I recently organized our company holiday party at The Scott Resort & Spa, and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. The event was a success, and our decision to choose The Scott was an easy one thanks to its ideal location, excellent value, beautiful amenities, comprehensive event packages, and—most importantly—exceptional customer service. Out of the six to nine venues I toured, Maddie at The Scott was the only person who proactively reached out and invited me in for a tour. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a warm smile, a welcoming demeanor, and even a thoughtful gift—an impressive first impression. Once we secured the venue, Donna Eastwood, our Events Coordinator, was attentive, kind, and incredibly organized throughout the entire planning process. Norma and the Banquets team, along with their department head, were eager to assist and ensured everything ran smoothly. Avis in Reservations was also wonderful, helping us seamlessly manage our guest room block. From beginning to end, the level of service, professionalism, and genuine hospitality was outstanding. The property itself is stunning, rich in history, and impeccably maintained, which made our event even more memorable. I sincerely hope these team members receive recognition for their hard work—whether through acknowledgment, time off, or a well-deserved bonus. If you are searching for a venue for a special occasion, I wholeheartedly recommend The Scott Resort & Spa. You’ll find not only a beautiful setting, but a team that truly cares about delivering an exceptional experience.

Well maintained vintage hotel with rooms that are large, updated and well appointed. The bed and linens were luxurious and super comfortable. They had plenty of staff that were always courteous and helpful. The property is very large and spread out but grounds were immaculate and well maintained. The pool was very clean. The meeting rooms were conducive for business and the staff unobtrusive...they were readily present but you really didn't know they were there. I wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy everything they had to offer.

There were some really good parts but mostly it wasn’t worth the price.||Location is good—walkable to lots of shopping, restaurants, etc. Ubers and Waymo readily available. But the hotel has a shuttle that will drive you anywhere in a 3 mile radius. We found this out on last day.||When we checked in we were not made aware of shuttle or any other amenities. We found gym on our own and it was nice. Food at restaurants was good. ||Do not under any circumstances accept an even numbered room in the Agua Dulce building if you’d like to sleep past 5:30am. The staff are dragging carts in front of that building constantly from 5:30-7:30am. We stayed 3 nights, and were consistently woken up by this. ||The door men were really nice as was the pool bartender. Pools are allegedly heated but the water was freezing.

Our stay had both highlights and disappointments. There was a noticeable lack of hospitality — no greetings or warm interactions from the front desk, which set a cold tone for the visit and continued on throughout our stay with all hotel staff interactions. Internal calls went unanswered multiple times, which made simple requests frustrating. Calls were only responded to when we used our cell phones. There was a wedding and hosted reception held directly outside our room on 2 nights of our stay, which made it nearly impossible to relax or sleep. The music, laughter, and crowd noise went late into the evening, and it felt as though the event was happening inside our room rather than outside of it. We understand and appreciate that events are part of the resort experience, but hosting one directly beside guest accommodations without notice or any sound consideration was extremely disruptive. A simple heads-up or a room change option would have gone a long way in ensuring a more comfortable and enjoyable stay. The TV system was confusing and unreliable, and the salsa (a small detail, but telling) was genuinely terrible. On the positive side, the spa providers were excellent — professional, kind, and skilled. The Bell-Aire driver was also wonderful — friendly, helpful, and made getting around easy. The resort grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, and our room was very clean. Overall, there’s a great vibe and potential here, but the guest experience could be much better with more warmth and attention to detail.

I was here for a 2-day work event, with about 150 colleagues last week; it was a great experience. The hotel was beautifully decorated, the pool area was amazing, and the rooms were top-notch! Very clean, and just a great vibe overall.

Very nice, but i wouldn't say worth the price. The lobby is gorgeous! the pool area - gorgeous, although the pool is FREEZING and don't expect to get a lot of sun as the palm trees make it pretty shaded in most areas which is either good or bad. (We are from WI so wanted all the sun we could get). The room - which was just a standard room, was pretty...standard. Cuban decor was neat and lovely but all in all, it was a rather small, ordinary room. Small bathroom, low ceilings, mini bar that i didn't dare take anything from. Not worth the $650/night. For that amount, i would expect near luxury. We were only there for 1 night so we didn't take part in a lot of amenities. Great location though. I will say - we got there early and they let us check in almost 4 hours early which was very much appreciated!

The hotel is fine but old and it shows in the bathrooms. Our shower has discoloration and for some reason the plumbing was installed backwards on the sink. At the special price we were able to get with a Black Friday deal it was fine (like 550.00 a night) but when we asked about extending our stay one day because our plane was cancelled we were quoted over $800 for the night. There were many empty rooms as it was a Monday night. We checked in next door for half the price. Four glasses of a basic wine at the bar was over $100 before tip. Lunch for four ( sandwiches and two beers each ) was over $250. This is a nice hotel and the staff were very helpful but it’s priced like the Ritz Carlton and it’s not that.

My husband and I had a great time at the Scott Resort. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The pool wasn't too busy and had plenty of seating. Pool bar was nice but drinks are about $20. There were lots of other areas on the property to relax outside as well including fire pits that they light at night. Our room was spacious. We had a king room with a couch area. The bed was comfortable. We did end up getting a room with a street view instead of a pool view due to a system error between my credit card that I booked through and they worked with me to refund the difference or move rooms. Street view was loud when on the patio so would definitely recommend paying the extra for the other view options. We used the complimentary shuttle service a few times which was fast and easy to use. I used the spa as well for a message and it was very relaxing and the masseuse did great.

I did not stay here, but had a full day here. I had spa reservations that were connected to this resort that were absolutely amazing. From my first impression, I was greeted by a manager at the resort front desk and he was extremely helpful. I was so impressed with the him with the people that were in line in front of me. He handled a discrepancy with grace and poise. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and the staff is always close by for anything you need. We left our spa experience feeling great and wanted to check out the hot in and pool. The pool was closed, but it was a fairly chilly day so we lounged by the hot tub. The Canal Club restaurant inside the resort was absolutely amazing and Mikayla was on top of everything. I had a wonderful day and this place and people was the reason.

Love the lounge and restaurant beautiful chic Havana vibe. The room was lovely with a courtyard only thing was the bathroom lights took 1-2 mins to turn on. I hate carpets but it had a mix of carpet and wood floors. Would have been nice to have some slippers. We stayed for nyE and it was really nice. Walls are thin to hallway so we did hear people but it wasn't early around 9am. I would recommend this place for sure for a nice hip hotel to stay at. Just a few tweaks that didn't get the 5 stars from me.

The Scott Resort and Spa is undeniably beautiful, and we were so excited to stay there. The resort offers amazing amenities like cornhole, a spacious lawn for the kids to play on, giant Connect 4, chess in the bar/lobby area, two gorgeous pools (one with a beach entrance), several seating areas with cozy bonfires, and an overall aesthetic vibe that's perfect for relaxation. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by an issue with the air conditioning. After returning from dinner, we found the room to be nearly 80 degrees with no functioning A/C. Since the windows don't open and the French doors lack screens, airing out the room wasn't possible without letting critters in. We were informed that no other rooms with working A/C were available, and while a fan was provided, it wasn't enough to make the room comfortable. This was especially disappointing for our family of four, including two small children, who were eager to enjoy everything the resort had to offer. Instead, we had to repack and find alternative lodging on Christmas Eve--a stressful and disheartening experience during what was supposed to be a special holiday getaway. It's such a shame because the resort has so much potential to create a wonderful stay.

At $531.33 a night, I was expecting no issues during our staycation to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our stay was definitely memorable, but not in a good way. Upon checking in our room, we heard hammering/banging next door. Amorous neighbors? No, but something was definitely getting nailed over there. I figured they're making some repairs as it is an older hotel. At one point the banging became increasingly faster and louder, and then there was silence. They're done finally! Nope, they started up again. This would continue for 1.5 hours. We called the front desk to complain. They offered to move us to a different room but it would have been a downgrade. The room was nice and clean. The Old Havana style was charming and the bed was comfy. The WiFi signal was strong and the speed was fast, so I'm not sure why they sent someone to enter our room the next morning to check it out. They couldn't have waited until after we checked out? Would I recommend this hotel? Great Scott, NO!

This resort was absolutely amazing! The pool was very nice and I loved the non-alcoholic pina coladas. The service was great and all the workers were really nice to us. The gym was not the best not a lot of options but other than that this resort was phenomenal and I will definitely come back if im in Glendale again.

Arrived here on the weekend for our staycation/anniversary. Check in was easy and the lobby had plenty of seating and tables. It also has the bar and restaurant. My husband booked us on the top floor east side of the building facing the pool. The room was clean, spacious, inviting and comfortable...or so I thought. After about 10 minutes getting settled in, the room next door started banging what sounded like a hammer on something. Loud voices and laughter. We tried to ignore the loud noises until the banging started to become annoying after about 20 minutes. I called the front desk to see if there was on site construction going on or if they were guests. The front desk person offered to call next door to have them keep the noise down. I asked what were the options for changing rooms a few doors down but noted it wouldn't be the same room amenities. We would basically be downgraded. I then proceeded to ask if there was a possible construction going on to which the receptionist told me she did not know and would have to call to the engineers. Long story short, the noises stopped. I suspected it was the engineers because we seen two employees walking out. Luckily we didn't have an issues with the noises the rest of the night except for the loud door slamming throughout the hall. Warning if you're a light sleeper. The next morning, we had breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Our waitress was super nice and accommodating however had a super bad cough. So bad she had to go to the back and cough it out. We didn't mind but felt bad for the waitress for she was the only person there serving 4 other tables. The food was great! I enjoyed my pizza breakfast. The coffee was meh...needed more coffee flavor. We continued to hang out in the lobby until check out. Got back to the room and packed up when another employee knocked on our door to inspect the WiFi connection/router. Weird. By this time, I've made my conclusion that this resort does not care too much about comfort. I get inspections/construction needs to be done at times but not when you have active guests staying in the room. No apologies or discounts of any kind when checking out. We will probably skip this resort on our next staycation.

without question was the worst overall hotel experience from start to finish I have ever had. On the day of arrival at 10:30am I received a text message saying there will be no early check-in due to a hotel buy out, no further information was provided. We arrive at 2:00pm not expecting of course to get into our room, but to enjoy the pool and bar. Upon are arrival we learned that the buy out was not to get into our room early, but to merely step foot onto the property. We were even turned away from waiting in the lobby and was forced to leave. When we were finally able to step foot onto the property, we eagerly rushed towards the pool/spa area. Do our disgust, the pool area reeked of chlorine and the hot tube also reeking of chlorine was filthy with a ring of black mold around it. So not only was I not allowed to step foot on property once I was able to get to the amenities, they were so filthy they were unusable. We then had dinner reservations at the Canal club. We went to go get a $25 drink at the bar before dinner. There I was barely welcomed by a bartender googling how to make drinks off the menu, and then was handed one of the most inedible drinks I have ever had. This dinner was for my wife's birthday, which was in our reservation and no attention was paid to that, along with inattentive service. We finally make it back to the room to relax and unwind. Room was well decorated, which was nice. However they had another event at the hotel that was blasting music that made out windows shake until 11pm, and when we called the front desk about it, they simply replied to "wait it out". After all the unwanted noise subsided, we were treated to a broken air conditioner, along with the property blasting the heat making our room over 80 degrees. The room was so hot that at 2am I contemplated cutting my losses and driving home to salvage some sleep. Over all the staff at this property was dismissive and maintenance in the property is lacking. I suggest speaking to the manager who completely dropped the ball and let their staff out to dry after agreeing to the ridiculous buyout of the entire property. I paid a premium to stay that weekend, and it was a complete waist of my time and money.

The Old Scottsdale hotel built in 1960 is a true escape. The decor is stunning. The pool and Jacuzzi are so relaxing. We did a staycation for Valentine's Day and absolutely loved our stay. As mentioned the Canal Club donuts are outstanding!! Close to the heart of Scottsdale would highly recommend!!!

I've been to The Scott Resort twice, both times for a major clinical trials conference called the SCRS West conference and each time, I really loved my stay experience at The Scott. What surprise me is the level of complaints I have seen on YELP; the hotel has a wonderful feel of old-time Havana, Cuba and it reminds me of where I grew up in Florida. Yes, the hotel is NOT a sleek, modern-day Hyatt, but that exactly why you stay at The Scott - it's a wonderful time and venue and feel. And for a hotel supporting a large conference, the quality of service, the quality of the groups' meals and drinks, and service is tremendous!! The hotel's proximity to other restaurants and of course, Scottsdale Fashion Square is a wonderful added benefit. And the proximity to The Rusty Spur, the oldest bar in Scottsdale, is important if you are wanting to enjoy an evening out!! ;-)

Stayed for two nights here and absolutely had a great time. The price per night was very reasonable and you get so many amenities for the price. The staff is very kind and helpful, making the check in process was. The pools were very clean and the staff went around to take orders. My only complaints with the pool area are you cannot order coffee , you have to go to the bar inside to get coffee, and there are not enough seating for how many people are there--many reserve seats hours in advance and lay their stuff on the chairs in the morning, sleep in, and then claims their spot, which seems unfair to me. The food was delicious and nothing was overly expensive. The alcohol wasn't that strong, but tasted good. Their espresso martini (though not dairy free) had a beautiful cold foam on top and the entire drink was super creamy (according to my friend who drank it). Overall, it was a great and clean hotel for the price. Whether you go for a staycation or are out of town, I confidently will always recommend the Scott. P.S. @ the Scott, please add more dairy-free items on the menu for us with dairy allergies, please.

This was one of my all time favorite hotels I have stayed at. I am not sure how this hotel does not have an even better review. I am already planning my next trip to The Scott. I usually do not write a pro and con list but I think that is the best for a hotel. Pros...the front desk, the water and ice tea area, the best lobby to wait for friends or have drinks, the drinks and food at the pool were wonderful...we had almost one of everything, the grass area with umbrellas, the pools, hot tubs, comfy lounge chairs, beautiful atmosphere, friendly workers, a gorgeous and fun hotel room, great shower, fun game areas, great breakfast options. Cons These are not even that crazy...the pool was slightly cold and the toilet paper was so thin...THATS IT!!! This is an amazing resort!

I recently stayed at this hotel while in town to give a keynote at a conference, and I hadn't even looked it up beforehand due to a whirlwind of back-to-back travel. My flight to Phoenix was delayed, so I arrived at the hotel at 1 a.m., completely drained. But the moment I stepped out of the cab, everything changed. The entrance alone was captivating, and the lobby, with its stunning artwork, instantly revived my spirit. I knew right then that I would be extending my stay--and I did, that very night. The service here is truly something special--genuine, thoughtful, and attentive. Every detail of the hotel feels intentional and welcoming, from the perfectly placed hammocks to the soothing sound of waterfalls that create the most relaxing ambiance. The hotel is filled with cozy little hideaways, perfect for unwinding, and the décor feels like a warm, stylish home away from home. The most remarkable touch? The artwork throughout the hotel is created by the owner, Rose. It adds such a personal, intimate layer to the experience, knowing that the same person running this exceptional business is also shaping its look and feel. I ended up extending my stay by three days, completely captivated by this magical place. The only downside? You might not want to leave the hotel to explore Phoenix! I can't recommend this gem enough.

Stayed for 2 days at the end of a week in Arizona, this was supposed to be our luxury splurge but was very disappointing. We arrived having booked the most expensive room , overlooking the pool, but when given our keys we noticed we were in far corner nowhere near pool area- we asked the receptionist who said we had been "downgraded" (her exact words). We stressed that we had deliberately paid extra for the pool view etc and she offered us $100 room credit which was less than the difference in price anyway. So we were unhappy. She also said there was no manager to assist but they would call us in the morning and arrange for us to get the correct room the next day. We went out for breakfast and the manager did not call. Got back around lunchtime and found someone. They changed our room, but not very relaxing. The front area and pool looks nice but the rooms are quite old and have low ceilings. The second room we were moved to had plumbing problems and smelled of sewage. The hotel is somewhat "Smoke and mirrors". The lobby, bar and pool are modern and hip. In the 3 days we were there we saw a fun crowd. The first day we walked through the pool area and saw 4 separate groups filming "content". No other "real" people until later. The last lady we watched licking a $100 bill while her friend photographed her from 50 angles. The second morning I was super annoyed to be woken at 6.15 am by loud thumping music- I opened the balcony and realized it was the pool speakers. I called reception who said they would send security. 15 minutes later the music stopped. Someone said later that the wrong sound system got turned on. The other thing that bugged me was that when sitting by the pool (which to be clear was very nice), I sat next to a big pile of dirty plates from someone's earlier meal. They had left but the plates were there. The drinks people came round maybe 10 times over the course of a few hours but no one picked up the dirty plates. The same happened outside our room- 3 separate rooms had room service and put the trays outside- they just sat in the corridor for the whole day and night- the next morning they had been grouped together and pushed to the end of the corridor (right next to my room) but still not picked up. In summary the hotel has a great pool, lobby, bar area, but tired rooms and terrible management. Whoever is running the place needs a serious talking to. Customers should get the rooms they booked. Hotel speakers should not blast music at 6am. Managers should be available. Food and garbage should be picked up.

This resort was pretty nice, clean & relaxing, did have some issues for example being told when getting a cabana that the bar would be open all day when it wasn't it was closed after atleast an hour of being at the cabana & it w. The next day at the pool we ordered breakfast and all our meals kept getting mixed up . Other than that the rooms were really nice and comfortable w a relaxing patio and two pools to go to.

We came on a sister's trip from Oregon. This place is absolutely stunning!! The decore, the architecture, the Cuban vibes are something special. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We rented complimentary bikes to take into town for brunch, we used the complimentary shuttle to go out to dinner, we got drinks and happy hour at the cabana club, we soaked in the hot tub and really enjoyed having drinks and taking in the night air on our balcony. A true place to relax and unwind. It's totally worth it to come here!

My friend and I stayed at The Scott Resort this weekend to celebrate my bachelor weekend and to have a staycation. The beds and pillows were SUPER comfortable. Appreciated the blackout curtains in the morning and the heat working well. 1-Ply for a Luxury Boutique Hotel was a let down. Make sure you bring your own body wash. The soap in the shower says exfoliating but I would say I was less than impressed. I left the shower feeling sticky so I went back in and used the hair wash to wash it off. The water pressure & temperature were great. Cuban themed restaurant was not great. My friend had the gaucho steak with chimichurri and said it was lacking flavor. Yesterday we ordered chips, salsa and guacamole.....and you'd think that would be a pretty easy meal to produce. - do not order chips, salsa and guacomole unless you are hoping for your salsa to taste like Pregos pasta sauce. It was BAD. We even told our waitress who confirmed with us that feedback has been given to the chef over the years and they've done nothing about the change... - the guacamole had no flavor. We asked for limes to squeeze into the guacamole and it was just plain - thinking mojitos are very popular in Cuban culture, my friend ordered a regular mojito and I had the coconut mojito. Mine was packed with TOO much acidity and was a gut puncher. Could not finish it It is nice to have access to a free shuttle to old town Scottsdale, and for most of the trip it seemed like we were inconveniencing the valet service. We sat in the car with MASON for 6 minutes and he was the BEST. he was friendly and engaging and we wished he was working the whole weekend. - however CHASE was not friendly whatsoever and I would really encourage him to remember being friendly with guests is important - valet gives you a card to call the desk and each time we called, most often there was no one at the desk to answer the phone. When the phone would be transferred to the front desk, they told us they would write our info down and give it to valet - On Friday, we waited 40 minutes because the front desk told me they were giving valet my info and the shuttle would be at our location in 20 min and then after waiting 20 min and calling back valet was surprised hearing we were waiting for them. We enjoyed La Vidorra Spa on Saturday morning which was splendid. I had an 80 min deep tissue massage with a wonderful masseuse (whose name I forgot) but she was amazing. The BEST PART of the Scott were the bartenders: Matt 1 & 2, Gabby, Derek and Haley - give these people a raise, seriously My friend and I were at the bar every single night before and after dinner. Instant smiles and instant curiosity of our stay was what we experienced the entire time. Matt (with the ginger beard) was the he nicest human being and was very professional. He was the reason I went back every night because he made me feel like he was interested in my life. Haley was recommending places around town which was helpful. Derek was ALWAYS smiling which was great to see when you are working with customers. If I was a local I would go to the Canal Club bar just for those bartenders.

The resort is decorated beautifully, and was the perfect setting for a girls trip. The pool are was very nice, despite there being construction. The fire pits and seating areas around the property were a nice amenity and felt very cozy. Overall the rooms were nice and updated. The shower did not drain well and each morning we smelled a sewer smell? Seemed it could be coming from the drain more than likely. We requested adjoining rooms upon booking - and again at check in - making it clear we were willing to wait longer if needed. The front desk was not helpful and just said to check back another day... We asked the front desk general questions (as there is no concierge) to which they were not knowledgeable. They were not aware of the perks advertised online with booking direct. They were not aware of the daily yoga advertised on the TVs. We dined at Canal Club for brunch on Friday, and were a little disappointed that brunch is only available Saturday/Sunday. Also three of the menu items were unavailable on an already small menu... however we still enjoyed our meals. We ordered drinks and dessert Saturday night, which was disappointing also in terms of service. We were some of the only people inside and the two servers never came. Finally went to order at the bar and the server only then came to ask what we needed. We had to move dirty plates and drinks from a seating area because there were no open areas that had been bussed. Seems that the management is lacking overall. But again, we enjoyed our time and the ambiance of the hotel. The biggest perk is the free shuttle service. We utilized that a lot and was very easy to communicate for pickups. We also used the free bikes and had a great time riding those.

Stayed here for five days and recently just got home covered in bed bug bites be careful and make sure you check your sheets

Checked into my room that was very cute and clean.I noticed I was not able to use my cell phone or wifi so I called from in room phone and could not hear the front desk because there was so static on the line, so they sent their tech person to my room that was very helpful and installed a new phone and wifi router that took 2hrs and sad Managment should be re-doing all the equipment but has not made the time for it.

My wife and her friends were there celebrating a birthday and I wanted to do something nice by sending a bottle of champagne to their room. I called at 3:30 pm to have this done thinking it would take an hour or two at most. Well four hours passed by and I still hadn't heard anything so I decided to call to verify it was sent. Long story short it was not sent and my wife and her friends were leaving shortly for the night. I was very disappointed as I spoke with a manager and she said the best she could do would be possibly having it delivered in an hour maybe. I explained they would be out for the night and this does not do any good. Just horrible customer service, especially from the manager of the restaurant/room service department. Frankly it was unacceptable and I had to cancel the order and now waiting to see if they actually refund me or not. Extremely Unsatisfied Customer and I will never visit this establishment.

There was a strong gas smell and the employee at the front desk was extremely rude and initially said he wasn't going to do anything about it but possibly contact management the next day. When I told him that I would handle it, he reluctantly called management. He told me management decided to do nothing. Later, I was told it was a kitchen venting problem. Multiple guests complained too, so I had to call the gas company myself.

Wonderful experience! Beautiful Hotel. The entire property is beautiful. The rooms are really cute, my Fiancee loved it. As soon as you walkthrough the doors at the Front Desk you will start smiling. Great vibe and a good time.

Decided to get away for our Juneteenth weekend break. Moved our reservation from Hotel Adeline to this place because we wanted somewhere a little more relaxing to stay. The first thing we noticed upon arrival was the beautiful decor, very well curated lobby/bar/restaurant space with high ceilings. Great for pictures. The front desk experience was smooth. The room was spacious, with a nice outdoor area. Very cute. The shower tile wasn't the most clean looking & there were dirty hand markings left on the bathroom door, so that wasn't great. But I am a neat freak who is always prepared to do wipe downs of hotels, so it was fine. We placed our bags in the room & went to breakfast. The Spanish coffee was great, the food was okay. I recommend sticking to a basic order, none of the unique dishes. The cocktails were great too, get the Helen & Maude! I think the shuttle offer is so convenient. The folks driving the shuttle were very friendly & the service was quick. We took a spin in the old school Chevy (they offer $30 rides) & it was a lovely time. I head wish we had a longer ride though. The pool area gets packed during the day, so I woke up early and swam in the morning. It's pretty. Tried the morning yoga & really enjoyed myself. It was perfect for beginners or folks who are a little rusty. Overall, had a comfortable stay & would come back again.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Absolute RIP OFF, do NOT waste your money here. $500 room is WAY overpriced for supposedly a nearly "five star resort." This place feels and looks like a motel 6 (literally not kidding). There is nothing luxurious about this hotel other than the fact that the location is great and entrance is decent. Entrance lobby is pretty but that is it. The rooms are not at all like advertised, strong musky almost moldy scent throughout the hallways with I swear to you 7foot ceilings... I feel completely claustrophobic with these low ceilings. Rooms are old, water leaking ALL night, no natural light comes in... feels like you are in a dungeon, musky wet stench in room and hallway that never goes away. NO money is put into the upkeep of the rooms. Expressed concerns multiple times and not much is done about it... pretty bad customer service and hospitality service. Realized that for a somewhat "decent" room you need to request the Laguna View or pool view and pay MORE-- otherwise with a "standard room" you're paying for 5star prices with a 1star motel experience. Got placed all the way in the back of the "resort" by the road looking at a parking lot and wall. Just awful. Came here for a wedding/vacation and would have been better off at ANY other hotel. Please save your money-- never coming again!!! Super disappointed.

Not worth the price at all. They use a wonderful filter for pictures on their fancy website. $2200 for 2 days 3 nights. The lobby is very nice and that's about it. Rooms are old, a little dingy and the cleaning / cleanliness of the rooms are sub par. The pool is old and outdated, nothing like the pictures show. I booked the room 2 weeks in advance, showed up 3 hours past check in time and when I arrived, I was asked to wait because the room needed to be cleaned. That took a few minutes less than an hour. I would never recommend anyone staying here. Spend your money elsewhere in Scottsdale.

Mathew at the canal club, was amazing and so helpful!, great bartender! We had an appetizer delivered that was less than stellar. He made sure we received something hot and up to Scottsdale standards! Thank Matthew! We had a great night!

The Scott is one of those places that's just charming and tasteful - not your typical golfy Scottsdale Resort. We had our wedding here after touring 15 venues. One of the main reasons we chose the Scott? The EXCEPTIONAL staff. You get what you pay for, and these people cared and went above and beyond - we worked with Ira and Deborah which we couldn't have been more pleased with. From their servers at our reception, the quality of the bar, compliments we received on the food, it was beyond perfect and worth every penny. Many of our guests absolutely loved the resort, its location, how central it is to everything in the area, and told us it was the best wedding they've been to. A year later we've decided to have part of our 1 year wedding anniversary with the Scott because of how much we've enjoyed the resort and its staff. Ira and Deborah even reached out once they found out we were coming back to make our experience personal, and of course, they have already gone above an beyond to accommodate our celebration. The Scott isn't corporate yet professional - it's a place that actually cares about its guests. I'm confident you'll love the resort and service they will provide as much as we have.

I went recently on a day pass to enjoy the pool area, which they closed the largest part with the jacuzzi off after only being there 2 hrs. The hydration station is clear across and out of the way. No suntan lotion or chapstick provided unless you upgrade & that wasn't an option as none available. No small tables by deck chairs to put a bottle of water on. Honestly it was nothing special. No food service available from the pool menu so I had to go to the restaurant which really didn't have anything I wanted. I wanted something light & refreshing like charcuterie board, or fresh fruit plate to hydrate and I can't have salads. Don't order the queso as there's nowhere near enough dip for all the chips you get. I was left with half a bowl of dry chips- so disappointing. My waitress did however manage sliced fresh avocado & shaved manchego cheese- she was a saving grace! I'll probably go to another resort hotel for a better experience next time.

When I say a picture is not always what it seems, that is exactly what I found with this resort. I do a lot of staycations and the management is awful here. They brought me back for a " bad experience " but chose to have me sleep in a room right next to the dumpsters looking at a cement wall! I left a day early and no one even noticed. You'd think they would make sure the stay was a good one the second time around. It was so pleasant to wake up to the garbage truck at 6am ! Needless to say I don't have a lot to say !

3.5 stars. The Scott Resort & Spa is a vibrant, Mission-inspired boutique hotel in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. Bringing together the colors and comforts of old Havana, the edge and flair of New Orleans, and the elegant geometry of Bauhaus, the resort offers a lush retreat in the middle of the desert with 204 guest rooms and suites and two pools - a sand-bottom swimming pool perfect for families and the main lagoon pool with private cabanas and a pool bar. Featuring the iconic lobby lounge bar and signature restaurant, The Canal Club, specializing in traditional American cuisine with a Caribbean twist. The full-service spa, La Vidorra, features six treatment rooms and a range of massages, body treatments, and facials. Our experience here was okay/good but could have been better. The check-in process was easy, thanks to Sam and Carolann. They were incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating. I couldn't have had a more straightforward check-in process. The rooms are decent. The ambiance matches the lobby well, and the old Havana aesthetic shows. However, it could have been more impressive for the price per night (up to $700/night). First and foremost, you would expect more amenities and complimentary snacks for a room that costs a minimum of $400. Let alone water. Everything in the room, including the usage of the robes and drinking water, was an additional cost. There was no room in the refrigerator to store any of our drinks because it was filled with add-on drinks. I don't mind spending money on snacks and drinks, but it made the room feel "low-grade" and not the opulence you should expect from a room with a price tag like The Scott. Going back to the amenities, there were hardly any. The pool? The "Lagoon?" Mediocre at best. Nothing special about it. Visualize a Holiday Inn. Motel 6. That being said, the housekeepers were fantastic. They were very accommodating and quick with any requests (I asked for a shower cap, which was delivered within minutes). The room service was quick as well. We ordered breakfast from The Canal Club (highly recommended), which was at our front door within 30 minutes. The view outside of our room was lacking. It was supposed to come with a private terrace, but the bushes barricading our terrace from the outside pathways were in poor condition and very see-through. There was no privacy whatsoever. Overall, I do not recommend you pay upwards of $700 a night to stay at a hotel that looks like a luxury Holiday Inn. Their restaurant/bar, The Canal Club, is fantastic (highly recommend!), but their hotel, The Scott, is questionable. The entire hotel would be amazing if they put in the same amount of effort and capital as they did for their lobby. Unfortunately, their lobby is all that it goes, and the rest is a bit more scruffy. Do not get deceived!

I LOVE this resort. If you are looking for a woman-friendly hotel with top notch amenities (and you're okay with a restored older building for the room itself) then this is the place for you. The rooms are not as high end as you'd expect for the price, but they are cute and clean. The common areas more than make up for that with all of the greenery and neutral tropical business chic decor for working, dining, lounging, or playing a game of backgammon. I utilized the hotel gym (with peloton), the bikes to ride to fashion square, the free morning yoga on the lawn, the hotel bar for both cappuccino and cocktails, and the restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - it was all great. There's not always someone at the front desk, so they're not as high-touch as other hotels in the area but I prefer my space. I also loved the multiple pools available that had some shaded areas and beautiful little water features. It was full of families, women, and some couples too, but definitely friendly and chill vibes.

Unfortunately relaxing by the pool was unachievable secondary to the maintenance crew. Couldn't even hear each other talk for hours because of the constant engine noise from the gardeners. It would make more sense to do this work NOT during prime pool time! Videos are at 8:30am and 11:00am.

I was working in AZ and decided to stay here. My friends love staying here so I thoughts I'd try it out. I brought my daughter with me and needed to drop her off while I was working l, but before check in. The staff was so helpful and friendly and was able to get her into our room early. The ambiance, look and feel of the lobby is very welcoming with a boho style theme. It was a beautiful place to hang out and work, relax or have a cocktail. The Canal club was nice too. The first night we were there the air conditioning in the room wasn't working. We called the front desk and they immediately sent someone over and determined we needed to move rooms. Although inconvenient, they were prompt in helping us and at least we could get into a room with AC. The rooms were nice and clean. We were able to enjoy the pool while we were there. Although the pool was nice (two pools with one having sand like a beach) I thought the furniture and pool area were not very clean compared to others we've stayed at. They didn't service the second pool with food or drinks which wasn't very convenient. The water was very warm and not refreshing. There are other locations that have a nicer pool experience. Overall, the hotel was nice and the service of the staff was on point.

This resort was very nice! The staff were all very pleasant, and the room service dining was fast. The price was wonderful for Scottsdale area especially and the room was so cute and comfortable. There were no hidden fees as well which was great.

Pool area needs attention. People left towels on loungers so they could come and go all day and not enough for guests. Also, reserved a lagoon view room and no view. Hotel needs serious landscaping clean up.

We just spent two nights here for a belated wedding anniversary and really enjoyed the property. Pros: very nice staff, in room Nespresso, fast wifi if you need to get any work done, chromecast in rooms, nice ample seating around the property, the two young pool ladies serving 7/26/22 were super nice and friendly, pool menu pricing wasn't outrageous, nicely decorated rooms, comfortable beds, front desk young lady on 7/27/22 at check-in was super nice and accommodating, well manicured landscaping, good drinks at bar. Minor cons: A/C fan in room rattled a little bit, could have used more Nespresso pods. We will be back.

We stayed here for the weekend and loved it! We wanted to get out of Flagstaff for one last mini vacation before school starts back up for our children and this was perfect. There's a beach sand/pool area for children and they loved it! Of course, it's the cutest hotel and everything looks so nice! Cons: no fridge or microwave in the room. Pros: each room has a patio with chairs to relax!

This is a jewel in the desert. The property is beautifully done and the staff was great. The atmosphere is great. The Canal Club has unique drinks and solid vibe with their own cigars by one of the two pools. Really enjoyed the stay.

While staying at the Scott resort, the highlight was my day at the pool. Jared, who works at the pool, really made my friend and I feel at home. He was very attentive to making us comfortable, constantly, checking in on us, and friendly conversation, and recommending many places in Scottsdale. He really goes above and beyond to make sure the gas at the pool are happy and taken care of. Thank you, Jared!

This place is really beautiful, everything was just gorgeous and the workers here were very nice, customer service here was above and beyond. Loved the salt water pools, beds, everything. There was a wedding during our stay but it seemed very controlled, didn't even bother our stay at all. I want to come back here so bad!!!

First, I just want to say when you enter the grounds it looks very beautiful and worth the money spent, Unfortunately , the experience will not continue.I was quite surprised by the cost of the rooms and the $57 extra a day for the resort fees. I live in Las Vegas and for those types of prices, we could've stayed at a gorgeous hotel with five star rooms and service . Let's begin with the front desk staff, which I'm not sure if I caught her on a bad day, but she spoke so fast I had to ask her to repeat herself twice. she also spoke to me very condescending. I felt her to be very in genuine. She wasn't kind or courteous more like a robot. Our room the AC barely worked. We had it held at 68° and it felt like it was more like 78 degrees. The room was very outdated. The decor looked like it came from Walmart. We had breakfast at the restaurant our waitress, barely checked on us, again very robotic not overly friendly or courteous. They're only saving grace actually was the Bellman and the Valley Parkers. They were on point! 5 stars to those gentlemen, unfortunately, we will not be coming back for them nor will we recommend this hotel too much money for what you receive. My parents stayed at the Hyatt place and their experience was 10 times better than ours and they spent quite a bit less.

We had heard a lot about this resort and decided to go for dinner and drinks. The drinks were great. Food was decent. We sat in the area outside between the pool and the bar. The pool was crazy busy - literally packed. I was shocked at how many were in it during COVID. The bar was constantly busy with people from the pool and those of us sitting nearby. We had to order food from the bar because it was before they began serving. The bartenders were super busy but very helpful and friendly. We wore masks though when we were away from our seats.

This has to be one of my favorite locations whenever I need a quick getaway... or as we say around here "Staycation" from the normal grind. The pandemic has created a limited atmosphere of interaction so it can be hard but think of this place's lobby, hotel room, and "comfortable seating nooks" around the property as a means to help calm your mind and spirits (that's what it does for me) The 1st thing that really stands out is the vibe and atmosphere that is presented. From the music that's playing throughout the property to the fireplace that's lit, (even when it a bit warm outside haha) to the Canal Bar serving up some good food and drinks on demand. The intent is to lose yourself and that what happens for me as it's absolutely relaxing and during my stays, I no longer feel like I'm in Arizona but some semi-tropical resort. The staff is very helpful and they've remodeled the place which makes it feel more comfy. The rooms we've had were very similar on separate occasions, but I have to admit the feel of the recent visit seemed to be a bit more "refreshed" vs the previous room. Feel free to use us as a meetup place with friends and family or enjoy a relaxing weekend in the pool as it is relaxing and cool... especially with the "beach sand" area.

We booked through Hotels Tonight and then I looked at reviews which had me a bit nervous as they are all over the place. We did enjoy our stay here overall, but had some of the same issues others have mentioned: The Pros: The staff we interacted with were all very nice Comfy beds, enough towels, great water pressure Super easy parking Convenient to everything The lobby really is *gorgeous* The Cons: Pretty pricey for the room size/condition Sat at the outside restaurant for breakfast, nobody ever came by with water, coffee, anything, for a solid 15 minutes. We left and went to Breakfast Club down the street and did not try eating at the Canal Club again. Room turning - I'm mixed on this one (and not just here at The Scott). I completely and totally get it, Covid and staffing issues, etc, and I know everybody is doing the best they can. I don't even necessarily mind the every other day schedule on room turning, but I wish someone would TELL people that when they check in or leave a pamphlet in the rooms or something - it's such a downer to come back from a hike and realize you don't have any clean towels or coffee pods. It feels like there's a middle ground here that all hotels could benefit from - I don't need you to vacuum my room or turn down my bed every day - just leave a bin with clean towels/cups/coffee pods outside and I will put the used stuff in it, easy peasy. Surely someone can start adopting this happy medium approach eventually?

Ok strap in....this may be a lot. So my two girlfriends and I were looking for a spot to have our girls weekend and we found a great deal online so we went with it!!! Upon first arrival the lobby feels like you're walking into a dream vacay in the Bahamas it is truly beautiful!! And the Canal club is super cute. Flights got in super early, so they let us do early check in which was super sweet of them. However they asked if we would like a first or second floor room we said second floor he gave us our keys and we were on our way. We went to our room, on the first floor......and there was a huge gap where the back French doors should have closed, letting us all the 100 degree air!! So we promptly returned to the front desk and he so kindly upgraded us to a pool view room on the second floor. Which seemed great!! But, they AC was broken!!! so the poor engineering man was a regular to room 460! Finally after two nights they got us a fan. The pool however was a dream, and the pool staff were freaking angels they were so amazing and the pool food was so so good! All in all I'd say we got what we paid for. It was such a stinking cute venue but we had our fair share of difficulties.

Although the dude at the front desk-- during check-in wasn't my cuppa tea-- Jessica (in the restaurant) made up the difference. I think they should reverse their roles and have her great folx with her knowledgeable, generous and authentically manner of engaging patrons. I felt seen by her, cared for, genuinely accommodated. Overall--and what I'm about to say is saying A LOT given I'm currently on a cross-country road trip where I'm residing at "luxury" destinations. I use luxury loosely in some cases as I go in with an intention of openness and decide from the experience if in fact--luxury was a foot. #IYKYK... any who, I digress. So, as I was saying the overall aesthetic of the SCOTT in Scottsdale, Arizona is a complete throwback to the highlife of 1920's Havana with a mid-century modern twist. The diversity of staff, guests, and general attitudes (except of course the aforementioned front-desk-non-persona encounter,) is refreshing. Loved the the first meal: a delicately prepared chef salad served with chicken so tender I was briefly concerned it wasn't cooked enough only to recognize it was cooked PERFECTLY and all the other chicken I'd previously consumed was actually suspect. The tres tacos were not only spicy, delicious, and presented with intention that wasn't lost on me or my guest, but they were actually warm and served via one tortilla versus the usual two, which, for me only adds more calories, carbs, and extra work to try and peel the extra tortilla away.... And the Arnold Palmer was more delicious than the one at Little Miss Bar-B-Que (which was the best I'd ever had before the one I had at the SCOTT. And the I met Hailey--who is a boatload of PRETTY & PRECIOUS all rolled into one. She works in room service and knows how to beat a face like no other! Get it li'l mama! Although it cost me nearly $50 to have an order of avocado toast and almond butter toast delivered to my room... that... was... the... best damn toast I'd EVER had; like I'll drive all the way back here from the Bay Area for that almond butter/sesame seed/thick sliced nine grain tasting bread/perfectly sliced banana drizzled with honey & bee pollen deliciousness! Yeah... I said that. Oh, and, instead of heading out and continuing my trip I decided to stay another day: it's too comfy to get back in car and drive especially given Fashion Square Mall is directly--directly enough--across the street! Love this place. If I were EVER lucky enough yo be in love with someone who I wanted to marry and the feelings were EASILY mutual-- this place would rank high on my list for my bachelorette party weekend Or.... If I were going to host a healing retreat for 50 wome to gather: I'd host it here Love the friendly part

Gorgeous, stunning lobby and main areas of hotel. The rooms have awnings and trees in front of the windows so the rooms don't get any natural light. Very dark and cave-like, which is disappointing, considering we escape to Arizona to be in the sun Additionally, the staff are SO RUDE. It's like the front desk staff was in a competition to see who could be the most bitchy. We stayed for 5 days and they were consistently unwilling to even crack a smile

We had a quick lovely stay here at the newly renovated Scott Resort which used to be a Kimpton property. First impressions are that this place knows high end service: the interior lobby is beautiful with a sort of Miami vibe and the grounds are quite lovely. I had asked about price matching and it doesn't appear they do that - at least not for Hotel Tonight? Seemed a little strange to me considering most hotel chains encourage you to book directly and inquire about price matching. We ended up paying much more than I would have through HT (about $100+ or so), but the check in clerk upgraded our room since we booked direct. We did very much appreciate that. Our 15 pound cutie of all cutiest dog stayed with us. Fees for pups are $100 per visit; I'd say it's worth it if you stay multiple nights. The room was beautiful and clean. We loved the decor very much. And the bed... oooo it was wonderful. Where I think there is room for improvement would be the staff at the Cabana Club who all seemed very green - tables were not bussed (I'd say more than half had dirty plates left on them) and the cocktails weren't made well or the recipe needed improvement on the Paloma. But the bartender was attentive and patient, allowing me to taste the different red wines (selection was v nice). All things considered, I'd stay here again. It's walking distance to Nobu, the Scottsdale Fashion Square and many other yummy restaurants. Wish I had taken more photos to share with you!

Absolute s***show. Our large group flew in from multiple cities to find none of our rooms would be ready for at least two hours. 2 clerks at the front desk are overwhelmed and nasty. Lobby is hot on 100F Arizona day. Nobody is answering the phone. Avoid at all costs. There are too many nice hotels nearby to suffer through this.
