great people and great Adele!

Do not come here unless you are Latino. The young Latinx bartender was rude--he saw us walk in and sit down at the end of the bar...he did not acknowledge us, and even tuned his back and leaned on the bar to have a cozy conversation with some jaina. We had to walk to the other side of the bar to order. The bar top was a mess, filled with empty glassware and trash. Mind you, it was a weeknight and not busy. I'm willing to bet he does not change the sink water. Pro's: cheap drinks, but the ambiance is ruined by thugs bouncing around and rapping out of tune to songs laiden with gun shots. Ghetto, and not fabulous in the slightest.

Hard to find an amazing dive bar but this one might be the best kept secret in LA. Great music and the bartender Adela was the best! I used to live in Brooklyn and this felt like an old school dive in New York. Highly recommend.

It's a small, cool, old school, red vinyl, Americana bar with lucky dollars pinned to the ceilings. Juke box (playing classic rock that night), Electronic Darts, People were friendly, bartender was cool, drinks were good. It's very chill bar. We went there on Saturday afternoon since another bar was long wait and we really grateful that we found this place. My friends and I really enjoy playing darts here and we love how they have free popcorn!!

I've been to some awful bars in the SFV , but let me tell you: this is by far the worst . If you are out looking to have a few drinks with friends and a good time. Maybe, meet some interesting people: forget it. You are better off grabbing a few bottles of Old English and hanging out in an alley with some hobos than coming here. I gave this spot multiple chances, and: nah it doesn't get any better. The owner doesn't give two S**ts and one F**k and it shows. Expect shi*t service and obnoxious regulars who definitely need AA or some divine intervention . If you have been banned from every dive bar , strip club, liquor store, 711 parking lot, back alley, underpass; I still wouldn't recommend this god forsaken sh*t hole.

I went live on Instagram and they screamed in my face and took my phone and refused to give it back. I didn't know they would get upset. I even got pushed by the man who held my phone from me! I'm a 23 year old girl and they weren't letting me have my phone all because I was live on IG.

The go to spot on a night when there isn't anything to do. You can't beat cheap drinks (pretty strong) at cheap prices. The crowd sometimes gets down with karaoking lol. This place I heard is a Raider's bar (hmmmm I don't know about that). I really like this place. Parking sucks though.

On game days they have even cheaper options (usually pitchers) ideal for especially a small group Bartenders make it a habit of remembering your name even after the first visit. Friendly, hard, full of work beaten people looking to unwind and make conversation. Friendly bartender. Made me feel right at home. If your here during after work hours during the week don't expect a big party happening but on weekends it's packed so good luck getting a drink.

Stumbled across this bar on my home to LA and had a great time and great drinks. My partner ordered a beer and I ordered a Zombie and OMG is all I can say, the bartender hooked it up and made it pretty strong but great to drink. As we sat and were talking, there was a very obnoxious lady who was drunk and insisted on driving drunk even though she couldn't even back out of the lot. The bartender told her to sober up and if she goes any further, he will call the police. Long story short, he made sure safety was first and then came back in from dealing with her to give everyone shots on the house.....Now that's my type of bar, will definitely be back if ever in the area!!!!

Things that I love about this place: 1) Doc and Bonnie (both owners and bartenders) are awesome! They really know how to treat their regulars. Yup, I'm one of them! :) 2) Drinks are strong and CHEAP! Yummy too. Ask Doc for a Sweet Tart shot. Or have him surprise you. 3) My friends(one of the is Cheryl M.) brought me here and when we come we ALWAYS have a good time. 4) Patrons here are always friendly. 5) There's a jukebox here that always plays all my favorite kind of music, but there is no dance floor. 6) Doc is all the entertainment you will ever need. He'll dance behind the bar and always make you smile. 1 star off for parking (because it's so small and sucks) and the smoking inside the bar, which I normally forget about after all the drinks. LOL I have to admit though that it hasn't stopped me from coming back. If you want to visit me, I'm normally here on Thursday nights. See yah there! :)

The Scene. Your friendly neighborhood dive bar where majority of it's crowd are local residents who come to socialize and drink, obviously! I find it odd that I don't visit this place too often when this place is just a couple miles away from me. Even though I don't visit this place too often, I always have a good time here. The decor is very unique and the drinks are inexpensive. Not much to complain about this place. Only thing I did have trouble with was getting the bartenders attention when I first got there. If you don't know these bartenders on a personal level like the rest of the locals do, then you might have slight trouble getting their attention for service. Other than that, it's a chill little spot where you come out just to hang out and have some drinks. I would recommended to come in advance for seating. Parking here is very limited and everyone tends to double park in the very small parking lot of the bar. If you decide to park on the street, make sure to read the street signs before hand. My interaction with the owner was great. This guy is very interesting and seems to have a great sense of humor. I'll be back soon.

The Scene is by far one of the most awesome dive bars around - And in one of the most random locations too. The entire ceiling is covered in money, a variety of denominations signed by the tippers. You'll even find a handful of bras hanging about, they too are signed by the previous owners. The vibe is contagious. Everyone is having a good time and very social I must admit most of the good vibes are radiating off of bartender/owner Doc. That's as much as i can say because there are not many words that accurately describe him. Drinks are cheap,like $4 or $5 and ridiculously strong. The only downside is the crowd can get a little young and sloppy on the weekends, but during the week you'll mostly find regulars who tend to fall into the over 30 crowd. You'll also find bartender Adela there during the week and she's a spitfire (and super cute, i seriously want to put her in my pocket).

Walked in and walked out. The crowd seemed a lil rough, the girl sitting at the bar with her bf was over served and wasted. When she went to reach for me and her bf stopped her, I turned and walked out. Place was a lil seedy, not welcoming and dirty. Its shady!

The Scene is the SPOT! Doc and his wife, Bonnie are the Best and I forgot the other bartenders name but he is also AWESOME!! The drinks here are always strong and the beer are always flowing. Hubby and I went on a Saturday night and we got 2 beers, two shots of tequila for $18 bucks. Also, Doc's signature Purple Nurple or Purple Nipple, LOL!! They also have a nice jukebox that plays all the jams!

Haven't been here in a long time but as always it's a good time. Hanging out with adela before rehearsal was a pleasure. Good bar good people and great prices!!! And tons of respect for the sober driver!! Love the scene !!

Fun place to be. Darts and karaoke. It is small and parking kind of is on the horrid side. I live close enough to walk. Order an Uber if your there drinking guys... Duh. Avoid a DUI.

Cheap spot very good selection of beer and prices are really reasonable I like to come here with groups once in awhile and it also comes out very cheap when it comes to the end I highly recommend this time since it is very very low key and has a good bike the bartenders are also very friendly and so is the security guard in the front don't forget to leave a good tip!

Cool little dive spot on the North Hollywood/Panorama border on Saticoy in the corner of a small plaza. A great place to watch sports with several TVs darts and and jukebox. As a bonus free self serve popcorn. Decent beer and draft selection with full bar liqs. For decor, the place is adorned with dollar bills on the ceiling along with bras. I didn't notice anyone in attendance take theirs off while I was there although there were a bunch of dudes at the time. I don't live in the area but my storage unit is near by and I use it as an excuse to come by and have a drink every now and then.

I have been to this bar quite a few times. It's always very busy. The bartender is so friendly and the Atmosphere is very laid back. There are plenty of good looking girls there. The beer selection is great. Also there is a large area out front so if you are a smoker you will have plenty of room to smoke. Most of the people who are there are smokers so there are plenty of girls to chat with while you smoke. Lots of the girls are not afraid to ask you for a cigarette

Bartender was mad at someone else and took it out on me. After politely telling him he was not being nice to me, he didn't even care. He was upset that he had to pour me water, instead of taking shots with his regulars. This place is for regulars and not for anyone trying to try new places.

This place is awesome. Ive been coming here for sometime and this has to be one of the best dive bars in the valley. The atmosphere and crowd is just right. You can come here with a small or large crowd. The drinks are really good and the prices are incredible. Start your night off with a 12 dollar pitcher of shocktop and end it with a shot of Remy VSOP. Great place to grab a cold one or watch your team win the World Series. If you like urban dive lounges with a cool low key vibe this is the spot for you. Best wacky bartenders in town (ASK FOR ADELA ), Awesome service! I'll definitely be going back
