I found this local homemade ice cream shop in Tucson and loved everything about it. I tried the honeycomb and berry poppins flavors and both were amazing. The flavors were fresh, creative, and really well balanced. The staff was super friendly and took the time to explain the flavors and how they’re made. It felt really welcoming and genuine. If you’re in Tucson and want a treat, definitely stop by. The ice cream is great, the people are kind, and the whole place just has a good vibe. I’ll be back for sure.

This is THE. BEST. ICE CREAM. I HAVE EVER HAD. I travel across the country from the DC area just for this ice cream. The honeycomb flavor keeps me dreaming about this ice cream shop from the minute I leave Arizona, until I’m able to make it back, usually over a year later. I come, and make sure I go at least once a day. I’ll hit any and every location. I have people I know bring back pints at a time for me. I tell everyone I know in my hometown about this ice cream flavor. I can not and will not ever settle for another “favorite ice cream flavor”. The ice cream is fully loaded with honeycomb and honey ribbons, I’m never getting a spoonful of just ice cream, there’s always ribbons and chunks of goodness. If I could inject it into my veins I would. I want it on tap in my house. I would legitimately pay to fund the opening of a location in the Northern Virginia area. This ice cream is not to be effed with. Prepare for greatness, and double up on the honeycomb flavor.

We had just so happened to have lunch nearby and we were craving some ice cream. I goggled nearby me and happened to find the Screamery. It was our first visit and they were not kidding, I would scream for their creamy ice cream. . I had the Mississippi mud pie and my for my husband, the strawberry sundae with hot fudge and nuts. Definitely worth the trip and the price. We would definitely return if in the area. So sorry we forgot to post any photos, we ate it all up and forgot 😅 🍦

Ice cream is smooth and creamy. Really delicious flavors. Service was fabulous. Definitely need to try.

Took my children for the first time and had an amazing experience! The man who took our order was nothing short of exceptional! He walked us through the ordering process and helped me while I picked out my ice cream flight. He also explained the points system to me and how we can use our rewards.

I ordered thru door dash I tried 3 flavors banana cream pie, ooey gooey butter cake, and sweet cream honeycomb omg so good best I have in a long time and cannot pick a favorite. They packed each flavor separate in cute little cups and the sizes were large have leftovers of each one. I will be ordering again

I came in on Sunday late afternoon and the place was empty. Half the freezers were broken so there was only half the selection of flavors. I got a small scoop of Mississippi mudpie for $5. It was a bit overpriced as the ice cream wasn't that great and had a grainy texture. There's some stools to sit on along the wall and counter.

Yummy ice cream at The Screamery and tons of flavors to choose from. They provide you with free samples if you ask for them. I loved the rocky road ice cream and my friend had the pumpkin spice flavor. Tasted so good except we sat right under the aor conditioner unit so we were freezing by the time we were done. Otherwise it was a pleasant experience. They have ice cream nachos which sound really good!

LOCATION: Arizona Pavillions/Cortaro PARKING: Lots WHAT I ORDERED: * Kid's scoop of the Coffee Toffee ($3.90) Trust me, get the kid's scoop! It's the perfect amount of ice cream, but it was a little too much for me! The ice cream had a rich coffee flavor infused with toffee bits, making it the ultimate combo. The Screamery has plenty of fun and unique flavors, and they let you sample! The ice cream isn't as soft and a little tough, but it melts to a perfect consistency in the Tucson heat. One minor thing to add - the girls serving the ice cream looked extremely disinterested and came off rude. The ice cream was good despite the adequate service from the short interactions. PS: you can get two different flavors even with the kid's scoop!

In the middle of ordering, the server takes an entire family who came 10 minutes after me. So I guess no ice cream for me. Service is slow. I waited for while as the servers continued to talk to each other. It really depends on who's working. Sometimes they ignore you and other times they serve you. I like the other location better

My favorite local ice cream spot! The cowboy cookie is the best flavor in my opinion and I love pumpkin spice in the fall. Prices are a little steep but you're paying for high quality ingredients. The inside is always clean and staff are friendly and move through the line quickly if there is one. Highly recommend.

Great ice cream and the staff is always so wonderful. I wish I caught the name of the kid who was working behind the counter, he was young but very professional and pleasant. It's nice to see someone enjoy their job (or at least pretend to lol) and not have an attitude or completely devoid of a personality interacting with customers.

The ice cream is the best ever. It's a little expensive but well worth it on occasion.

I really like the ice cream here! My favorite is the Sweet Sonoran Desert but you can't go wrong with any of the flavors. For the most part, the service is usually fast and friendly and it always seems clean inside the restaurant.

First let me say that the Staw-Lemon Sorbet is awesome. The staff is great and they are also patient. It's a smaller building in a plaza but it was cool and worth the wait.

Went looking for some ice cream and came up with The Screamery. They have some great flavors .... some a little different but very , very good. I had one that had local honey in it and it was delicious. They hand make all the ice cream and it's creamy, flavorful and delicious. Several seats outside and a few tables inside. We opted for the sample serving and had I think 6 flavors to try. We loved each one and can't wait to go back for more

My new favorite go to nice cream spot! Everything was seriously delicious ! Some very unique flavors that are a must try like bacon bourbon and toffee coffee! The kids and I loved everything we tried! Excited to see more of this place this summer!

We love the Screamery! We've tried a few flavors that we didn't love, but they have fun ways to try lots of flavors without having to do the tiny sample spoons. Ice cream flights for the win! They have the sample spoons though too! We've found 2-3 flavors that are absolutely phenomenal that I'd put on my top five flavors of any ice cream ever! Rough at Sea and Sweet Sonoran Dessert... trust me, give them a try.

While the ice cream is good, it's not a $100 a gallon good! The service needs work. I guess most people don't understand math or the value of anything anymore.

This is a hidden gem in the Arizona Pavillion Shopping Center, near the Mattress Firm. I loved it my 1st go round, but I keep getting deeper into the simple creaminess of their cane sugar, real cream, QUALITY FLAVORS and tasty items that can satisfy any taste buds! From my ice cream loving mom (in her 80s) to my allergy having husband to my eclectic taste buds and my sons' sensitive stomach (they have a lot of GF choices)! I'm still screaming for more Screamery! TIP: BE MY CHERRY VALENTINE (limited time) is sublime. Oh, yeah, they offer a non dairy choice, too.

Stumbled across this ice cream absolutely delicious and both of the girls there were so friendly. We had just had dinner at Barros. Great Italian food so we thought we would try the ice cream absolutely delicious the best I've ever had in my entire life. I would recommend this to anyone that likes ice cream, I will definitely come again and thank you so much for your hospitality!

The location is okay, unfortunately the service at night is not the best. Twice we have been in later and the first time no milkshakes because they had no milk, and only taking cash. Second they said the milkshake machine was down. Not sure what's going on but needs some work.

Wow, this place is amazing! Such unique flavors with such creamy deliciousness! No wonder this spot is so popular. I wish we had it where I live because I would be coming here every week! This is a must try if you're not from this area.

Three words: ice cream flight. Do it! I love their lavender vanilla ice cream but most I've tried are good, especially cowboy cookie and triple play. Sampling gives you a chance to try a lot. Yum!

Came in with my family expecting a nice experience at a new place. From the second we walked in we were treated like we did not belong in there. I would caution against coming here.

Been to this location a few times. The staff is nice and options are solid. A regular scoop on ice cream is 5.75 but is a solid 4 ozs. Ice cream was creamy, rich, not too sweet. It's hard to find good old fashion hard ice cream these days. Everything seems to be gelato or soft serve. It was wonderful to see a place like this around. Plus my dog really love the vanilla. Although I'm sure it's not wonderful for him :-).

Wide selection of flavors which makes it hard to make a decision. Good thing they let you choose 2 flavors even on single scoop. And they give you a lot. It can be pricey,but it's well worth it! I will definitely coming back.

Screamery has excellent ice creams but my experience here left a lot to be desired. The girl working the counter was completely disinterested and seemed annoyed we were there. After my friend asked for a third sample, she sternly said, "that's your last one." I had asked for one sample. The third person in our party had none... not sure what her problem was. There are other places to go with much better customer service.

Not really ice cream more like ice milk. Flavorless, and pricey. Don't waste your time or money.

Ice cream was great as usual but have they ever heard of a power washer? Entrance and outside tables need a GOOD cleaning. Power washer cost you $70. Good investment.

Great selection of unique flavors, but don't worry, they've still good choices if you like the classics. Service was very friendly. They've got a few tables, so you can sit down and enjoy your treat either inside or outside. We liked it well enough that we bought a t-shirt. Will be back for sure next time I'm in Tucson.

Lied about a flavor being dairy-free, I'm lactose intolerant... very obviously the person behind the counter was being malicious when they said the specific flavor was made with oatmilk.

My FAVORITE!!!! Staff is amazing and favorite flavor is Coffee Toffee. I have to get a kids cup otherwise it's too much. Will continue to go! I should have taken a picture...guess that means I'll be going back soon!

Oh man, is this ice cream delicious! Creamy, wholesome (I don't use that word a lot, but you can tell they use top-notch ingredients and you can also see behind the counter what ingredients they used). My first visit the other day I had a shake, coffee toffee, and it was fantastic! Great coffee flavor, toffee bits complemented but did not overwhelm the coffee ice cream flavor, and were ground up finely so as not to impede the ability to drink through the straw. The next night (yup, two consecutive), I got a double scoop of strawberry and vanilla. Just as good. Really could taste fresh strawberry and the vanilla was smooth and tasty, what a great combo! And the proprietor/manager guy is great! Very personable and helpful. I really appreciated that when I ordered the shake with another customer behind me, he completed my order instead of starting the mixer and attending to her and getting back to me. It wouldn't have bothered me if he had, but I thought it was a nice touch.

I needed some ice cream bliss tonight so I went to my favorite ice cream parlor in Tucson. There are still no free samples available due to the Chinese Communist Party's Weaponized Bat Virus Pandemic. But, I was willing to try new flavors based upon the strength of my previous selections. Tonight I went for 2 scoops in a cup. Triple Play and Coffee Toffee. The chocolate brownies and chocolate chips in the chocolate ice cream in the Triple Play were INCREDIBLE. A chocolate lover's paradise in every spoonful. The Coffee Toffee was buttery and caramelized. Together these choices were STUPENDOUS.

Great selection of handmade ice cream! Especially loved the honeycomb! Service was excellent. Highly recommend!

Ellie "the shift manager" told my spouse that he was abusing our child and if he didn't stop she could refuse service. My son was acting erratic for being only allowed to get a small cup on ice cream, he has ADHD and Autism. My husband took him by the arm and pulled my son towards him so that my son could focus on his voice by speaking directly into his ear, telling him that "it's a small cup or nothin," because my son only saw the kid size cups. When calling the store and speaking directly to Ellie, she claims that she was physically abused and "knows what abuse looks like." As parents to a child with an invisible disability I find her words and behavior insensitive and unprofessional as "management" and should not be working in a customer service industry. The store manager will be contacted during their working hours.

we love their ice cream choices and that they are freshly made in-house. My husband loves the strawberry cheesecake or raspberry cheesecake, I love the Louis gooey butter cake, however, I do notice it almost leave a little bit of an oily, feel in your mouth afterwards. But it's still yummy! I'll go back for sure!

SO GOOD. The ice cream flavors were out of this world. Lots of variety and options. The service was great. The shop was packed every time I went.

Unfortunately for me and my family Ellie was working the counter when we visited on Sat 2/11/2023. No greeting, no dialogue if we needed a moment or check if we had any questions. Simply a crude stare and we were the only people in the store waiting to be served. After asking if we could get some assistance and to see if the flight was still offered Ellie immediately got defensive. Then kind and very sweet Taylor tried to step in and Ellie walked back over with an attitude and frustratingly placed the flight tray on the counter with a thump. At that point my 4 year old daughter was scared and I have never felt so uncomfortable in my entire life being a person of color. I could see a look of disgust in Ellie's face from the moment my family walked in the door. We told Taylor we only came in to celebrate our daughters great week, and we're so shocked as we've had great service at the same location (near Cortaro in Marana) before. Ellie did not like our feedback that she maybe needed some coaching by senior management, and was being a shitty person to our family. She then angrily told us we can leave the store. We let her know we would be choosing to leave the store on our own due to how extremely uncomfortable she made our family feel. Taylor profusely apologized and offered to give our little daughter ice cream, which I truly appreciated. Taylor deserved kudos and exemplifies how a team member should provide customer service in a business. Bottom line Screamery - racism and bad attitudes have no place in customer service. Please do better.

If you like rich and creamy; I mean if really like rich and creamy ice cream, then you are really going to enjoy this place. The ice cream we had was very loaded with cream, sugar, and good old fashioned hand churned goodness. The information brochures and posters tout that they only use milk and cream from grass fed cows. Sounds good by me. The flavors are vivid and forward and definitely not lacking in the fillings. The menu board gives all the details of what's in each flavor and they offer you samples too. But amazingly, the workers behind the counter can rattle off ingredients for each flavor like a student quoting a memorization agenda while studying for an exam. The workers here were friendly, helpful and cheery. The shop itself it small but roomy enough to enjoy. There's even a patio outside. Choices: too many too count or report. I had Mississippi mud. It came with cookies, toffee and chocolate ribbons. My other half had a honey lavender that had clear definite notes of lavender and a strong honey flavor. Next time, I am going to try a flight. (I saw a young couple order it and bring it to their table.) It is a tasting board of 6 flavors. If I had only known it was available (and at $7.50 it's a bargain!) I would have got it. What a Yummy way to have it all.

I used to be OBSESSED with this place. & do not take this review lightly because my favorite food is ice cream & this place used fo be my absolute favorite ice cream place of all time. But then..they stopped using grass fed milk...& the flavor & consistency of the ice cream changed :( The owners opened up more locations & are no longer prioritizing quality over quantity. Such a shame. They've lost a one dedicated fan

This is delicious ice cream. I got a single scoop of the drunken cowboy and sweet cream honey comb. They will let you do half and half of two different flavors.

Went and had amazing service by a lovely worker named Ellie. They were very kind and welcoming and it truly brightened up my day to see someone have such amazing energy. Will absolutely be coming back!!

I got two scoops: sweet Sonoran dessert and rough at sea. My husband got vanilla and bees knees. We felt they were all delicious, however, we both agreed that they were a touch too sweet for our taste. Perhaps one scoop would've been enough or a different flavor combination. Regardless, customer service was wonderful and helpful and we could tell the ingredients of the ice cream were high quality. They have gluten free and dairy free options. They lost a star for 2 reasons: the sweetness and the lack of flavors. I was really hoping to go with something peanut butter based, and they said they had it on the board but it wasn't available. There were a few flavors like that which led me to pick two flavors I normally wouldn't pick (which was probably why I felt it was too sweet. They have many flavors available with toffee, butterscotch, honey, etc).

Walked in, asked about ice cream, given extremely horrible and lazy descriptions. Asked about a flavor online where I was given attitude. Horrible customer service.

Our freezer broke after a Costco run so naturally we had to drown our sorrows in ice cream. I've always passed the downtown location but have always been too full from dinner to stop in. Never again - I'll make sure to save room. The two girls serving ice cream were very friendly. I sampled the honeycomb ice cream per their recommendations but ultimately went with the Munchies. It was a pretzel base with ritz, chocolate chips, butter, and I think potato chips swirled into the pretzel base. It was very good! My husband enjoyed the Bourbon Brittle. Both ice creams were creamy, sweet, and just the right texture. We'll gladly drive the 25 minutes to get some ice cream here!

My friend and I went there to get some ice cream. She suggested we try the flight of ice creams. We did and it was a fun way to test out 6 small samples of their ice cream. Best ice cream ever. The staff was great too.

Stopped in with a friend to grab an ice cream cone, and found the entire experience to be delightful. From the handwritten chalkboard menu to the simple, on-brand decor, the seating and service areas are inviting and comfortable. Ellie provided friendly service with smile and excellent recommendations. Will absolutely be back! :)

Popped into the Screamery tonight and found the ice cream to be excellent! A wonderful selection of flavors, with great texture and crunchy cones! I was so delighted with the service received from Ellie behind the counter!! They were exceptionally well-versed in all the different flavor profiles, combinations, and customer favorites, and helped me make a great selection! Such a lovely, local spot with great local employees! Will be returning soon!
