I found this spot on accident searching for burgers near me. And let me tell you, I was NOT disappointed! I am SO glad I found this hidden gem! This place is exceptionally clean, has a bar, lots of spots to sit, and the staff and atmosphere is incredible! The staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly and being a clean freak, oh my gosh, super clean and attentive to the dining areas. I picked up the bacon burgers with tots, and onion rings. Also had the Oreo churro and cheese fries. Every single thing was absolutely delicious! Those buns though! Fire!! Everything was fresh and delicious. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Large portions too! Do NOT skip on this place! The best places are hidden, this is one of them! I am super picky about foods and I had zero complaints. I will 100% be back again! Oh and forgot to mention… the Oreo churros. Sweet Jesus!! To. Die. For!!!! Get them!!! So delicious!!

Place was clean, I mean spotless. I put my red tray down at the bus station and went back to grab the rest of my trash, it was already cleared by the time I got back. Food didn’t take long, was super fresh and hot. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with tots, my boyfriend got whichever burger comes with bbq stuff on it with onion rings. The toppings and the bun were great! The patty itself was cooked properly, could’ve used more seasoning but the toppings made up for it and both were very good. We wanted to try the sweets but were absolutely stuffed by the time we finished. Price was great, about the same as a fast food combo now n days. Looking forward to trying more food soon

One of the few places I will genuinely regular! Don't let the exterior appearance throw you off, interior is done amazing, food is incredible, staff are just great! Burger was cooked perfectly, bun is toasted perfectly to not become soggy. Fries wonderfully crisp and even 10 minutes into eating remained crisp. I paid roughly $24 for a Jalapeño Popper Burger, Fries, big shake, included 20% Tip. Prices are fantastic for both the quality and quantity of food. I'm a big guy and I had to take the shake to go. And they have a rewards program! UPDATE Been showing up for a while now. And I can genuinely say I've never even been slightly disappointed. From staff to good every aspect of this restaurant has amazed me. I'll be coming here still the day I die. They deserve so much more attention !

WOW, WOW, WOW!!! 😯 Did I say WOW???😁 We came in from out of town and decided to look for a burger place since we only eat one meal a day! After searching several places, the reviews led us to The Shack!! From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted by the friendly staff, including the manager I believe, who were all IMPECCABLE throughout our visit!! They were very patient in helping us navigate the menu so that we were satisfied. I ordered the macho burger🍔🤤with onion rings and sweet potato fries and my husband ordered the mushroom Swiss burger🍔🤤with the loaded tater tots!!! The tots had the perfect amount of spiciness!! Even the buns were amazing, SO SOFT with a slight sweetness! We were COMPLETELY satisfied!!😋 EVERYTHING was cooked to PERFECTION!! The burgers were HUGE, FULL OF FLAVOR and perfectly JUICY!!! So thankful we found this place and we now have a favorite to come to when we visit town!!!🙌 AAAAA+++++ My husband is going to tell his entire team about this place because they also offer military discounts!!!🙏🙌 Wish my pictures had been more in the light!

This is such a cute spot! They have amazing burgers deliciously huge!🍔 oh and their hotdogs are amazing. I also loved how they have street dessert like elote en vaso and churros . The Italian ice creams are amazing and if you like coconut you really really need to have the coconut dream 🥥 okay also their agua frescas are all natural which is a plus friends .okay and to recap the best thing about this place is that it’s not expensive! Been here twice and they have not disappointed me

First time here and I’ll definitely be back! Food was really good, big portions, and came out fresh and HOT! Got the Mexican dog and it was awesome! Atmosphere is super cute too, very laid back and staff is polite and fast.

We decided to try this place out on our way home from the Wildlife Ranch. I am so glad we did. The buns are fresh made and slightly sweet. The variety of burgers, dogs, sides, desserts, and drinks is outstanding. The staff is very friendly and really attentive. Don't sleep on this place!!

We had the texas dog and the mushroom burger on a keto bun. The food was hot and fresh. They offer a variety of sides. I got a corn in the cup, which was amazing, and we tried the tater tots. The staff was friendly and the food was amazing. I highly recommend trying this place out.

Let me start by saying that I try to support small businesses when possible. However, I also owe it to the rest of the community to be fair in a review. . It's expensive to take a family out these days. I brought my family here based on the amazing reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was less than stellar. Service was fine, but the food really missed the mark. For the most part portions were generous with one exception. I completely agree with the previous review regarding the onion rings. The size is pretty small when compared with similar businesses. The meat patty was very dense and lacked a little flavor. The buns are above average. However, ours were hard and one member of our party thought they were too sweet. The shake had a very distinct vanilla bean flavor, which would have been good if it hadn't been a chocolate shake. Sides were standard fair - fries, tots and rings but were mediocre examples. My crunch burger was just weird. Homemade chili (had beans and very little flavor), Fritos, cheese (ended up being cheese sauce - think Ricos but tasteless), and mayo. It was just a squishy weird mess. I honestly only ate 1/3 of it before giving up. There are so many great burger places in San Antonio. Based on my experience this doesn't rank with them........and I really don't understand the 4.9 stars. I wish all locals businesses the best and it looks like this one has a great following. Unfortunately, my family will not be among that following.

This place has really yummy hamburgers went to try them out just because I saw that they had opened. It was really pleasantly surprised with the quality of everything that we had. They also have a small little bar, which has a nice little drink menu. If you have a chance, you should stop by and give them a shot.

So tasty! We had a couple of shots - Mexican Candy and pickle Juice both were good. The burger was amazing!!! The tots and fries were both really good. Tons of sauces. Get the loaded things with cheese on the size- servings too big to eat at once. Can't wait to be back!

The burgers were FANTASTIC! Drinks were also fabulous. The layout is a little odd and they don't have a specific bar tender but we also were there on a Thursday. Will definitely be going back. Easy experience, friendly staff and fast service. Big fan of this Kansas burger joint

The Shack is a awesome burger joint. The service was excellent. Our server really helped order what we wanted. The environment was really relaxing and low key.

Deeelicious!! We've been waiting for this place to open and today we finally got to try it. It is a walk up and order restaurant with plenty of seating inside. We had the owner as our cashier so he was more than helpful with any questions on the menu. Lunch for me was the Bistro Burger and chili cheese tots. The burger was seasoned perfect, the sour bread was crusty and yummy and the toppings were gooey and not too messy. The tots were good, the chili has beans and the cheese was pretty good. I would have liked some shredded cheese or onions on top of it for some extra texture and flavor. My partner in crime had the Southwest Burger on a grilled tortilla and corn in a cup. She said the toppings were awesome, along with the patty, an all together very good and different burger. The corn in a cup was pipping hot and tasty! Going in there looks clean and service was great. I got a cheese burger with onion rings. Food was amazing I'm giving this a 3 star because of the amount of onion rings they gave me... was disappointed when I opened the box and only saw like 4 onion rings in there and had to pay "extra" for onion rings .

The food is always delicious! The staff is very friendly. This place is definitely a hidden gem. I got the southwest burger on a tortilla with sweet potatoes fries. The milkshake I got was the perfect thickness. They had some fun desserts/drinks that I will eventually try.

Good food. Good service. The kids were excited about $8 funnel cakes for dessert. Glad to have a burger joint in the 78247 area.

Was finally able to try this place this week. I was blown away simply by looking at the menu. It will take me a while to explore it, but I'm up for the challenge. The burger I tried was very juicy and tasty. The patty was thick. I sampled some desserts and they were amazing. I also spotted a full bar, so this will definitely be a happy hour option!

The staff was very welcoming. My hamburger was large and well put together. Dry, but good flavor. It was a relief to not have drip all over the place. The tater tots and sweet potato fries were a perfect match to the burger. Corn in a Cup was spot on! Price is reasonable. I will be back to try more!

The hamburger was excellent. The patty was very tasty. The tator tots were crisp. Come hungry. You will leave stuffed. I plan to return.

A bit on the expensive side but when I bit into the mushroom Swiss with sautéed onions and mushrooms the delicious beef flavor came through as the prime ingredient in this burger. Once again proving that you get what you pay for. I talked with Freddie and asked him about the beef and he confirmed that it's never frozen and the flavor convinces me that it's true. A delicious and delightful surprise and one of the best burgers I've ever had!

They got some good burgers and corn cups. I guess I gotta try one thing @ a time from the menu...

Ok, it's been awhile since I've had something so good that I'd leave a review. That being said... This place was amazing!! This was the kind of burger I've been craving and had yet to find in San Antonio. Just come try it for yourselves and decide. Great size, fresh flavorful patty, fresh toppings and amazing bun. What more can you ask for. The fries were great too, I like a seasoned fry though. Try the Shackrizzo, OMG it was good!! Oh and the staff was super friendly. It's location would be my only fear, because this area of Perrin Beitel isn't highly trafficked any more, but make the trip please and give this place a try so they stick around Sorry for not taking pictures...I ate it all

The Philly cheesesteak is probably the best one I've ever had and I've tried a lot of different places. The service is friendly and helpful. The ambiance is nice, I like that they have a full bar in case you're looking for something other than a soda. I like that there is no one hovering over me while I'm enjoying my sandwich. I've yet to try the burgers but they are on my bucket list :)

I've been looking for a burger place in the northeast side of San Antonio that has great quality. This place has it! I got here as soon as they were open, plenty of TV's all over the wall to watch sports events, it's also just a great spot to grab some lunch with some friends/family. The bar is small but awesome for a burger spot! Definitely check "The Shack" out!

Their menu is unique!!! I ate corn in a cup for the first time!!! A cheeseburger was amazing!!! Fries are different and so crispy!! The bun didn't fall apart! Loved it You usually don't find funnel cakes anywhere either!!! I recommend everyone trying Service was immediately! Decorated really cute and inviting. There's a bar if you're interested too!!!

Great food, great service, ambience was nice! Stopped by for lunch on a whim with a group and none of us had to wait very long. Burger was delicious! I would definitely recommend this place for lunch, dinner, linner, brunch & any other meal lol!

We've been twice and both times were fantastic! The food portions are insane we didn't even finish half our entrees and the flavors are so good. The service is friendly and attentive with the whole staff greeting everyone and making sure you feel welcome and looked after without hovering or rushing!! We've tried a burger a chili dog onion rings corn cups tots and a cherry dilly.. My husband loves that he can get a corn cup as a side and I love the dilly as they are hard to find NOT using the grainy raspa ice it's a smooth Italian ice.. I love the everything about this place except the parking lot that definitely needs a makeover so be careful driving in.. we for sure see us frequenting this place for a meal, snack or drink!! I'll try to remember pictures next time but we couldn't help and dig straight in!!

I don't know how we were the only ones here. Best burger I've had in years. You have to get the "shackrizzo." The sweet potato fries are great too. Don't miss out, San Antonio.

The Shack SMACKS!!!! Can't wait to try more menu items. If you love cheese I reccomend the mini Big Cheese, still a big burger for being "mini". Then enjoy a churro split, my wife and I shared and it was plenty, finished it before we could take a pic.

We had burgers. Enjoyed them cooked perfectly, fries were good too. But the onion rings!!! Yummy.

The burgers are fully loaded, made with Hawaiian buns, mine was bunless, they were tasty. Club Sandwich was good, fries are crisp and delicious.

We have dined at The Shack several times now and the burgers always taste fresh and are delicious. We love their fries too. We enjoy the sweet and savory treats they offer too.

It was our first time going and it was amazing experience from the food to the service! Ethan G was friendly and informative on the menu. The young lady at the bar who made my strawberry margarita was AWESOME! Thank you for an enjoyable date night we both had! We'll be back soon!

The shack got my brother and I right. He got the "shackrizzo" and i just got the cheeseburger but let me tell you, it was AMAZING. we both got sweet potato fries and auga frescas and it was the best burger experience ive had all year. i'm extremely impressed and excited to come back and try something new!
