The Serangoon House Little India, Singapore, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Great stay! It’s in the heart of little India and was perfectly located to get around to explore the culture. The staff was very friendly and accommodated to our needs immediately. They have great varieties for breakfast and evening cocktails. We definitely recommend staying here. Thank you for giving us this experience at your place!

A charming beautiful little hotel strategicly located. Ours come with delicious breakfast. Staffs are friendly and very accomodating. Amenities only set for 2, they send to the room very quickly when I asked for towel & water for 3 pax & a shaver. However I couldn’t find shower cap, yet to call & ask for it to be sent, is too bothersome. Room is very small & no wardrobe, only hangers on the wall. The bed is hardwood carved classic style, it’s a queen size bunkbed to accomodate 4, only the people sleeping upper deck needs to climb a wooden detachable monkey ladder, watch your head though, we bumped our head on the carving that hang a bit too low.

Stayed for one night on August 1 while on an business trip to Singapore. While I was a bit tentative on the hotel, but it turned out to be a nice pleasant surprise. The size of the room is defintely small and would have been difficult if it was more than one person staying in the room. Everything in the room worked and the amenities were of good quality. The a-la-carte breakfast left a bit to be desired. Found the items quite small in portion and not at good in quality. The service was a bit overwhelmed as the hotel was running at 100%. The area has really transformed itself over time. I have been traveling to Singapore for work for over 20 years and now prefer staying in this part of town due to its proximity to reasonably priced food and other options. Also the MRT makes it easy to travel to other locations quite fast.

The layout of the rooms are really cramped. Bunk beds are like hostel rooms. U have no space to move around. There is no proper restaurant for Breakfast. You get served in a Bar. Staffs are good but cant help you much. Fairly clean rooms. Linen smelled fresh. Location is the key. Its very well connected in and out.

The hotel is very close to mustafa, little India. The rooms were very good as they renovated recently. Service was good except for the 500 SGD deposit they demanded from us god know why. The breakfast menu never changes and we ate same for the 5 days we stayed. Overall the worth for the location and rooms. But mind the deposit which is way too much compared to any other stay in Singapore.

The location is perfect, right in the heart of Little India, with easy access to vibrant cultural sites, delicious food, and convenient public transport. Despite the central location, the hotel maintained a peaceful atmosphere, ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring. Breakfast was delightful, offering a nice selection of local and international dishes in a stylish setting. Every detail, from the decor to the service, reflected care and quality. I highly recommend Serangoon House to anyone visiting Singapore—it truly exceeded my expectations, and I would love to return!

Had a wonderful stay in The Serangoon. I had one night in transit and this hotel was perfect. It's a very quaint and beautifully decorated hotel in the midst of little India. Kamala at the front desk made sure my stay was comfortable,was very pleasant and super helpful. She also gave me a late check out since my flight got delayed. Her assistant whose name I forgot also was very helpful. Overall had a great stay and would definitely consider staying here if I come the Singapore way !
