This is a regular “nothing special” hair salon, coz if they are not, they cannot run their business. Correct? That means, service is okay-mediocre. BUT, being a regular, nothing special salon, they are using low and cheap tactics to save their money, bringing huge inconvenience, frustration and being disrespected by the staff when the payment is done for the service.
Breakdown of the money saving MALPRACTICE:
1. They don’t accept Credit card, meaning, difficulty for the customers in paying money using their debit cards. So many customers got issues right when my wife went there. Owners are saving money for not using credit card services, which is causing huge inconvenience for customers.
2. When debit card doesn’t work, they yell at the customers that Visa and Mastercards are not accepted. What????? Then how are debit cards supposed to work? Are they crazy?
3. They will allow e-transfers. BUT they don’t have auto-debit set on their account. Meaning?? For the money transfer to a commercial account, we ended up paying $3 additional fee for eTransfers which are supposed to be free when money is sent to individual accounts. No auto-debit leads to customers have to set up secret question-answer for them to receive money. That also means money will not reach them instantly, but will take 30 + minutes. Then what? They will call and check with their owners and of course they wouldn’t have received the email of the money transfer. Then the hell will break on the customers. What’s that? Disrespectfully, they will ask you to leave the phone in the shop and go get money/cash to take the phone away. Whattttt? Shameless shop policy and money transaction and shameless stingy owners, because you are saving money for not using credit cards, not setting up a proper money transfer practice by not having auto-debit in their account, they are disrespecting us customers??
4. They take money. Meaning??? No record of their money transactions. They are fooling CRA and saving money by NOT PAYING TAXES. This is shameless and this is illegal.
I’m not going to report them to any competent authorities since they are small business, but they better buckle up and get better. Be honest, use credit card options for customers to pay money easily, and stop disrespecting customers by asking them to leave their phones and go bring money from home.
Interestingly, employees are made to do this. So we cannot yell or be angry at the employees. Employees will put the blame on the owners that they have made these policies, what can they do? And obviously, owners will never do anything coz they are never there to hear these grunts from the customers. TAX EVADERS.
5. Then they will expect Tip?? For disrespecting us??????
6. SHAME SHAME…. You take money without any record of it…. BUT you also charge tax on it.??Where does that money go?? In your pocket. And YOU DON’T PAY TAX ON THAT MONEY.

This was our first and the last visit here. We would never go there, and we also recommend try other “honest” salons than going to these tax evaders being disrespectful to their customers.
