"Longtime Glenwood Park neighborhood restaurant The Shed at Glenwood closes after 12 years on Bill Kennedy Way, the AJC reports. It appears the closure is a direct result of the pandemic. According to a statement provided by owner Rich Spillane, the Shed has remained closed since late March over safety concerns resulting from the health crisis. “Unfortunately, due to the pandemic we could not responsibly and safely stay open,” Spillane said. Over the years, the Shed became known for its wine dinners and whiskey classes, Sunday brunches and suppers, and events like its popular holiday pajama brunch buffet." - Beth McKibben

I’ve been to the Shed a few times and it never disappoints. The service is a great and the staff is friendly. I ordered the fried chicken omelette. I was a bit skeptical about having fried chicken in my omelette but it was decent. I don’t think I would order it again. I’ve had better things but it wasn’t bad. The Fish and Grits are delicious. I do enjoy The Shed for brunch and dinner.

Overpriced for the quality. We have had dinner and brunch here several times. Each time we have had items that were decent, but nothing spectacular. Each time we have also had a few items that were absolutely terrible. This goes for both the brunch and dinner. The drinks, however, are good. For this brunch occasion, the food was cold when we received it. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and biscuits. In addition to being cold, the gravy was flavorless. The crab cake eggs benedict were also cold, which is not great for crab cakes. However, the eggs were the perfect consistency for a poached egg. The lemon was a little overpowering, which is typically a flavor I really enjoy. The kale salad as a side was just mediocre. It did not do the plate any justice. If my side is going to be a kale salad, I expect for it to be impressive. The grits were probably the best part.

This place is very cute and has a Nice atmosphere. I had a bit of a struggle on my first visit. We where sat at a table out side, which we asked for and after 15 mins of sitting there I had to go and ask if there was a server for our table. Meanwhile I watched 2 other tables get sat and served and 3 servers walked by with out saying a word. We finally ordered our food, i ordered the chicken omelet and it had to be sent back because it was mismade. The manager was nice and recovered nicely. I would go back and try it again.

Great brunch place. Wide range of options on the menu. I had the steak and eggs. (Substituted the roasted potatoes to try their fried green tomatoes). Steak was cooked medium well to my liking. Biscuit was soft & fluffy and went well with the jelly spread I was given. Very satisfied with the service of The Shed! I’ll be back.

Not really that great. On the upside, their cocktails were quite good. The food, however, was sub-par. Ordered a cheese plate, a beef yakitori and Tuna sashimi. The cheese plate was fine, nothing special. It came with bread, honey and jam. The bread was kind of weird, seemed fairly generic. It was a weird mix of oily and hard. Seems like it had been toasted a few hours before, then set aside till it was served. The cheese was okay. Again, nothing special, but not necessarily disappointing. The yakitori was ok. The beef slices were large, but the flavor was fairly bland. The tuna sashimi was simply not good. It had a fishy taste and smell. No real flavor other than that. It hadn't quite gone bad yet, but it was not fresh and seemed like it had been sitting around for too long, and if you're an establishment serving sashimi, serving it on the not so fresh side of things is worrisome.

Wonderful event to have brunch with Santa. Great menu, great atmosphere, superb service. The thick-cut bacon on the BLT was spectacular. Had the buckeye dessert and the Creme Brule. So freaking delicious. 😋

Oyster shucker needs to learn how to not scramble the poor bivalve. A few of them smelled like death so i of course didn’t eat them. Lost my appetite so stopped with 3 on my plate. I consider myself an oyster connoisseur and sample them around the world so I’m not just being squeamish. Place was cute and waiter was friendly though. Other food might be ok but loat my appetite so i wouldn’t know.
