Seafood Ristorante

"The simple combination of great quality seafood and commanding bay views is a sure-fire winner at this smart restaurant housed in a striking glass cube. Perched over St Andrews Bay, locally landed seafood is very much at the heart of the menu, which has a subtle Italian slant. The kitchen team know not to mess around with super ingredients like day boat halibut, allowing the natural flavours to come to the fore. The friendly service is of a similarly high standard." - Michelin Inspector

"A St Andrews standby for several years, this glass box of a restaurant overlooks the sea, where many of the kitchen’s ingredients are sourced. The menu leans Italian, with dishes like wild mushroom risotto, pumpkin agnolotti, and monkfish with truffle gnocchi, but also includes a selection of local seafood, from Cumbrae oysters to Shetland mussels. Come for the delicious fare, stay for the panoramic views over St Andrews Bay and West Sands Beach."

"A glass-walled seafood spot in St. Andrews offering panoramic views over the bay and a menu that highlights seafood from the adjacent sea—think Cumbrae oysters and Shetland mussels—alongside some Italian-leaning dishes." - AFAR

This was our first visit to the Seafood Ristorante and it won't be our last. The service was second to none, the food was easily up with the best me and my wife have ever had and to be honest given all that, the value was outstanding. If you want some of the finest seasonal seafood, cooked to perfection by the sea, then go to the Seafood Ristorante in St Andrews.

The restaurant itself has a beautiful location by the sea, and I imagine is a very romantic date night spot. We saw the high recommendations, and decided to stop here for a late lunch. Staff seemed annoyed that we didn’t have a reservation, and overall service was quite slow. The food is presented well and tasted good, but not so good that it justified the price tag. Portions are small. Despite being lunch time we were only provided the dinner menu and its associated surcharge. Maybe you’re paying for the view? The best thing I ordered was the caviar. I would consider dining again to give it another chance, but wouldn’t recommend to others based on our first experience.

First of all beautiful location. Food was delicious. The service I would give six stars, the guys are going above and beyond to deliver an extra service. Thank you!

We always love visiting the Seafood restaurant. Food is consistently good. I’ve never had a bad dish. Really high quality seasonal ingredients cooked well. No pretentious drama with foams, essences, dry ice etc. The food doesn’t need that, it speaks for itself. If you haven’t visited before the view is stunning, right on the water. The staff are excellent, they always give 5 star service that is seamless. We always look forward to returning, it’s fast becoming our favourite restaurant.

This was the culinary highlight of my Scotland golf trip. Service, food, and ambience are top notch. The Hand Cut Tagliatelle pasta is a must. Steamed Day Boat Halibut is another necessary. Never before did I think that I would order an English wine. The Gaborone Chardonnay was incredible.

Probably the best restaurant in St Andrews. As the name suggests, seafood is the main attraction here, and it's simply delicious. Don't skip the desserts as well.

Supremely delicious meal. It was our most delicious meal of the trip (so far). Would recommend pretty much everything on the menu based on what we had. The sommelier was great and recommended good pairings for our different courses. The lobster ravioli is in my dreams.
