"Those who will consider only a hotel smack on the sand are likely to temper their convictions after a stay at the Seagate, set two blocks west of the ocean on bustling Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach. True, you’ll have to walk five minutes (or hop on the complimentary trolley) before you can stick a toe in the surf, but that’s assuming you’ll want to leave the hotel. For what little the Seagate lacks in proximity to the beach, it more than makes up for in comfort and service. A marine decor dominates the public areas, with three massive aquariums filled with jellyfish and exotic eels on the ground floor, and sculptural light fixtures inspired by seashells and corals. The 156 rooms don’t win points for originality; their dark-wood-and-neutral palette recalls a furnished executive studio. But they’re comfortable and uncommonly large, with sitting areas, wet bars, breezy balconies, and bathrooms with tubs built for two. The staff is eager to please and the hotel’s beach club is the perfect spot for lunch between laps in the pool. Apart from the beach and a welcoming spa, daytime diversions can be found in the many shops along Atlantic Avenue, which heats up at night."

Perhaps the most luxurious accommodations in town, the Seagate offers 4-star experiences, including a spa & private beach club. While the hotel itself is a few blocks from the ocean, their nearby club offers private dining & lounging directly on the beach. Don’t miss the hotel’s wellness offerings, including beach yoga. Namaste!

Spa: I have been going for massages for a few years. Johnson is exceptional. He is a true professional and provides consistently superior massages. I make it a point to go every few weeks and will say that this massage is better than virtually all of my years of prior experiences in the US as well as world-class Spas out of the country. ||Moreover, the Spa experience is lovely. Betty, in particular is a gracious and always welcoming professional. She ensures that the appointment always begins and ends on a positive note!

I frequent the Spa once a month for a massage. I always book time with Dana. I have had massages in some of the world’s great hotels and spas and I must say that Dana is by far, the most expert and professional masseuse. Her work is therapeutic and consistently thorough. Dana has become an important part of my health regimen. I highly recommend her.|The spa is clean and comfortable. The check in staff is extremely professional and efficient. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

The spa is peaceful and lovely. But it’s the staff that truly makes it a special and unique atmosphere to me. I look so forward to seeing Paige, Dana, Betty, Leah and more each week. They make every detail perfect for me and always with a smile. 16 years of perfection! I am truly grateful for the experiences and care they create for me. Ultimate relaxation comes to me as I know I’m in their good hands I float out of the spa after my appointment every time! Thank you ladies and congratulations seagate for finding the most exemplary staff the spa world has to offer.

Very nice service. Comfortable room, great location, and cool vibe. Haven’t tried the restaurant yet. Only criticism is that they should have a more comfortable duvet on the bed. The duvet was thin, and didn’t offer enough warmth with the air conditioning on.|Also, did not get turned down service, and think that would be a nice amenity to have. |Other than that, thought it was lovely, and would definitely return.

Google
Great location, friendly staff, good gym and spa. The negative was the construction noise that prevented us from enjoying our balcony and the pool area. Location is terrific and shuttle service very helpful in enjoying the beach club. We did not get to play golf as there was a tournament at the club so that should be checked out in advance.

I reserved and paid for my room, well in advance for my daughters wedding. I reserved a King Pool View Suite, and when checking in, they said nothing to me. They gave me my keys. I got in the room and quickly realized that this was NOT the room I reserved. My view was a dumpster! I had no full length mirror, barely any light, it was not next to my daughters room, as requested (the bride). They tried to take my money for the suite and hoped I would not realize they put me in a below standard room for a very elevated price. When I brought it to their attention, they were non responsive. I had to go downstairs with my infant grand daughter to try and resolve the issue. The staff could not be bothered, and offered NOTHING for their very large mistake. I was up all night because instead of the pool view, I had the dumpster view with a staff working stating. So, they used power tools all night to work on the construction of the hotel. Needless to say, they resolved nothing, treated me as if I did something wrong, could not be bothered and offered nothing as an apology. I will never return to the Seagate Hotel.

Google
Good day,||I recently experienced the best massage of my life @ The Seagate Hotel Spa. What a treat! Dana knew just how to work with the information I provided regarding what needed most attention. The two young ladies at the front desk, I believe Paige and Ashley, were smiling, very attentive to my needs and quick to get me into my appointment. No wait necessary! All in all, the facility was very clean, the staff top notch, massage table comfy, and prosecco tasty. I'll definitely be back for more services and feel much better since!

Paulo and Alberto were the best! Great cocktails and even better service. They came to our door with premium cocktails and were incredibly nice and funny. Would highly recommend coming here. We will definitely be back based on their service alone!!

Yelp
What a pleasurable experience over the Holidays, a much needed get away from the Creek. Hotel is basically on the beach (it's a 3 min walk from the street), and Delray is such a fun vibrant city to explore. But it was the staff that truly made the stay special, I'm used to Ritz/Seasons service and the standard robotic ma'm and sir roll around. This was personable in a way that had meaning to it. Eddy at the door greeted me and the crew by name and checked in with us each time we strolled through. The NIGHT front desk was a pleasure (our check in is the only reason this doesn't get five stars. Need to polish those two ladies with some personality salt. We were promised things that didn't exist, and told we could check in early when we called just to wait three hours... with attitudes. My husband went to check in with a smile and came back with a frown.) but Gizzelle, Nick and C.J. sparkled as bright as that tree in the lobby. Special thanks to the concierge Eddie, talk about a shining star. Lionfish? What a treat. Must say... Atlantic Grille can be skipped, felt out of place with all the positives we had, food was subpar and their service was along the same lines. Hubby and I go south every few months to visit friends in Boca and I know we'll back to the Seagate!

Russo R.

Yelp
I would give this hotel zero stars if that was possible! We rented a junior suite for $800 a night with a jetted tub. The Jets did not work in the tub and when we informed the front desk they were dismissive and rude. I would think they would come and offer to try to fix the jets but they were quick to offer us another room or a $40 credit total on a $5k stay of 4 nights! I guess they were admitting that they knew the Jets didn't work where they would've come to the room to see what was going on! There were so many things wrong with this room. I don't even know where to start the marble floors which look great or slip and fall hazard as they haven't been tended to in multiple years and standing on the wonder, wet is a danger! The tub which we described earlier, had no safety grab bar a totally worn bottom of the tub that was quite shiny, but also quite slippery and there was no mat or anything to alleviate that problem. We received no guidance as to how to operate anything in the room! There were a half a dozen switches at the front door. Another half a dozen switches in the bathroom and another half dozen switches in the living room, and we were never informed about what anything did probably because nothing worked properly. We've done the Holiday Inn roadside inn route over the last several decades, and we were at least generally given instructions about how to work the TV the climate control and maybe even the toilet. Here we were left to fend for ourselves and we found a lot of broken things. The people at the desk who are in charge were rude, deceptive, and dismissive and arrogant. It seems the hotel is planning a renovation this summer which they seem to think is an excuse for not providing what they promised and living up to the contract now! Do you sell the favor and go someplace else? Find a roadside in or up the road on the ocean all look like better options. Please don't stay here. I would never do it again !

Lisa C.

Yelp
And don't be fooled by the hotel's response. I "reached out" to them but never got a response.

E S.

Yelp
Absolutely superb. Rooms a bit dated but still elegant and clean (as I was checking out I was advised that a renovation is scheduled). The room service was prompt. The beach club is great (and I'm not a big beach person). The service from all of the staff (especially Anton and Alex) was excellent. Look forward to returning.

Yehoshua B.

Yelp
Amazing amazing hotel, I come here for my birthday and had the best time, from the valet all the way to the cleaning services, it was exceptional. They greeted us with champagne and the room we got had a big tub. They have an excellent restaurant in the lobby as well as a coffee shop. The hotel offer a car to go to near by locations when ever you please (first come first serve).... And the beach club is a 3-4 minute drive with beach beds and a pool. Would definitely go back.

Ally P.

Yelp
Stay here. Friendly community, awesome staff. Complimentary Valet service to anywhere within 3 miles which is plenty as all the action is blocks away. Pools are beautiful and Paulo is a must experience pool host. Concierges are fantastic at creating that 5 star experience. We loved it, the kids loved it. Thanks.

Jill F.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE- THEY WILL STEAL YOUR JEWLERY. Unfortunately I made the fatal mistake of going out for a run and left my new diamond earrings in my cosmetic case. In the 45 minutes I was out my room was "cleaned" (if you could call it that) and my diamond earrings were STOLEN. The hotel of course told me that they were not responsible. In addition the hotel is not on the beach and the "beach club" is about 10 blocks away- walls are paper thin and you can hear EVERTHING! JUST AWFUL!!!!!!!!

Lori W.

Yelp
Another fantastic stay-cation. Super comfortable beds, large room, spotless, big soaking tub. Make sure Christian takes care of you at The Atlantic Grill bar. Great ambassador for the Seagate! Makes killer martinis & White Russians! We love the complimentary shuttle to-from their beach club and the amenities offered there, including beach lounge chairs & towels & drink service. Go for the spicy margarita Eddie brought our bags to the room & greeted us during our stay too. 10 star experience for us!

Sam G.

Yelp
This hotel is cursed or haunted with the amount of unfortunate events that occured during our stay. Way too overpriced, I could have gotten a more updated room with less issues at the Fairfield inn. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Aloft or Hyatt! Much better rooms and accommodations! Only two good things about the seagate: The staff is very kind and they have some gluten free/vegan options. Reasons not to waste your money: 1. their rooms are not updated to the latest technology. The tvs aren't smart tvs so no Netflix or other streaming services, you have to pay $20+ for a movie thats free everywhere else. 2. The fridge was too small for any normal sized take out containers and the entire bottom of the fridge was filled with water. Then they told me those weren't ever set up and they forgot they even had them 3. None of the light switches work. They offered to bring up a mini fridge and it didn't even get to us until the next day as we were checking out. 4. DO NOT GET AN AJOINING ROOM esp if you don't know the people on the other side. You hear absolutely everything in the other room. 5. The fire alarms went off at like 12pm by false alarm but no one was answering the phone or telling us when it was safe to go back in. 6. Clocks and phones stopped working after a couple days, maybe the power went out? 7. THE BATH WATER IS GREEEEEN ew. 8. The balcony wad filthy and all the chairs were ripped. 9. While it did rain terribly for the first two days, it was sunny the third and they said their pool was closed just in case it rained later. It never did. Oh and their private beach isn't even connected to the hotel, you have to take a shuttle or drive there. 10. The cabinet doors came right off. Oh and I overheard another guest ask for a new room because they moved a chair and found a huge mold stain on the carpet!!

Dina A.

Yelp
My children and I are on day 3 of a 6 day vacation (while dad works two towns over). I'll start with the pros: 1) shuttle service. An excellent bonus since we're without a vehicle during my husband's work day. Tip: keep singles on you for tipping. 2) cleanliness. Hotel lobby, halls, room, fitness and pool area is impeccably clean. 3) friendliness. Everyone that works here is so kind and eager to help, wether with information or assisting in how we spend our day. Cons 1) pricey. BE AWARE- gratuity is already added to every bill you get here, so if you don't see the fine print, you'll be tipping twice. Ie: beach bar drinks, 20% already added to bill, but I didn't realize, so for three days the staff was double tipped. My bad. Also- the "happy hour".... So, no HH offered poolside, neither at the hotel nor the beach pool. You must be inside at a bar table to receive the "special" pricing. I would think that especially at the beach bar, they'd allow for HH items at the pool bar/areas... 2) and this is a reach, I know- but the slider door to access our balcony, is a real PIA. Like, it takes every bit of strength, to slide open the door- and my "view" is of a parking lot. Meh. 3) when booked hotel, I was prompted to use code "GOLDEN" for 30% off my stay PLUS. Two complimentary drinks PLUS (up to) 20% off dining. I received none of that. When I called front desk I was told I got a day for free. I don't get it. I booked 6 nights, and I guess one free day is equivalent to 30% off but I wasn't offered or entitled to any further discounts. PLUS- even off season these discounted room rates add up- $40 a day to park (valet only) resort fee then two Florida tax fees. So what seems to be $250 a night adds up to like $350 a night. Just a word of caution. I understand during prime season, this hotel goes for $900+ a night, but for this blue collar family, it's a tad out of budget.... Even the ice cream, my son had a frozen pop at the pool, was $9. Lol. It adds up fast.

Mindy S.

Yelp
Absolutely love the seagate ! Such wonderful staff and accommodations are fabulous!!!! A true gem in Florida !

M. R.

Yelp
I've been here before and loved it but this year I was treated pretty poorly by a front desk manager and I needed to check out early to help my 80-year-old aunt get down to the keys to be with family. I would have given a five star, housekeeping women were great. Even some of the other front desk people were great The people in a little coffee shop were great but this guy this one guy really ruined it for me so I won't be coming back. I'll find some other place to go.

Amy S.

Yelp
I love staying at expensive, luxurious hotels but I don't get to do it often. I stayed at the Seagate and enjoyed my stay. I had a couple of minor problems as listed: 1. No ice on 2nd floor, almost no ice on 3rd floor, I had to go to the 4th floor just to get ice. 2. My fridge was HOT. When I called the front desk, they said "the fridges are just above room temperature just to keep things chilled" I told him mine was HOT. They sent up a big mini fridge which was fantastic! 3. I had a cob web on the crown molding which was never noticed and never cleaned, but it didn't bother me, I just thought I'd point it out. 4. The shuttle driver was so chatty and nice on our way to the beach club, however, on the way back, he was surly and got out of the vehicle before we could even open our doors! 5. One beach attendant was great, the other was terrible. The guy who set up our chairs and towels was super sweet. The guy who came around to take our drink and food orders came by once - just once - in 3 hours. He came by to take orders from other guests, but never came back to us. We ended up going to the refreshment stand on our own - NO TIP!!! 6. The light switches weren't working well. I'm sure they get a lot of abuse but if the hotel uses these switches, they should make sure they are working properly. 7. Their breakfast cafe (not sure if it is independently owned or hotel managed) wasn't very good. The pizza place down the street (I went there for a breakfast sandwich) was much more affordable and supremely more tasty. So, those are really minor things. The great things were the bed, pillows, the luxurious bathroom, the HOT water in the shower, the cleanliness, the service from staff (front desk people were a bit boojie and standoffish but mostly OK.). I got to talk with the girl who cleaned our room (she was on her way in and I was on my way out) she was sooooo sweet and gave the impression of wanting to make our stay amazing. I wish I could have stayed longer than 2 nights because the hotel pool looked inviting (I didn't get there due to weather); I would have totally used the spa services (not enough time); I would have visited the beach club more. I highly recommend this hotel, but, unfortunately, I can't give it a 5, but a 4 is really good.

Kelly T.

Yelp
A new year...a new me and that's all with the help of the amazing Carolynn Mazzei at the Seagate Hotel and Spa. Thank you for providing some much needed service to this mamma who just needed to reset. Carolynn is a true professional who gave me 100% of her. Request her if you're someone who just needs to melt away the year past and think positively on what's ahead. she's the girl to go to in Delray! Forever grateful

Nicholas G.

Yelp
Never been to Delray before and a friend suggested Seagate so we checked it out. It is a cool hotel located on a street corner near all the action in Delray. It is not close enough to the bars to deal with any of the noise. The room was huge and I think we got the regular one. They had a small balcony but we couldn't use it much because it rained every day we were there. The check in process was easy and the staff were very helpful. The one hiccup is that the wifi is not really clear because you pay for it but they take it off the bill at the end of your stay. The rooms dont get serviced quickly either. We were out all day and it still didnt happen unless we asked. The gym was really nice and have everything you need to have a good workout. It was clean and they had plenty of towels and water if needed. The pool on site is nothing special so we went to the beach club every day. The annoying part was the fact you have to take the hotel car stuttle to the beach club every day. They didn't have the bigger shuttle in service so you had to squeeze into the escalades. I found it inconvenient. The complimentary car service was useful for dinners and any trips around the hotel but not the beach club. The beach club was nice but nothing special. I wish the beach was closer so you don't have to drive every time. In the end the stay was good but there were some things that need buttoning up. The price was reasonable and we did have relaxing time. Delray is a solid spot and i would come back to Seagate.

Rebekah J.

Yelp
Still waiting for the hotel to acknowledge they add over $150 to our pool tab with fraudulent food and drinks. I am working with my bank to resolve. Managers called my friend a "liar" when she spoke to him on the phone. AWFUL customer service.

Shaun H.

Yelp
Was down at the Seagate with a wedding group, first time in Delray and I'll be back. Hotel was great for everything I needed. Was a minute from the beach, but I took advantage of the great Beach Club (worth the extra 10 min walk). Shout out to John and Nick at the front desk for being stellar. Special mention to the manager CJ for all his recommendations and help!

Anita N.

Yelp
I checked out of the Seagate after one night. I was supposed to stay longer but I decided to cut my stay short because of my experience. I traveled to the Seagate from California to get some rest and relaxation. I have stayed at the Seagate before and loved it, which is why I decided to return. I was put in Room 229. This is not the room you want when you need some rest and want some relaxation. First, this room is right next to a "Mechanical Room." What this means is that every few minutes a very loud machine located next to your room will spring into action. I called the front desk about this and asked about it. I was told that she had no idea what the noise could be, and that "security" would check it out. Strike one. Second, this room is directly over a driveway. On the night of my stay, this driveway was used by a linen delivery truck. The unloading process was loud (clanging, talking etc). I opened the sliding door and asked the people unloading the truck to please keep it down, as it was 1130 pm. The truck was there all night and didn't leave until the next morning. Strike two. Third, the room is directly over a LARGE metal dumpster which is used for the property's garbage. I don't know about you, but it's not really what I want to see when I am paying $650 + incidentals/night. Strike three. As I said above, I called the front desk to ask about the machinery sounds when it became clear that they weren't going to stop. I really had no interest in moving as I was already in bed for the night and was tired because I had traveled all day. Maybe I should have moved, as the machinery noise along with the hotel's cleaning staff woke me at 5 am (a housekeeping supply room is right around the corner). When I checked out, I mentioned to the front desk that I was leaving early, and I told them why. The response I received was, "well, I hope the rest of your day is better." Completely unacceptable. Really disappointed with my experience.

Sara A.

Yelp
We had a much needed spa day here during covid and felt safe and comfortable. The staff was professional, in gloves masks and face shields and practiced social distancing. The mani pedicure was lovely as was the technician. We got to hang by the pool and have lunch under the beautiful palm trees. It was truly a retreat. Definitely coming back here soon!

James M.

Yelp
Spent a weekend here with the family this month and had a wonderful time. Have stayed at other hotels in Delray, but will only be back to the Seagate. Great service, had a fun time at the bar at the Grille and wife had some spa treatments (says the spa is a must try!) shout out to manager CJ for being such a great help! We'll be back!

Alison B.

Yelp
Beautiful resort with access to private beach club and Oceanside pool bia shuttle. Rooms are huge and pretty luxurious with big balcony. Luxe property with valet only parking. Would love to stay here again!

C B.

Yelp
Usually come here twice a year. The hotel has gotten more and more seedy. Stains all over floor and drapes. Red corrosion in ceiling of bathroom. No hot water. No water pressure in sink or shower. This property is equal to a motel. 2 stars for location and food

Ben G.

Yelp
Unfortunately there are several things to avoid here. Separate company runs the valet service. Young kids who race around and if your car is damaged Seagate doesn't handle it. I have now heard the rooms are buggy as the place is in need of renovation.

Annettte V.

Yelp
Highly recommend going here. The people here were super friendly and accommodating. We plan to come every year for a shot get away.

Susan D.

Yelp
Having my wedding at the Seagate Hotel was everything I wanted it to be. Stefanie in catering was amazing and helped make it an incredible experience!!

John Henry L.

Yelp
Victoria was such a help and fantastic at the cafe! The muffins were amazing, I'm a regular!

Desiree A.

Yelp
I was lucky that a professional opportunity landed me a stay at the Seagate Hotel and Spa in the middle of downtown Delray Beach, Florida. The location was absolutely perfect - in the midst of numerous shops and eateries and within walking distance to the beach. The Seagate was easily the swankiest hotel I've ever stayed in - fresh flowers in the room, high end toiletries and a turn down service! I came back from dinner and actually squealed (you can tell I don't get out much) when I saw the comforter turned down with a chocolate and flower on the end. There were also "turn down service" toiletries that had been added to my nightstand, including a lavender pillow spray. The jacuzzi tub further helped me wind down for the night and I was able to open a room divider so that I could watch the large flat screen tv from the tub. All of the hotel staff were very attentive and every inch was clean and glamorous (if there ever was dust, it's probably made of diamonds!) - I hope I'll have the opportunity to return!

Desirae V.

Yelp
WEDDING- My husband and I were married at The Seagate Country Club in October 2019, and the experience was beautiful. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! From start to finish, Crystal was amazing at helping us bring to life every detail. Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at the Country Club were spacious, aesthetically pleasing, and overall perfect! The service was spectacular- Hotel staff included! My guests said it was the best wedding food and layout they've experienced. The bartenders made amazing drinks and helped the party flow. The night started and ended perfectly, I am beyond happy with my experience. If you are looking for a wedding venue or any party space in the Florida area, this is it.

Susan H.

Yelp
It was probably more like 4.5. They were very accommodating and got us right into our room which was very nice. The room was comfortable. The Shower good. We had been on a 5 hotel 10 night tour of the East Coast and it was the only hotel with a microwave. The pool and gym were okay. No snacks or water to be found after about 10 except at the hotel bar. Husband went to the hotel across the street to get bottled water and some chips. They have a great service with either a shuttle or private car to the Beach Club and up Atlantic to the hopping part of town. That is a very nice service. The cars are valet parked in a covered and monitored garage. I liked that since we had so many extra items in our car. All in all a great hotel. My only complaint might be that the beach club is was absolutely packed and no way we would get a chair or into the pool. We did however get a seat and had some lunch. I would recommend this hotel and will probably stay there again in the future.

Anthony S.

Yelp
This hotel needs a lot of work!!! We are here for our 37th anniversary and must say that this is a huge disappointment! Hotel is way overpriced and a 40 per day resort fee and we couldn't used the beach club due to a private event. Also 40 per day for valet parking. The rooms are old, dirty, and outdated!! Restaurant is so overpriced, my wife had a mai tai for 17.50. The shower and faucets have no pressure. The location is not great as it is a bit of a walk to the real action on Atlantic ave and the beach club is almost a mile away. When they got our car from the valet they left someone's BMW keys in my cup holder and the person couldn't use their car and they were desperate to find them. Refrigerator doesn't work, lamp shade are broken and crooked. Carpet in room is dirty and stained. We were so excited to come and now we are so disappointed. I don't know who they paid for the other reviews unless they are old ones? We will never come back again!!! What a giant ripoff! If it weren't for phony marketing, this place wouldn't exist in my opinion.

Melissa W.

Yelp
Seriously? No one answers the phone at 930 at night? No room service. No help from the front desk. The ad they run in the room is not the hotel I am staying at. I would strongly suggest you look elsewhere if you are looking for a hotel with any sort of service from your hotel.

Walter C.

Yelp
A bit pricey but certainly luxurious. Best Spa in town and just a quick walk to the beach. The dining and retail are just so so but for location and room quality this is certainly the best stay in Delray.

Sierra C.

Yelp
If you want to pay big money to be treated like a POW, book this hotel. This hotel may appear to have a great list amenities and have the promise of being very accommodating but that's laughable. A paying guest has zero rights and is simply an inconvenience to most. I've travelled all over and have NEVER been treated so poorly. The new management is a joke, consistently placing new rules, daily; what worked for you yesterday won't today and brace yourself for the new rules tomorrow. The only consistency is inconsistency. 1 star simply due to the fact that the hotel itself is fairly nice. However, after a week long stay, my family and I are ready to get out of this place. Problems started the moment we walked in the door. Check in was a nightmare, EVEN WITH CONFIRMATION PAPERS IN OUR HANDS, WE DID NOT GET THE ROOMS WE RESERVED. (Apparently even though they are a hotel, they can't guarantee rooms, "Someone else might want what you have." And let me tell you, that motto carried through the entire week.) By the way, the mini fridge in the rooms are actually an old mini bar that they do not stock and does not work, it's only sitting there to appear as though you have a refrigerator. That was the tip of the iceberg, this review wouldn't end anytime soon if I continued. Some of the staff is incredibly friendly while others are equally as rude. I end this review wishing them all the luck of a newly hatched sea-turtle amidst a flock of seagulls.

Yelp
I am having Brunch with my beautiful wife in one of the best hotels we have ever been to, we have brunch here at least every 3 weeks. The food is exceptional and the ambiance is is palatial. We will continue to be loyal patrons at the Seagate

Yelp
We had a relaxing stay at the Seagate. There was nothing or no one we came into contact with that was not top notch. We were greeted by a welcoming crew at reception area, they recognized our advance reservation, and we felt that they were expecting us. Geeta was warm and answered all our questions with ease. Our room was clean, well designed, spacious, and felt like all good hotels should feel...quiet & comforting. One of the best features of our stay was that they provided a private driver to transport you to the Seagate Beach and anywhere approx. 3 miles from their property ( until 11 pm). We visited the beach/ pool club and enjoyed a fine luncheon on the porch overlooking the azure waters of the fine Delray Beach area. They offer beach towels, loungers, umbrellas etc., to make your experience as relaxed as possible. The beach is beautiful! On windy days lots of windsurfers can be spotted at nearby beach riding the waves!! Another side feature of Seagate are its many aquariums. They highlight each of the areas around the property. They have an excellent restaurant bar and coffee shop on property as well as a candy / dessert area. Really a great place to stay in a lively area. One of Florida's finest! The location of the hotel gave us many great choices for dining. We wanted to get outside the hotel to dine and staff was able to suggest many places to choose from. We learned a lot about the area from Connor, he's very familiar with local spots! Overall, everyone we met related to our visit was friendly, professional and made us want to return again!

Yelp
3.5 Are we still in South Florida? Why is everyone being so nice? Sad, but that's what went through my mind the entire weekend I spent here for a staycation. Everyone from valet to check-in staff was courteous and welcoming. Checked in hours before the official check-in time and our room happened to be ready. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Unfortunately, I didn't love the bed and pillows. Both were too soft for my taste, and the sheets rustled loudly for some reason. Most lodging options in the area do not have direct access to the beach (which is across the street). This boutique hotel is located right on Atlantic and a couple of blocks away from the water. Being right on the strip allows you to forgo a car when exploring the area and, if need be, use hotel transportation, or a service like Uber to go very short distances. The hotel has a couple of SUVs that transport guests all day long as needed. In addition, they have a cute old fashioned trolley that does the same and works best for larger parties. I booked a ride for dinner the first night (for our party of eight), and the driver had it ready to go right when we came downstairs...AC too! The strip is full of small boutiques to peruse casually as well as endless food, drink, and live music options. To get to the beach, you can take one of the provided methods of transportation and head to the hotel's private Beach Club. I was bummed the dining areas were being remodeled, but otherwise loved the club concept. There's a pool, full bathrooms (with lockers and showers), lounge chairs, and beach chairs with umbrellas. Downstairs by the lobby, there are a couple of stores selling the usual sundries but also many unique products of all categories (lotions, perfume, funny cards, clothing, accessories, jewelry, shoes, books, etc.). There's also a very reasonably priced cafe for breakfast and snacks throughout the day. We didn't dine at the hotel restaurant, but at night they offered live music to a packed house (the crowd seemed to be mostly 60+, and they were partying harder and way longer than our group..ha! #goals). The spa is small and quaint. I wish I would have loved my massage; I did not (will review separately). But again, the service upon checking in was excellent. I would give it another go with someone else. I'm not sure how to fix the bed/pillows situation, but I would love to return for another stay once the Beach Club remodeling ends.

Yelp
My husband planned a weekend getaway to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. We had a king room with a balcony, overlooking the pool. A bottle of Prosecco and chocolate covered strawberries delivered to our room with congratulations! What a thoughtful surprise. We had dinner at the Atlantic Grill, we both had the salmon and it was delicious. The pool was delightful. We throughly enjoyed a 2 night stay.

Yelp
We stayed only for one night as we just wanted to spend a nice and relaxing weekend. I really got pleased by the customer service they have. From the valet to the front desk to the room service, it was nice to have such a great environment. The hotel is located in a area close to several restaurants, the beach and 10 min walking distance to the center of Delray. The have valet parking and they offer a shuttle to take you upon request (which is great since who wants to drive right? Haha). The room was very clean, spacious and nice. The only observation that we had was that some of the furniture was not well maintained and the type of place you want to make sure everything looks "perfect" right. Other than that great location and great service.

Yelp
Very nice hotel. Front desk staff pleasant and efficient. We had a king deluxe room which was spacious with pleasing decor. Valet service was always prompt. Room attendant service was superior - shout-out to Vance - with turn down in the evening. We appreciated having great housekeeping after a couple of years when most hotels discontinued it due to COVID. We enjoyed the beach club; drove our own car back and forth which was easy with valet at either end. We had a good lunch and dinner there. The spa offered a superior massage - thanks Pearl - but the atmosphere is not really luxe and the spa and massage rooms were very chilly. Our biggest issue was the lack of a sit-down breakfast. Nearby Luna Rosa is packed but the food is so-so. The hotel has a take-out cafe but the lines were insane on the weekend. We ended up going to Whole Foods for stuff to eat in our room, not what I was expecting. Overall, a positive experience, especially the staff.

Yelp
New Year was extremely disappointed. Service was horrible, it took our waiter half an hour to come to our table for our first drink order. The menu online was not the same menu when we arrived in that items online were missing from the actual menu. The appetizer must have been made several hours before because it was sticking to the plate. The Sea Bass was cold, and the crust on one of the desserts was like a brick. I would never recommend going to the Atlantic Grille

Yelp
For such a pricey massage I expected better. Steam room was nice but where they have you wait was scarce. I did like that I was offered champagne. Massage person really was not friendly nor accommodating. I was told I had to leave a 20% gratuity.

Yelp
I just returned from my forth stay at the Sea Gate over several years; and it is unfortunate to express that my stay was not pleasant at all. When paying $1,470 for two nights; let me say again, $1,470 for two nights, I expect to be treated properly. Wouldn't you? The truth is, the hotel being expensive is not the issue if it is worth the cost. The lobby and bar of the Sea Gate are pretty; with huge fish tanks, dark stained wood bar and dining area with another huge tank; but when checking into my room was not impressed, especially when I paid extra for 'two steps up' to what I think they called the Supreme or Superior room or something. Nothing special at all. On the first evening I contacted the front desk and asked if I could have a hamburger and fries delivered to the room and was directed to room service. I called for twenty minutes with no answer. Finally someone answered and said they were done delivering food for the evening. It was only 9:00pm. I would later discover they were supposed to deliver until 11:00pm. It was costing me $700 a night to stay here and I had to order food through grub hub. The following morning we figured housekeeping would come clean the room for us, change the bed, fresh towels, etc. We ordered breakfast to the room; (they forgot my orange juice and toast) and went out for the day. When we returned at 2:00pm our room was untouched. I forgot to add we called and requested that our room be cleaned before we went out for the day. Upon calling the front office again and requesting the room be cleaned, two hours later nobody came. I had to call the front desk and ask them what the issue was! Sorry to say this story is not over. After dinner on our second night (someplace else) we brought the parents back to the hotel to have a drink outside by the bar. It was a Sunday evening and the bar was empty, literally two people at the bar. The four of us get seated at a table, and wait, wait, wait, and weight. After twenty minutes, twenty minutes, someone comes over and pours us water, then says, someone will be with you soon. THE PLACE WAS EMPTY. I AM TALKING ABOUT TWENTY MINUTES ON A STOP WATCH. TRY IT! FINALLY, a waiter comes over and takes an order. We order four drinks. That's eat. No food, nothing fancy, four drinks; 2 diet cokes, 1 vodka cranberry and 1 coffee. WE WAIT, AND WAIT, AND WAIT, until the point where we were saying that it must be a joke, like someone is filming this for television. WE WAITED 40 MINUTES AND STILL DID NOT GET OUR DRINKS FROM AN EMPTY BAR! When I walked in the bar and asked the woman behind the bar what the problem was, her response was, "I'm getting to it." I walked up to the waiter, told him to give me my credit card he had in his pocket, and we walked out. I checked out of the Sea Gate and checked into the Marriot which was a THOUSAND DOLLARS LESS and the room I got in the Marriot was GORGEOUS! What a nightmare. The Sea Gate needs to remember that being polite to people isn't the only thing that cuts it. When people are paying thousands for their stay you have to deliver. They lost me, and my entire family which stayed there for life.

Yelp
A good boutique hotel alternative to the chains. It's a mid-size hotel that is a few stories high and comparable room sizes and full service to the Marriotts, Grand Hyatt's, and Ws. Here's the DL. + Location - only 1 street from A1A and Atlantic ++ Amenities - shuttles to their private beach club and their golf & spa club + Clean and updated rooms and suites + Quiet nights able to get sleep - No views or on to busy street - Valet only...long waits even though PKG is on site - Cordial but Unfriendly front desk staff - Gobs of fee based junk food in room taking up a large portion of the dresser = Turn down service = K cup coffee in room = Convenient on site bar and restaurants but the food is mediocre and on the pricy side + On site gift stores, aquariums lobby decorations Bottom line, this is a good alternative to the usual full service chains and private beach is definitely a plus. The down side is less than friendly front desk and no loyalty points.

Yelp
My wife and I love this hotel! We arrived planning to stay one night as we passed through on our way further South and decided to stay for two. The rooms are big and comfortable with high tech lighting control and awesome showers. Staff was so nice, each and every one, from the moment we arrive through departure. Max at the front desk gets it regarding customer satisfaction! The pool are is perfect. It has a large, long pool. Big enough to do laps. It also has a nice hot tub.

Yelp
This is a very good property close to the beach and has lots of amenities. The pool is small but good for the end of the day and reading. Two things I have to warn you about, the ac in our room is ok at best...and most importantly if your room deck is facing Atlantic ave... it's extremely loud!! - if I were ever going to come here again it would have to be a non-street view room or WOULD NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. I'm talking earplugs loud.

Yelp
My now husband and I booked this hotel for our guests to stay in a couple weeks ago for our wedding up the road at Benvenuto. It is one of the nicer hotels in the area, and we wanted to spend our wedding night in a beautiful place, hence the Seagate. From the start, Alison Cannizzaro, the sales manager at the Seagate was extremely helpful and organized in the booking process. Our wedding rate was also incredible and I was thankful to have booked everything earlier in the year to secure the best rates. Fast forward to our wedding weekend. We live in fort lauderdale, and had wanted to drive up a day earlier than our guests were arriving to have some R&R alone time before all the craziness of the wedding weekend begun. I get a call from Alison. Unfortunately a pipe burst right outside the suite we had booked for ourselves, and the whole hotel had no running water. I told myself to NOT freak out lol and we continued to go there anyway. We arrive, the front desk attendant was told to book us two rooms next door to each other instead that way it was basically the equivalent to the suite size we were originally expecting. The rooms are truly beautiful here, and we made the best out of not being able to have our original suite. I quickly learned through the planning process that things are GOING to go wrong during your wedding/wedding weekend. The kitchen was closing down early due to there not being any running water but they were even able to send up to our room meals from the kitchen and a bottle of champagne, comped, for the inconvenience and to welcome us for our special weekend. The next morning, we decided to order room service before our rehearsal at our venue about 15 minutes away from the hotel. Our room service order somehow got delivered to the wrong room and we had waited an hour for our food which we were initially quoted 15 minutes for. I called to see what happened and they got me in touch with the manager who apologized and sent our order up. Complimentary. The eggs benedict is AMAZING btw, highly recommend! We are getting ready to leave and then there was a knock at the door- the hotel sent up complimentary goodies from the spa and the cutest BRIDE plush robe that i still wear- i thought "can i just be a bride forever?!" lol. All of our guests were happy with their accommodations, our wedding day was perfect, and when we got back to our suite we had chocolate covered strawberries and champagne waiting for us which was a great surprise to end the night. Upon checkout, we booked a couples massage that was a great way to end our stay. The spa is beautiful and luxurious. So overall besides a few hiccups that were out of the hotel's control, we had an amazing stay and couldn't have felt more special elsewhere. Alison did everything she could to make it right for us, and we appreciate it more than you know -- THANK YOU SEAGATE from the new Mr. and Mrs. Suarez, for an enjoyable wedding weekend. Worth every penny.

Yelp
I had such high hopes for this place and maybe my impression can be changed but so far, not so good. I haven't utilized the beach club yet but when I was picked up by transportation, I was misfortunate enough to ride back to the hotel with three very inebriated guests. I get it...you're on vacation but my issue is that other guests are subjected to vomiting in the vehicle because you can't hold it for one mile. Yes, the ride was bumpy but I can only assume the driver wanted them out of there as badly as I did. With this caliber of hotel, I would expect the staff at the beach club could warn the front desk so they could send a dedicated driver. They were certainly aware because they were watching them all load up. The room was nice...the amazing jet tub didn't work and I had to contact the desk three times about it before they sent someone up to flip the GFCI switch (under a panel in the closet). This is apparently a frequent occurrence, so bring a screwdriver, so you aren't sad and wet in a bathtub like I was on my first night. Haven't tried it out since...so amazing is TBD. There were a couple of other issues but I won't beat this to death and instead I'll end on a good-ish note because I usually don't do reviews . The restaurant was lovely and the food was delicious. The servers we had were not as skilled as those in some high end restaurants but it didn't detract from the experience. I hope the remainder of my stay is redeeming.

Yelp
Happy Hour is a delight. 3pm - 6pm. There's a great menu, good prices, and the servers are terrific. Ralph was so personable and accommodating. I'll be sure to go back.

Yelp
Delray voted for no plastic straws. For a while they had paper straws and wooden stirrers in the cafe. Then they switched back to plastic! Bring back the paper straws!

Yelp
Be VERY careful of windy days at the beach club as their metal umbrellas were flying through the air and hit multiple people on our stay (including me). Surprised management does not have a SAFETY measure in place above 15mph winds. Oh, and though I had to leave to go to Urgent Care (head injury) they still charged us for the drinks we never finished....interesting priorities. Otherwise a nice hotel though food service is hit and miss due partly to automatic 20% gratuity added to all bills.
