Located on Dean Street, just steps away from Soho House, this seafood bar boasts a modern interior with a striking red neon crab sign.
Seating can feel a bit cramped—especially near the bar, where we were placed—but there’s a raised area that opens up later in the evening to accommodate larger groups.
Firstly, £5.50 for a bottle of water is outrageous!
The crab cakes were decent, as were the octopus tentacles. The tuna tartare, topped with a raw egg yolk, was fresh and well-balanced, though the portion was quite small.
Unfortunately, the lobster mac and cheese was disappointing—there was little trace of lobster flavour or any noticeable pieces, leaving it tasting flat and underwhelming, especially for the price.
On the other hand, the whole fish was well-cooked and enjoyable. The grilled asparagus, though tasty, felt overpriced considering the portion.
Service was fine, though nothing particularly memorable, and the wine list had a steep markup—some bottles priced at four to five times retail.
Overall, it was a decent meal with a few standout elements, but nothing exceptional.
Will not be returning on account of average food and outrage mark up for wine and water!
